- Stephen (6/5): - The location was great for our purposes and the parking was good. Breakfasts were excellent, there was a nice patio and garden out the back. Well-run family B&B. The principal negatives were the noise (our suite overlooked the main road) and the very spasmodic Wi-Fi. At this price point it was disappointing.

- adrian (6/5): Expensive for what it is - Clean, presentable and tasteful but room overall was small and the bathroom was particularly small where the shower (in the bath) would be virtually impossible to access for a less agile person due to layout and bath side height and screen. Verges on unsafe. Would have normally rated it overall as 'good' but a the price £150/night I rate it as 'average' in terms of value for money.

Home made gluten free cookies wrapped in the room waiting for me, and effortless delicious gluten free breakfast! Great staff and relaxed atmosphere and amazing bed and bedding!

The welcome, food (imaginative menus especially fish dishes) and well attended gardens are outstanding. The hotel is ideally placed for exploring locally and for walking into Sidmouth town.
