• Gavin (6/5): Nice - Spacious and private Lack of water in the mornings: too many swimming pools being topped up, I guess. WC needed repairing when we arrived: it should really have been spotted before. Quite a long way from the beach but not a problem with your own pool.

Although it’s only a 25 minute walk into town the walk is up a very steep hill, which is not an enjoyable walk. Highly recommend having a car. We went mid May and the pool was quite cool.

• Ben (6/5): Nice villa and resort, let down by poor service. - The villa was spacious and offered lots of privacy. For our family of 4 it was the perfect size and met our expectations. The resort is quiet and family friendly, and offers good access to the beach. I would say you would need a hire car, as Son Bou itself is quite remote from the rest of the island. I don't usually bother to leave reviews, but I feel like I need too here due to the very poor level of service provided (our expectations were low here as it was a self catering villa... but even these low expectations were not met). The service was honestly very poor. The communication was bad and they didn't take accountability when things went wrong. For example, the running water regularly stopped working (happened 4 times in our 10 day stay). The reception provided a WhatsApp number as the actual reception was about 1.5km away (hence need a car), so I texted them with any issues and they said they would follow up (They never did, and I had to always chase them again for an update). With regards to cleaning, this was an ordeal. We were told the villa would have a full clean on day 7 of the stay. Again I had to chase them for this. They seemingly didn't know when Day 7 was or when we checked in, the clean then happened on Day 9 (I had to remind the cleaners to clean when they brought towels as they were about to leave)... and no fresh sheets were provided. Just a simple sweep and mop was conducted. In mind that Son Boy is a beach resort, I was very surprised that sheets weren't changed. We had to shake them out regularly ourselves, which isn't really what I expect when we come on holiday. When I voiced my dissatisfaction via the WhatsApp number provided, no apology was offered, and they actually just ignored the comment. We were made to feel like they didn't care about our very simple expectations of clean sheets, clean towels and a clean villa. Which to me, shows a complete lack of service. It was a shame, as the villa and resort was perfect for our family. But I would not come back again due to the poor service and lack of professional courtesy.

• Luca (4/5): Schöne Villa und tolle Ferien wenn alles funktionieren würde. - Die Unterkunft selbst hat uns gut gefallen mit dem Komfort und allem. Am ersten Tag und auch am zweiten Tag haben wir dem Personal gemeldet, dass das Wasser nicht warm sei und zudem auch der Whirlpool nicht funktioniere. Uns wurde versichert das ein Techniker vorbei komme wird, was leider auch bis zum Ende des Urlaubs nicht der Fall war.

• Marko (8/5): Ruhige Wohnung, erholsame Tage - Die ruhige Lage war sehr schön. Ohne Mietwagen kaum zu erreichen Leider sehr weit zum Meer entfernt, zu Fuß sehr viele Treppen bis zum Meer. Das Personal vom angrenzenden hotel saßen bis spät abends auf der Wiese und haben laut Musik gehört und sich sehr laut unterhalten Das Mobiliar ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten sehr oft nur kaltes Wasser, oft irgendwo eine Sicherung ausgefallen
• Luisa (8/5): - Tolle Zimmeraufteilung - jedes Zimmer hat sein "eigenes" Bad Küche mit Kühlschrank, Gefrierschrank, Backofen, Mikrowelle etc gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber es fehlten einige Dinge in der Küche wie z.B. Salatschüssel, Salatbesteck, nur ein Schneidebrett. Es sind absolut keine Lebensmittel vorhanden - Öl, Salz und Pfeffer etc muss alles mitgebracht werden Zwei Zimmertüren waren nur sehr schwer und unter großem Kraftaufwand und entsprechend laut zu öffnen und schließen - wenn das Baby schlafen soll ist das ein Problem Im Oktober war der Pool leider kaum nutzbar da er sehr kalt war

La camera al piano di sopra è molto bella. Comodo il posteggio privato con cancello. Staff molto disponibile in caso di necessità. Sarebbe stato carino avere almeno una saponetta per lavare le mani, uno straccio per la cucina o del sale e pepe… capisco il principio di non voler “buttare via”, ma dover comprare questo tipo di cose ed usarle solo per qualche giorno è uno spreco allo stesso modo. Direi che gli essenziali potrebbero essere messi a disposizione. Camere, cucina e bagni erano ben puliti; i pavimenti, al contrario, lasciavano davvero a desiderare…

• Mehmet Ugur (10/5): Geräumiges und funktionales Haus auf einer Ebene - Sehr schöne saubere Umgebung. Schönes Haus mit 3 schlafzimmern, Küche und Wohnzimmer. Küche hat alles was man braucht. Wohnzimmer wlan Verbindung war sehr gut. Fernseher mit wlan Funktion. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt und waren sehr zufrieden. Pool und Garten war sauber und uneinsehbar. Terrasse ist zwar klein aber war ausreichend für uns. Kontakt per WhatsApp hat reibungslos funktioniert. Langer Fußweg ca 20-30 min. zum Strand aber sehenswert. Besser mit Auto zum Strand, es gibt viele Parkplätze.

