The only challenge I recommend is getting the luggage into the building and then up the stairs and then into a small elevator, and that you should also consider having more of an option on your American coffees with cream in the refrigerator would be somewhat helpful. Other than that everything was just meant thank you 👍

We had to sit on the bed to consume the breakfast that was only served in the room. -The hall and steps up to the B&B was not nice at all.

- ANA (10/5): Totalmente recomendable - Después de haber estado 4 veces en Roma, este hotel es el que reúne todo lo que buscas. La habitación es amplia y está muy limpia, el desayuno es muy completo, el hotel está tiene una ubicación excelente, el personal súper atento... lo recomendamos sin duda!

Die Rezeptionistin M.J. ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit und bei ihr fühlt sich der Gast wirklich willkommen. Das Frühstück, welches man auf das Zimmer serviert bekommt, ist sehr lecker und frisch! Als wir das Haus, wo sich das kleine Hotel drin befindet, beim ersten Mal betreten haben, waren wir leicht schockiert. Der Hausflur ist wenig einladend und schaurig. Aber wenn man mit dem Fahrstuhl bis zur 4. Etage gefahren ist und durch die Tür geht, ist es wie in einer anderen Welt!

- Olivia (8/5): Quirky and charming small hotel in central Rome! - Very well located in central Rome and interesting decor / concept versus a typical chain hotel. Very friendly and breakfast is pre-ordered and delivered to your room. It spans one floor in a building, various steps and small lift so if you have mobility issues it’s probably not the one. There isn’t someone on the desk 24/7 and no private room to leave luggage.

- Tanja (8/5): Schönes altes Haus in top location. - Die Lage in der Altstadt ist einfach perfekt. Alles fußläufig binnen 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Restaurants, Shops - alles um die Ecke. Dabei liegt das Haus ruhig in einer kleinen Gasse - keine Störung der Nachtruhe. Die Zimmer sind nett gestaltet - unseres hatte 2 kleine Balkone mit u.a. Blick auf den Dom. Das Bad schließt nicht wirklich vom Schlafbereich ab - es ist also extrem hellhörig, da die Tür immer einen Spalt offen ist (mir ist das zu viel an Intimität - selbst mit meinem Mann). Die Abluft funktionierte nicht, und der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war leider viel zu gering, was das Haare waschen wirklich zur Geduldsprobe machte. Frühstück nur ab 8.00h morgens (schwierig, wenn man rechtzeitig zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten los möchte...) und ausschließlich auf dem Zimmer - das war so nicht erwähnt. Wir hätten gerne morgens mit unseren Freunden zusammen gegessen.

- Jessica (10/5): Perfect, lovely stay in a gorgeous hotel! - Super quiet neighborhood, gorgeous location, huge rooms, so clean and well planned. They have thought of EVERYTHING! Toothbrushes, tampons, house shoes, nail kit/Qtips, incredible breakfast. You name it, im pretty sure they have it!! We travel about once a month internationally and it’s pretty rare to find a place that has everything there that you might have forgotten. Staff kind and unforgettable. We will def be back later this year when visiting Rome. Absolutely nothing!

- Stefan (1/5): Unplesent stay - The worst accommodation experience I have ever had. The apartment was cold and poorly maintained. The staff were rude and unhelpful from the beginning. Most importantly, there is a large hole in the bathroom ceiling that is directly connected to the bedroom, offering no privacy at all. This was never disclosed in advance and is not visible in the booking photos, which is completely unacceptable. Also, the owner saod that this is not big deal. This critical issue should have been clearly communicated before arrival. Instead, we were unpleasantly surprised on site. Bed is too small (140x200) for two persons. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place. It does not meet even basic standards of comfort, transparency, or hospitality.

Beds were comfy The bathroom with a window open in the bedroom but most of all the poor condition they offer the breakfast: in the room, we were three people but we just had two chairs and limited choice. - Pietro (2/5): - My stay at Le Suite del Barone was very disappointing and concerning. The listing is extremely misleading. The photos make the place appear like a luxury suite, but in reality, it’s an old apartment building that you have to walk into to get to your room. It is not a hotel or true “suite” as advertised. Once inside, the condition of the property was far below expectations. There was visible dust throughout the building — you could actually see it in the air — and the ceiling had clear signs of water damage and mold. The floors were uneven and broken in places, making it feel unsafe to walk on. The light switch was broken, and I even injured my finger when it got stuck. During our stay, both my partner and I became sick every time we were in the room, but our symptoms noticeably improved once we left the property — which strongly suggests that the environment itself was affecting our health. After our stay, I reached out to the owner to express my concerns and request fair compensation. Instead of showing any concern or professionalism, she dismissed my message and claimed that I “seemed happy and healthy” during the stay. She also told me that if I felt uncomfortable, I should have left and found another place, ignoring how difficult it can be to confront a host in person or relocate last-minute while traveling abroad. - Mike (10/5): - We only had 1 night in Rome and this was perfect spot. Close to train and airport and walking distance to everything you would want to see in one day. Room was clean, bed comfy and complimentary breakfast helped get us on our way. We were greeted by the host and she was friendly and efficient. Definitely would stay again.
- Lyndsay (10/5): - Don’t be fooled by the unassuming entry way… if you want to live like a local while in Rome, this is it. Paola was excellent at communicating with us to have our room ready even a few hours early, spacious bright clean room with a balcony, breakfast included was so lovely. Great ac for Europe as it was still hot. Walkable, helpful tips, and arrangements for taxis when asked, Nice shower lots of hot water and toiletries available to you, great area - the bathroom door is glass so you kinda got to be comfortable with your roommate hearing you if they are in the room but this also seems to be the going style. But really such a great room/spot for the price. And as an added bonus, just across the street is Il Corallo posters… GREAT eatery, so close and we even saw Ming Tsai celebrity chef eating there our last night- what more recommendation could we give?!

