• Abdel (10/5): Perfect - Everything was perfect. The pool was amazing and the communication with the host, Franzi, was excellent. She arranged everything very well for us. Upon arrival, we received a tour of the villa, and she even made a scooter available for me to use. Unfortunately, I lost my phone on the island while riding the scooter. I messaged Franzi, and she immediately posted about it on Facebook. Miraculously, thanks to her help, my phone was found and returned to me. I would definitely recommend this villa! Nothing

• Senad (7/5): Hätte mehr potenzial - Die aussieht ist Mega. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag geputzt. Es gibt kein warmes Wasser zum duschen, duschen machte kein Spaß. Das Taxi was die Unterkunft stellt ist Mega teuer dafür das es nicht mal 5 min Fahrweg ist vom Hafen. Die vom Roller Verleih wo uns von der Unterkunft empfohlen wurde haben uns Haufen geld gekostet und wurden verarscht… wir hatten 2 Roller erstmal haben wir beide Roller fast leer bekommen und dann wurde uns Kaution abgezogen weil wir sie wieder leer abgegeben haben. Zweitens hatten wir bei einem Roller nach der ersten Nacht plötzlich ein Platten und mussten uns selbst darum kümmern und zu na Werkstatt und den Reifen noch selber zahlen. Und wir fanden die Franzi unsympathisch

Thank you also for the overall service and for the recommendation for the scooter rental (PaanTa Motorbike Rental – smooth and hassle-free return). • Pavel (10/5): - An exceptional place to stay. Located in a peaceful, upscale part of the island, far from the crowds of Sairee Beach. The villa exceeds expectations and looks even more impressive than in the photos. The view is truly breathtaking — an infinity pool framed by palm trees, mountains, and uninterrupted ocean views, all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended, and I would absolutely return. Franzi is a gracious and attentive hostess whose warm energy makes you feel immediately at home. Without a doubt, one of the finest places to stay on Koh Tao.

• Ruben (10/5): Prachtig villatje met zwembad en keuken - Fantastisch ontvangst door Franzi. Taxi vanaf de pier en een brommer wordt geregeld voor jou na een berichtje. Gezellige villa met zwembadje met prachtig uitzicht en een uitgeruste keuken, wat ik een groot voordeel vind! Zo kan je lekker zelf koken. Prijs is zeer goed ten opzichte van andere villa's en hotels. Zeker een aanrader! Het enige wat een beetje jammer is dat je kort tegen een straat ligt wat maakt dat je soms wat brommertjes hoord. Maar al bij al valt dat heeeel goed mee. Dat is dan ook het enige minpuntje

Die Villa war sehr sauber und qualitativ hochwertig eingerichtet Der etwas steilere „Anstieg“ zur Villa wird mit Privatsphäre und einem wundervollen Ausblick belohnt 😊
• Florian (10/5): Traumhaft! - Franzi war zum Check in Persönlich da & hat uns in der unterkunft alles gezeigt, Trinkwasserspender war sogar vorhanden, aussicht war fantastisch! Gab uns ein paar super tipps, auch eine bootstour mit King kong war super :) Auf jedenfall weiterzuempfehlen :)
• Mayte (10/5): - Our stay at Karo Villas was simply perfect! Franzi was absolutely wonderful – incredibly friendly, helpful, and flexible with everything. She really made us feel at home. The villa is in a fantastic location: quiet and peaceful, yet perfectly situated to reach both the pier and Sairee area, as well as explore the island’s beaches. The place was spotless, with daily cleaning, and the atmosphere made our days in Koh Tao truly a 10/10 experience. We couldn’t have asked for more – highly recommended! The only downside was not being able to stay longer!
• Camilla (10/5): Amazing place and super relaxing spot to stay in. - Beautiful view and a lovely place. Everything you could need in the villa. Franzi was also super helpful. Nothing bad at all. Just be aware that the hill up to the villa is very steep if you’re not renting a moped!
• Michał (10/5): Nocleg dający dużo prywatności mimo swej lokalizacji przy drodze. - Idealny dostęp do światła słonecznego i prywatny basen sprawiają, że nie chce się wręcz wyjeżdżać z tego miejsca. Lokalizacja willi to zaledwie 4 minuty do 7/11, restauracji i życia wyspy. Franzi i jej ekipa zadbają o to, żebyście spędzili świetnie swoje wakacje na Koh Tao.