• ivanmarte (8/5): Bellissima villa - staff molto gentile e rapidità nella consegna delle chiavi. informazioni chiare. la villa è davvero splendida, la piscina è incantevole. dotazione di utensili da cucina quasi completa. luogo silenzioso e confortevole in un contesto residenziale; la maggior parte dei paesi e delle spiagge è raggiungibile in mezz'ora di auto. considerando la struttura della quasi totalità delle spiagge dell'isola spiace non vi sia almeno un ombrellone a disposizione fra la dotazione. alcuni materassi non erano perfettamente comodi. l'orario di check-out alle 10.00 è un po' troppo presto. l'impianto di raffreddamento centralizzato permette l'accensione o lo spegnimento in tutti gli ambienti, senza vie di mezzo.

It’s a view on the pool and a street nearby. Awful receptionist, whose solution to our remark about it was to offerring to look for another villa on the island as ‘there are many more places to stay if we don’t like this’. Well, I can only say: Congratulations for customer service 😅 The villa does not come with any basic cooking seasoning or whatsoever - we must have bought things like salt, pepper etc. and same for basic cleaning products such as sponge, washing liquid, paper towel, dishwasher capsules, washing machine capsules… And I don’t mean things like coffee or sugar even. It may not be a fortune to spend on it after all, but buying it for a week long stay is just waste of money - and I wonder what they’re doing with all these things we leave, as clearly they don’t offer it to next guests. The standard of the bathroom (one located on the floor) is quite poor - old and falling apart, clearly asks for renovation. The cleaning (once during a weekly stay) means putting some towels on the kitchen table and a new plastic bag on the bathroom bin, without taking the trash. Overall, next time I would definitely listen to a brilliant advice of the receptionist and look for something different in Menorca, this one really isn’t worth the money. Stay away of this place to save nerves.

Some mould in the grouting in the pool towel rails a bit rusty. The bubble pool does not produce bubbles. You can hear the entertainment at a nearby complex. Kitchen is missing some utensils and the aircon in the main bedroom didn’t work. Also there are flies are meal times which are a real pest. WiFi was temperamental

So if you don’t like walking especially up hills this wouldn’t be the property for you. However, the views are over the nature reserve are well worth the walk. Ideal for bird watching the red kite was a regular visitor. Only one grumble the bath in the main bedroom needs an upgrade.

The owners sent someone around to fix it twice without luck and the third time we were leaving for work. All we wanted were portable heaters to compensate and they were not provided. Would be nice to have soaps in the bathrooms.

• Kevin (10/5): Perfect for a relaxing break - The villa was lovely as expected as this was our third visit to Villas Finesse. Very clean, and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing peaceful holiday. You definitely need a hire car for the location of the villas. This was good for us as we like to hire our own transport but you wouldn't want to walk from Son Bou centre back to the villas everyday unless you wanted the exercise!

• N.p.2023 (8/5): Villa Finesse #5 - Beautiful and well maintained spacious villa with clean pool. Jacuzzi worked well. 3 bathrooms a bonus for a family.. AC works well. Very clean. Plenty towels including pool/beach towels. Overall had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Children loved the pool at night after heat of the day. Space to park car inside villa. Location not suitable for very young children or elderly without a car. Walking downhill is ok but need a taxi to go back up with beach bags or shopping. Master bedroom ensuite sink needs maintenance to unblock pipe-water doesn't drain down plug hole. Need to visit supermarket for essentials (soap, breakfast food, snacks) before going to villa because villa doesn't provide a welcome pack. Other properties we rented in Son Bou provided welcome pack on arrival.

