Guest Reviews
- Matthew (2/5): - The apartment was dirty, we left a day early due to the condition.
- Michael (8/5): - The room was very nice with continental breakfast for one day trip. The only issue was parking in the street for only 2hrs until 6pm. This would have been a bigger issue if we were there longer.
- Michelke (6/5): - The room could have had abit more TLC windows and re plastering not finished
- Jacqueline (10/5): - I liked the bedroom size and en-suite and that there was a sofa bed in a separate living room for my adult son. The breakfast choice was excellent with lots of fruit juice, milk, yogurt and choice of cereals and jam/marmalade. Really good value for money for this part of Sussex
- Francis (10/5): - Lovely spacious room, lots of little extras including fresh fruit cereals juice and fresh milk. Great stay.
- Geraldine (8/5): Constructive criticism - If you hadn’t spoken to anyone prior to arriving, there’s no signage to tell you where the apartment is nor is there anything on the confirmation email. Luckily I had spoken to someone beforehand who turned out to be a very nice member of staff. Although four people were booked to stay here there were only 2 cups, no instant coffee so had to go to Costa machine in the Co-op in the morning at an extra expense. Although very clean, it’s not big enough for 4 adults n would maybe suit a couple or young family.
There was only one bowl of muesli which didn’t look very appealing so I feel that this should either be served fresh if requested by the guest or do without completely. Same goes with the bread, not enough if all of us wanted 2 slices of toast. Maybe ask the guest prior to arrival to complete a questionnaire to ascertain what they would like for breakfast.
No tea towel to dry up with. There’s no folding table to have breakfast on or anything else to eat/drink so we had to hold in one hand & eat with the other.
The rooms are in need of a little tlc with a bit of filler n paint.
The rooms are very hot but bearable, I would not like to stay in the summer with just a fan. Nice shower but the screen lets the water out n the sink plug doesn’t keep the water in. All in all, nice enough for overnight in a lovely village setting but don’t expect too much n you should have a suitable stay
- Andrew (4/5): Not great...... - Too many issues that altogether made this a really disappointing stay. Very poor water drainage in bathroom sink and shower over bath. Shower screen poorly fitted & needed to be held in place when showering. Uncomfortable night, very creaky bed and room stuffy - although room is quite spacious. Coffee provided but only one mug between three. TV/remote issues. Breakfast provisions looked ok but to be honest it wasn't somewhere we wanted to prepare food/eat so left asap. Parking could be problematic if no spaces on road and limited stay between 8am and 6pm. Poor value and wouldn't return. Such as shame as there's real potential for it to be so much nicer.
- Deborah (8/5): - Good location, good restaurant, nice big room, very comfortable bed. We were promised yoghurt with our breakfast left in the fridge but there was none!!
- Lere (8/5): Lime Apartments- No cooked breakfast - I think it should be stated on the website and breakfast is not cooked or hot and explain what breakfast is. I was looking forward to a cooked breakfast
- Sophie (8/5): Pleasant B&B - Nice room, clean, spacious and pleasant. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast left in the fridge for us to have in the morning. Only issue was a 10pound charge when I asked to have the sofa bed made up - I was staying with my daughter and we were jet lagged and I wanted separate beds so we could sleep well. The room was advertised at the price we paid for 4 people so I don't think it was fair to charge extra to make up the sofa bed. Other than that, it was all ok.
- Mark (10/5): Lovely place in a lovely village - Nice place with a nice restaurant below. Street parking could be an issue, though I manage to find a space 20 yrds away
- MR N D (8/5): Lovely apartment - Enjoyed our one-night stay here, parking for free and then walking (30 minutes) to Hayward's Heath train station to go into Brighton.
Lovely little village, and a good location.
Breakfast is left for you in the cupboards ... Muesli, fruit, yoghurt, milk, bread and butter to make toast.
With its separate living room/kitchen and bedroom, this would be ideal for people staying a little longer.
Also ... the sofa bed means (potentially) 4 people could stay here, although then it might be a little tight for space :)
- Francesca (10/5): Great place - Great apartment, clean and good size! The only issue, it would have been nice to have found the room warm …. Even though we arrived 30 min earlier, it took ages to warm up! But apart from that great all around and I would definitely recommend it!!
- Andrew (8/5): - The room could benefit from an update. Carpet stained.
However, clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable
- Ben (6/5): - Poor value for money. Condition isn’t great - definitely to be extensively renovated. On the positive side, the in-room breakfast provided was good, check-in and Check-out were fast and easy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice location on Lindfield High Street. The facilities in the room are nice, such as the juice in the fridge.
The low point about the room is the cleanliness and condition. The bathroom clearly isn’t cleaned regularly and certainly not before we arrive. The bottom of the shower screen is orange/brown with mould. Also the lounge wall has damp on it, large parts of plaster missing and cracks.
- Brian (8/5): TVs need to be upgraded! - We had a problem with the TVs. A member of staff came up and manage to get one tv to work. The next morning I tried retuning the other tv but as it was an old model was not able to complete the full retune being 7 channels out. Also no subtitles available. Suggest it wouldn't cost very much to install two new models with subtitles which would be handy for my wife and I as we are both deaf and of course would be great for any other Limes Apartments clients who are hard of hearing!
- john (10/5): - Great experience I would recommend to all my friends
- Corine (6/5): Shabby, not luxerious - The location of the apartment is very central right in the middle of a lovely local village. There are shops, restaurants and pubs easily accessible.
The two apartments are above a Bistro and you gain access via steep steps, there is no lift. The cleanliness of the hall way and steps was not good: there were stains in the carpet and during my 2-day stay the hall way and steps had not been hovered as the same crumbs and dirt was there.
The apartment had two areas: a bedroom with en-suite and kitchen with a 2-seater and a small table with two chairs. The small television in the kitchen area could only receive BBC1 and the screen froze on one shot whilst the sound carried on. The TV in the bedroom was OK. The kitchen had a small fridge had breakfast for the next morning stored. The kitchen area & bedroom had thin carpet and it was dirty with stains and other black marks. The walls showed cracks & plastering coming off and the wood around the windows (needing a clean) & were in need of a paint job. There was a small areas in the kitchen where the carpet met the wooden effect linoleum and there was a finishing edge missing. There was no microwave in the kitchen to make or heat up a meal, only a water cooker and a toaster.
The bedroom furniture had clear signs of wear and tear and could do with a varnish. The bed was comfortable. The roman blinds could not be pulled up straight, the bathroom had a shower screen you could not open as it was wedged.
