Guest Reviews
- Christopher (10/5): - Great employees
- JOHN (2/5): - The place smelled of curry coming through the ventilator that was somewhat dislodged - bath tub chipped
- johnhU7278BW (2/5): Terrible experience, recommend avoiding. - We paid in advance on Trip Advisor. The charge showed on our credit card app, & we had a confirmation number. When we arrived, we showed our ID as requested. The Desk person looked it up and had the wrong address and phone number, and said we hadn't paid. He told us we had to pay. We refused to pay again. We showed him the confirmation number, but he couldn't seem to find it. We left. A terrible experience, recommend avoiding.
- Christopher (2/5): - This property is nowhere close to the pictures.
- Carolyn (2/5): - Nothing went well. Could not find the reservation. The smoke detector was beeping so after an hour they just removed it. The toilet ran every 35 seconds all night The ice machine did not work so they went somewhere off property to get us one cup of ice.
- Aubrey (10/5): Knights inn - Decent hotel great for price
- russell (2/5): - This is not a hotel for regular people or families. It is crackhead bad, dirt or bug poop and pubic hair in sheets. Overall everything pretty disgusting.
COULD NOT STAY HERE, had to find better accommodations
- Gilberto (2/5): - Asked for a no. Smoking room. Room smell of cigarettes was terrible. Ice machine. It working. Sign that said complimentary coffee meanwhile there was none. I can’t recall if breakfast was an option but if it was, there was none. Bathtub full of cigarette burns. After the first day the key didn’t work. Someone entered the room and all they did washout new towels. First and last. Expedia should not be patronizing this place.
- Salina (2/5): - I would not recommend this propertty to anyone. The area is terrible, and the facity was not clean at all. There were bugs crawing up the walls. We told the ower (who could not speak english) about the bugs and allshowed him them in the room, and he was not concerned at all. Worst experience ever.
- David (10/5): - Great customer service
Room could b
- David (10/5): - Customer service was great
- Brandt (2/5): - Felt unsafe, it was grimey, I didn't even stay. I literally slept in my truck somewhere else.
- rodney (8/5): - Nice
- Verified traveler (2/5): 😞 - The room was so bad, i immediately went and got a refund.
- Timothy (4/5): - Faucet didnt work.
- Karen (2/5): - If I could give a zero I would. I’m also disappointed on Hotels.com. That day of check in I try to check in they say their system is down. Okay that’s understandable so they say we only taking cash. After I showed them the receipt that I already had paid for my stay. They say we can’t check you in only cash. There was literally no rooms available anywhere else what do I do. I notify hotels.com and tell them what’s going on they say they going to get me a refund. I went to an ATM & paid for my stay in cash after I already had paid through hotel.com but guess what a week later the hotel won’t pick up & aren’t giving me a refund & hotels.com is saying that they can’t do nothing about it seriously. After all the hurricanes we been through we don’t have money to be giving away. It’s disgusting & screw up.
- Angela (2/5): - I booked this place days in advance and i got there at 1am to check in. The guy said there was no power and i had to leave. I saw lights on everywhere! No one ever refunded me my money and i had to drive around until 3am trying to find another place to stay.
- Melissa (4/5): - It was ok other than jjx
- Timothy (4/5): Masters - Dirty towels, hair in shower. Pretty sure was not cleaned. We bought a comforter, candle and cleaning supplies and it was manageable.
- Paul (8/5): - Better than we expected..exterior appeared to have been recently painted and room had what appeared to be new carpet and tile
Bathroom was dated but clean
- Debbie (2/5): - The place was a dump!!! Definitely nothing like depicted in the pictures. The room was filthy. The one chair and foot stool was dirty and the vinyl was torn in many places. We were so uncomfortable in the room that we slept in our clothes. No dining facilities at all. There is a soda machine in front of the building.
- Andrew (2/5): Greed surfaces in Augusta for the Masters - The place is a dump. Threadbare linens. Bath towels small even for an infant. TV from 2011. Rooms need paint and basic maintenance. I know it’s Masters week but if they are going to charge $250 for an $80 a night room show some pride. I used to stay there when it was the Augusta Western Hotel and it was a lot better then. Cheap for Masters week but if they want repeat business…
- Ron (4/5): - Property was below average! Not located in the best part of town! Had no towels in room and no ice machine on property. I won’t be back to this hotel. Very dated property!!!
- Jeff (4/5): Cheap, not working room - The tv didnt work, the toilet didnt shut off, the air condition buzzed all night.
- Leonard (8/5): - Nothing
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not a bad place to stay if you're on a budget - Not a bad place to stay. It was clean.
- Michael (10/5): Great place for a quick visit to Augusta! - Helpful friendly staff. Close to an excellent, old fashioned restaurant with a great menu and fine service. Quiet.