• Ana Maria (9/5): Villa muy completa con buenas vistas. - La amabilidad de la casera, atenta en todo momento, el apartamento muy limpio y recogían y limpiaban todos los días, había agua potable y todo lo que hace falta para una buena estancia. Las vistas muy buenas y una zona tranquila aunque cercana en moto. Al estar en una zona elevada de la isla necesitas moto, en ocasiones se puede ir la luz, aunque eso no depende de ellos pero puede ser un fastidio. El aire acondicionado no puedes dejarlo puesto cuando te marchas y con el calor y humedad que hace las puertas De la Villa no aíslan del todo bien y se calienta fácilmente.

• Marie (10/5): Sublime villa surplombant l’île - La villa est exceptionnelle, la vue est sublime malgré la route qui passe juste en dessous. La villa est très bien équipée, très confortable et propre. Elle est bien placée à l’intersection menant aux divers endroits de l’île mais attention ça monte ! Merci à la propriétaire qui a été très arrangeante avec nous! S’il faut trouver quelque chose, il manque un rangement pour les affaires personnelles.

• Luchia (10/5): Exceptional - We loved this place!! Great host and beautiful villa. The private pool was also lovely too cool down in! Bonus - water tap in kitchen with drinking water! Easy to get food deliveries to the property and host left out menus etc + a phone to call them in. Would advise you need a bike as its pretty steep but that's how you get the wonderful views! Kitchen area good size with all amenities. Lovely hot shower too! We would 100% stay again. Villa is next to the road so cars and motorbikes during the day but given how popular Koh Tao is now this is to be expected! Not an issue at night as could not hear.

The communication with the host was very easy through whatsapp. The private balcony with our own pool and the amazing view was just amazing. Travelling around the island on scooter is very easy. Would love to come back.

The shower was hot and the air conditioning was brilliant. They provide yoga mats and snorkels for you to use during your stay. The bed was very big and comfortable as well. The owners also provide a logged in netflix account which was so good. Adding on to this they have a safe that you can use they provide you with a key Honestly couldn’t fault it all i will say is that it’s in a tricky location however this didn’t bother us. We managed to get down the hill to have some food but had to get a taxi back which wasn’t an issue

Lots of nice little touches, such as take away menus, a netflix account on the TV and a filtered drinking water tap - which saved us buying water. The villa is up a big hill, we didn’t rent a motorbike and used taxis and walked up the hill a few times which was a good work out!

The view is beautiful and it is not far from the main ‘attractions’ on the island (it is quite small anyway so with a scooter you will be anywhere in no time). Franzi is super sweet and made sure we had a great stay. Definitely would recommend!

Read all the other reviews and it was just what we wanted. Thank you to our host Franzi and the brilliant cleaning team. I think the only way to enhance this Villa would be to change the colour of the bedding and white towels to another colour that doesn’t show the stains (suncream stains) Apart from this there is nothing that could make this place any better !

Would definitely stay again In front of the villa is a road where you look out from the pool- it's not a main, busy road but can be quite noisy when trucks are struggling to get up the hill but apart from that everything else perfect

