Guest Reviews
- Ray (9/5): Very pleasant - Location and accessibility
- Anne (10/5): Amazing - highly recommended - Pinewood Lodge is brilliant. Every little detail had been thought about to ensure we had an amazing experience. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up (which is very unusual for me)! Thank you so much for looking after us. Nothing!
- David (9/5): Great value and very happy to return in the future. -
- Jennifer (9/5): - -The view of the lake is quite serene
-Nice welcoming touches within the room; selections of coffees and teas.
Snack and light breakfast Nothing
- Emma Leak (10/5): -
- Carole (10/5): Star quality at a reasonable price - I like the rural feeling of the place.
The flexabilty of being able to arrive at a time conveniant to us n being able to check in with the key lock system.
The little extra touches. Small bathroom only drawback for my friend.
Everything was fine for me.
- Joshua (8/5): Met expectations, very fair price and a clean room. - Very fair price and a clean room. Loved that we got a fridge and a microwave.
- HARRY (7/5): -
- joe (10/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): -
- neil (8/5): Friendly welcome. - Clean and fully equipped room. Friendly welcome and nice complimentary breakfast.
- Sean (10/5): Very enjoyable, loved the room - Easy to find, very clean and tidy, very comfortable & very nice decor Nothing
- Stewart (10/5): - location is amazing but not had chance to look around as up early and late night back couldnt find any negative about the place
- Nicolae (10/5): - Relax and very quiet
- Maclean (9/5): -
- Pete (8/5): - Angela is great & very helpful. I've stayed here for 8 consecutive weeks so far as working 2 miles away. Usually in room 3,always left with some pastries & milk on a Monday when I get there in an evening. Taylor's coffee bags & Yorkshire Tea in your room so no chance of dehydration setting in. Nice and quiet location, secure parking & for the price you pay fantastic room & service. Stayed in places for more money that come with a lot less service/amenities. Nothing comes to mind.
- Marie (9/5): Great enjoyable stay in wooden area - Lovely view on a fishing lake in woodland surroundings. Not far from the main road but no traffic noise once inside the room. Roomy free car park inside the property. Great clean room with big tv, spacious bathroom and kitchen corner with microwave, plates, cutlery, cup, glass, fridge and tea making stuff. There is a Co-Op shop at 5mins drive in Ibstock and plenty of places where to eat nearby. I've loved the fact that the housekeeping is only on demand so we can have a lie in the morning with nobody who wants to get in early to clean up and force you to wake up and get ready. I've asked to have clean towels every day so they've dropped it every morning on the bench just next to my door. Very handy. A little thing that would be handy would be to have a step stool to be able to reach the window in the bathroom to open/close it when needed.
During my 1st night and despite having some earplugs on, some banging noises presumably coming from the other rooms next to mine have woke me up a few times during the night. I think that it could be improved by sticking some little Tesa tack adhesive pads on doors, chairs legs, table corners etc to reduce the noise. Had a better sleep the other nights as the people have left their room next to mine.

- Samantha (10/5): Fantastic place to stay! - The room was lovely. Shower a good size, the mugs they have are perfect for a good brew and they give you some tea and coffee with a bottle of milk in the fridge. We had a personal message from the owners greet us, ours was "Sammi and the Claires" which made us chuckle. Very thoughtful.
The fridge is a good size so we had a couple of microwave meals and snacks cold snacks.
Angela would message us when house keeping to remind us or to check if we needed it (all our group had chronic illnesses so it was very thoughtful to check with us).
Once we packed up and checked out, she sent us another lovely message which really makes it such a special touch to say thank you for staying with them and a safe journey home.
We stayed for our dubs of rock festival instead of camping. Highly recommend. There is a lake there too and beautiful to go sit on the bench in the morning with a brew. This is my own personal preference, nothing to do with the place, but if you suffer with over heating, just take a light blanket as the duvet had duck feathers in it, which was lovely but I (personally) over heat at night.
We'll hopefully be there again next year! :) 10/10
- Nia (10/5): Perfect stay - highly recommend- everything you need and more - Our return stay was faultless- the room was spotless and had everything you want and more.
Lovely quiet location and the communication from Angela was brilliant and even gave us info on local taxis to get to and from and event locally - highly recommend Spotless, great fascilitiez and lovely quiet location
- Paul (10/5): Beat accommodation I have booked for a long time. - Location is epic and the room was just what we needed, also included some nice welcome cakes etc and milk in the fridge. I would 100% book this again. The staff are also extremely helpful. Nothing I didn’t like.
- Vicki (10/5): Great place - Stayed here last year and booked again this year for an event close by, very peaceful and relaxing! Love the fish at the pond! Everything you need and even had complimentary breakfast items which was a nice touch! Would recommend here always We had no problems with anything here!
