• YoungGun (6/5): Nice modern hotel, but was let down by no lifts. - Stayed @Home at Udon for one night whilst visiting Udon Thani City. My preferred Hotel was unavailable on this occasion, so chose @Home at Udon for its location to Central Plaza, UD Town and the nightlife. Paid £21 for a Deluxe Room for the night via Agoda and on first impressions it looks a very modern Hotel. The only downside being their is no lift, so our room 406 was a hike up three floors of stairs. Was also a bit disappointed that we'd asked for a non-smoking room, but this room had clearly had smokers in the past. Nonetheless, for only £21 I could grumble with the spacious room and large double bed that I was provided for this short stopover. As I mentioned before, it's location was a plus as it was a 5/10 minute walk to either Central Plaza or UD Town. Also, Udon Thani's nightlife and Walking Street is 200 yards away on the same road. I certainly wouldn't put this on top of my list of places to stay in Udon Thani City, but for value for money it's a good choice for those visiting Udon Thani for a night or two.
• Michael (4/5): - Awful room. The towels were about 150 years old and badly stained. No cups, no kettle, no microwave. The wifi was hopeless - constantly got bumped off and needed to log in again. The toilet didn't flush properly and the sink didn't drain properly.

Clean big rooms. Your own balcony on the GF for smoking area. Lovely bathroom. Huge beds. Really friendly desk staff. Car parking and a lobby area with food and coffee you can make and microwave for self service (paid for of course). Really close to everything you want. It was right opposite Brick House Bar and Restaurant and close to the nightlife complex, as well as the night markets, Central and Bus station. Hard to find better value for money in such a great location and in such great condition!

• William (10/5): Price/Quality/Staff/Location: all great! - This is my go-to hotel when I have to go to Udon Thani. This trip was the first time we got the SLIGHTLY more expensive room. I only have high regards for the lower priced rooms, but if you don't mind climbing some stairs, the more expensive room has more space and a patio where one can observe the street view. The street action is very good for getting a feel of Thailand one would never get in the 5 start huge hotels nearby. Access to Bangkok Hospital and the mall are literally 200-500 steps away.

• pauloO4033IA (8/5): Motorbike parking and good value - This is a basic hotel but everything works and it’s no problem it’s clean and in a good location for night life. Parking undercover for motorcycles you need to be careful there is no nails on the floor to hole your tyres.

• JMK_The_Wanderer (8/5): Good Value, Great Location - This was my second stay at this hotel. The standard rooms are basic, no frills, but a very good value. Included are wardrobe (with safe box), desk, large bed (average comfort), fridge, modern TV, small but functional bathroom, and a balcony with sink. There is no kettle in the standard room, but in the lobby they have a kettle and sell nescafe, quick noodles, water, beer, etc. Wifi was average, cut out a few times. Daytime staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful! Location is outstanding, a short walk to Central Plaza and two night markets, and many food, bar, and massage options are steps away. There are washing machines in the car park area, which came in handy. It is true, as some have pointed out, that the loudspeakers (9AM-9PM) from Central Plaza are annoying, but with the door shut and AC on, it's a minor issue. I plan to return here for my next visit.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel, but dicey neighborhood - Very nice service, clean and well maintained property. Parking is a bit of a chore, but they were helpful with that. The room is spacious, and basic. The bathroom and shower was outstanding. The neighborhood is not comfortable for walking as the area from here to Central Plaza (fantastic) and to the night market is hard to walk at night. Very dark, broken up, and rather dirty. It has been the same for at least 10 years. Even with so many new hotels, the city does not catch up. I've stayed several places in Udon over the years, and I would not stay on this Soi again. But it is not the fault of the hotel.
• ronaldmD6184CT (6/5): Good rooms and friendly staff - This is located on "Soi Farang". The hotel is only about 8 years old, well maintained, and the staff is very nice. The room basic, the bathroom exceptionally nice for the price. The parking is a challenge, but they help you maneuver. Because of the condition of this Soi I will not stay here again. The area has many new hotels, however my complaint is that the city has done nothing to improve the walkways connecting Central Plaza, this street, or with the night market and on to UD Town. Broken, dangerous, dark, and dirty in between these areas. It has been the same for the 10 years I've been going there.

