- Renée (6/5): - Staff is very kind and friendly. Michaela is a sweetheart. Chairs on deck were broken. One bed in room was broken. Very small beds 36 inches. Place needs a lot of TLC. Interested in returning when new owners will have revamped the place. Beach across the highway is a jewel.

- Lauren (10/5): - Sweet little hidden gem on highway 17 north of Sault Ste. Marie. It’s good for a road trip stopover. There’s a small cafe, gift shop and convenience store/LCBO attached. Nice beach across the street for walks. Apple fritters are to die for and you get one free for breakfast. Room was clean and rustic, bed was comfortable.

- David (10/5): Everything you need. - The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. There is food available, it appears to be a very busy place, it is right across from a beach area. There is a gas station on site and a LCBO corner store. Overall a decent place to stop along highway 17.

- Rebecca (6/5): - We arrived and checked in without any problems. Arrived in our room and the floors were gritty/dirty, there was hair on the floor in the bathroom and someone else’s mostly used bar of soap in the shower. There were no dishcloths, tea towels or paper towels . There was also no extra bedding for the pull out futon. Both those issues were remedied quick enough however should not have been forgotten in the first place considering the room has a kitchen and pull out bed. The take-out has less and less options as the years go on. At night all of the outdoor lights are shut off and the lights on the outside of the rooms don’t appear to work so if taking your dog out for a walk- bring your own light source. We were told there are new owners this season so hopefully they are assessing what needs to be done and updating the rooms in the offseason. (The bathroom floors are a bit squishy and some minor fixes need to be made) We have been coming here for 5 years and it does seem to be showing the wear and tear.

The room itself was clean but the floor flexed when you walked which was concerning and bathroom window had a crack. Restaurant advertised was not open and when asked was told had been closed since Covid and would be open as a pick up and go deli open in a week

- Eric (8/5): Graet place just needs a few updates - great location with nice beach across the highway, on arrival at about 5:45m found out store, restaurant and gas station all close at 7. worked out fine but glad we didn't arrive after 7 as nothing else nearby. screen door to our room was stuck and hard to open and close. Room was comfortable but had very small bathroom and tiny TV. Deck just big enough to sit on. Lots of spots to sit and eat on grounds. Staff was friendly but seemed to be quite a rush at time we arrived.
- Beth (10/5): - The owner Frankie is a real people person. He likes to talk to his guests and tell them about the area. Spectacular views of the Bay can be seen from the parking lot. Their famous Apple fritters are just that, famous and delicious. It’s really a one stop stay with everything you need from camping supplies to gas to deli food to alcohol to their 17 North hoodies and tshirts, fantastic place!

The room came with a coupon for free coffee and (huge, hot, yummy) apple fritters in the morning! It was a great first stop on our trip across the top of Lake Superior!

Love that they keep the property clean but its not wonderful that they use the leaf blower on the parking lot at 710am. Food in the restaurant is a bit pricey as well.

- Phyllis (10/5): Apple Fritters with a View - The Voyageurs’ Lodge was the perfect location as a meeting up spot with family before heading into the bush for a remote cottage weekend. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our accommodations were perfect our one night stay. The lodge has a small grocery area and LCBO on site. We enjoyed our take out dinner. In the morning we were treated to their famous apple fritters and coffee. We would love to go back and spend more time.

Having said that, the place was spotless and had everything we needed (fridge, microwave, TV, table and chairs, couch and a great big window). Location was perfect for our needs with on site general store, restaurant an LCBO agency store and a sandy beach across the street. We stayed 3 nights and will stay at the Lodge again in the future.
