MrsPEJ (10/5): Lovely Hotel - My husband and I had a lovely stay in the Hotel Park Avenue. We were in Piestany to see our granddaughter. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff in reception were so helpful and friendly. There was plenty of choice of food for breakfast. On our last morning we had to leave early, before breakfast, and we were provided with a packed breakfast to take away with us. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Creighton (10/5): - The hotel is in the beautiful, friendly, small city of Piestany in Central Slovakia. The hotel was clean, well-managed and organized. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good continental breakfast. I will return to Hotel Park Avenue again.

Room is spacious and clean..although try to avoid jointing room as I can hear nearly everything next door through the door that we share. Hotel is right next to a park, which is great for morning jogs and walks. It is within 5 min from shops and restaurants. Great value, locations and service.

696JohnB (6/5): Basic Business Hotel a bit off the beaten path - Staff was friendly and cooked breakfast was good. Lights in the hallways are on motion sensors and they turn on and off quickly as you pass by to your room. Sort of a weird effect. While there is a thermostat in the room, it did not work for me.
Ringroaders (10/5): Lovely stay - Stayed in this hotel for a wedding. Loved the hotel and in particular thanks to Miro on night reception who with great humour and excellent english provided us with drinks late at night and was always helpful. A quaint hotel in an area which feels like a throwback to the 50s. Had a great time and would return again especially as everything was fantastic value.

WILLIAM (8/5): Good hotel - Hotel was OK. Be aware if you arrive late the restaurant and bar closes at 9PM sharp. I got there at five to. They rushed the order through, I got one beer from the waitress and then was presented with the bill to sign, and she was off - turned the lights off behind the bar leaving me in semi darkness. The rooms themselves are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is good (They will make eggs to order) but you often have to knock the kitchen door to get the waitress to empty the coffee machine / clean a table. The hotel is quite good, but generally the Staff haven't got to grips with Customer Service, except for the Receptionists, who are excellent, especially the guy who used to work in toe PAvla
eszterb2017 (10/5): Comfortable and friendly - We spent 2 nights at the hotel, the room was large and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. We ate the hotel restaurant several times, the food was great and relatively cheap. Highly recommended!
wade (10/5): Recommended city center hotel - Right in center of town, yet quiet. Great shower, comfy bed, clean room and nice breakfast. The hotel's steak restaurant was reasonably priced, service and food excellent!
tonymac1307 (8/5): SECOND VISIT... - Stayed here around 4 years ago, and then again last week. There was confusion with the room I booked. Whilst I'd originally booked a double room, I made enquiries about upgrading to one of the apartments on the roof, was given a price, and decided to go ahead. However, when I checked in, I found out that I'd been 2 co-joined bedrooms on the second floor. The receptionist told me that the rooftop rooms are booked out "months in advance", but somehow she omitted to tell me this when I was booked. I was disappointed. The duty manager gave me a gin and tonic to make things up to me... Anyway, lunch was excellent, and taken in the garden. The shower in the bathroom was very rusty. The internet was very slow and constantly dropped out. Day 3 (evening) we had no hot water. So, an okay stay, but disappointing compared to my first visit. I'll try the Hotel Lowe next time as our friends were staying there at the same time and they said it was excellent.

The rooms are nice and big with all needed facilities, The breakfast was a little simple. To little fruit and to much sweets. But overall a nice and good hotel
662sang (10/5): Lunch - This is the place where I come often for lunch. Inam happy with the menu for good price and good quality of food. Also the stff are very friendly and you are not waiting a lot but they are quick for your lunch break.
267jespern (6/5): Nice Hotel - I attended a business seminar and the hotel did a medium to good job. The room was nice, big and clean. I had a big bug in my room which I didn't like. The lunch took very long time to serve I waited almost 1 hour to have mine served. The hotel is placed well in the city center of Piestany.

The_George_77 (8/5): Good for business trip - Is a really nice, quite and clean hotel. I have been twice, the first time I got some kind of sofa bed that I did not like. Please make sure when you do the reservation that you won´t get this type of bed. But besides that Hotel is really good. A lot of restaurants close by and they are really cheap. Really nice city
Jaegerchick (10/5): Lovely hotel near to everything yet tucked away near the park area - My husband and I stayed at this hotel last weekend for three nights, as we had come over to a friends wedding in Piestany. It's a really nice hotel, we had one of the rooms at the top, with a small narrow terrace. The bedroom was huge, nice shower room, and a separate small lounge area. Unfortunately we couldn't utilise the lounge area as the AC didn't work in this room, only the bedroom and last Saturday was one of the hottest days possible with a freak heatwave. Fortunately the AC was working fine in the bedroom otherwise we would have melted! The breakfast was fine, varied choice and all the staff were really helpful. We had friends staying all over Piestany for the wedding, in the Sandor Pavillion, and the Pavla, to name a couple. We only went in the Sandor, which again seemed a lovely hotel as well and that one has a pool. I would certainly come back to the Hotel Park Avenue if we ever came back to Piestany.
BuzzerAMG (10/5): A secret in a secret - Well where to start... Piestany is a lovely town a little off the beaten track. You can get here by car or train from either Bratislava or Vienna. The town is wonderful and relaxed and mostly quiet except in the night of the summer. But I am supposed to be writing about the wonderful Hotel Park Avenue! We have been to Piestany about 6 times now and have stayed in a variety of hotels. However, not any more, this Hotel will be our first choice in future... Firstly we booked a suite at a very reasonable rate (well mid to upper range for the area but excellent value for a British traveller!! On arrival we were given a room on the first floor and swiftly rang reception to enquire about the possibility of have one of the top floor Penthouse 'Apartments' a quick look in their bookings and we were moved. The room is wonderful. Glass all round looking out over a peaceful park and trees. Waking to the sun ans the trees and the birds was great although not intrusive. Breakfast is included and is adequate if not outstanding but does the job to set you up for a day wandering the lovely town and surrounding areas. This is the first time we have rented bicycles and would recommend that. Cycle hire is available from a small shop opposite the Hotel Magnolia a few hundred meters away at €10 euro per day. With a bike you can take in all the town and use the cycle paths along the river and visit the bars and pit stops on the banks! Spa island is a three minute walk to the bridge and you can sample the delights of the Irma Spa with the thermal bath and mud bath and wrap, a great massage and all the usual treatments at a fraction of the price of U.K. Spa. You can use the gym and the sauna and steam room at the Park Avenue hotel and have an hours massage for just €18 !!! The hotel restaurant is called the Steakpark and as you would expect Serves steaks, and good steaks at that!! Staff at the hotel are very helpful and attentive. Lucia on the reception and Marek in the bar/restaurant stand out but they are all there to help you. There is no room service menu as such but they are more than happy to bring a drink to your room and in record time! - a pretty good mini bar and at very good prices tops it off. So I called my review 'a secret in a secret' because the town is a well kept secret, shhhh, and the hotel was a secret until we found it!!

Central location, everything within walking distance. Breakfast buffet was at average. Next time I guess I will choose a more sophisticated Spa hotel
Gone2golf (10/5): Charming - Stayed one night with my wife in mid-November and was very happy with the choice. The Hotel Park Avenue was charming and in my opinion would be a great place to stay for a relaxing short break. Ideally located in a safe, quite area; only 2 minutes from the restaurants and 5 minutes walking to the river. Our room was clean and had a lovely big comfy bed. There were no coffee making facilities but there was a well-stocked minibar. There is a nice bar beside reception and everyone we spoke to was friendly and inviting. Breakfast was basic and fine. I look forward to returning in the future.
