- Handa (10/5): - Sound proofing of room not very good, can hear sound of firecrackers and traffics at night during week of Deepavali. Room is clean and spacious, there is also water dispenser on every floor. Lots of dinning and grocery options available nearby.

- Arif (8/5): - I got a stay at this nice hotel at a well discounted price. So the normal rate would be much higher. However, if you could also get a ton of discounts to book and stay at this hotel, then i strongly suggest u take it. The staffs were good and well mannered. The room is huge with a lot of wide spaces. Not your typical small cramped cheap rooms. I mean for a room of two persons, u can actually fit another 10 or more. The only downside, there is no bathtub, at least in my previously booked room. Not sure about other higher level rooms. In a summary, totally recommended!

Floor was sticky. Requested for 2 double bedrooms upon booking. Came out to have 1 double bedroom and another one was with 2 single beds. One of us was bitten by bed mites badly all over the legs. This shows how dirty the bed was. I’ve encountered smelly odour from the pillow case (probably not dried thoroughly. Also requested for 2 rooms on the same floor but was not granted. Noise barrier was pretty bad as car noises can be heard clearly even when windows and balcony doors were closed. Carpark is so narrow and can barely fit a sedan car. A malay guy receptionist (40s to 50s) was so unfriendly. We requested for him to give us a call when the room is ready and we went back to our car to take a nap. He did not called us. We only got to know the room is ready when we gave another call to the hotel. Overall a really bad experience. Will never return nor recommend.

However, the walls are so thin that we can hear what’s happening outside and that affect our quality of sleep a lot. The bathroom doors need lubricant (say WD 40)to erase the creaking sound. The water tap has to be fixed to avoid it from “moving”. The drainage of the shower is not working and a small water pond appear after bathing.

However some things not fixed in the room - one of the bedside lights had no wire to it and therefore could not be switched on. the room safe handle was broken and it could not be locked even though instructions were followed, something wrong with the digital mechanism. The flooring use wood-look vinyl material, but the installation has been poorly done, so that the glue still there between the tiles... very annoying. Location is close to Adventist Hospital (only 5 minutes walking distance), close to food seller...., so that even though the hotel did not provide food, we need no worry for food....

Turned out it is a call taxi where driver refused to turn on meter and wanted 18myr for a ride that was 8myr by grab. Asked about pop up market and staff said no such thing. We found it ourselves. No wardrobes in master bedroom except a bed n bedside tables No late checkout. Chargable after noon. Noise from upstairs and next room.

So I rang and asked for a new room, waited for some time for a response as management said full house. Finally gave us another room, much smaller than the one given before. And garbage from previous occupant was not cleared. Asked for another room and there was rancid cooking smells in that unit. Settled for the second choice but rubbish was never taken away till we checked out even though I rang and informed reception. We were given a bigger room the next day but again, had a musty unused smell. Security man( not reception) who showed us the room said will put in air freshener/ ozone thing to clear the musty smell. Very dissapointing experience and definitely not recommended to stay here.

They didn't provide us with individual shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Instead, they claimed it was 4-in-1. Make sure you bring your own! The towel and bed sheets have holes.. lol. It was an okay stay.

- Shuli (10/5): - Pros: 1) the staff were friendly and really willing to help 2) the room was huge, akin to a apartment. 3) room had quite some facilities (microwave oven, a sizeable fridge, a tv, sofa, and some cutleries. Didn’t have a induction cooker so probably have to bring your own if you’re intending to cook) 4) bed was huge and comfy 5) there’s two 24 hour convenience mart beside the building and a small food place so u can get your fix nearby 6) the place is relatively safe as it requires your hotel card to access the particular level Cons: 1) the suite is situated in between two cemeteries so if you’re superstitious, do take note (didn’t affect us though) 2) the location is quite a distance away from Georgetown (you have to take a bus/ride share services to other places)

- Nur Aein (10/5): Awesome stay at Tropics Eight! - We truly enjoyed staying at Tropics Eight! The family suite is huge and clean. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Going around town is very convenient. 5-10mins to Gurney Plaza/Paragon and 10-15mins to Komtar! They even have promo code for Grab user! Anyway, since we are facing the main road, it can be quite noisy at night but overall it was an enjoyable stay! Will definitely recommend my family and friends to this hotel! :)

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The family is good for family stay. It is spacious and with living hall. The only thing I think the hotel should improve is the parking. It will be good if the double layer parking bays could be removed and restores to the normal parking bay.

- Cj (6/5): - Toilet bowl - have to wait for 2 to 3 minutes for every flush. Toilet hose - also the same, water run too slow. Toilet smelly because cannot wash properly due to slow water pressure.

- Marie (8/5): great service though room has a bit of faults - Great service by staff named Iman. As we arrived way ahead of check- in timing, he offered a room upgrade for a small fee and even gave us a complimentary breakfast coupon for our last day. Not much of facilities in the hotel, but its great for a family or friends to be gathered here. Unfortunately, one of the door handle was faulty, and the aircon keeps shutting off by itself though no timer was set. And that instagram was unable to be loaded using the wifi. Other than that, apartment is spacious

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great serviced apartment for our 28-day stay. Suite was spacious, well-equipped, clean, and bright. The management and all staff are excellent. Friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. Property is well-kept. Hawker centre, convenience stores, bakery, ice cream shop, and reasonable restaurants close by. For other excursions, it was easy to get around with GRAB (we did not have a rental car).