Breakfast was included and very easy to coordinate! We just filled out a breakfast card each night and selected the time they would bring it to our room.
- MICHAEL (10/5): Stop scrolling and book this perfect spot. - Awesome place to stay in rome. In a great neighborhood, close walk to loads of amazing attractions. Piazza navona, pantheon, Vatican, tiber river, all very easy walks. Breakfast brought to your room every morning was fresh and delicious, eggs to order, meats, croissants. Be sure to try the restaurant the alley, Il corolla, very good.

The location couldn’t have been better – just steps away from plenty of great restaurants, bars, and nightlife, which made it easy to enjoy the city without worrying about long commutes or rideshares. Despite being so close to the action, the hotel itself felt calm and comfortable, giving me the best of both worlds. The room was clean, modern, and well-kept, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with recommendations or directions. I especially appreciated how easy check-in and check-out were – smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a spot that combines convenience, comfort, and access to plenty of dining and entertainment, this hotel is a perfect choice. I’ll definitely be coming back!

- Johan (8/5): Mooie kamers met een vriendelijke gastvrouw. - De locatie is zeer goed, centraal gelegen in de oude binnenstad met talloze restaurants vlakbij en vele musea binnen een straal van 1 km. De Piazza Navona ligt op amper 200 meter afstand. De gastvrouw is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ondanks de ligging in het drukke centrum van de stad, zijn de kamers erg rustig. Je hoort er niets van het straatgebeuren. Het bed op de kamer was zeer goed. Het was even schrikken wanneer je het hotel voor het eerst binnenkomt langs een oude, duistere gang. De kamers zijn niettemin in orde en tamelijk ruim. Doordat het hotel in een oud stadsgedeelte ligt waar niet kan gegraven worden, is er geen metrostation in de buurt. Je bent dus feitelijk aangewezen op taxivervoer.

- Verified traveler (10/5): First Rome Experience.. 10/10 - Location = Perfectly central to ‘main tourist’ sights and other ‘lesser-known’, as well as countless amazing restaurants in every direction. To/From = Extremely efficient taxi service booked via the reception. The drivers WhatsApp you (with display pictures) hours before pick-up.. this is perfect for safety, and professionalism. At the hotel.. 4 flights of stairs (sounds scarier than it actually is) OR use of a 2-man lift (with one small case each). Staff = Efficient, friendly, helpful, thoughtful, presentable.. also WhatsApp you days before your arrival with Introduction/Greetings and instructions. Breakfast delivered to your room (upon requested time and order). Room (101) = Open plan modern rooms have beautiful ceilings true to the history of Rome architecture, with a spacious bathroom built insert (shower, toilet, bidet, basin, and essentials provided!) semi-long (but narrow) Balcony with stunning view of the rooftops.

- Olyvia (10/5): - This hotel was in a great location and very close to lots of restaurants. The breakfast service was great and was brought at the time we requested. We were able to walk to many attractions. The only time we took a taxi was to the Colosseum, mostly due to the heat. We were happy we paid for the airport transportation service because it made arriving at the hotel much smoother. Would highly recommend this hotel!

- Susan M (8/5): - This is a good place to stay but the elevator/stairs situation is a little cumbersome with a lot of luggage. They definitely give you special attention and you feel as though you’re their only guests. They had our room ready early and held our bags the last day of our stay. Breakfast is a nice touch.
- Steven (10/5): - We had an excellent stay the Le Suite Del Barone. Because of a flight delay we arrived a bit later than expected, but the folks there were super responsive and helpful. The location is super. Minutes from Piazza Navona/Pantheon one way and the Tiber the other. They also have very nice recommendations for places to eat and Rome guide books in the rooms. FYI, it can be a little loud in the room if you are on the street side and have the windows open, but only because it is on a vibrant street, and it is mostly diners and walkers that you hear--which we didn't mind at all. The breakfast was also just right. We really recommend Le Suite Del Barone strongly.
- Malcolm (8/5): - In such a great location, walking distance to so many restaurants and a great shopping street. Bed was very clean and comfortable, Internet access was very easy. The lobby area was always so hot during my stay, but wasn’t bothersome since you don’t spend much time there. And the AC in the rooms worked perfectly so it was fine. My only bother was that I stayed for a week and they basically made me leave my room one day before 12pm so they could clean the room, which I didn’t request for that day and it was the day before I was checking out anyway. But that was a small bother. I very much enjoyed my stay and would stay again. The breakfast delivery every morning at the time of your choice was FABULOUS and all of the staff were so nice, especially Paola!!! Love her.

- Kaitlyn (10/5): - Such a cool stay. In a really good area with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Really recommend the local salumeria too! We stayed in the smallest room in the property but plenty of room for the two of us for a week. Loved the breakfast. You pick the night before the time you would like it delivered to the room and what you want. So nice before long and busy days. If you arrive after the reception time, they make it very easy. The only note which was not a problem for us, there are 3 steps to get into the elevator both at the ground level and at the level of the suites. But many of these older buildings are like this and Rome isn’t super accessible as a city. Did not bother us and not the hotels fault as it is a communal building. Very very quiet rooms!