A few light bulbs needing changing. Pool had quite a few loose tiles.
• Osbourn (6/5): Pleasant - The location was great The villa had no satellite tv, which they did sort out. The water pressure in the master room was dreadful. Cockroach in the living room. The pool was full of leaves every day but only cleaned once. The king-size bed creeked every time you move. We were told we could stay the full day instead of checking out at 10am on our final day for 80 euros. But at 11.15 they told us we had to get our, ideal when you have 4 children. Wouldn't recommend villa finesse to anyone. But Son Boy is beautiful.
• Heather (4/5): Son Bou wonderful. Quiet location but up a very long hill. You need a car. Villa very tired. Poor hygiene - Pool Peace and quiet - location The villa is tired. The pool was missing a number of tiles. The Wi-Fi did not work until day 3 (7 day holiday). The jacuzzi also did not work until day 3 However, most disturbing was the mattress. It was filthy and stained. I have photos. The towel rail rusty. The table cloth again, filthy. The drying rack broken held up on a chair to use it. The property needs some serious TLC.
• Bulat (9/5): Superb - Comfortable villa with a private swimming tool. Well equipped. Airconditioning turns off based on outdated magnetic relay technology and doesn't turn on property after closing the windows. The shower head was broken in one of the bathrooms.
• Patrik (6/5): Lost its “finesse”, but still a very nice house! - Sorry to say, but Villa Finesse has list its ”finesse”. Still a lovely house, but the rental firm needs to improve the service. We have been here several times, but it’s time for the rental firm to step up. The whole point by renting a villa, is to be able to relax, be able to cook and take care of yourself. 15 years ago, this place had the little extra, now a lot of things are missing ( glasses, cups, bowls, cutting boards, knives, etc..) Easy to fix, but needs more “love”!

• Lorenz (10/5): Perfektes Haus mit Meersicht und grossem Pool - Top Haus und super ruhige Lage. Man muss aber eine Auto haben, sonst werden die Wege weit.
• Christian (10/5): Great property in a great location! - The house was perfect! We really enjoyed everything about the property. Location was great (just a few meters away from Son Bou beach), it had plenty of space for the whole family (great living room and garden with a big swimming pool with jacuzzi) and the villa was mostly quiet so we definitely enjoyed a few days to rest. Location was also handy, in the center of the island, with many locations around. Car is definitely needed tho. Not much interaction with staff was needed but they were friendly. Would definitely come back! Nothing really.
• Diane (7/5): Week in Villas finesse - Pool lovely, location peaceful. Clean beds and nice towels. No hot water in the kitchen or main bathroom. Water pressure in main bathroom very very poor. Generally didnt look very clean, shabby main bathroom, grouting needs re doing in the bath. King bed very uncomfortable.....hard mattress. Visited exact same villa 6 years ago and I feel it was disappointing this time as it appears no updating has happened in those 6 years. Mightve been nice if soap was provided for handwashing and a 'welcome' basic provisions supplied like bottled water , bread, butter might be a nice addition.
• Hartnett (8/5): Very good - Great pool, very spacious and comfortable It is quite far up a steep hill and a difficult walk in the heat
• Lucy (10/5): - Great modern villa, lovely surroundings. Quite a long way from the beach, but we had a car so it was okay. Lovely and private and very well kept.
• Aurelie (7/5): Good - Swimming pool, rooms, saloon Issue with the gate and no bowl for breakfast
• Nirvana (8/5): Such a lovely villa - Such a lovely villa. Everything you need, the transfer from reception to the villa was also very handy. I would say to stay at this villa even later in May you need to rent a car it is at the top of a massive hill which includes lots of steps and walking to get back.
• Philip (8/5): a lovely place to say in a great location- would use again. - lovely location, quiet, clean, helpful friendly staff. lovely pool and everything you needed for a great stay. only thing I didn’t like was the mattress - way too firm for me - although I realise this is personal preference thing.
• Aleksandr (8/5): Very good - Very good villa for this price. Comfortable pillows, place for barbecue. Not super clean. A little bit far from beach, groceries and restaurants. Son bow is rather small beach village and have nothing interesting. You should rent a car and go all over the Menorca.
• Pawlik (9/5): Superb - Very friendly staff come to pick as up from reception to bring as over to Villa
• Andrew (6/5): Has potential to be great - Location is quiet We went with this villa over many others in menorca at similar price as it stated there was a hot tub,(we were going in Spring) - there is NO Hot Tub, merely the pool has an unheated area within it with a couple of water jets, the description needs to be made clear, it was cold!!! There was no proper hot water throughout the Villa during the whole stay which never got properly sorted after many Whatsap conversations with staff, cold Tepid isn't great especially with kids. The heating didn't work on the thermostat which made cold evenings. Master bedroom felt damp in the evening but I think this was just because it was cold. Don't let this put you off though, they said they were going to fix but un lucky for us we had a bad experience which was never rectified. There were lots of snall things that are so easy to rectify if someone would take the time each week: ie the remote had no batteries, broken crockery in garden, no baking trays, no welcome pack on how to use things and local info, toilet constantly cycling water. The Villa has potential to be great in the middle of summer! Son Bou beach is lovely and Menorca is a beautiful island!
