Guest Reviews
- Featherston (10/5): -
- Karen (10/5): - Everything full restaurant, full bar sports TVs the works prime rib was Awsome and the staff work very hard ! We will be back!
- Robert (8/5): - This is of course in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is probably mostly used as longer term lodging for temporary workers. Room was a 2 bedroom manufactured building and comfortable. There is a restaurant and laundry facility. Staff were very helpful.
- Ronald (10/5): - Very clean. Felt safe. Keurig coffee in room! The beds could have been more comfortable, need to be updated, but slept well.
- Charla (9/5): I could have stayed there the whole week! - I like the location. The environment was BEAUTIFUL! The rooms were the best ones we’ve had on our trip. They had everything we needed. Tasha and Sara were the BEST. (Sorry if I spelled your names wrong)
- James (8/5): - Rooms were clean people respectful .
- James C (8/5): - Very nice rooms for their age .
Clean and comfortable
- Matt (10/5): - Highly recommend. Perfect accommodations for Delta while working in the area. Great bar and grill, spotless rooms, comfy beds and great owners!
- James (10/5): Will stay again… again. - Wet nice accommodations for what it is. Friendly staff and a comfortable room; everything you’d want for a work sleep location or traveling the Alaskan Highway.
I’ve stayed twice during one trip and will again if in the area.
- Kim (10/5): - Great breakfast and goodies for the road.
- Kim (10/5): - Great place to stay. Very helpful staff. Clean room, great bed.
- Cody (10/5): - Perfect for what we needed in a crunch. Not fancy but basic and clean.
- Jeff (8/5): - Interesting rooms. Almost looks like housing for a road crew. I mean that in a nice way. But decent.
- Joanna (10/5): Over all great little stopping point and would recommend others to stay there if in the area! - We ate supper the night we checked in and really enjoyed ourselves. The breakfast was really good with several options to choose from.
- Alexander (10/5): - Attentive staff willing to make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are quiet, and the area is great for peace of mind. Not to mention, having a bar and restaurant on the property is very convenient.
- Christie (5/5): Zeer matig maar personeel aan de bar was top - Personeel Kamer was te heet, 1 in stap naar het bed, douche was koud water
- philc273 (6/5): Ok - I stayed a night while passing through. The room was ok, a bit cramped. THere was a fan but no screen on the window (others did). It was a bit on the tired side. The bar was interesting, good food friendly service.
- Limor (10/5): - great place to stay
- Robert (8/5): - All good
- Miloslav (8/5): -
- Phil (6/5): -
- Jennifer (5/5): Worth a stop for a burger and beer but rooms overpriced. - The bar and beers The room was small overpriced, bed mattress poor and pushed against the wall layout of room poor. Fan had to sit on the chair to function.
- Tom (6/5): - No A/C available in the rooms. Fans were available, but were inadequate to offset the heat.
Also, the bar and restaurant were not open on Friday and Saturday...with no explanation as to "why." Both were open on Thursday...but closed the rest of our stay.
- Catherina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lawrence (9/5): Superb -
- Raymond (8/5): - Bed was very soft , no support at all
- Greg (4/5): - The roomwas fine, however, the rooms backed up to the bar which was very noisy until 12:30am on a Sunday night. Made it very difficult to sleep.
The room smelled of sulfur as well, unpleasant to be in.
Best thing was free laundry.
- Mark (2/5): - I stayed last night at the Trophy Lodge in Delta Junction. I called the hotel that I will be a late arrival. I arrived at the hotel, got out of my car and had one of suoervusor from McKenna Brothers, drove to me, in a white truck and accuse me of looking in the trucks. I could smell alcohol on his breath and his speech was slurred. He then took my picture without consent, and asked me where my hotel key is?
I told him I literally just arrived, and I called ahead to notify the hotel I would be late. He then was telling me I can't be here, and only after a hotel staff member heard the commotion that she confirmed my story.
The supervisor in the white truck. Never apologized and never deleted my picture from his phone.
Ontop of this it all happened on my Birthday.
- William (8/5): - It was just what we needed for an overnight in Delta Junction. Nothing fancy, but it certainly fit our needs. The room was a bit small, but this was probably what we selected.
- Vira (10/5): - I had a very nice time
- Lee (8/5): - Good Alaskan place to stay. Restaurant on site is good food at a really reasonable price. It is a ways out side of town but decent rooms for those who ravel around Alaska. Outsiders may find it rustic. Will stay here on next trip.
- Barrow (9/5): Nice clean place with wonderful friendly service. - The location was convenient and the food was great. We had no air conditioning which wouldn’t have been bad except we couldn’t open our window.
