- Manuel Mansilla (1/5): Bad experience. - Location is good (really near to La Plaza Mall and McAllen´s International Airport), however, staff was not particularly nice (they were not rude either, just neutral). When we arrived, just beside our bedroom door, there were trash bags staff had not picked up yet, just beside the trash cans, so that was not nice. Hotel corridors didn´t have air conditioning, so the air was thick and warm when you went out of your room. Our floor´s ice machine didn´t work, so we had to get ice on another floor. Our toilet would not flush, so we had to ask to get it fixed. There were toothpicks just beside our beds when we first arrived, which indicated that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned for our arrival, and it was gross. There were also stains on our room´s carpet. Outside of our room, the carpet was lifted, so we stumbled 2 or 3 times when going in or out of our room. Breaksfat was supposed to be over at 9:30 in the mornings, but staff started closing the kitchen way before that, and they didn´t tell anybody in case they wanted to get more food before closing the kitchen, they just went ahead and closed. That is not a way to treat travelers. When you compare your experience at this hotel with the price they charge for staying with them, the experience turns rellay bad, really overpriced for the service they offer.

- LBclem56 (5/5): This hotel was rated 9.1 and it is very overrated. I would give it a 7 maybe. - The breakfast was just ok. The toaster did not work very well. Took a long time for bagel to toast. I can't say anything about the hot breakfast as I did not try it. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the lobby is very nice. The first room they gave us was dirty. Dead bugs on the carpet and hair on the floor of the bathroom. The room did not smell clean. The second room was cleaner but the fitted sheets did not fit the bed. It was too big. The sink did not drain and was clogged with hair. The water pressure was terrible. I have thick hair and wasn't sure I could get shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. I had to fix the toilet. The fill tube was out and sitting on the bottom. Even after fixing the tube the toilet continued to run unless you jiggled the handle and sometimes that did not work.

Until my check out no one came to fix the problem. Housekeeper enter the room without any notice, finding me using the restroom on Jan 2 around 9am. They need some retraining.

- Miguel Loza (7/5): Excelente ubicación y un desayuno muy bueno, mal olor en la habitación. - Tiene una excelente ubicación, ya que está cerca de muchos lugares de interés (La Plaza, Target, Ross, Marshalls, Dicks, etc.) y el desayuno está rico y variado. No siguieron las indicaciones a la hora de reservar, ya que había elegido una habitación con características distintas a la que reservé, el olor de la habitación no era muy agradable, solicité aromatizante de ambiente y nunca me llevaron nada.

- Nad (9/5): - Me gustó mucho que está muy nuevo y en general se siente limpio, el personal es muy amable y atento, que la regadera no tenía tina y tenía cancel y me gusta más que así sea, la habitación es muy cómoda y de buen tamaño y además la cama y las almohadas súper suaves para descansar, ya es la segunda vez que me hospedo aquí y está muy bien para descansar si vas de compras. De otros holiday inn express en los que me he quedado, este está muy bien sobre todo porque el personal es muy servicial y amable. Había cabello en el suelo del baño y el cancel tenía moho, además de que en el suelo de la entrada y el baño se quedaban marcadas las huellas de los zapatos y se sentía pegosteoso, pedí pasta de dientes y no tenían, eso es algo importante cuando eres huésped incluso si te lo cobraran pero deberían tener, y la máquina de hielo del segundo piso no jalaba.

Dirty mini fridge (which also didn’t cool well), plug in outlets not working. A housekeeper walked into our room without knocking or announcing themselves… while we were still in there.
- Laura (6/5): Good location needs to level up there cleaning levels - Very good location and also breakfast was very good a lot of options as well I have some package delivery and the service was very efficient That the person that “cleans” the room actually didn’t clean we stay for 4 nights and in the 4 nights she never vacuum the room and clean properly the bathroom the floor was dirty of normal use and she didn’t even clean it, the mirror never wiped she just will leave clean towels and kind of do the bed very disappointing

- Ahmed (8/5): - Property was generally clean, felt safe, was close to most amenities, and the staff were courteous. I dislike the fact that when I would go to the front desk I would often have to wait for a staff member to come out of their office and on departure early morning there wasn't anyone at the front desk.
- Gloria (4/5): - Nos hospedamos 2 noches y no recibimos el servicio de limpieza de habitación. Al comentarlo cuando hicimos check out nos empezaron a culpar al respecto, primero diciendo que porque no se había quitado el letrero de no molestar, cosa que sí se hizo, y después nos dijeron que fue porque alguien de nuestra habitación había solicitado que no se hiciera el servicio. Pedimos que nos comprobaran eso y después de un rato solo se disculparon y nos dijeron que la habitación debió de ser limpiada y que lo hablarían con el staff. Puedo comprender que se les haya pasado pero no que mientan culpando al huésped para evadir su responsabilidad.

- Alejandro Gamboa D (10/5): De lo mejor en Mc Allen - La ubicación es perfecta, el desayuno muy variado y rico, la piscina con agua calientita y las camas muy cómodas. Que no tenías cafetera en la habitación, pero en el lobby tenían café las 24 hrs teníamos que bajar por él.

- Frank (4/5): - No one at front desk in the middle of the day for check-in for a few minutes. Room smelled like old, wet gym shoes as soon as we walked in...noted most of the carpet was damp. AC was cold but noisy, like it was near to breaking down. Window blind was worn/torn but we were able to make it work. Couch had a pretty sizeable hole/tear ~2 inches on top of back. One of the pillows smelled really bad, like maybe it was on the floor and picked up the smell from it. Asked desk about something to help with the odor and they gave us a spray bottle...so we did the work for them...it didn't help too much. Walls were thin...we believe there was a family above us since there was "running" noises like kids running around, which started around 4am both mornings we were there and battled the AC noise in our attempts to sleep. One of the two breakfast area coffee makers broke on 2nd morning we were there.
