- Martine (9/5): -
- Dawn (2/5): Run down needs help pool empty no vending machines working no ice working and couldn’t take a shower. - Nothing
- Tomasz (4/5): - Charmingly dated. First room was dirty and infested. Second room better. Worn out throughout. Upholstery stained.
- Oliveira (2/5): Ruim - Limpeza pessima , organização, higiene, barulho , atendimento
- Tammy (10/5): - Everything perfect place
- Joshua (5/5): Passable -
- Norman (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was great. It was the best we had on the trip.
- Dana (4/5): - The people were very friendly, I hope this location is able to stay alive and accommodate others in the future. Will need some more cleaning, double check if the pool is open prior to booking if you're interested in that.
- Michael (8/5): - I had to wait for 30 minutes to check in even though I had already paid. The people in front of me hadn’t paid, so their check in took forever. The lobby was locked down so I had to stand in the small area with no where to sit.
- Victoria (2/5): - We were given 3 different rooms all being DIRTY. We ended up not staying at all and received our money back only because I paid in cash.
- Teresa (6/5): it was ok but not as good as I thought it would be - The breakfast was good. The shower was good. I felt safe. The Tv didn't work, The microwave fairly worked.
- Natalie (6/5): Okay for the pricr - The room was very spacious with some updates. Some things were very outdated and the linens and towels were uncomfortable. Breakfast was in a restaurant where gratuity was expected. Service was very slow and she kept my credit card. The pool was empty.
- Chris (8/5): I will stay there again - Very quiet and comfortable Convenient and easy to get to
- Burton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): - It was quite
- J (8/5): - Nicely renovated older hotel , lots of charm
- Kenneth (4/5): - I was really disappointed. No soap or shampoo. One towel, 4 hand towels, no wash clothes and no bath mat. Found a long black hair in one of the hand towels. There was a desk but no chair. Holes in the wall were patched but not painted. The bed was comfortable and the A/C was cool and quiet.
- Vidalina (8/5): Good for an overnight & stores near by to shop for any for essentials - Near the highway n stores Dead flies on floor n on windows
- Karla (5/5): Passable - The breakfast was great. The bed was a little worn.
- Stevie (8/5): - Average at best, but the people are nice.
- Debra (2/5): - Wonderful lady in front,Debra.
- Rebecca (4/5): - Room was clean but very sparse. No carpeting... room was old.
- John (2/5): - The floors, sheets, and bathtub were very dirty. Only 1 light worked in the room, the telephone and desk chair were very dusty. When we complaint they switch us romms but the other wasn't any better. Check out was at 11:00am and housekeeping was banging on the door before time.
- Stephens (2/5): Very poor - Water Could hardly wait to arrive for the pool which was being repaired. Would have loved to known. No stopper in tub. Beds were pittiful. A.C. madei noises all night
- David (6/5): - An older motel seemingly locally owned and run. My experience was not terrible but not great either. Check-in was quick and the agent on duty was very friendly. A strong musty acrid smell greeted me when I opened the door to my room. Possibly an artifact of the many years that smoking was allowed in this non-smoking room. Night table lamp was missing a switch, there was a hole in the wall above the TV with protruding wiring, and the handle on the bathroom sink came off in my hand.
On the other hand, the shower was hot, the AC blew wonderfully cold air, there are restaurants and other necessities nearby, and the room was acceptably clean. The bed was comfortable enough for me.
There is a free cook prepared breakfast offered but I passed as I left very early the following morning.
This place does have potential. It’s got a vintage vibe that could be the foundation for something better. Overall, I was most put off by the smell and that’s something that could be easily addressed.
- Burdine (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): - Breakfast
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (4/5): - Needs work.
- Jesus (4/5): - Had to fix the plug in to have a tv. No notice that the free breakfast was not available on Mondays
- Verified traveler (2/5): Would not stay again - The rooms smelled musty and dirty. We got bed bugs. I didnt even have my daughter sleep in the room for that reason alone. She stayed with my mom. Breakfast was just okay. Not anything to get excited over. The restaurants service was nice though. Outside of that, not worth staying again
- Clayton (10/5): Throwback to the 60’s - This is a vintage 1960s motel that while still has the vintage decor and style was clean and neat. The breakfast was provided in the diner by ordering off the menu. I had coffee, eggs to order, toast and crispy bacon. My wife’s biscuits and gravy were delicious. I love that this place is still operating in an old school way. Not fancy. Not for Everyone but a pleasure for us.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (7/5): Decent value, comfortable stay. - Good location, good stay. Will consider staying there again in the future. Price was a bit higher than some, but competitive for the area.
