- Simone (9/5): - Restaurant im Haus, bequeme Betten, nette Leute Dusche nicht viel Druck
- Robert (1/5): Absolutely not worth the money! - Location was ok •No WiFi after advertising free WiFi. Complained to the staff on Sunday and the problem still wasn’t resolved by Tuesday when I left. Complete waste of time!
•Zero/low water pressure in shower
•Threadbare towels in bathroom

- John (6/5): - Staff very friendly and comfy room. Food also very good as ate their both nights of my stay. No wifi on 2nd floor which was an issue due to me wanting to work in the evenings. Staff offered staff wifi login however that also didn’t work.
Shower was very poor with no pressure and the knob to change from bath to shower kept dropping down so shower kept switching off.
- james (7/5): overall we enjoyed our stay. - The bar and waiting staff were excellent, chatty and very friendly, the menu was well varied and the meals we had were excellent, reasonably priced as well. The set up at breakfast leaves a bit to be lmproved on.Quite a small space which on both mornings we were there was very busy and with it being a waiter service for main c ourse then it was a longish wait to be served,no fault of waiting staff, maybe needed extra staff to cope.We are both 80 years old and were on the second floor,no lift, and no offer to help us up with our luggage.
- Kim (10/5): -
- Hugh (8/5): Acceptable - Convenient location Breakfast, the coffee was terrible
- Colin (8/5): Great stay let down by breakfast - Handy for rail station and short walk to seafront. Hotel doesn’t look great from outside but room was excellent, spacious and comfortable.
This would have been a 10/10 review but breakfast let it down. I had perused the breakfast menu in the room the night before and decided I was going to have pancakes. Our server greeted us with a list of things that were not available which included pancakes, so that reduced the hot menu choices by about 30%. In addition there was no yoghurt and of the six pastry items listed only croissants were available. From listening to the server there had clearly been a problem the day before, but the delivery was due today. Clearly the server was embarrassed by a situation which was not her fault.
Either the person who does the ordering needs to get their act together or if the supplier is unreliable Greene King needs to find someone else.
A very disappointing end to an otherwise excellent stay.
- colin (8/5): good base to explore fife - very good breakfast
comfortable room ate in on first night - pub chain food was ok, but nothing special
- elizabeth (10/5): - Beds are super comfy Staff looked like they were a little over worked
- Robin (7/5): -
- Martin (9/5): Ideal hotel which is very good value for money - The beds were very comfortable, The food in the restaurant was really nice. Staff were very nice and friendly. The shower took a bit of time to get hot but did eventually. Breakfast was a good choice of cereals and cooked breakfasts, but the poached eggs were really over done. The sauce n the benedict eggs was a bit strong but that maybe my pallet
- Elsbeth (8/5): - Room was quite spacious, en suite had a bath. By Would be nice if breakfast times were a bit longer. Currently 7am to 9am. 9.30 or 10am would allow for a "lie in" as reality is 8.30 would be the latest you would feel comfortable coming down to ensure an unrushed breakfast
- Helena (7/5): -
- ann (10/5): - Location on the high street near train station and bus station
- Claudia (9/5): -
- Delwyn (9/5): - Comfy bed good size room staff friendly Good location
- Mandy (8/5): Pleasant stay, friendly staff, comfortable bed, pleasant experience - Breakfast was good, we opted to pay per day rather than upfront as we wanted full flexibility. Staff were very nice and friendly, particularly the English lady who served us breakfast on 4/5/26, she couldn't have been more attentive. Didn't like the fact that they had Sky Sports News on in the snug when we had breakfast on Sunday (03/05/26). It was loud and obtrusive. We were seated in the bar for breakfast on Monday (04/05/26), which was a much more pleasant experience, as there was easy listening music which suited the time of day far better.
- Johann (8/5): Lovely but be early for your breakfast!!!🫣 - Very central but quiet Oooo the row we got from the breakfast waitress for not going down for breakfast until 08.50. Got shouted at that they finish at 09.00…. Well it’s 08.50 so ten minutes yet. Another couple got shouted at too!! Then we all got a lecture 😬 Clearly not having her best day.
- Maria (6/5): - Squeaky floors everywhere. In the corridors and in the rooms. Keep waking up in the night when other guests were passing the room.

