• Amit (8/5): Best location for Sirigiya rock - Best thing is the location. Walking to the Sigiriya Rock. As that was the only site seeing we had planned there it worked out great. 10 minutes walk to the entrance and 5 minutes walk back from the exit. Courteous and friendly staff. Conti food was good Small pool and smallish rooms. Staff was helpful and courteous but unlike larger hotels chains they don't seem to understand/or are comfortable with asks which may make them change their SOP.. Not a complaint but something they could work on.

Insbesondere das Person - Super nettes und extrem aufmerksames Personal, saubere und geräumige Zimmer. Tolle Lage direkt vor dem Lions Rock Zimmer sind leider etwas hellhörig, was aber nur am Abend auffällt. Der Pool könnte etwas regelmäßiger gepflegt werden

Hygiëne in de kamer, badkamer kraan was half werkend en stroomde (ook na het douche lang door). Het hotel is over het algemeen veroudert en heeft echt een liefdevolle touch-up nodig.

A la carte dinner was great, and the live music added to the ambiance. Room could use a refresh/repainting, and no screens on the doors allowed bugs inside. Breakfast buffet was outside and food was not covered - lots of flies around the food. Shower took several minutes to get hot.

• pravin (7/5): Excellent hotel if you are visiting sigriya rock - Really good customer care and service. All staff are super helpful and friendly especially Neelakshi, Vimukta, Dilshani. The barman served my friends really professionally and was meticulous with his drinks. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and the proximity to Sigriya rock was a plus
• Coldsideofthepillow (8/5): Seemed like the best choice - Kind and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, nice rustic pool surrounded by trees. The only thing we didn't like was the hotel security guard insisting on managing the transport to the fortress in the morning, lying that it was far away, and completely gouging us on the price... but all part and parcel.

• Gregory (8/5): Great location in a tropical style building - Very good location to dining options and viewing Sigiriya Rock. Welcoming staff and pleasant pool area. Rooms were slightly on the small size, if you want to open two suitcases. There are some low eaves/ceilings to negotiate it the breakfast area - managed to hit head every morning!

Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Room was on the small size without any views to the garden, although comfortable and clean.

Big shout out to Vimuktha, Nilakshi and Dilshani who really went the extra mile to support us with our stay! Thank you, you are stars! The pool can be improved - both the broken tiles at the bottom and the quality of the water.

Anything we asked for, she went above and beyond to cater to us which really made the entire stay feel all the more welcoming One of the nights, we experienced AC problems and upon notifying the front desk, they immediately addressed the issue. The manager himself came to our room and apologised for the inconvenience and moved us to a better room. Honestly, I have high expectations for hospitality which their team delivered upon. Looking for a comfortable, warming and enjoyable stay - EKHO Sigiriya is that place We were there for the bbq night for dinner, and somehow the food didn’t hit the spot.

The hotel facilities are excellent and very well maintained, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. What truly stood out was the exceptional level of hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything needed. Upon arrival, I requested a room change, and this was handled smoothly without any issues — the operations manager was especially helpful and accommodating. The team also assisted in organizing excursions and transport at very competitive prices, which made planning activities effortless. The location is another major highlight. The hotel is within walking distance of the main tourist area, and being able to go for early morning or late afternoon walks and runs around the temple ruins was a genuinely magical experience. Throughout my stay, I was consistently impressed by the genuine care and professionalism of the team. Having travelled extensively and stayed in many high-quality hotels around the world, I can confidently say this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Nothing — everything exceeded expectations.

Big pool, looked amazing but we didn't get time for a swim. Good breakfast. Run shower for 2 minutes before hot water comes through and bathroom flooded. I removed 2 handfuls of hair from the drain and there was still just as much down there when it suddenly cleared itself..After that I got to shower. Mosquito's in the room as window was left open. No cappuccino at breakfast. The room was not dark with outside lights on all night