• Jose_in_Nongkhai (8/5): Nice Hotel in the middle of Soi Farang - Knowing Udon for many years i was surprised to see all the new Hotels, Restaurants aso as i came not to Udon for 2 5 y now. @Home completely renewed by the backside of the Building offers good spacious rooms, well equipped, clean bathroom, Flatscreen, WIFI, a very comfy bedding and a good Aircon for a reasonable price. We came back here end of april and again the first week of Mai 2019 (because we really enjoyed our stay), it's close to all we wanted such as Eating places, Central Shopping Mall, UD Town market, Bars, Coffee & other shops and Railwaystation, all within a 5 minutes walking distance. Cool drinks and some microwave food available, 24 hr receptionists speaking English and a Tuktuk at the front entrance. Oh, total silence in the room even in the Bar street, so no complaints about loud music. I can recommend this place for 99%, -1% only because there is no lift what may be difficult for some people in case you have a room on the 4 th floor. We had 2 kids and all went very smoothly. We will be back for sure....SOON

• Futuretraveller999 (6/5): Just OK - I am still staying here. One more night of 3 to go. On the plus side- Friendly staff. Good value. Good location Room safe Towels changed daily. Comfy bed Clean Small balcony with sink On the negative side - No tea/coffee making facilities in room. However, there is a small kitchenette on the ground floor with a freezer with microwave meals abd a microwave. Also a fridge with reasonable priced beer, soft drinks and water. There is also a hot water boiler for tea/ coffee. You can buy 2 cardboard cups with 2 sachets of coffee tea and creamer from reception. 25 bt. On arrival i noted that the water pressure in shower was poor. Also no hot water in shower or sink. After 2 nights of no hot water i asked tbe receltion to sort it; which they did. Better pressure in shower and hot. Still no hot water in sink. These things should be checked prior to arrival of guests, and not after a complaint.

• Helpjohn (8/5): Four Floors Of Accommodation - No Lift! - Overall this is a fine place for the budget-conscious to stay. However, look closely at the accommodation you are paying for.The on line advertising suggested, to me, that all rooms came with coffee / tea making capacity & I saw no mention that the hotel does not have a lift. I paid, via Expedia, almost as much as one pays the establishment directly for ground floor accommodation, to find myself on the 4th floor & no coffee making capacity. Reception advised that no mistake had been made in allocating the room. However, I could upgrade by paying 200 baht per night more. I thanked the very friendly staff for the offer & decided to accept my lot. Vowing audibly not to stay @ Home again. Two days later, I was offered 2nd floor accommodation, with coffee & tea, at no extra cost. This concession was very much appreciated & now enables me to recommend the hotel. Positives are :- very friendly staff (especially the lady cleaner on the 4th floor), refrigerator in every room, good air conditioning, bed comfortable, clean & towels etc not too old. Descent TV + in room safe. Location is excellent.

• Lyr4d0711 (10/5): A very good budget hotel near downtown - We just stayed here few days ago together with my family and I can highly recommend this good budget hotel. I called and booked directly with the hotel and get more more better rates than any OTA sites. The hotel is very clean with nice room set up. Very good for tourist during your short visit in Udon Thani. Only downside I could find is that the hotel parking is limited. Very friendly staffs. Overall, me and my family enjoyed every minute of our stay here, and will surely visit this place again.

• domifrenchman31 (8/5): A good budget hotel - The hotel is located in "soi farang" a soi midway between central plaza mall (near the big centara hotel) and railway station. The soi has its nightlife but if you don't like, stay away from it..and you will not be annoyed. Choose a room in the backside for no music in late night. The room is well furnished with a big LCD TV screen and many channels, a safe, a small fridge. Small bathroom and toilet. They can rent monthly a rooom : about 13500 THB. Nearby you have more expensive stay with the Pannarai hotel and some hotel in the same category than at home. No lift and no breakfast : it can be a problem..i eyewitnessed a farang with an injured leg asking for breakfast at frontdesk..answer : "no have" ..so the poor man will have to walk difficultly ten meters more across the soi road. No parking (small park not for guests) Open day and night an very accomodating staff. Overall a good and simple choice.