- Leitner (8/5): - Gemütliches Restaurant im Hotel Schlechte Beleuchtung Bad
- Anne (10/5): Staff excellent - Close to all amenities Nothing
- neil (7/5): -
- Ryan (7/5): Adequate. Would use again - Location to where I was staying. Creaky floorboards in room. Only one (small) pillow on bed. Shower zero pressure
- siobhon (9/5): -
- Michael (5/5): Would nit highly recommend unless you’re on a budget - As an American, it might be unfair for me to judge but I felt this was a bit dated and more economy facility. It was convenient and had parking. The food at the restaurant wasn’t particularly good - more of a sports bar
- Graham (4/5): Underwhelming in every way. Like a 1990s Travelodge. - It was available Not enough staff
- Lynne (9/5): - The staff, the comfortable room, the cleanliness, the food, the location No lifts to the rooms
- Terry (9/5): -
- MG (10/5): - Great location, great food, clean and spacious bedroom.
All the staff where great and really friendly.
I think it was Elaine who kept us up to date with our arrival being around 7pm.
Bar staff where great and Teresa was a star at breakfast as we where down close to finishing time and she and the chef managed to get a cracking full breakfast out for the 6 of us.
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Brian (10/5): Always made welcome Another great stay Back soon - Very warm welcoming staff Room clean warm and generally Hotel kept very organised

- Sturrock (10/5): - It was good
- Murphy (6/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): - We were all made to feel welcome throughout our stay Would have enjoyed sound for the sports in the bar
- jane (10/5): - Rooms, food, and staff were lovely and friendly. Everything was great, no complaints.
- Ian (9/5): No complaints - Excellent breakfast and dinner night before
- Pauline (9/5): One night stay - Comfortable, clean and quiet room. Really friendly staff and the breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant was excellent and good value for money. Convenient car park. Having moved away from Leven in my early teens ( and frequenting ' The Caley' on Saturday nights as a youngster), I was dismayed by the run down High street which is in need of a bit of tlc. The hotel itself and the location ( very near a function I was attending) was excellent however and I would certainly make the hotel a base for visiting the area again.
- Karen (7/5): - Very close to Mum so easy to visit.
Close to seafront which will be good in summer.
Staff all very friendly and helpful. Many steps and stairs to access building and rooms.
Floors creaky in some parts of hotel which can be annoying at night.
Lighting in bedroom was poor, low light levels for us.
Tried to call hotel but call goes to general switch board and is answered by AI difficult to get a response to our question.
- susan (9/5): -
- John (8/5): Lovely property with excellent staff - Incredibly friendly staff and lovely rooms. Great value for money with breakfast included. When we were there parking was difficult, but not impossible
- Susanna (8/5): Comfortable - The room, the breakfast.
- Heather (10/5): -
- Tammy (9/5): Nice. Clean and freindly hotel. Good location for access to town centre. Staff very helpful. All in all I would highly r - Great location. Freindly staff
- Stu (9/5): Would definitely return - Just suited our needs Nothing really
- Gordon (10/5): Very confortable and friendly - Excellent It was perfect
- Murphy (8/5): -
- Martin (1/5): The typical staff welcome was non- existent. It felt we were too much bother as they were locking up the Reception and l - Room was presented in a decent condition The bed was extremely uncomfortable, it felt like a cheap mattress where you could feel the springs, no lift and although booked as a double room it was stocked with refreshments for only one !!
- william (10/5): - everything
- Cameron (9/5): Welcoming and comfortable experience. - Approachable and efficient staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Ceiling light could be a bit brighter for us oldies...seemed like a 40w bulb.
- Stanley (9/5): fully satisfactory -
- Sandra (7/5): -
- William (10/5): - everything was fine thank you ☺️.
See
- Brian (10/5): Have visited few times Never disappointed Great friendly professional staff good food clean warm rooms - Great stay again
- Jorge Luis (7/5): - Comfy hotel, nice environment and kind staff.
Warm and clean room. It would be nice to have some drawers in the room furniture.
Also noticed that the bed was made by the cleaning staff, but sheets were not changed.
- Wylie (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were cleaned daily I would definitely recommend this hotel The only thing that I didn't like was there was no lift to take you upstairs
- Garry (9/5): Cozy lovely warm rooms to help relax in the area. - Rooms was lovely and warm in this climate, although with the seemingly sqeekiest floor boards ;-) Rooms were kept clean and the conveience of having a resturant attached was great. I liked it all. Although the guests were sometimes roudy. Young people of today....