- Susan (10/5): Perfect stay - We love staying here. It's so peaceful. The rooms are beautiful. Plenty of room. The beds are extremely comfortable and large. The shower room is large and spotless. The facilities are great. Angela is the perfect host Nothing
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (9/5): Superb -
- Sean (10/5): - LOVELY AND COOKING IN MICROWAVE AVAILABLE WITH FRIDGE GREAT STUFF
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (10/5): - Lovely lodge, very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
- Christina (7/5): Really clean and comfortable, great value for money. - It was off the main road and there was parking right outside the door.
- Angela (9/5): Our "go to" place - We have stayed in various chalets in Pinewood Lodge over several years. It is always consistently spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water, warm and comfortable. It is set in a peaceful location with pleasant outlook over small carp lake..a great place to unwind.
- Mike (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable weekend and the weather made it perfect - After not being able to login to the check-in site, Angela was on hand to welcome us when we arrived. Very welcoming and informative and provided some breakfast essentials.
The room was very spacious and had everything needed for the weekend stay. The bathroom was also spacious with a walk-in shower. Guard rail in the shower as the floor was slippery when wet or a larger bath mat.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was really lovely!
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): - We stayed at Pinewood Lodge for 7 days split over 2 weeks. The area was lovely , very quiet. There is a number of lodges , each having everything you need from a fridge to a microwave, fresh clean towels and bedding, breakfast croissants were provided which was a nice touch and also some milk- again lovely touch.
The beds were fine - slightly uncomfortable, however, given the amount of people who sleep on them this i guess is a given at times.
Heating was great, easy to increase or decrease to suite what you need.
Would stay again if visiting the area.
- Jocelyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neville (8/5): Room 2 - The host had left a letter welcoming myself and my wife along with complimentary breakfast bits, it was a nice touch. Room was nice and clean and the little fishing lake on site was being used and fun to see people pulling fish out of. Everything was ok 👍🏻
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jazz (10/5): Budget friendly and clean. - Good stay at Pinewood. Checkin and accessing the room as trouble-free and painless. The room and bathroom were in good order and more importantly clean. Parking was easy, right outside, so loading my gear out and back into the car was effortless.
Food wise, there are plenty of places that will deliver. Having a fridge and microwave was handy for heating up quick snacks.
Overall, would recommend Pinewood Lodge.
- Eden (6/5): Pleasant -
- Katie (10/5): So peaceful, just what we needed - Absolutely lovely place. Loved having the lake outside the window, so peaceful. Very welcoming staff. Perfect place to stay especially with your dog.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - Fresh coffee, bag of pastries, milk ,cider, and wine provided made a welcoming start to a lovely stay.Very comfortable beds..hosts quick to respond to requests and very helpful.
- Michael (10/5): A lovely place to lay your head. - Easy to find and to park at. Outside of town so quiet (And with owls nearby, bonus!). Clean and warm. Large shower. Cutlery, crockery, and seating for two plus a microwave and fridge. Good quality takeaways within easy driving distance (And easy to park near.). Hosts very communicative but not intrusive.
In decent weather I'm sure it would be lovely to sit outside as there is a large pond and seating.
For walkers, it is on a major route and there is a heritage railway ("The Battlefield Line") within easy walking distance that has a cafe that serves proper bacon sandwiches, savoury rolls that will take you back to the '70s (in a good way), and very nice homemade cake. Nothing.
- Igor (10/5): Great stay -
- Malcolm (10/5): Excellent as always - Always clean and comfortable and it was nice to see the heating was on when we arrived. A good food delivery service from 'Sunshine' in Ibstock was welcome after a long drive and not feeling like going out again. Need to be careful when exiting the property and turning left onto the A447 if heading towards Leicester. It is a fast road and a blind corner. There isn't anything Pinewood Lodge can do about this though. We sometimes turn right out of the property on Overton Rd and head into Ibstock, do a loop around and join the A447 further up. Takes a little longer, but safer.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - great location nothing
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (9/5): Superb - owners were very helpful giving me plenty of information
bed was very comfy and lodge was gorgeous we loved the walk in shower and the little treats owners had left for us.
- Jonathan (10/5): Clean, comfortable and peaceful - I have stayed here before and already booked my next stay. Great rooms, excellent facilities and most importantly, excluded and so quiet. A good night’s sleep is so important and everything about this place allows it. Great communication from host and lovely grounds Nothing negative about my stay
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Close distance to my office. Peaceful area. Short distance to shops and takeaways. Fridge and microwave Rugs on the floor. Wooden floor was slippy
- Katherine (10/5): Amazing ! - Absolutely fantastic!
The location is absolutely stunning. The rooms were Immaculate and so many personal touches. Had everything we needed. It was so clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. Absolutely loved it. Will definitely be returning.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely nothing
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and quiet.
- Gary (9/5): Superb - Great little place to stay! Large comfy bed, large digital TV, large shower / bathroom. Bonus with having counter top fridge and microwave and some cutlery! , made my working away stay so much easier. Looking forward to the next stay there! Was all good!