• Nothernman (8/5): A good budget hotel for a short stay with amazing value. - Positives – Everything you needed in the spacious high quality room. Excellent value. Negatives – Had to hang about to get into room. No lift. Details The Hotel is well located near the Central Plaza – a 80 BHT drive by shared transport from the airport. (200 BHT by Taxi) I stayed for 3 nights in June 2018. The cost for the double room with a King bed excluding breakfast was £48! Amazing value. Sadly after 2 flights when I arrived the computer failed so I waited about 45mins at 8pm at night to get into my room. I asked for and got a free beer. My 6th floor room had a King bed, a wardrobe for clothes and a good sized TV with some English channels. The décor was attractive enough in the spacious room. There was a desk, a toilet with shower, and hand basin, with toiletries. There was a small room safe. There is no tea/coffee making facilities, however there was a fridge. The free Wi-Fi was good and worked well on all of my devices. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The air con also worked well. The staff were friendly enough and the room was cleaned every day. Check out is at mid-day. They do not do breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Overall I would stay again and recommend it for a stay awarding it 9 out of 10.
• 643ericr (10/5): This hotel is a great value - @Home does not provide many frills - you won't get free breakfast, a view, a pool, fitness center, or even a lift. You also probably won't get a late checkout for free (well, I couldn't). But the rooms are clean and you get the important basics, like TV, fridge, private bathroom, a bed. The hotel looks newish, and is reasonably attractive inside and out. The staff are very nice, although their English isn't great (as you'd expect). The location is very central, being close to both the night market and the shopping mall, and I like Udon (pleasant, cheap). Good for tourists. A nice bonus is that there are some reasonably-priced coin-operated laundry machines just outside. I can recommend this hotel as a good value choice if you want to save money for other things. Some warnings: you might have to carry your luggage up several flights (or ask for a lower floor). The bed is pretty hard, as is standard for this kind of hotel in asia.
• Eric (8/5): Great value - This hotel is a great value. You won't get anything fancy (no breakfast, pool, or even a lift), but you'll get what you need (clean room, TV, solid wifi, fridge, private bathroom). The staff are very nice, even if they don't speak very good English. The location is very central, being close to both the night market and the shopping mall, and I like Udon (pleasant, cheap). A nice bonus is that there are some reasonably-priced coin-operated laundry machines just outside.

• karltaylor1303 (8/5): Wife visiting family near by. - Nice place to stay. Not far from centre plaza and shopping mall. Good location to visit the few bars in the area. Close to local bus station Clean and comfortable rooms which are not too noisy. Would stay there again . Taxi service is available to airport which is 30 minutes away if that. Freindly and helpfull staff. We had no issues staying here for a week . Credit to staff who work there . Safe place to stay. Safety deposit box in room. Only issue if you call it a problem was the limited amount of tv channels on tv in the room . But not in room much so not a problem for us. Shower and toilet are good . Bed is fine. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels. Mini fridge in room .
• Michael (10/5): - Polite and friendly staff who can readily make recommendations for laundry and massage. The location is close to mall, with evening bars to hang out in.
• Michael (8/5): Great Central Hotel - Good basic hotel and ideal for short trips however always open to give you long term stay prices. Close to everything in Udon with plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended.
• richbM6582NL (10/5): Cool place - Its clean and frendly. V comfy bright room with an interesting half balcony, which is great for those private moments when access to the outside air is a must! Overall highly recommended. V limited parking tho, it depends on your timing! Perfect location for the shopper, near Central, and night markets and bars. Would suit couole or solo traveller. Great value!
• Noat555 (10/5): Excellent room and service - @Home is in a great location which makes it a short walk to everything. Room was very clean and staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Also there is a new restaurant across the street, “The Brick House” which had very good food.
• Black1e72 (8/5): Good location and a good stay - I chose this hotel for the location then the price. Its where I wanted to be in Udon town and the price fitted my budget. I got room 308 which is away from the roadside so nice and quite. The room size was good for me and it was clean,good size wardrobe,good size bathroom,good size bed. Only down points for me was a small safe and no kettle/coffee supplied. There wasn't a lift to the third floor I will add. Apart from that everything else including the staff was good.
• Daz (8/5): Nice hotel, good location, good value - Good comfortable and clean hotel in good location. Modern room, very new aircon and TV. Hot water unit for shower which works correctly (very unusual in Thailand). Short walk to Central Plaza and bus station. Longer walk to train station. Tuk tuks are available for any trip considered too far to walk.