- Rizatuddin (8/5): Very good -
- Leonela (7/5): Good -
- John (6/5): - Cleanliness is an issue. All the bedding was pretty bad, cigarette burns and such. Otherwise a great stay. Loved the complimentary breakfast they give to hotel guests. Restaurant quality food, and the staff was super polite and helpful. I feel that better management could make this place shine.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Looks are deceiving - Oh where do i start.. don't let the pics fool you, the rooms are not that nice. We booked a queen room, was supposed to have a couch in the room, there was none, apparently the pics are from before the remodel, per the front desk host. The first room had a squeaky ac unit, that triggered my girlfriends cptsd within 5 min. They switched us rooms, and the wifi didn't reach, and the room was right next to the office..how does the wifi not reach?? So they moved us rooms again.. the beds were hard as hell. Next morning we went to breakfast in the restaurant, waited an hour, for biscuits and gravy, and there wasnt but 3 other people in the dining hall. Overall it was a horrible experience. And we only went to sweetwater cause the there was a bunch of events in abilene this weekend, and rooms were no cheaper then 250 a night. But this was definitly not worth the $72 we paid.
- Sandra (10/5): The desk staff was wonderful at check in and check out. Our breakfast waitress as very attentive to - The breakfast was excellent cooked to other.
- Channon (6/5): - It was fine for the low cost.
- Jessica (2/5): - There were no sheets on the beds or towels in the room even though it was 94 a night
- Katherine (10/5): - I stayed at the Ranch House Motel while in Texas for Outlaws and Legends Festival. The staff was hospitable and the room was clean. I appreciate the free breakfast that was offered too. I would stay there again if needed.
- Jamie (10/5): I sent my daughter for the college rodeo, the front desk made sure she was safe and enjoyed her stay - Did not use It was a bit older but completely functionable
- Cheryl (10/5): - Easy access on/off from freeway, extraordinary option to have a free seated breakfast at their restaurant with non-powered eggs, especially for the reasonable cost of their stay. The only thing I did not like was that the mattress was firm for my liking but that's an individual's choice and opinion.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Rafael (10/5): - Muy buena estancia el personal muy buenas personas
- Kathryn (10/5): - Real breakfast included. Not just danishes & coffee.
- William (6/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The made to order breakfast is a big plus. The property is very outdated and in need of major repairs and upgrades. The lobby smells like old stale cigarettes. It’s right off the highway and accessible to restaurants and local businesses.
- Clayton (2/5): Last resort! - I stayed the night because nothing else was available
- Terry (1/5): Absolutely horrifying 1 night stay (we checked out the next morning). No other hotels in town. - I booked it for the location. Also states in the booking info that it was newly renovated. The first room they put us in was filthy. The dirt on the dresser and desk was unimaginable. The second room they moved us to did not have a blow dryer, coffee pot or chair at the desk there were holes in the wall by the sink, the electrical outlets were unsafe (one had no cover and another was cracked and broken, the lamp shade on the floor lamp was torn and old, the sheets on the bed were wrinkled as if someone had slept in them.
- Don (6/5): - Conveniently located
Excellent service in restaurant
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Nice - Very good !
- Patricia (8/5): My convenient stop between Marfa and Dallas. I have become a regular - They allow pets. Breakfast is killer Adequately clean, could be a little bit better
- Sherri (9/5): Superb - The staff were very friendly and efficient. Damage to lamp n walls in , someone used the bathroom n did not flush before we arrived
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overnight stay enroute to New Mexico. - Reasonably priced motel within walking distance to Buck’s Steak and BBQ. That’s why we chose it. Beds are a bit hard.
- Chad (6/5): Place as expected with big room and plenty of space but restaurant took forever to serve patrons. - Place and room was as expected but it took 30 mins to get bacon and eggs for breakfast for one person. Plan to wait for breakfast. Breakfast took too long.
- Donald (10/5): - Friendly staff
Nice clean room
- Brian (8/5): - Older motor hotel but decently remodeled. Television didn't turn on and coffee pot didn't work. Door could use a new bottom seal, I assume if sunlight can come through, so could a scorpion or something. I just needed a place to sleep for the night so it worked out just fine. Quiet property.
- Kristi (10/5): Exceptional -
- White (9/5): Superb -
- Loyall (10/5): It served my purpose well. - Breakfast was good! Location was convenient. The bathtub faucet is leaking severely so it ran all the time.
- Robert (10/5): Highly recommended - Very friendly staff. Best breakfast we have had on this trip. Comfortable room with quiet heater
- Jeanine (8/5): Very good -
- Ricardo (2/5): - …
- Jesus (5/5): Passable - Like the location and the restaurant with the Motel. The staff was friendly and helpful The only handicap room was a smoking room. So the room smelled like smoke. The fridge and clock were not plug in so we did not have a cool fridge to use. The TV remote didn't work properly so could not turn off the TV at night
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Rafael (2/5): - This is my Second time in this year in this hotel, pool is not working, there is not vending machines, the only reason why stay in this hotel is breakfast but I waited 1:30 hrs and I never received mine.
