Alison was an amazing host, the breakfast was exceptional. It was super quiet and peaceful and I really enjoyed my stay. Wifi was not the strongest, and mobile signal was also limited, due to it being quite remote. Other than that it was faultless.

Brought us fresh milk as soon as she had shown us our room. Had a fantastic breakfast with amazing local produce.
The location was great for our stay 10mins from The park, peaceful outside & in. No slamming doors felt like we were the only ones staying ( although we weren't! And the pillows.......dressing gowns amazing 5 stars! Nothing

- Anna (9/5): Delightful and comfortable property in attractive, quiet location. - Peaceful location, lovely host, clean, spacious and attractive room/bathroom. I had booked a ground floor room but Alison upgraded me to the family suite as it was cooler (it was just after a heatwave!) Very comfortable. Very good breakfast. A charming period property. The bathroom was private but not en-suite. This particular part of the accommodation may not be suitable for elderly or less mobile guests.

- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - I had a lovely stay at Allison's B&B. I just stayed for one night but it was very relaxing, the room was lovely with the gorgeous en-suite attached. The room was immaculately cleaned and the bedding was lovely
- Jacquie (10/5): Home away from home at its best! - Alison is a great host and her level of hospitality, amenities and breakfast were all to a very high standard. The communication prior was also very helpful. Only one idea for improvement is new guest towels just to match the warm comfort of the bedding but otherwise flawless.
- Mike (10/5): - Comfortable room, great service.
- Helen (10/5): Would most definitely recommend to anyone - Very clean and comfortable. Host was very nice and extremely accommodating. Nothing to dislike
- Helen (10/5): Perfect - Nice and clean. Good comfortable bedding. Excellent facilities. Really lovely accommodating host, who also cooks a delicious breakfast!
Quiet location. Nothing to dislike
- Christian (10/5): A friendly B&B with good facilities. - Alison is a friendly, welcoming host. Breakfast was great and timing flexible. Good facilities and a nice balance of privacy. Parking was spacious and easy to access.
- Neilw (10/5): Lovely quiet and comfortable B&B with great breakfast & friendly host - The breakfast was excellent. Alison asked us the night before what we'd like for breakfast and was even able to include some vegetarian sausages (although I had forgotten to mention this in advance). The building is a lovely old (mid 1800s) and characterful house with spacious rooms and excellent ensuite facilities. The Rose room had a huge bed, a chair and sofa and even a chair in the bathroom. Coffee and tea facilities are provided in the rooms. There is off-road parking for a few cars right next to the house. The area is very quiet and peaceful and the Icknield Way passes right outside.
- sandra (10/5): Lovely stay in the Suffolk countryside - We had a lovely stay in this very special bnb . The rooms were well appointed with a super comfy bed and good linen. There was a well stocked tea tray with fresh milk and good quality biscuits. The shower room was close by and soley for our use. The host Alison was really lovely and knowledgable on the local area. The best bit was the peace and quiet and no light pollution. In beautiful countryside.
- Rolande (10/5): We'd like to return and will certainly recommend to others. - Alison, the host, was delightful and accommodated our request to arrive much earlier so as to be able to change clothes before heading off to a family funeral. She also put in an extra bed as requested. The bedrooms are large and charming, the beds large and comfortable with crisp cotton linen. We enjoyed the home cooked full English breakfast.
A great, lucky find! Nothing
- Andy (8/5): Lovely B&B in a spotlessly clean old renovated farm house. - Very peaceful location, Alison looked after us very well and cooked a lovely breakfast.
- Jennie (10/5): Would definitely come back. - This is a beautiful peaceful farmhouse with a friendly welcome and every comfort. Super cosy beds and bathroom. Awoke to bird song, which is always nice. In a cul de sac so no through traffic. Delicious breakfast.
- Michael (10/5): Well worth going a little off the beaten track to stay here. Quiet but only a few minutes to Newmarket - Nice room with good shower room adjacent accessed through private corridor. Very pleasant host who made you very welcome, as did Poppy the dog
Excellent cooked breakfast
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect one night stop - Quiet, private, spacious bedroom & bathroom with a hot & powerful shower, plenty of clothes space & electric sockets in useful places It was a little cold but that was a minor problem easily solved