Love the attitude of the staff and manageress and will certainly be back

• Michael (10/5): Great city hotel close to everything - First stay here as normally stay down the road at the Pannarai which was full. 5 nights here in one of the suites was excellent at a very reasonable price. Ok it's not the Pannarai but certainly above average for the area. Highly recommended

• Kevin (8/5): Central Location - The hotel is located in a good position, close to many bars, restaurants and Central Festival Shopping Centre. The room was above average in size for the price and was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again
• Bruce (10/5): Convenient - Without a doubt the best value for money hotel in Udon Thani. Cheap restaurants right outside. Close to everything. The only downside is there's no lift. Book a room on the ground or 1st floor.
• Paul (10/5): Great Location - I stayed in the Family Suite for five nights. The Good: 1. Wi-Fi was excellent 2. Good air-con 3. Very good shower with good water pressure. 4. Room was only one year old and therefore modern and clean. Fit and finish were very good. 5. Staff were very friendly and nice 6. Room was very private with separate entrance. The Not So Good: 1. Too many steps to climb to access the room 2. TV reception was poor. I think the TV in the living room was defective because it could only show analog channels even though a scan of channels showed that 75-80 digital channels should have also been available. TV reception in bedroom was good with digital channels available through the cable system and they also had a True Vision box connected to the TV. The True Vision box worked but they only had the Basic package. A room of this price category should have at least the Gold package and probably the Platinum package. The Basic package's channels were no better than the channels available on the cable feed. 3. Both TVs were mounted on the wall and looked nice, but they were 32in models and were too small for both of the rooms. Both TVs should be replaced with 50in models 4. Kitchen was open air. The air-con unit for the living room was also out in the kitchen area and the room was dreadfully hot at all times 5. You could hear the taxi drivers talking loudly a lot. They sat out in front of the hotel at all hours. 6. Bedroom faced the street and was noisy at night
• Graham (10/5): Udon - Centre of town everything on doorstep. Modern 1 bed condo in hotel. Watch out for the stairs to this room
• Peter (10/5): A Little Gem - The only problem I would care to mention is that the towels could stand to be newer. The room was clean. The shower area was nicer than many hotels in Thailand. The balcony was definitely a big plus for me. The furniture is looking a little weary, but for me it wasn't a problem. The front desk staff were very nice. A little gem really.
• robert (10/5): Very nice hotel in a great location, great value - I love this place. It is clean, friendly and in a great location in a street full of restos, cafes, massage shops and bars. It's just 5 minutes walk to Central Plaza Mall, where I often went for a meal at Fuji on the 4th floor. I had a room on the ground floor, so I could easily pop out to the lobby to pour myself a coffee. My room was quite large, as was the flat screen TV, and there was a slider out to a little kitchenette on a partially enclosed balcony. Lighting was good with switches by the bed. Room clean and fresh towels daily, bottled water provided daily in the fridge, all for a great price of $20.
• robert (10/5): Great Budget choice - I love this place, convenient to everything, lots of choices for bars, cafe's and restos. The room is great, comfy bed, good lighting and convenient switches, desk, kitchenette with big slider to outside, insect screens on door and window, and all for only $20