- Jacob (10/5): - Great staff
- marymJ2473DG (10/5): Excellent - Excellent! Our room was efficient, very clean, comfortable bed. This is a work hotel more than a tourist hotel but we will definitely stay here again.
The food in the restaurant was excellent as well, the bar made great drinks.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Mary (10/5): - Our stay was excellent! Our dinner in the restaurant was really good and our room was very clean, quiet. This hotel is not fancy but it was perfect for us. Cleanliness and a good bed are our must haves and this hotel has them. Will definitely stay here again.
- Georg (10/5): Gerne wieder - Tolle Gastgeberin, sie hat die Lodge im Griff. Macht eine gute Arbeit!
- Sheldon (8/5): - Clean well supplied room
- Nicholas (10/5): - The stay was great!
- Richard (6/5): Ok - It was ok. Dinner was expensive ($30/person) but very tasty. Room was very small. Needed another set of towels. No drinking cups in room. Breakfast expensive ($15/person) all you can eat. We did not eat. Experience was ok.
- Barry (6/5): - Room was so small that you had to go outside to turn around, cold shower
- ANDREA (8/5): - Struttura spartana ma nel complesso accettabile. Personale gentile e check in veloce. Possibilità di cenare presso la struttura al suo pub interno. Per il posto in cui si trova e’ ok.
- Lawrence (6/5): - The room was freezing cold and either the thermostat didn't work or the heat was turned completely off. Slept in hooded sweatshirt with hood on and jeans with sox on.
- Ken (10/5): - What a find in the middle of nowhere (sorry locals!). The room was clean and a place to sleep (although the mattress could use a replacement) what else could you ask for. The motel is attached to a really great bar/restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere even better. The staff were so nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again on my way past!
- Phillip (10/5): - Nice staff. Clean. Off beaten track. Free laundry.
- Ed (10/5): - The Trophy Lodge provided us a spacious room and a nice restaurant and bar in Delta Junction. Dinner was good, beer was cold and the room very well laid out
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hagen (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melinda (8/5): - The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean, although a little cramped. Plenty of parking. Easy to find and access property.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (7/5): Good - No breakfast was served. Location was very nice. Room was cleaned ever day which was very nice. A little quieter would have been nice.
- duke6335 (10/5): Welcoming restaurant with great food in a town that has very limited options. - Great service and excellent food. Very diverse menu with burgers, salads, pasta, and even sushi, which was very good for interior Alaska. We were on our way back to North Pole from visiting the Castner Ice Cave and literally nothing seemed to be open or serving food or welcomed visitors. Gas stations don’t allow use of their restrooms so options were limited. The Trophy Lodge welcomed us, fed us, served us great food and beers, and provided us an awesome pit stop.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Young (9/5): Superb -
- Randall (9/5): It was a pleasant place to stay. We did not use the shower. Only there one night. - All fine All fine
- James (9/5): Superb - The place was quirky, good location and the restaurant and bar were great! The food was fabulous and our server Michaela was wonderful! The rooms were large and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time here! This might be picky but the bed was so squeeky it was difficult to sleep.
- Wayne (7/5): Good - Bar and cafe. No pavement, dusty lot. Could get muddy with rain.
- Charles (8/5): Got the rest and meals we needed on our way back to Fairbanks. - Did not have breakfast. The dinner meal was good. Mattress sinks in the middle of the bed.
- Jan (7/5): Stop over Fairbanks to Valdez - Comfortable bed
Welcoming staff Google maps put us wrong by several miles, got to go down Alaskan Highway!
Lost power 11pm, sounded like circuit break however couldn’t find switch board. Left notification until morning to ask staff to address. Discovered next door stayers had turned off power to our cabin! The switch board in their room!
- Jessica (10/5): - Great stay!
- Tom (10/5): - Food at the restaurant,
Excellent
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb -
- Brenda (9/5): Superb -
- Odyssey07049195528 (4/5): Bad service at check inn. - Bad service at check inn!! We were 3 people and booked 1 cabin with 2 double beds. Only towels for 2 people awaited us in the cabin. At the reception I asked for another towel. The lady said, "You booked 2 beds, so you get 2 towels for 2 people." I said, we booked for 3 people on booking.com and ask for another towel. The lady replies: "If you want a 3rd towel, then you have to book a room with 3 double beds, which of course is more expensive, and then you will also get a towel.!!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michelle (10/5): A Must Stay - Fabulous lodge! Comfortable and spacious rooms. Love the view out the window. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Restaurant and bar attached have fabulous food and drinks! A must stay!
