Walking distance to Kyu Karuizawa streets, also super close/walkable to bus stop to Hoshino area. I enjoy every bit of the stay! The hotel is very beautiful, the garden as well. Everything with good taste. There is free shuttle bus to pick up from Train station to hotel, and backwards. You just need to reserve via message in advance :)

• Meagan (10/5): New favourite hotel - We absolutely adored our time at this hotel. So charming, classy and warm! Staff were all amazing and polite. Carried our suitcase to our room, held on to our key when we left for the day. The hotel itself is stunning. Yes, some may consider it dated, but I believe this only adds to its charm. I wouldn’t change a thing! The grounds are absolutely beautiful. We visited in early December and were lucky enough to wake up to snowfall one morning. Absolute winter wonderland! The church on the grounds is especially gorgeous. They have an incredible bar open in the evenings serving trendy cocktails. If you are a fan of the show Terrace House you may recognise one of the bartenders ;) Special shout out to a staff member named Steve / Yang from Finland. He was one of the funniest people we met on our trip. We had some great chats with him and he drove us to the train station after check out! Give him a raise, he’s awesome! Overall, we loved our stay here and we will definitely be back in the future! There are konbini everywhere in Japan, and you quickly become used to having access to them wherever you go. Unfortunately there are not many close to this hotel. We didn't care about this, but some might.

• Ava (7/5): Comfortable Stay But far from central area. - We liked the hotel, it was Quiant. Its a Bit dated.
• Amil (7/5): Lovely hotel in great location for walking Karuizawa old town. Primarily for Japanese clientele. - Great location, and classically maintained hotel. Nice room decor , and great restaurant and bar (food and drinks very high quality) There was a translation mix up with our dinner reservation, which the hotel did resolve to be fair without too much fuss - but turns out it was a translation error in advance. English language competency here is very low; we were also not informed that reservations were required for breakfast. Understand this hotel primarily serves Japanese guests which is completely fine, but if holding out to an international audience would be good to have some more English speaking staff on hand.

• Rory (10/5): Karuizawa was a lovely spot to visit, wish we had more time there. - Triple A rating for this hotel. Lovely staff and very helpful especially the guy who took as to the shopping area. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at and being I guess a bit out of season very reasonable value for you travelling dollar (Yen). We will definitely come back here in another season.
• Lachlan (9/5): - Hotel was warm & comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Position was great and in a pretty area, it felt very peaceful, central and made getting around on foot or by bike very easy.

• Takoki (9/5): 大変気に入った． - ロケーションは素晴らしく，少々建物が少々古くなったとは言え，老舗のホテルの魅力を十分に備え，従業員も礼儀正しく，親切．朝食も美味しい． 併設されている「音羽停」は美味ではあったが，カウンターの奥が乱雑，美意識が疑われる．

• YUKA (8/5): また、訪れたいです。 - 場所が良い。雰囲気も良い。軽井沢らしさ、非日常を楽しめた。お食事が大変美味しく、特に晩のフレンチのコースが最後のデザートまで飽きることなくいただけた。 チェックアウトが11時なので、朝の散歩などゆっくり出来た。 良くないというわけではないが、次回は90歳近い母を連れて訪れたいと思った時、玄関ホールから別館の部屋まで迷うのと階段が母にはつらいかな。フロント近くのお部屋に(あれば)宿泊したい。
• Sean (9/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is a little dated, but in a beautiful and intentional way - more old fashioned. Service is of an old fashioned manner as well, very attentive and personal. Great experience. There is no elevator access to second level, but staff jumped to help with bags and accommodate that fact so not a negative.
• 内野 (6/5): - 初めて宿泊しましたが、とてもクラッシックなホテルで、とても静かで素晴らしいホテルでした。今度は新緑の季節か紅葉🍁の時期に泊まりたいです。きっと絵はがきのような素晴らしいホテルと思います。ありがとうございました。 食事で朝とデナーとも洋食で和食があるそうですが、既に予約でいっぱいでした。せめて和洋折衷であったら良かったと思います。 また素晴らしいホテルでしたが、２階に宿泊しましたが、エレベーターがついてたら良かったです。ホテルの方が２階迄荷物を運んで下さったのは有難いですね。

• 三浦 (8/5): 良好でした。 - 部屋のレイアウトが、スッキリして感じが良かった。 朝食時、温かい飲み物を食事と同時に提供されるので、折角の飲み物が冷めた状態になる。食後での提供がベータと思う。
