- Susan (10/5): We could not have been more comfortable, with ever one of our needs met, and all provisions were generously supplied. - We liked the excellent kitchen facilities, layout , lighting, open shelving clean surfaces, with excellent implements and cooking equipment.
We liked the perfectly comfortable huge bed, with excellent light and climate control and space, with no clutter.
The lounge room was well furnished , very comfortable and welcoming beautifully lit, and uncluttered.
We liked having two tiolets, and a beautiful, modern bathroom., which was also well lit and well warmed. The garden is lovely but needs work and water. I would love to spend a week there doing the gardening, with unlimited water, removing the old brick edges that are now trip hazards, and reshaping some of the lovely old fruit trees. But is was very pleasant sitting outside, under the (?Mataro) grape vine.
I also broke a wine glass in the dishwasher, because of the difficult racks, so I was a bit dark on the standard of DW, but really it was fine.
- Jingwen (8/5): Very good -
- Vaidya (9/5): Marvellous - Location and comfortable amenities
- Leanne (9/5): Immaculately clean. Fantastic location. Very comfortable. - Immaculately clean. Fantastic location. Very comfortable beds.
- K (10/5): Relaxed and convenient - We loved our stay at Mataro cottage. Communication was excellent and we were given the check-in details a couple hours early to let us know the property was ready. There was a lovely welcome gift in the fridge which was a small cheese and dried fruit plate. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped and the pantry was extremely generously stocked with tea, coffee, glad wrap, alfoil, salt, pepper, oil- pretty much all of the things that make life a bit easier when you are travelling and don’t want to go out and buy for a short stay.
The location was perfect! We walked to breakfast every morning in only a couple minutes yet we were in a really quiet street - one back from the main road of Tanunda. Parking was easy at the back of the house.
We couldn’t fault our stay.
- Phillipa (9/5): A welcoming cottage with more than the average provisions. - A well serviced cottage with very comfy beds and good quality linen.
Well located in the heart of Tanunda. No complaints.
- Lisa (9/5): A real pleasure in all regards. This property is a very well presented and maintained accommodation for small group up t - The location was an excellent position for enjoying all the Barossa Wine Region has to offer. The property provided a quiet sanctuary to relax. The flower garden made an opportunity to enjoy our very own fresh arrangement centre piece for our dinning. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. We loved the staples that were provided. The linen and towels were wonderfully hotel quality. The bathroom was pretty fabulous and appreciated the hot water rain shower. Lovely fireplace in the lounge that offer plenty of ambience and warmth. The only area we felt that wasn’t up to this well thought through kitchen was the frying pans and wok, whilst they were not light weight were in need of replacing due to wear of the coatings.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - The property was amazing. The host added a few special touches which made for a lovely experience. We arrived early and were able to leave the car at the property, which was very much appreciated. Jerry was in contact prior to our arrival and helped as much as he could. Cannot fault our experience at all.

All the little things were thought of, right down a little platter in the fridge on arrival, to the fireplace being stacked ready to light. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about our stay here. Absolutely recommend, and will definitely be back.
- Robert (10/5): Jerry (owner) made sure everything was easy and without hassle. A great host for a great property. - Mataro provided all the comforts of home in the intimacy of a small cottage. Conveniently located only a stones throw from Tanunda centre which allows the indulgence of great food and wine without having to drive. Great location when visiting the various wine cellars in the area. Definitely would return.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Location cleanliness facilities The bath is a strange square short space. Not for soaking with a book.
- Anne (7/5): Great location, nice and quiet yet close to everything. Overall we enjoyed our stay. - The property is situated in a quiet street. The location is very good and is within walking distance to the main street, hotel, shops and cafes. Kitchen facilities are excellent with plenty of cooking utensils, baking dishes etc. It was quite cold during our stay and the only form of heating were oil heaters which make a noise during the night. There were also no electric blankets.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional cottage in a great location. - Excellent location, beautiful cottage, clean with everything to make your stay enjoyable. The cheese platter was a lovely surprise and appreciated. I don't usually put reviews up, but this was exceptional. Nothing, it all exceeded my expectation.
- Taylah (10/5): Loved it and would come back again and recommend to others - Great spot, great facilities. Very cosy. Great walking distance to Main Street. Really quiet, lots of spots to sit outside and relax. Everything was great!! There was lots of dust in the air vents in bathroom and ceiling vents but that is minor, and garden could do with some TLC

- Suzf (9/5): Great gateway to beautiful Tanunda. - Thoughtful additions to kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Location. Bed great. Shower brilliant. Google lady worked well. - Diana (8/5): Very good -
- Ross (9/5): Superb - Presentation was very good. Lots of towels, soaps, plenty of quality crockery and cutlery, hand wash etc. Attention to detail was very apparent. My only suggestion would be a night sensor at the back door to assist with entry when returning at night.

Loved it! - Mataro Cottage was truly our home away from home which says a lot since we are from the U.S. so far away. Everything was perfect, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and the bed was very comfortable for a restful sleep.
