The staff in the breakfast area are unhelpful, the food is disgusting and in my opinion, if you have a head chef...start looking for a new one. No chef should be happy to serve such disgraceful food. The booking says breakfast included but the only edible thing there is the bread and butter (not made in house)
Esme (3/5): Very disappointing - The View This is the 3rd time I stay at the hotel and the 3rd time they provided a double bed when I specifically booked 2 single beds and wasted my time in sending separate emails as well. Reception is absolutely useless. I reported the wifi that did not work no response at all. Breakfast is not the same as it use to be. Overall not the same experience as previous stays. One basically pay for the view, cause the standard of service and poor wifi does not value such a high rate.

Liza (8/5): Excellent location with great value - The food at the restaurant offered great value. They have just renovated the hotel so the place looks nice and stylish. The beach bar was loads of fun and alot of effort goes into making the stay enjoyable. Views were exceptional from the balcony and we got to watch the most beautiful sunrise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Manager was visible on-site and addressing issues throughout the stay showing commitment to improve the facility. Some form of polish is used on the floor in the bedroom which makes it immensely slippery. It smells strong which is uncomfortable. Bed needs to be replaced. I could feel the difference between the sides and middle of the bed. All windows need cleaning. Very dirty, even in the restaurant. Service is a little bit slow.
Myrna (10/5): Myrna - Cape Town - I just love this place. Whenever I am in Mosselbay, this is my go to place. I saw the sun rise from my bedroom absolutely priceless. That view...absolutely amazing. The pictures are exactly as advertise😊😊 The staff are absolutely friendly and I just love the breakfast😊😊 There is absolutely nothing to dislike😊😊.

I'm still waiting for a response from them. We didn't have water for two days, no room cleaning or clean towels. Breakfast is as basic as a 3 star hotel.

The stretch of beach is clean and wonderful for long walks on fine sand. Full view of the sea from the rooms. Both restaurants are beautiful. Will definitely visit again.

274charles (8/5): Great, but can improve - Stayed with family 1 night only. Great location for beach access, but a little bit outside the old town, so need a car if want to explore further. Beach was clean and Life guards on duty. Hotel has amazing views, but our room (quadruple) was on the "left" wing (6th floor) and we could smell kitchen odours as the vents and braai extractors were underneath and wing was pushing them on our balcony. There is a swimming pool on site which looked inviting, but the code to gate didn't work. We weren't bothered by this as beach is next door. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Both were amazing, food tasted great and the service was fantastic. Breakfast has fantastic views over rising sun, with windows open. Also great selection of food. Beds comfy, aircon provided, bathroom clean, all great. It's on a pricer side but you pay for the views and location.

Aloma (9/5): If the opportunity presents itself, we will be back. - Easy to find and well situated on a beautiful beach with plenty of safe parking. The sea-facing rooms offer a great view of Mossel Bay. The sound of the waves at night was therapeutic. Our room was sufficiently spacious and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was superb with a wide offering whilst the staff in the dining room went out of their way to please. The informal beach bar was a great place to wind down after a day on the road. Our room was slightly dated but not sufficiently so as to distract from the overall experience.

Personalet brugte 1 time på at få døren op. Vi blev ikke tilbudt et andet værelse eller kompensation. Hotellet været præg af at være slidt, vinduerne i restauranten bliver ikke pudset.

Claudine (6/5): Gem in the making with some love and attention from owners - The view and location of this property is unbelievable. The rooms are well furnished and cleaned daily. Our room's bedding and towels were replaced daily. Restaurant - service and food selection for breakfast shocking - actually non-existant. We attempted breakfast 1x in our 3 morning and actually rated as the worse restaurant experience ever experienced. i must add however that we ventured into this same restaurant that evening and told the head waitress who was serving us of our experience in the morning. The improvement was unbelievable in quality of food, service and value for money. The hotel is 4 star - rated. There is nowhere where one can sit to enjoy the stunning view, order a beverage and just relax. This is not possible. It's so needed and would add such value to the overall experience. We were forced to drive to the closed Vida e through traffic to meet that caffeine craving. Would have really appreciated an option onsite. The 1st day I tried to access the beach for a run, but gates were locked. There were no signs directing one to the access points. i ended up gaining access through the restaurant. One can only gain access to your floor via a lift. Stairs may only be used in emergency. One is forced to always use the lift. Would be a great idea to do a thorough clean of the skirting and floors of the lift. Cleaners cleaned the mirrors but not the floors. We experience flea bites on our 1st morning. We reported to management and they were excellent in their response. Not only was our room thoroughly cleaned but so was the entire floor. This hotel could be rated so much more just with attention to detail. The staff are so willing. they were never rude and always attempted to help and improve. They just need guidance.

Beds need new mattress, too hard and warped. The dinning room is totally unpleasant and very uncomfortable, not a nice experience! AIR-CON IS A MUST, and please change the elevator music, its awful.

Johannes (3/5): Overpriced and no, just no. - View is great and beach is right outside. But really, that's it. I arrived on a Friday night and after one hour, I did something I have never done in 25 years of travelling: I asked for a refund and a check out (they were reluctant so I stayed). There is a beach club that is part of the Hotel and management places the entertainment of three to four beach club guests who buy a couple drinks (it's really not busy) over the peace of all their Hotel guests. Loud music pumping until 1 am and there is NO WAY you can get away from it even with earplugs. Staff was understanding and even went over to the DJ booth to ask if they could lower the volume or take out the base a little at least, but to no avail. Don't stay here if you are looking for the sound of the ocean and a good nights rest. Rooms are simple, worn out and not worth the money. Balconies are good. Breakfast looks good at first glance but oh well. Restaurant (night) is okay.

Brigitte (7/5): - We were on the 12th floor, the view was amazing, the walks on the beach which is right outside the hotel priceless. The room was in good condition, the cleaners daily did a good job, it always smelt nice. We had a small problem with the drain in the shower, but they sorted it asap. Breakfast was very good, you don't really need more. The restaurant could do with a bit of a once over, in that our order the one night was messed up, the lemon meringue I had the meringue was awful and full of sugar bits, but even so, good value for money, and nice size. The Indian restaurant was also not the best I ever had, but it was good, and staff was friendly. Claudia (5/5): Das Restaurant ist inzwischen untervermietet. Personal überwiegend unfreundlich. - Die Lage ist gut. Für ein Hotel in dieser Preiskategorie nicht gut. Wir waren 5 Nächte. Es gab morgens an Wurst nur gekochten Schinken, als Gemüse nur Tomaten. Keinen Käse. Gurken nur auf Nachfragen. Bis 10 Uhr gab es Frühstück. Wenn der Joghurt 9:15 Uhr alle war kam die Antwort „es gibt keinen mehr“. Obst war frisch und ausreichend da. Pancakes oft auch nur auf nachfragen. Usw. Das Personal am Empfang war nicht freundlich.

sgroen231279 (2/5): Poor quality for your money - When I arrived the staff was friendly, but in my room the TV was not working, I went to the reception and reported. They advised that a maintenance tech will be sent to my room immediately. I went out for dinner and when I came back it was still not working. Later I went for a shower and could not get the shower door open, it "dropped" and was scratching on the bottom frame. When I eventually got into the shower I found long hair against the wall and on the floor, I'm bald, so it clearly was not mine. Obviously the bathroom was not cleaned since someone else stayed there. At 23:00 I went to bed, TV still not working, no one showed up to check it. Extreme poor housekeeping and service for the price. I was traveling for more than 2 weeks, and on my way home, thinking I'm going to stay in a nice place the last night before heading home early the next morning. Should have gone to a guesthouse in the area. Rather support the local community than a corporate.
