Atchariya (8/5): Hidden place nearby the town with you can connect to the nature. - Very close to the nature, feeling relaxing during we stayed. The Thai breakfast is very healthy and delicious. Very old hut with well decorated unfortunately not well renovated.

fabienne (4/5): Un hébergement gîte plutôt qu un hôtel - La chambre conforme aux photos Pas de menage durant le séjour, pas de changement de serviettes malgré notre demande, pas de personnel d accueil en permanence (ce n' est pas un hôtel...) et seule la cuisinière qui nous préparait les petits déjeuners était adorable et parlait un peu anglais. Si vous vous attendez a une prestation hôtelière, passez votre chemin. C est plus un gîte sans possibilité de se faire a manger sur place. Les commentaires sur booking proviennent de locaux qui passent. Et le site est loin de tout (même des restaurants). Heureusement que nous avions loué des scooters...

Johanna (9/5): Amazing!!!!! Perfect for couples for honeymoon <3 - It just so perfect & fully equipped! Aircond is cool, water is strong, the jacuzzi is functioning well too. There’s even 2 tv in both toom (bedroom and jacuzzi room) Just that there is some gecko’s poop around. But nothing that disturps our peace.

Marius Cristian (9/5): Excellent place for relax. - Great location. Very much space. Property have it's own cat which make it look even more peaceful. Water in the pool don't look too fresh, but the entire space having a pool make it look so relaxing, we don't mind not swimming.

G-Jun (9/5): Peace and Quiet, a great get away - The design of the resort is nice. It feels like a leisure holiday with nature scene and not crowded or loud. Perfect for couples trips. The air con is right above the bed and blowing straight at our face. They made a make shift case so regardless where the angle of the aircon fan point it still reflect straight into our face.

Not very clean, with toilet and shower outside but this was not in description. Ridiculously overpriced with not getting much value for money. Shower was cold and aircon not working properly. Very uncomfortable stay and we left very early in morning due to this.

Hiresh (10/5): Exceptional - My wife and I had a great experience at Thap Pala Cottage from the friendly staff to the comfy accommodation. It is located in a very peaceful location away from the noisy traffic and city life. We got lost trying to find the right turn for the place. I suggest putting a clear sign on the main road to show which turn to take. Unless there was and I didn't see it.

Potential certainly there. - Loved the location as its not too far from the city yet felt rural and with lots of nature. love spending time on the deck and pool just watching birds at the lake and forest. Good place if one like being left alone by resort staff. 2 pillows for a queen sized bed!? Aircon placed right above the bed made it very coooold! room advertised as being 120sq m large but the actual bedroom was way smaller as the bathroom was easily the same size as the room. they probably included the outside deck and in-room pool too in the 120sq m. The floor boards on the deck too far apart causing one of us to fall as one of the deck chair leg went through. Not much communication with staff as their English nearly non existent. Would have loved to know more about the area and the forest/lake. Breakfast wasn't outstanding.
Komin (7/5): A little disappointed, there is a good resort, nice room, good facilties and great environment but the staff didn’t make - There has such a great facilities, a really nice place to escape noisy city with nice view of nature. The staff since checking in was a little confuse, she didn’t talk much, didn’t have any orientation or any welcoming word. Also a room staff, they drove us to the room by a little car but they didn’t talk to us when it arrived, just looked at us like “go” and say nothing. There was a free kayaking for hotel guest but they were more pay attention to a walk in tourists that came to kayak at the resort and they miss booking the time for us as well.
Wynderlust (10/5): A magical place nestled in nature - Love the design and layout of the villa (down to the cool wooden fish keychain). The lake nearby, with its flora and fauna (buffaloes lazing around the shore with egrets and other birds), added to the magical feel of the place, as we kayaked. The little ones had a great time in the pool, as well as playing with the cool resident cat, which stayed around the villa most of the time. The dinner we ordered and the breakfast that came with the stay were all delicious. The owner and all the staff only spoke a little English, but were very helpful and friendly. The water pressure and temperature consistency were very good, unlike some other regions in Thailand we encountered previously. GPS showed us a wrong route, which was blocked at some point, even though we were very near. A staff was sent on a motorbike to lead our car there. As with outdoor wooden flooring, it might be safer with footwear, as was suggested by the owner as we checked in. I was concerned after reading some reviews on the state of the villas, especially the outdoor shower area. But I only saw a few resident lizards on the wall and fallen leaves (which are common in SE Asia, even indoors). The place is naturally-weathered, but I will consider it clean and well-kept.

Rosmawati (2/5): Not worth it - I like the remoteness and exclusivity of the area, but everything else is below par. The price charged and the photos looks like this is a luxury hideout but it is not. We booked for 2 nights but the stay was so uncomfortable, we checked out after the first night. The cottages are build traditionally, so expect presence of mosquitos, ants and lizards (gecko). The daybed mentioned is not for sleeping at all, as the mattress pad is hard. On the proper bed, you have to use the mosquito net provided to keep the mosquitos away, but then the A/C won't get to you so it can be hot. The pillows are hard and the duvets are thin/slightly old. The WC is outdoorish, the showers are one level below, and the floors are always covered with dried leaves, some ants, lizard droppings, etc. Overall, I admire the efforts to build this place, but the price point are too high for the real quality of the place. If you want comfort, look somewhere else.
Jamie (10/5): Fantastic few days at Thap Pala! - Really serene location, very quiet and peaceful. Ed really went above and beyond to help us with trips to the local shops and Songkhla Old Town. He also helped us booking taxis to and from Hat Yai. All the staff there were great!

Panyaluk (8/5): Good choice for natue lover. - Very serene and in the middle of nature. The local dish as breakfast is yummy. Staff are excellent. Kayak is provided for free. In-house cats are super cute. The shower is not friendly for small kid and the water temperature is not stable.
Vincent (6/5): Not what we expected - Nice view from the cottage It should be a place to relax, but cottage next to use was hosting a noisy family with small kids. The bathroom is outside and infested by red ants, meaning your feet are bitten when brushing your teeth. Breakfast is very very simple and the service is not at the expected level (room not cleaned for our second day). We booked 2 nights, but left after one night.
Rudi (6/5): - Lage der Unterkunft ist einzigartig schön, abgelegen und ruhig inmitten der Natur. Das Frühstück wurde auf das Zimmer serviert, das Geschirr leider oft erst Nachmittags abgeräumt. Das Personal war sehr nett, jedoch die Verständigung war schlecht da kein Englisch gesprochen wurde. Der Roomservice war in den ersten zwei Wochen 4 mal present, auch der Abfall wurde nicht entsorgt, trotz Aufforderung bei dem Besitzer das war sehr schade, da er sich immer dafür entschuldigt hat . Erst nach mehrmaligen Diskussionen wurde der Roomservice regelmäßiger, was von Anfang an zu erwarten war.
Eintanz (10/5): - The owner Yusof went the extra length to assist us. Sending us to places we needed to go and finally to the airport with a minimal fee. Best hospitality and service. Room was beautifully overlooking the lake. The traditional khaw yam bfast was super delicious. Hope to revisit in future.

Verified traveler (10/5): A very comfortable and peaceful stay - With a very quiet location on a lake and a nicely designed and comfortable cottage, I really enjoyed my stay. Even the bed was really comfy and that was greatly appreciated. The location is beautiful, on a lake and the cottage had a beautiful view of that. Yes, the location is very quiet and remote, but that means there are no restaurants or shops nearby. You will have to have your own transport. The small restaurant cooks to order and their food is delicious. No menu, just tell them what you would like in advance. Very little English is spoken, so that could be a problem if you do not speak at least basic Thai.