- Barbara (9/5): Superb - Amazing place. Great host. My son loved the place and the dogs and played hide and seek which he never wants to at home. Nothing that I didn't like.
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely B&B, delicious breakfast and Owner very nice. Room was very nice and bed comfortable, only stayed for 1 night but I would stay there again nothing
- Sylvia (10/5): Ideal place to stay, welcoming host and fabulously comfortable bed. - Lovely quiet location Nothing
- MR C D (10/5): - Lovely quiet place to stay with a lovely breakfast.
- Sophia (10/5): Perfect - All was perfect and Alison was a lovely host
- Christine (9/5): What a lovely place to stay - We haven't stayed at B & B for years after a bad experience but this restored our confidence. It's a beautiful quiet spot and Alison went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable, helping us out with cab numbers and even letting us check in a bit early to change into our wedding outfits. Breakfast was really good and relaxing. If we find ourselves needing to stay that way again we will definitely be staying there Nothing!
- Sarah (8/5): Beautiful location & building, disappointing breakfast. - The farmhouse is a lovely old building in a great rural location. It was very clean & the host was very friendly & welcoming. The room we stayed in had a rather small double bed, but could quite easily have taken a bigger one. A blackout blind at the windows would have been a good idea. The breakfast was adequate; cereals, fry-up & toast. There were no yoghurts, fruit or pastries on offer & the bacon was half fat.
- Eric (10/5): A super relaxing B & B - Relaxed atmosphere, nothing seemed to much trouble for Alison to ensure guests enjoy their stay. There is nothing not to like about this property
- Kathleen (10/5): My stay was really enjoyable - I had a lovely private bedroom and bathroom .
The breakfast was excellent.
Wonderful friendly and helpful host .
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (4/5): Clean but has a few issues! - Lovely little cottage, could not fault the beds very comfortable, and the room its self was very very clean which was lovely. When we came to leave our room for our day out we were not able to lock the room, which obviously is not ideal, also as 2 females sleeping in an unlocked room made us feel uncomfortable. The host did try to lock the door but explained that the door lock had possibly moved slightly due to work she had carried out on the cottage previously.
The breakfast menu did not have a price on it, which I feel it should have as it was alittle pricey at £15 per person.
Also whilst we were eating breakfast the hosts dog was in the room and also scratching under the table, again we are both dog lovers but not everyone is and we would have liked to have eaten our breakfast in a room where the dog was not in.
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): The hospitality was very welcoming and was very friendly including the 2 dogs as we love dogs. - The breakfast was made to order and very nice
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheelin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimberley (9/5): Very lovely stay - Great little place to stay
Like a home from home feeling The bathroom was across a hallway so could do with maybe having a curtain to be a bit more private when in use
- Chloe (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (9/5): Superb - Lovely place, friendly, strongly recommend. For £12 breakfast I would expect some fresh fruit.
- Rory (8/5): Very good -
- mary (10/5): Best of the English countryside - In this beautiful farm house in the country, with absolute peace and quiet and lovely walks around , we enjoyed a return visit here with Alison, a friendly and accommodating host. Look forward to coming back next year!
- Susan (10/5): - Beautiful
- Sally (10/5): Perfect - Outstanding host and everything was perfection. Beautiful room, excellent breakfast and idyllic location. Nothing

- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - The place was really quiet and calm, room and bathroom tidy and clean and the owner really helpful
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (10/5): Lovely quite spot - The host checked before my arrival what time I'd be booking in. Unfortunately I was early so they were out but Alison was very accomodating when I said I'd be back around 10pm. Place was lovely and room was very comfortable with an array of items on the room to make my stay more comfortable. Overall would highly recommend but would also advise to close your windows before bed as the crows and peacocks woke me up at 5am!