Dashintha was so helpful in helping to book activities and Nilakshi on reception helped facilitate requests smoothly and seamlessly. The place is a tropical haven. I extended my stay as I was enjoying relaxing in the comfort there!
• Josh (10/5): FantastEKHO!! - An Unforgettable Stay, Pure Serenity and Exceptional Hospitality We spent our first two nights in Sri Lanka here, and honestly, we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to begin our journey. The location is outstanding, everything you could want is just a short stroll away, with fantastic bars and restaurants nearby (a special mention to Rasta Bar for its incredible atmosphere!) From the moment you arrive, the hotel envelops you in a profound sense of calm and tranquility. The setting is simply magical. While relaxing in the beautifully refreshing pool, you’re treated to a natural symphony.. monkeys rustling through the trees, exotic birds singing, and even chipmunks adding their own charming soundtrack. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. Our room was immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was luxuriously cozy, and having our own private patio with direct access to the pool made the experience feel even more exclusive and indulgent. Although the hotel was only partially occupied, it felt wonderfully intimate.. almost like having a private villa with attentive, dedicated staff. Sigiriya itself offers so much to explore, which made returning to this peaceful haven even more special. The value for money is exceptional, and what truly sets this place apart is the genuinely warm and gracious staff. Their kindness and hospitality made our stay all the more memorable. • Lucy (10/5): Ticks all the boxes - a lovely heritage property in a great location - I did a heap of research re where to stay in Sigiriya. I wanted somewhere with a nice environment, a pool and close to the village. EKHO ticked all my boxes and more. I loved the colonial heritage of the building, the room sizes were very generous and nicely designed, the pool was clean and shaded (yay for my pale skin), and the food was excellent. As like everywhere in Sri Lanka the staff were super delighful - always helpful and engaging. I was really pleased with this choice and would absolutely recommend it.

A cute property with very friendly and attentive staff. We received a lovely welcome upon checking in. They were very efficient and they provided us a delicious refreshing drink. Good breakfast buffet and nice ala carte dinner. The room had a few ants but the staff did a good job getting rid of them. Water pressure in the shower was low, but manageable. I liked our room. Plenty of space and A/C worked great. Not a “luxury” hotel but it’s cute and quaint. The ants might be a constant battle for them. But they got rid of them for us.

• André (7/5): Great place but they should fix that connected door so it’s not so noisy in the room - Quiet place, very close to Sigiriya Lion Rock, but also close to many restaurants. The breakfast was an amazing buffet with great selection of fruit, eggs, bread, fresh juice, pastries etc. It has a small swimming pool surrounded by trees, we saw monkeys, a big lizard, a frog all around the pool. The staff at the reception was very helpful (I forget their names sounded like Natarusha and Alisha) they gave us great advice on the best park to visit during this season and arranged a jeep safari tour to Hurulu Eco Park which was great, we saw many elephants. The room had another door that was locked, I think on the other side was a kitchen or a staff room, it was very noisy after meals and especially at night. One night they were extremely noisy until 1AM and we had a sunrise experience planned so we barely slept that night. I wouldn’t recommend room 19.

Полотенца могут быть не белыми и за сче - Ключевое безусловно локация , можно за одни день посетить обе скалы по желании и добраться до пещер в Дамбуле за 25мин. Персонал вежливый и внимательный, завтрак с фруктами и готовят яица под ваш запрос. Отель не новый это не страшно , но для комфорта гостей можно было бы не использовать желтые от старости полотенца и постельное с пятнами. Если кто-то брезглив , то это может вызвать дискомфорт не смотря на реальную чистоту белья.

The longer area was beautiful and a fabulous swimming pool. Extremely comfortable rooms. All the staff went above and beyond to help us especially the guest services manager who helped us to arrange day trips and Chamimdu and Nuwan helped us with all our requests and were so pleasant. We loved the little seats outside each room, such a lovely way to spend time relaxing. We would love to go back if we are ever in Sri Lanka again !

• Maria Chiara (10/5): Indimenticabile atmosfera a Sigiriya - L’atmosfera dell’hotel era magnifica, ogni piccola cosa era curata nei minimi dettagli. L’aria che si respirava era unica, con musica da vivo, bar aperto fino alle 22 e turisti che anche da fuori arrivavano per prendere da bere o per una cena. Lo staff rendeva il tutto ancora più memorabile, con mille attenzioni e un’energia super positiva, sempre sorridenti e attenti ad ogni necessità. La colazione e la cena fantastiche, si può anche gustare qualche piatto più “occidentale” se la sera si ha nostalgia della cucina di casa. Sicuramente ci sarebbe qualcosa da rivedere ma i difetti di questo posto spariscono paragonati al resto.

• Giulia (9/5): Tolles Hotel, in top Lage in Sigiriya! - Die Unterkunft ist super schön und die Zimmer sehr gut ausgestattet. Alle Mitarbeitenden waren sehr zuvorkommend und immer höflich und sehr bemüht. Zum Lions Rock sind es nur wenige Meter und wir konnten alle Restaurants entweder zu Fuß oder mit dem Tuktuk erreichen. Das Buffet beim Abendessen war sehr groß und abwechslungsreich. Was bei der Buchung nicht ganz ersichtlich war, ist dass die Unterkunft an der Hauptstraße liegt. Unser Zimmer war ziemlich weit vorne an der Straße gelegen und somit teilweise sehr hellhörig und laut. Wir hätten uns natürlich im Vorfeld noch besser informieren können aber das war das einzige, was wir hier beanstanden können.
