- Bellaire56 (8/5): Happy with GHI - The Grand Hinckley Inn is a bit dated, but adequate for the one night we needed lodging. The casino, with dining options is across the parking lot, so very convenient. Location is very quiet, bed was comfortable.

We ended up using our hotspot which used unnecessary data. For the price of the room it would have been nice to include breakfast, an expectation these days. We probably won’t be back.

We were assigned a smoking room (and corresponding cheaper rate) which we didn’t want. Charles at the front desk managed to make the switch after some finagling and a cancellation so we could have the nonsmoking room for both nights. Thanks Charles for saving the day! Please make this clear on Expedia/Hotels.com for the next traveler!

Sink was stopped up.Also staff should still knock before entering a room during check out times. I was in room and thank God i had the other lock on the top or somebody would have seen me coming out of shower naked! Even though i heard this was not a good place to stay i thought i would just try for myself and i also was disappointed I drove over an hour away from home for it:( Staff was helpful and nice.

The staff were warm and welcoming, adding a personal touch to our visit. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub area—well-maintained and perfect for unwinding. A great spot for a restful getaway!

- Vance (10/5): - Could not believe the spaciousness of all the rooms, lobby, and pool area. The grand size of the pool area was added to greatly by the glass wall on the west side creating the feeling of being outside. The overall quietude of the place was very relaxing.
- Thomas (4/5): TV didn't work - The room, hotel, and staff were satisfactory but after checking in we found that the TV had no audio. Notified the front desk immediately and was told it was the cable provider and nothing they could do about it. At checkout I asked for a discount to make things right for not having any TV and was told they don't do that. If notified earlier we could have made other plans or brought a fire stick.

- Melinda (8/5): Overall good stay - I was placed at the back of the hotel, there was an entrance close and parking was easy, which was nice. The first night I arrived after 9pm due to arriving at the airport after 7:00pm. There was no one at the desk, and the gentleman that eventually showed up was frazzled due to issues with other guests. Check in was quick after that. I arrived at my room and it was well stocked, the beds were made however, everything was wrinkled and untucked which made it difficult to tell if it was actually clean or not. There was a stain in the sheets and I wasn't so sure, so I slept on top of the blanket, I didn't want to bother the poor gentleman at the front desk again. In the morning, I called the front and requested houskeeping that day while I was gone. Housekeeping did a great job and replaced the sheets and the rest of my stay was fabulous. It was mostly quiet, except for one night I had elephants staying in the room above me who didn't seem to need any sleep and stomped around until 3 or 4 am. Overall, I highly recommend as the best stay within at least 50-100 miles, compared to any of the other budget "motels" in the area. I trust these guys the most if you can't stay with friends or family or afford an AirBNB on one of the lakes.

- Timothy (4/5): - What i wasnt impressed with... when my room got awitched from non smoking to a smoking room. Then at checkin im told sorry but its all we have due to the concert. I was there for work. I made that reservation almost a full 2 weeks prior when non smoking was an option. I just expect what i paid for and not simply whats left. I even checked in around noon. I know all too well many still had not plus the concert wasnt even until the next day.

- kurt (6/5): - Overall a nice place for an overnight stay. Its a quiet facility thats conveniently located within walking distance of a neighboring casino. Inside it's a bit dark inside. Hallways and rooms could use brighter or additional lights. We could hear our next door neighbors much of the night but turning up our tv volume helped. No breakfast is offered but they do have coffee in the lobby. Nice swimming pool but the hot tub was under repair the two nights we were there. Would recommend for the fair price they offer.