• Esmé (10/5): Exceptional - We could not have asked for anything better for our stay in Ko Tao and we would definitely come back. The villa and all amenities were perfect and we loved the terrace with the little pool. The villa and pool are cleaned every day. The communication with Franzi was outstanding - questions were answered almost immediately and we received valuable tips from the start and a taxi and scooter rental was organized upon arrival. The area is quiet and you have a lovely view on the ocean.
• Jackeline (7/5): Great but far from spectacular - Pros: location is perfect, amazing host, excellent communication with Franzi via Whatsapp prior to our arrival and during our stay. We were able to get restful sleep with no noise from the street and excellent blackout curtains. The AC & ceiling fan are quiet and work wonderfully; spacious studio with well equipped kitchenette; comfy couch to lounge around; housekeeper provided clean bath & beach towels daily; unlimited drinking water from filtered faucet in the kitchen; mini fridge; safe with key; iron & board; snorkeling gear for 2; hair dryer, and again host is very responsive and professional. We only had cold water during our 4-night stay in villa number 3 on April 2024. On day 2 we informed Franzi the host and while she sent her staff to fix the issue, the problem was not resolved and no compensation was provided for this major inconvenience. Also, the water pressure in the shower and in both bathroom sinks were very weak.The mattress was as hard as a rock and super uncomfortable. The drying rack & coffee press are made of stainless steel and were super rusty, unusable. The terrace provides a marginal view of the ocean, obstructed by power lines. This place has potential but sadly I can not recommend it to anyone and would not stay here again.

• Chloe (10/5): Beautiful chilled stay! - An incredible stay! Franzi was great on communication before our stay and we checked in early at 10am, the property has Mr Bear as the taxi service who collected us from across the island and also dropped us at the pier at the end of our stay. Franzi gave us a tour of the property, super clean and homely with all the facilities we needed, fridge, safe, tea and coffee facilities plus snorkel gear and yoga mats! They also supply you with a mobile phone for the villa with all the numbers you might need preloaded in case you need anything. And menus for local restaurants that provide a delivery service directly to the villa! The view is beautiful and the pool the perfect size and temperature. We spent most of our time on the outdoor terrace. We had a cute gecko outside keeping us safe from any bugs and bringing us luck. Daily cleans from a lovely housekeeping team. And a filtered water tap really helped us out during the hot days! Secret bar and High the Moon are a short walk in either direction for food and drinks out. This property is super high up for the amazing view, we didn’t get a scooter, but we were fine walking around, it’s a good workout! But bring a torch with you if you’re heading out at night. It’s a fair walk from any shops, so we’d recommend buying any food or drinks in before you head up to the villa. And you can be up there in the peace and quiet with all your snacks.

• Pedro (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoyed our stay in Karo Villas! We stayed in here during our time in Koh Tao. The property is private, clean, spacious, you get a private pool, and the view is unbeatable. The kitchen is well equipped and with enough amenities to cook meals if needed. The property also provides you with different restaurant take-out menus and a phone with a Thai SIM card in case you wish to order food. The locations is good provided you rent a scooter (but is difficult to be in Koh Tao without one anyway). It is located in a calm isolated area, but still close enough to multiple places to eat. Just be aware that the location is in the middle of a quite steep road. This road passes in front of the houses, but it is not very busy and too be honest it didn’t disturb at all. Shout out to our host Franzi for the help and the recommendations. Would definitely stay again if back in Koh Tao! The only minus is that the AC was facing the bed and therefore hard to keep on during the night.
• Kelly (9/5): Superb - The property is a clean, modern, Thai villa that is just right for two people. The patio/deck area with a plunge pool is the perfect addition and offers respite from the heat. The views from the patio are sensational. Franzi was extremely responsive and helpful, and the property included a lot of extra information and equipment, e.g. snorkel masks, yoga mats, and a mobile with local SIM. The description of the property should emphasise that hiring a motorbike is pretty much essential to being able to stay at the property given its location near the top of a steep hill.

Everything was super clean, you had the possibility to cook youself as well. It’s the perfect place when you wanna stay for some days, you have everything in our around the house so you don’t need to leave the place. • Brian (10/5): Views were stunning. - Excellent views from villas but very isolated up the mountain/ cliff. Lovely spacious rooms but some of the utilities need attention. ( kitchen and bathroom taps hanging loose. Great hosts Jimmy and Leanne. If you have the option go for No 3. They are all beautiful views but that is the best.
