- Darcey (10/5): We loved the overall experience, location and accommodations. - Our dinner at the Borrow's House was exceptional along with our breakfast at the Dorset Inn. The servers and bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. It was a nice surprise to have dog treats, a bed and toys for our dog. The room was a bit smaller than we had hoped for. The switch on the light next to the bed was broken and we were unable to use it. It would have been nice to have a wine opener in the kitchen area.

- Tonyhitch (8/5): Centrally located in Dorset, Barrows House is a wonderful historic inn for your visit to the area. - The very generous breakfast offered by Barrows House is served at one of two nearby locations, both owned by Barrows' parent corporation: The Inns of Dorset. One was a half block away - the Dorset Bakery and was truly wonderful. More that we could eat on our first breakfast day so on the second we ordered a la carte and didn't waste a delicious bite.
The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. Among the best we have had on our extensive travels. The room was cool on our arrival and we could not make the radiators work but the staff came to the rescue and turned up the building's thermostat and then showed us how to adjust the radiators. That was fine for the first night but then they didn't respond either of the next two nights, but we just enjoyed our "sturdy New England" heritage and left the room cool at night.
We had a lovely meal at Barrows House night one and loved our helpful waiter Anthony. We ate at another Inns of Dorset-owned restaurant on our second night: Pearl's Place...a fun place for Southern barbeque. Like our breakfasts, the portions at Pearl's are huge!
- John (10/5): Great place to stay with dining on site - Facilities were top notch Only school brass keys for the room.

- Yaffa (8/5): Wonderful location and great area! - Great location, very friendly team, scenic and historic area! Since the property is a historic inn, the sound proofing of the rooms and building could be improved upon if possible - other guests, footsteps and door openings/closings were quite audible.
- Distefano (10/5): Wonderful - Breakfast was excellent Pillows were way too firm
- Patricia (8/5): Very good - Stunning location, lovely staff. Fabulous breakfast. The room was small and overheated.
- Keith (7/5): Good - Breakfast room and fare are sunny. Casa above garage perfect for adult son and us on last day.

- Dennis (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): A beautiful Inn in a beautiful village. - The home made corned beef hash was outstanding. Service was impeccable. Had dinner at both the Barrows and the Dorset Inn. In each case, there was too much (sweet)sauce on the entrees.
- Ellie (8/5): nice getaway - steep stairs, uneven floors, small
- Nancy (9/5): We very much enjoyed our stay at The Barrows House. - The location was perfect for us because we were visiting family in Rupert. What made our stay perfect was the concierge ( a young red haired woman) was so gracious when I asked if we could bring grandkids by to use the pool. No hesitation, a quick “yes.” It truly elevated our stay to excellent.
Breakfast at the Dorset Inn was another plus; it was outstanding. Entry way smelled a little smoky, probably the fireplace.

- Mary (10/5): Highly recommend Barrows House for a uniquely welcoming, comfortable and delicious experience. - Our family returned for a second visit this season as our first experience was so lovely and memorable. Our second visit was just as wonderful as the first. Barrows House offers the unique balance of modern comforts with the charm of personal touches while being hosted in a beautifully inviting manner. We felt welcomed as if by “friends or family” during our stay and look forward to visiting again. Bed is very comfortable, furnishings are aligned with the history of home, while feeling clean and fresh. Meals were memorably delicious and well presented with a perfectly curated menu for both our children and for my husband and I. A unique experience at Barrows House is highly recommended.
- Liz (10/5): Gorgeous grounds, luxurious stay, kind staff! - What a gorgeous property! Our bed was super comfortable, the water was hot, the staff was so kind and attentive. I have an allergy to down/feathers and they had backup linens and pillows already in the room - so thoughtful! The grounds are gorgeous and the breakfast was delicious. We didn't get to eat at the on-site restaurant, but everyone in town spoke very highly of the food there! n/a
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Maintain old building charm with nice modern upgrades.

- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Carmen (10/5): Great stay at a historic house - Excellent stay. Very quaint. Great breakfast and great restaurant too. Staff was very friendly. I would come back. It’s a beautiful old house (the barrows) so you can expect low ceilings and heat with a radiator that was difficult to operate and a bit noisy at times. A bit expensive
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy and clean.
- Carl (10/5): the hotel was awesome and the staff were really fantastic.. - great location and very historic nothing

- Carol (10/5): Exceptional - The inclusion of breakfasts was a definite plus. Excellent food selections. Walking or driving to the Dorset Inn was not a hassle. It was as expected. The only other time I stayed there was 1983 when I hosted my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Living in Texas, the fall foliage didn’t disappoint.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - awesome place to stay. perfect getaway weekend. dined at the restaurant and the staff wasn’t great. stay was still great!
- Fidelma (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful surroundings , friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Bar closed too early. Linens and waste not collected from front door. We stayed at the Wrens Nest.
- Munafo (8/5): Very good -
- Cathie (8/5): Very nice. Staff go out of their way - Breakfast was excellent. Nice walk to neighboring inn, fantastic breakfast. Air conditioning didn’t work very well. I had trouble sleeping
