Please note there is no hot spring bath on site. Please note that child rates are applicable to children 11 years and under, and adult rates are applicable to children 12 years and older. Please contact the property for more details. Please inform the property which method of transportation guests plan on taking to arrive at the property. As the area is located 3937 feet above sea level, it reaches -20 degrees Celsius in winter. Guest rooms are equipped with kerosene heaters, as air-conditioning does not work. Guests will find kerosene heater instructions in English in each guest room. Please note breakfast-inclusive rates are only offered in the weekend and during the high season. Please contact the property directly for more details. Guests traveling to the property via car are strongly advised to have their vehicle equipped with snow tires and/or snow chains, as heavy snowfall is expected in the winter. Arthur (9/5): Eenvoudig maar wel een aanrader - Personeel is echt super vriendelijk en hulpvaardig, eerder inchecken mogelijk, voor de deur parkeren ( zeer beperkt) maar zonder kosten . En een korte rondleiding door het verblijf om je wegwijs te maken, super Locatie midden in dorp super plek Gebouw is wat gedateerd en zeer eenvoudig ingericht, maar dat wordt ruimschoots gecompenseerd door de goede ligging en het vriendelijk personeel

Warner (10/5): It was enjoyable to stay in this place . - The location is very convenient: close to the bus station, literally 3-5 minutes. Close to Yubatake, public onsen, shops, cafes. Very clean, two private onsen in the hotel. Nice staff. Very good value for money.

Rea (10/5): 草津さいこー！ - 従業員の方が親切で、チェックインの時間より前に行った際に荷物を預かって頂けました！案内も分かりやすかったです！部屋は清潔で、私たちは四人部屋でしたので部屋の大部分がベッドで埋まっていましたがそれで十分でした。お風呂は貸切タイプですごく良かったです！3人、キツキツでも良ければ4人入れました！！とても良かったのでまた利用したいです！外に出る用のスリッパがあればなと思いました！それ以外は全て良かったです！

Yuko (8/5): お掃除が行き届いて、一人旅でしたが、楽しく - 目的の共同浴場が近く徒歩でも行きやすかったです。　　当館の貸切風呂も綺麗で気持ち良く利用させていただきました。部屋の照明が全体的に暗くなりベット周辺( 枕元に)灯りが有れば、ありがたいです。真っ暗になり夜中にトイレ等に行きたい時に足元に気をつけて電気💡のスイッチを探しました。自宅のスイッチは小さい灯が付いてるので場所が直ぐ分かります。
SHOJI (2/5): 良い経験になりました。 - ３Ｆということもあり草津温泉の湯畑らしき場所や蛍外の各雰囲気は楽しめました。 ①靴を脱ぎ不衛生そうなスリッパに履き替えること抵抗がありました。 ②部屋はオートロックでないので不安です。 ③シャワーヘッドが安物で部屋でシャワー浴びると肌が痛く感じます。 ④バストイレの臭いがスパイシーで微妙に好みではありません。 ⑤シャワーのお湯がなかなか出ません。 ⑥ベッドに入ると痒く、起床すると腕や背中はダニに噛まれてました。 ⑦チェックアウト時は不在のフロントに鍵を返すだけ！　チェックアウト後、旅館側から器物破損等の疑いをかけられる可能性もあるので、　記された携帯や旅館に電話しても繋がりません。 ⑧きちんとホテルスタッフに鍵をお返しするスタンスが良いと思います。

Kelly (6/5): Overall, felt like an airbnb trying to be a hotel, price is much more for the service and amenities, would not return. - Great location, close to main tourist area and train station. Fairly large room and bed. Breakfast was surprisingly tasty except tea. Staff were at first helpful, kept my luggage early when I arrived but was frantic in explaining facilities which I could have waited to do during check in time. Seems like very small staff(2) so they’re always busy and difficult to get full explanation. I had to go back to my room multiple times and ask directly about towels and was not told if I can wear yukata outside but later saw other guests with it on. Did not matter since Yukata felt starchy and unclean and smelled musty a bit. Towels were very well worn, clean but the orange towel edges were frayed and started turning grey because of heavy use. The most upsetting thing was the unfriendly feeling from the japanese looking staff member. Once they knew I did not speak fluent Japanese, their demeanour changed. Many times ignored and stared at, never a hello or good morning (in japanese or english). I came to breakfast and felt really isolated when I didn’t know what to do since I was completely ignored from walking in. While everytime a japanese guest came in they were warmly greeted and was told apologetically, sorry please wait a minute in japanese and explained what was being served. When I left breakfast, complete silence, when other japanese guests left, the usual arigatougozaimasu… Would like to mention the other non-japanese staff member was friendly and was communicating with me kindly, unfortunately most interactions were with the other staff member.

