Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): Fuyez - Pas de réception. Réservation perdu. Changement de logement. Payer en liquide. Bruyant. Inconfortable. Clim payante et qui ne marche pas. Mal isolé. Wifi bof. Pas de parking. Moyen propre. 1h30 pour récupérer un logement.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - You get two really large rooms with a king-size bed and full kitchen (!) and bathroom in a great location for an excellent price. It's a little noisy due to single paned glass so use earplugs if that bothers you, but at the price I booked in for, this is totally fine.
- Hels (6/5): Only for heavy sleepers - The location of this apartment is unbeatable. So much so, my Cypriot family didn't believe hotels on Ledras existed.
However, it's on Old Nicosia's main shopping and entertainment district, do while you have the best restaurants, bars and coffee shops on your doorstep, it means it's loud and roudy. It's fine for me, but you've been warned.
Also, cleanliness is passable. It could do with a deep clean. And although bedding and towels looked clean, they didn't smell it.
It's also very close to the border of occupied Nicosia. I recommend visiting, however, northern Cyprus is illegally occupied. Supporting their economy is the same as holidaying in Israeli settlements in Palestine. Free occupied Cyprus.
- Shingo (2/5): terrible - I stayed for 2 nights. It was sooooo terrible because there were so many ants and insects I've never seen on the bed and everywhere in the room. Washing machine didn't work at all. Shower is very weak and cold. Location and WIFI were fine.
部屋中に虫がいっぱい。シャワー弱い上に冷たいし、洗濯機は壊れてる。ロケーションとwifiの強さ以外はいいところなし。
- Stephan (2/5): - All the hallmarks of a scam.
Disclosure: I ended up not staying in "Ledras Town Center".
I made the reservation through Expedia for a one night stay the same night; after about 15mns I got a call from the property saying that the apartment I had booked was not available anymore but that they had other rooms available in another building. When I asked where they were I was told that they were "nearby". Then they told me that I would have to pay cash because they don't accept cards. At that point I said that I was not interested.
If that was where it stopped I wouldn't be writing this review.
Within 10mns I had an email from Expedia saying that I had cancelled the booking; not that the property had cancelled, but that I was the one who cancelled.
I called Expedia within the following 30mns and learned that on top of the property inaccurately reporting to Expedia that I had cancelled, I also had been charged with the cancellation fee (which since it was for the same day, was the full amount).
It took me a full hour on the phone with Expedia to sort it out, get my money back and book another property.
My advice is: Stay Away.
It has all the hallmarks of a scam.
- Steve (8/5): This Isn't The Ritz, but..... - The room was just a touch tired, but very functional for our visit. Close to everything we wanted to visit, and the welcome was friendly. The room has a seperate bedroom, washing and cooking facilites with a fridge, so plenty to assist the self-catering market. Also, there was free Wi-Fi. We liked it for the low price and high convenience.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very very central, but I wouldn't return.. - Location and contact with the owner were both excellent, but, even though the kitchen and toilet seem renovated, the place was not in a good condition (windows old and rotten, floor tiles broken, semi-functioning plugs,etc.). Still, the biggest downside was the lack of cleanliness. It was obvious that the place had not been cleaned for quite a while (and that unfortunately included the toilet). At least the bedlinen was clean, so we ended up staying in bed whenever we were in the flat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location and owner - The owner went out of his way to make the experience nice. The place is a good deal for the price, you are right onbthe main st and a stone throw from the border crossing. But ive neber stayed anywhere where the walls are so thin that untill 3am I could hear everyone on the street like they were in the appartment.
- Kathleen (10/5): Great location, friendly host! - Nino was a great host, and greeted us promptly on arrival. The apartment was everything we needed, located perfectly close to the Green Line Crossing and plenty of shopping! I highly recommend this self-serve accommodation for any trip to Nicosia.
We will certainly be booking again on our next trip.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - El peor de mi vida. Daba asco ducharse. Muy sucio muy viejo.
- Aiping (10/5): Convenient & good customer service - I was late arriving, the staff is really helpful to help me out to found parking place & the apartment location
- Verified traveler (6/5): 100m from ledras crossing - Plenty of restaurants below. Bathroom bit of a tight squeeze. Comfy bed
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent and cheap - Wonderful place with the exception of noize. It is located downtown with everything in walking distance and a very short walk!
- Yi (8/5): Best of 5 hotels or apartments I use in Nicosia - On top of Ledra St about 200m from the green line crossing. No lift so 3 floors up was a bit of a pain but the view from the roof was spectacular, especially the Nth Cyp flag in the hills @ nite. No actual reception & waited round for keys but the apartment was very clean & spacious. The €5 p/n airconditioning is a rip off. Open the windows & breeze does the job. Washing machine was handy.
- Guest (4/5): Better places to stay - Apartment was spacious but lacking furniture. Washing machine but no clothes horse. Cooker but no points or pans. No shower curtain meant water over the bathroom floor. Bathroom was very small and cramped.
- neil (6/5): Right in the old town. - The apartment is situated in the old town about 100m from the Ledra crossing. It can get noisy at night but never bothered me as I was out late. Can be noisy in morning as bin wagons and street cleaners go about their jobs. Apartment had everything and served its purpose.
- hank (4/5): Its not a hotel.. its a furnished appartment !! - A guy called me to make sure of time of arrival, as he told me, "they have no Reception." He gave me his no. And asked me to call him from a nearby resturant...
When i arrived i called him from there he arrived in 15 min... he was a very nice person.. gave me a choice of which floor i wanted.. tjen we went to a one bed room appartment.. ot was nice and neat. 6/10. But Defenately not a hotel. He wanted me to pay cash!!!!.. since it was 1 night stay.. i didnt mind.. it was not very expensive.... the bed was not very confortable.. and the shower was broken... and TV channels were vety limited... he asked me to leave at 1 pm... and i arrived just before midnight... i left at 8am... !!!
I dont recommend it if u r expecting a hotel room.....