- W5247WTrayl (10/5): EXCELLEnt!! - Excellent place to stay.Staff was very friendly and responded to all needs very quickly. Food was excellent with a great kitchen staff, very well kept place. Good place to see the “Northern Lights”. Hope to get back soon.
- Tracey (8/5): - It’s not super quiet for those who sleep lightly. Music from dining area loud quite late. Smoke alarm went off our first morning there, and nobody was around to shut it off.
I also expect an option of shampoo, etc for use. All they provide is a facial soap. Just my thoughts.
- XIMENA (10/5): - Habitación y baño amplios e impecables.
- David (10/5): - The people were very very friendly
- Gina (6/5): - The people were super friendly and the food was great. There is even free washers and dryers for guests. There was only one problem but it was a huge one. Like most places in this area there is no air conditioning but usually the rooms are kept cool by opening the window. Window open and table fan on and our room stayed between 80 and 85° It was much too hot and uncomfortable to sleep. Ended up sitting outside most of the evening and leaving as soon as possible.
- James A. (8/5): - Friendly and clean
- webbfoot (4/5): NORTH TO ALASKA - We spent one night at Trophy Lodge. This was the worst motel we stayed at on the Alaska Highway. The room was very small, could only get out of bed on one side. There were not any cups in room. Anytime you moved in the bed, it squeaked loudly. The bed was also uncomfortable. This stay did not meet our expectations.
- kentonbear (8/5): Enjoyed the stay - We refer to the trophy as the workin mans motel in delta. Lotsa rooms and there’s usually a crew or2 of workers there for the room & board package.
Food is buffet style, never had a bad meal.
Menu rotates so you don’t get same stuff all the time.
Steak & king crab every other Tuesday is popular, as well as prime rib Friday’s.
Rooms vary in size so check on that.
Shared bath as well as private are available.
They have are bar that’s open for a few hours everyday.
Work staff is very helpful with any questions and owner is usually there daily if you need the buck stops here guy.
- 874jacks (8/5): Friendly Comfortable Place - I spent much of the summer here. I enjoyed the friendly staff and owner. At times it was completely full of construction workers. But there were quite a few travelers that came through. If I have work in the Delta area I will stay at the Trophy by choice.
- klineposada1944 (6/5): Terrible first impression - The photo in the publicity for lodging portals (just of an attractive dining area) is not even close to representing the lodging! Seeing the exterior of what appeared to be trailers hauled in for a construction site, with no landscaping whatsoever, a rickety porch and missing trim around the door of ours... if I hadn't already made the reservations and passed the date for cancellations, the first impression would have made me turn around and go elsewhere! Nevertheless, once inside, the room turned out to be surprisingly comfortable and well-designed. Shaped like a squared-off "U", there was a bathroom with shower and toilet in the the middle, while each arm of the U had a double bed with good mattress and nice bedding plus a sink and TV, Moreover, due to the shape, even without doors to the two areas with beds, they had privacy. After returning home, I searched for their web page... it states "fine dining" and mentions "menu specials" This was baffling since where you check in, all you see is a cafeteria??? From revising their personal web page and photo of the area I saw, apparently that is just the part for their "contractor package" of lodging +3 meals - which includes the all-you-can-eat self-service buffet. We were not even told that there was a regular dining room with menu and table service. Since neither I nor the female friend traveling with me were interested in checking out the bar that night, we were not even aware of the more formal dining area in the bar area shown in their web-page photos.
- feil675 (6/5): Two beds in separate room - I like the two queen beds in separate rooms. The WiFi works well in one room, not in another one which is weird. People is very nice there. We don’t eat there. My only complaint is room kind smells. I will definitely stay there again if passing by the area in the future.
- CaroleW883 (6/5): Large rooms should be able to have four people - We booked 2 rooms for 2 couples but only needed one as these are almost caravans with 2 separate bedrooms. No coffee making in room but available in main reception. Breakfast listed as 5-12 but free breakfast only available 5-7 we were not told this so were expected to pay. Ricky was most helpful and arranged to cook us all omelet which was good of him, service with a smile. Problems with TV but was sorted. Limited wifi so did without it
- webbtravellog (8/5): Lovely spot - The food here was great and the customer service was really nice. In the restaurant they had everything we needed. The rooms were super clean and tidy. A microwave or bar fridge would have been good to have. Location was nice and secluded but not well sign posted on the highway. Would definitely stay here again.
- mushroom2 (8/5): BREAKFAST BREAK - The restaurant was clean and had many options to pick from. We had the egg omelets and coffee. The food was prepared quickly and served hot. Great place! Residents can stay in the lodge and eat on site. They also have a bar for those liking that. Smoke free and clean. Bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked with paper products. Chef was very friendly and great at his meal preparation.
