Cherry (1/5): We cancelled our 2nd night here to stay elsewhere. - We’ve always stayed in Home2 Suites on our travels. This was the first one we’ve ever seen that has disappointed us. Staff was ok but the front desk lady was absolutely amazing. She’s the only thing that made our stay good. The carpet as stained, tile in bathroom was all busted up, dirty bathroom with previous guests hair. Light globes in bedroom was crack and busted. Ac unit was in bad shape. Elevators were filthy felt like we got dirty just using the elevator to get to our floor. Very sad and disappointing having to write a negative review. We didn’t eat the breakfast Bec of the feel of grim and filth throughout hotel.

Landon (4/5): Convient location with disappointing amenities. - I liked there was enough space for our entire family. For a very reasonable price. I also liked the kitchenette that allowed us to bring our travel food in and keep cold and refreeze our ice packs. The proximity to the instate was bittersweet. Sweet because it was easy to get to. Bitter because the noise from the interstate was an issue all night. In the morning, the breakfast seemed promising, but the space was not kept clean or stocked. It was a huge disappointment. Additionally, the front desk person was very distracted and not attune to the needs of the guests.

Staff said was safe and they’re monitoring cameras all night , woke up in morning found out bikes are missing , turns out the 2 cameras facing trailer aren’t working , only footage is from camera further down , and looks like inside job , employees kept walking in and out. And we recognized one of the staff on the trailer in the video , all we could do is file police report , just be careful, staff will rob you

Signs said they were doing renovations which seemed to be the excuse for why it was so dirty. Hallways full of debris, dirty, hair, etc. Didn’t look like the room had been vacuumed recently either. Usually love a Home 2 Suites but was disappointed by this one.

John (2/5): - In spite of the fact that the girl at the front desk telling us that they “made our beds really good” (something I’d assume happens daily and doesn’t need to be mentioned) and hearing about her domestic issues, the bathroom was disgusting. Mold in the shower that you’d have to be legally blind to miss, and peeling dirty wallpaper, it was so bad I debated even taking a shower, and I was in Afghanistan and Iraq. From 100 feet the interior of the hotel looks ok. But everything is dirty. I used the bathroom in the lobby and went to use a tissue to blow my nose - the top of the tissue was dry, but as I started to pull it up, the entire box was soaking wet. This place needs serious work. And to the girl at the front desk, maybe don’t talk about your personal issues while on the clock. It’s a little unsettling. But I hope it all works out for the best.

The staff was welcome and helpful with all of our needs and requests. I did not like having to park behind the building and walking across the entire lobby to the elevator. Two elevators at the property would be helpful.
Roderic (2/5): - The stay was very unpleasant. I made it to the hotel late in the evening and I went to 3 rooms. Each room had dirty sheets, with hair and food in the beds. As if someone slept in the beds and then made the beds. on the bed. Terrible floors and awful smells in the rooms. I didn’t use the bathrooms and I didn’t take off my shoes. I had no choice to stay because of how late it was and I only had a few hours to sleep before going to my daughter’s graduation. The experience was not pleasant at all.

On the way, I received a called from the hotel saying there was an overbooking for queens would I mind changing to king suite. I said no problem. I liked how spacious the king 1 bedroom suite was. Stayed in room 301. The staff was very friendly. And the room was clean, just signs of wear and tear. For breakfast, tried the potato wedges and spicy chicken breast fillet, which was the first time I have seen on a Home2 suites breakfast bar. Experienced no problems. I would stay here again if I come through the area.

I didn’t realize it was pet friendly and it definitely had the doggie smell on the 3rd floor where our room was. The room we were initially given hadn’t been properly cleaned and we were switched out to another room. I wouldn’t say it wasn’t a horrible stay but I do feel it was grossly overpriced, but they definitely have kind staff members.

kbadventure (8/5): We’ll be back! - Latoya is amazing! She is the manager and is working hard to ensure this hotel is renovated and a sought after hotel in Meridian. She checked in on us every morning when we came down for coffee. She gave great advice for places to dine and visit! She’s the gem that makes staying here great! Rooms are in process of being updated. Breakfast was nice with some hot options. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Lots of parking with space for trailers in back.

Michelle (4/5): My overall stay was decent. - We loved the location and the breakfast. The staff was amazing and very accommodating to our issues. I HATED the rooms were covered with pet hair. It SMELLED like animals had been there. I love dogs, however, I believe they should be in another area of the hotel for many reasons. Hygiene, allergies, and noise control. I have a video of how terrible the room was. We did get moved to another, however, it was hair and stains on the sofa as well. As an honors member I expected more from the property. If all Home Suites are pet friendly in the same area as regular guest, I will never stay there for that reason only.