- Matthew (8/5): - Clean but outdated, the bathrooms could use a little bit of work
- Carlos (10/5): - The staff
- Gary (2/5): A last resort stay option - Room was had musty smell to it. Towels were almost thread bare. Shower and tub had mold. And the toilet was backing up.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Price - Very good for the money. Well worth the price
- Gary (8/5): - The manager and his wife were delightful. They helped us with every request we made.
- MADHUR (8/5): - Value accommodation.
- Amable (2/5): - The worst Hotel I ever been in my life! I will definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. think twice before booking with Knights Inn. for the price is really not worth it.
- John (8/5): Pleasantly surprised - Wife and I were attending the Masters. The hotel is old, a little shabby, but well maintained. It was clean and comfortable. Morning coffee was good and continental breakfast was meager, but adequate. The management was courteous and friendly. We were concerned about what our experience might be, but our concerns were laid to rest quickly after we arrived because of good service and clean room.
- Brian (8/5): - The staff is great! It was clean and quite. Had a pleasant stay!
- ronald (10/5): - Staff and owner very nice
- George (8/5): Masters week - Some confusion at check in. Hotel made it right. Very clean, freshly painted, new bed linens for Masters week. Paid $285 for a $55 room. Welcome to Augusta!
- Jose (4/5): - Says breakfast is included but they dont have a breakfast. Woman was rude.
- Linda W (8/5): Family visit - It was a good place
- Del (2/5): - Upon arrival the lobby is locked, clearly for safety. Asked for extra pillows numerous times but that never happened. The ice machine is in poor condition. Nobody was available during check out and lobby locked. This place doesn't deserve the almost 3 rating it had. It should be a 1.
- broadridge (4/5): - reeked of cigarettes . staff wasnt very helpful
- Daulton (2/5): - Bad area. Got woken up 3 times in the night because of a stray dog eating trash that was sitting beside an already full trash can. Got up to go to work and the door wouldn’t lock. So I called the front desk. He said he would come check on it later. I said that I had valuable things in there that I didn’t want stolen. After a moan and groan he came and looked at it and changed my room. Moved everything from my room to the other. Already running late for work I through everything in the room and turned the ac on so it would be cool when I got back from work.that thing sounded like an old diesel tractor running. So had to sleep with it off. Overall pretty awful stay and would not go back. Also the free breakfast is a lie. The lobby is locked up and u have to do all business through the night window
- Amberlynn (6/5): - Roaches. I killed at least 3. People were arguing all times of night. Then someone was continuing to knock on my door at 3am then eventually gave up and started knocking on the next door. It's a nice place to disappear, bring protection.
- Reginald (2/5): - I will never stay there again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - .
- Cassie (2/5): Can do better - Well they wouldnt change my sheets on my bed after i asked them everyday and i was there for 5 nights the workers would bang on the door every morning at 10 and be rude they didnt have complentry breakfast like they said and they charged me a different price then what they said it was going to be on line
- Chase (10/5): - Very nice motel for the money. Ice machine does not work. And telephone in room did not work but other than that very nice and very clean.
- Lakeisha (8/5): Returning to my heart - It was a really good trip and the room was nice, house keeping was awesome
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place is clean and inexpensive. If you are just looking for a place to shower and sleep, than this will satisfy those criteria.
- Frederick (10/5): Great hotel - Amazing
- Danielle (2/5): - Do not stay there!!!! I got to my room and I was so grossed out. I slept fully clothed with a hoodie on and my hair tucked in I did not want any part of my body touching any part of that bed. If it wasn’t just for me needing a few hours of sleep before getting back on the road then I would have walked right back out of that room and left. I considered sleeping out in my truck because the hotel was so gross. I didnt even use the bathroom in the room because it was so nasty. Find another hotel this place is awful!!!
- MLinx (2/5): Hospitality, compassion, and customer service is at an all-time low at this place! - All these people care about is the money you give them and the imaginary money they're so paranoid about losing!
I was 5 days out of a major cranio-facial operation in which my face and smile could not animate and I had visible major bruising and swelling. Prior to my booking, I had sent this hotel a note via their online booking form and clearly stated I was a recovering patient and needed a low floor.
I had argued with the 30-something year old Indian female at the front desk for at least 15 minutes because she was certain I did not resemble my picture on my ID. OF COURSE I DON'T! I just had major facial surgery 5 days prior! But all my other info matched! Height, weight, name, credit card on file, email address, even exact time of check in, as they requested prior to my arrival.
All this particular female could say was, "we just need to make SURE it's you so nothing goes on." What exactly does that mean??? Wgat will “go on?” Furthermore, what MORE information do you need?? Want my doctor to call you? My family? My lawyer, perhaps, because this could very well be a hefty suit!
Despite my written request for a 1st floor room, I was still put on the second floor and there were no elevators in sight. Nobody offered to help me lug my baggage up the stairs, so I had to go against doctors orders and lift over 10 lbs myself UP the stairs. Good for my lawyer to know, as well.