- Wylie (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Very nice property, easy access and parking and very good value for money - Room was great, bed was huge and comfy and the room very warm. Breakfast was great and we used the restaurant for a meal on arrival and that was very good also. The floorboards on the corridor on the 1st floor and in our room really very creaky which was a wee bit annoying.
- Kevin (8/5): Rekaxed, comfortable stay with excellent breakfast and evening dinner menu - The superior double room i book was maybe the largest i have ever been in when travelling alone. The beds, twin doubles, were the comfiest ever.
With the additional sofa , desk and chairs in the bay window alcove it was the most spacious and welcoming room. My only negative thoughts us that there was no toilet brush in the bathroom.
- Mohammed (7/5): -
- Iurii (10/5): - They provide you and continental and usual breakfast. At the same time, you can take them both. The room had everything that hotel room should. It was the cheapest hotel in my travel, and the only one where I got a breakfast.
- Jean (10/5): I foolishly left my personal pillow behind and hotel receptionist very kindly posted it to me! - The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble and very friendly
- neil (7/5): -
- Corinne (7/5): Enjoyed Leven, central location, good food & very friendly staff - Breakfast & Dinner 1st room we were in, smelt a little - drain problem apparently. We were moved without hesitation.
- Torbjörn (6/5): -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Our stay was fine apart from the above.Cost more than places we stayed in both Edinburgh & Invernes - The breakfast was very good though the coffee wasn't hot enough. Bed was comfortable and everywhere was clean. The only downside was the noise from closing doors. The occupants of neighbouring rooms were not noisy but every time a door closed it made a loud noise and the floors were also very noisy too from creamy boards. Soft closure mechanisms on the doors would have helped.
- Colin (4/5): Customer service lacking and agreement not met - Good location Stayed on the Friday, where we had a wedding to attend. Had called and spoke to the manager a week before to arrange an early check in. Check in normally 3pm but had confirmation that our room would be marked as first room to have room service and would be turned around by 12 noon.
To give them some more time my partner arrived at 12:30 and was met with unfriendly staff and told to come back in 1 hour. When she did, she was met by a dismissive response to come back at 3pm.
Ruined our days plans and customer service was atrocious. Fully appreciate I asked for something out of the norm, but had it all confirmed and even gave them a little more leeway.
Terrible experience and my partner was extremely upset.
Very disappointed with the experience overall.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Bruno (9/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - Very comfortable bed and good food in the bar The only thing that needs updating is the bathrooms to a more modern design
- Mike (8/5): -
- Catherine (8/5): Very pleasant overnight stay at a reasonable price. Good food and friendly staff. - Food at both dinner & breakfast were excellent as they were very tasty & very hot. Room was clean & comfortable. Hot water dispenser at breakfast was luke warm but staff refilled it without any fuss. Mirror in bedroom for doing hair away from dressing tabke which was under tv and could easily be moved along to under mirror ir even half way between both.
- Cris (10/5): -
- Linda (7/5): The stay was all good apart from the shower. - The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was good, which a good selection and nice portions. The shower water pressure was terrible. We had just a dribble of water coming out. Plus the shower head was not removable. This would probably be a deal breaker for returning unfortunately. I will check if this is fixed before booking again.
- ALEX (8/5): Great location, very clean and tidy hotel with great food and bar facilities. - The room was in great shape, look newly refurbished. Breakfast great and the bar facilities were also good. Only down fall was after one person had a shower, the next persons shower got very hot and hard to control the temperature.
- Alan (9/5): -
- Vincent (10/5): Bien dormi, bien mangé - Chambre spacieuse, propre, grand lit.
- Michel (9/5): -
- dionysia (8/5): -
- Stanley (9/5): the stay was fully satisfactory, nothing to complain about. - I liked all meals. I liked quality of service the bar was sometimes overcrowded. There could have been a later breakfast service
- STEVEN (10/5): -
- fletcher (8/5): A welcome resting hole during my Fife bike tour. - Quiet and convenient. Fist drink at the bar was on the house, which was very nice of them. Nothing.
- Heather (10/5): - Room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly.
- Stanley (9/5): it was fully satisfactory - good heating in bedroom