Am so sorry
- Gracie (10/5): Amazing - Close to restaurant and dancing
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I USUALLY STAY HERE 1 NGHT WITH MY LITTLE DOG BUT THIS TIME I WAS IN A ROOM NO.47 WHERE 1ST THE TV REMOTE WAS MISSNG THEN NEXT MORNING THE SHOWER DID NOT WORK AND THE HAIR DRYER WAS BROKEN- PLEASE CHECK AND FIX THESE ITEMS FOR NEXT GUESTS I WILL STAY AGAIN FOR CONVIENIANCE
- Rynearson (6/5): Pleasant - Room walls very thin. Queen room not as nice as king. Neighbor tv very loud. At 11 pm on knocked on wall.
- RENDA F (8/5): - Clean place, very quiet
- Christina (10/5): - I liked how spacious and clean our room was. And the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
- Beverly (8/5): - Great service. Free breakfast was a sit down meal! Room was very spacious and quiet
- Christina (4/5): Next time I will pay a higher nightly amount for more comfort in a room. Going back to Best Western - location was fine, The beds are uncomfortable, need bigger tv's, also need to update the bathrooms. did not partake on the breakfast meal. rude cashier on check in day, i thought free breakfast was good for check in date and of course rude cashier had to call me out for the whole front end of restaurant and anyone entering and exiting the lobby could hear her correcting me on the free breakfast meal.
With that said, I just skipped the free breakfast all together. the price was outrageous for where I stayed.
- Kimberly (10/5): - This is one of the last roadside motels that still has a cook-to-ofer free breakfast. It is right beside two fantastic BBQ/ Steak places. Reception was super nice and the room was very clean. You can tell this property is older, but it was still a very nice stay.
- Donnie (6/5): - Rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, there was cigarette burns on the bathtubs, and ashtrays in the non smoking rooms
- Chambers (5/5): Passable -
- Mara (10/5): Sweetwater for the Win! - Best stay out of the 3 we had. Breakfast was delicious.
- Brian (8/5): - The rooms have been remodeled and everything was clean.
- John (8/5): Ranch stay - Good for the price. Only negative was poor soundproofing in sounds and conversations from adjoining rooms could be heard.
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rafael (8/5): Nice breakfast - We made a scale in sweetwater, this a local motel that is antique but nice, they are trying to make a modern stay, we loved the breakfast.
It was great
- Marjorie (10/5): - An older property but clean and wonderful service. Free breakfast was full service and very good.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Lana (4/5): Disappointing -
- Donald (8/5): - Our stay was short but it was nice and breakfast was good. Would stay again
- Brian (7/5): Good - This is a convenient location with a good rate and decent facilities -- and a good free breakfast The facilities are getting run down -- so set Spur expectations accordingly. It would not stop me from staying again.
- Hancock (9/5): Superb - We always stay here when visiting Family in Sweetwater! Great stay & Breakfast is always awesome! Staff is Professional and Always so helpful! We stay here at least twice a year and never any issues!
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was good and free with room. Good deal. I accidentally left my book reader, and they called us to come back and get it, within a half hour of us checking out. Bathroom light fixture needs a cover.
- Watson (7/5): We’ll be back! - Great value and great breakfast included. The rooms are not fancy but it meets our needs and works for us. Also, it’s a motel where your car is outside your door.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Latanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carson (1/5): Wouldn’t ever stay here again. - Breakfast was good. Had a lady staying next door beat on my door because she wasn’t a fan of me letting my pickup warm up in the morning before work. I told her to take it up with the hotel staff because it’s not my problem. Received a note the next day from the staff saying my pickup was filling other guests rooms with carbon. They ought to fix the door seals in the hotel rooms instead of complaining. Also I stayed there for a week, the room was only cleaned and towels replaced once.
- Keith (6/5): Football game - Room was tolerable. One of the hand towels was stained a lot. Bathroom fan rattled quite a bit. Shower curtain had hairs on it, one about a foot long, we both have short hairs. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was great.
- Nancy (10/5): Just what I needed and wanted and for a great price! - Everything! The people were nice. The room was spacious, with lots of surfaces to put things. The bathroom counter was also spacious. The bed was comfortable. They served a prepared, hot breakfast in their restaurant, which was closed for dinner. But there was a very good BBQ restaurant right next door. Nothing.
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Becky (10/5): - Nice breakfast