Paula (9/5): Central location & comfortable rooms - Central location next to the Yubatake. Spacious, warm rooms and friendly staff. We had a view of the mountains from our third floor room. The two private onsens were a nice feature. The onsen water was very hot, though, and needed lots of cold water added to it, as initially the onsen is far too hot to enter. A plank for stirring/mixing the water would help. No parking on site; the hotel will provide 500 yen towards a voucher for the nearby paid public parking lot. The lounge was chilly despite the wood stove; we took advantage of the small blankets that were available.

BKLV (10/5): また来ます。 - 立地が非常に便利。内湯などは利用せず、いつも選択肢が多い外湯で楽しみますので、そこは評価に入れていません。スタッフさんがとても親切です。4年連続毎年利用しています。自分は寒さに強いので、皆が寒いと感じるくらいの温度が好きなので全く問題はないのですが、朝食会場やロビーや廊下などは、寒いのが苦手な人にとってはきついかもしれません。特に朝食会場はもっと温度を上げてもよいのでは。

Shelagh (7/5): Underwhelming because of kack of soundproofing - Central location. Wals are too thin and we coild listen to people next door having a conversation very late in the night making sleep very difficult. Also the wifi is very poor.and the neds are not very confortable.

Masako (5/5): 利便性ある宿泊つきの草津観光 - 湯畑や主要な観光地に近い 1人で貸切温泉風呂に入れる貸切温泉風呂が一回ごとに20分以内であること。換気扇の関係か？身体や頭を洗う間に寒くなってしまい1回目の入浴で寒くなってしまった。2回目入浴でやっと温まることができた。寝室のエアコンか換気扇の位置の関係か？喉を痛めるか部屋を暖めるか選択する必要があった。温まる環境が欲しいので一回ごとの入浴時間があと少しあるといいなと。

MING TUAN (9/5): 很棒的住宿體驗，但如果價錢再降一點會更好 - 整體感覺很棒，而且離湯畑很近⋯ 已進入住宿大廳就聞到淡淡的檜木箱，感覺很舒服⋯ 早餐簡單，但卻蠻好吃的👍🏻 房間的門可以再加裝個內鎖會更好⋯

Fantastic location and great getting a key to the hotel so we could get back in after 10pm. Get there early for parking and notify the hotel in advance as there are limited spaces. Lack of breakfast was a pain but the free coffee from the hotel and a quick run to 7/11 solved the breakfast issue.

makoto (3/5): 失敗。 - 共有の浴室のみ事前確認事項を当日のチェックインになり確約するものでは無いとの対応、連泊にも関わらず最初の対応で宿に戻る度に嫌な思いをするカタチになりました。共有の浴室もお客様が少ないと言う理由で、２カ所有る浴室が1カ所での対応でしかも時間を予約制なのですがお客様任せで時間を守られず初日は時間に入る事も出来ませんでした入湯料は２日分支払いしていましたが

Yumei (10/5): CP值很高，非常美好的住宿經驗。 - 房間整潔舒適。工作人員非常友善。地點超優，離巴士站或溫泉街都很近。湯屋採預約式，且有合理的時間限制，不用等到天荒地老，湯屋的空間跟備品也都非常理想。因為我前一個行程是健行，旅館還能接受我將行李提前寄達，真的非常體貼。可惜房間內浴缸跟淋浴空間是一起的，而且要跟櫃檯借用塞子，如果想在房間泡澡，必須等洗完澡才能蓄水，但蓄水只靠蓮蓬頭，會等超久。不過一樓的湯屋可以替代，所以也沒那麼糟。

Tamikito (5/5): 湯治の旅 - １人旅にしてはお部屋が広く、くつろげた。掃除も行き届いている。湯畑から近いので、アクセスが良くお食事や日帰り温泉など楽しめる。朝食がなく、無料のコーヒーサービスはあったが、素泊まりにしては料金が高めな気がしました。ベッドカバーが、大きなタオル地(無地)のカバーだったのが残念。浴衣が、洗濯で色があせている物だったので、それを来て日帰り温泉等への外出、町歩きはできなかった。
hideaki (9/5): 素晴らしい - チェックイン時刻前に到着したが、快く車を駐車させて頂き、温泉街を観光できた。また30分前にもかかわらず、入室させて頂けた。徒歩数分の所にこじゃれた居酒屋が数件あるのも良かった。夕食時は事前予約がお薦めです。ベットの下に靴下の忘れ物があった。清掃時に気付かなかったのだろう個室の浴場だが、湯温が高すぎて入浴できなかった。残念です。

Yumiko (10/5): 家族が大喜び！幸せな夏の温泉旅♡ - 店主さんやスタッフの方々が、とても温かみがあり、気さくに話ができました。お宿そのものの掃除も行き届いており、気持ちよく過ごせました。東京からの行き来の1番良い方法なども教えていただき、小さな子もいたので助かりました。湯畑や観光地、その他温泉施設も全てが近くて、不便が全くなくて、家族は喜んで何度も温泉を楽しんでくれました。モーニングも美味しくて、お腹いっぱいになりました。全てが楽しくて良い思い出が作れました♪ありがとうございました。お部屋の電気がパッと明るくついてほしいと思いました。それだけです。