Although she barely spoke or understood fluent English, the front desk lady was grilling me on what my procedure was for. Not any of her business and completely unprofessional! Very unfriendly, but you will get a *smile* when your credit card clears for payment.
To make matters worse, the door to my room was wide open upon my entry and I had to grab my mace because I feared someone was hiding in the room. The room smelled like moth balls, curry, and smoke, even though I clearly requested a non smoking room. The rooms look old, dingy, and easy to break into from outside. But I guess you get what you pay for!
1 star for the rooms actually having a mini fridge and microwave. Not for one thing else!
I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you want to be treated as a second or even third class citizen in your own homeland. Can't believe these people are allowed to run an establishment in "hospitality" when they're the furthest thing from hospitable as I've experienced in my 10 years of hotel lodging.
- tomlovesgeorgia (8/5): Our visit was just fine!!! - My two sons and I travelled from Northern Ontario to August, via Atlanta Airport, Friday March 31st to take in the Master's Monday practice round and get in 3 days or golf before hand. We pre-booked out room with the manager/owner Trushar and I have to say he was terrific. The room was just fine, clean and perfect for what we needed for the 3 nights. Understandably it was more expensive then outside Master's Week, but so was everything else. Golf tripled in value...as well as rental cars and air fare were much higher as well. Trushar was a big help in getting us to the right restaurants, in fact he even drove us there our first night. No complaints....on our end!!!
- Sparkie154 (6/5): Over night on Masters Week - With a ridiculous hike in prices on this The Masters week, up to $170 instead of about $60 but the room was spacious, 2 good size beds, clean and tidy and free cold water and juice available on arrival. I found the desk guy helpful and pleasant although English seemed a bit limited. But convenient to The Masters and one of the cheapest in area!!
- 624gregoryh (6/5): Motel standard terrible customer service - The Indian man at counter is super rude and impatient. But the rooms are decent. Overpriced though at $78 for double when nicer hotels nearby are $50 and they don't want to help you at all with anything. There is a hidden transportation tax too. Also, one of the outlets in 102 didn't work. AC works good. And the TV had HBO
- inswiz (8/5): Trip to Masters Golf - Rooms for Masters week usually go crazy in Augusta-$300-600/night for a normal $100/night room. In searching for a room I came up Western's site and saw $150/night. I was incredulous and called to confirm and then booked. Western is a small motel(about 40 rooms) located 15 minutes from the Masters golf course -perfect. The $150 is about double the usual rate. The room with 2 beds was clean, the bed comfortable, nice TV, soft towels and a great shower. Sure it was a bit dated but the staff was very nice, price was great and they even had a mini breakfast in the morning. I would go there again in a moment for this kind of trip.
- SteveV372 (8/5): Satisfied customer/Great staff - Last minute trip to the Masters and needed a motel near by. Found the Western Motel, I read reviews and hey weren't to good, but when I talked to the gentleman at the front desk to book it, he was genuine. He said they had done a lot of improvements, so I booked it. When I got there I met the nicest man who checked me in and went to my room. What I found was a clean room, bathroom was nice, ironing board with iron, TV lots of channels, and lots of Masters reading material. They even had key cards with Masters stuff of them which he gave me to keep when we left. So don't be afraid by bad reviews by someone who had a bad day, the place is very nice and not far from lots of entertainment.
- shay0800 (2/5): Nasty/unsanitary - They had roaches in the bed crawling as I was trying to sleep and the tub had dirt in it. The worker was being very rude when I called down to the office he said no to moving me to another room and giving me a refund then he hang up in my face and told me to leave him alone. He also gave me spray and told me to spray the pesticide in the bed then lay down so i called the police. Also, there was mold around the sink and a broken chair in the room. I advise no one to stay here at western motel on deans bridge road augusta ga they are unfit.
- LarryR577 (8/5): Friendly Folks - Passing on the Masters week scalp jobs from the so called "front line" hotels, my golf buddy and I chose the Western Motel for its price and proximity to Augusta National. The motel, while dated, was clean. The staff courteous and professional. No pool. No restaurant. No bar. But when you are looking for a clean place to just sleep and clean up, at a fair price, try the Western motel. You won't be disappointed.
- Nevhet (10/5): Clean rooms, friendly staff - We stayed in the motel section for 3 nights and it was nice and affordable room.
Warmed welcome even though we came around noon. clean rooms, friendly staff, and free parking. I recommend others to stay at this motel.
- 091272 (2/5): HORRIFIED - I am a truck driver that has stayed in some really bad places but this places is at the bottom of the barrel. I will not stay here again!!!I hav also posted some of the Pictures that I took. You make up your mind. Also they advertise a large truck parking lot. You can fit two trucks in it and that is it. But it is gated.