- Kavanagh (9/5): Superb - Fridge a little noisy during the night
- Steve (10/5): Lovely relaxing accommodation - well equipped chalet - Plenty of parking-lots of nice touches Some noisy neighbours going to work at 1am-not the fault of the owners!
- Hayley (8/5): Very good -
- Philip (8/5): good and Quiet - every thing beds to small in length
- Malcolm (10/5): Perfect, we will return. - Everything we could need. Nothing.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (10/5): Wish I had stayed for longer! - The location was fantastic, so peaceful and quiet.
The room was large and well equipped, everything was spotless, I was staying for business but would stay here for pleasure. I didn't have breakfast as I don't eat it. Wished I was staying for longer. The hosts give fantastic detail and recommendations for places to eat etc. I could not fault it. nothing to dislike
- Chelsea (8/5): Lovely place, clean rooms and great value - Clean property
Very easy check in/check out process
Friendly staff
Comfortable bed
Lots of good facilities in the room Was a metal frame bed so every time you moved slightly or turned over in bed, it was noisy but very comfortable.
- Ann (6/5): Served its purpose for visiting relatives in Market Bosworth. - Shower Nothing
- Stacey (9/5): Superb - A lovely peaceful 2 night stay. Spent most of the day sat watching the dragonflies around the pond.
The bed was really comfortable and the shower was excellent. Fantastic host who provided everything we needed for our stay. There wasn't anything we didn't like.
- Jamie (10/5): Great stay - Love the little pond across from our room watching the fish! Room was nice and spaceful. Everything you need in room fridge was handy! Not far from town for food or shops. Easy and quick to get to our location we were going to! Would definitely recommend
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (8/5): Great value for money. Would stay again. - Everything. Room was fab. Had what we needed for our stay Nothing
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. Beautiful surroundings. Stunning room. Angela is lovely. Breakfast was great, not what we normally have but it was delicious. Delicious coffee and Yorkshire teabags. We are definitely coming back soon Nothing except the hedge at the driveway obscured the exit as you can't see what's coming from the left but everything else was perfect.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -

- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and quiet location, rooms were very good highly recommend this place
- Mark (10/5): Perfik - Completely out of your hands .. the blind corner on exit to the main road is an accident waiting to happen … only suggestion is a round oval mirror opposite the exit to assist in a view to the traffic coming from the right / blind corner … is the only thing you could try ( it’s not your fault how the roads are laid out .. and a mirror is the only thing I can think of to reasure your guest a safer exit .. we have them all over espeacialy on exit from driveways … but I don’t recall seeing not one on travel's to and from and around in a 10-15 mile while staying … bar that … perfik
- Leigh (10/5): Lovely stay clean and comfortable. Lovely place - Everything you needed and more. Lovely tea coffee and fresh milk. Cake biscuits also.
Lovely comfy bed. Nothing
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent stay, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water. Highly recommend
- Nd100 (10/5): Great stay. - Clean and comfortable with a fantastic bathroom. Nothing.
- Dobo56 (9/5): Lovely stay - Lovely location. Room spotless. Bed was a little too soft for us but that's a personal thing. Not enough pillows and no spares as stated. Mats in bathroom slipped when stood on.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (9/5): Superb -
- Antonia (10/5): Absolutely perfect - The location was perfect, the lodge was immaculate and had everything needed for a short stay, if I am ever in the location again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at pinewood lodge again.

- Leanne (10/5): Beautiful clean room with a shower room to die for! - The property is beautiful & set right by their own fishing lake. It is a bit of a drive out down the country lanes but worth it.
- Brent (7/5): Great find, very quiet, location was good for us - Fixtures and fittings of good quality with a very nice large shower, good to have a fridge in the room, with table and chairs to eat at. Nice and warm with controllable central heating Bed was a good size but did creak a bit when tossing and turning in the night mainly due to outside lights on all night.
- Nitoi-parris (10/5): Exceptional -

- Anonymous (10/5): Perfect, clean, warm, cosy and calm. Thank you! - Hidden gem. My partner and I were looking for a quiet getaway before the chaos of Christmas and I can safely say that Pinewood Lodge was exactly what we were after and more. The owner was absolutely lovely and super helpful. She was so organised and welcoming. The room itself was perfect. The cleanest accommodation we have ever stayed in with a lovely continental breakfast in the room. Although we just wanted to relax there was a really helpful booklet with fun things to do nearby. The bed was so comfortable and warm and the shower was excellent. Can’t recommend this place enough and thank you Angela for doing everything in your power to
make us feel comfortable, welcomed and relaxed. Nothing!!
- Christopher (10/5): I have stayed there for four weeks in total and it is just brilliant. - The rooms are well equipped and very very clean. The place is just all round good. The location is quiet and close to Coalville. I cannot fault the place, the room, everything about it. A nice large shower. Very comfortable indeed. Angela is very nice and has sorted me out twice now having locked my keys inside the room. Nothing
- Neil (4/5): Disappointing - Not much Very noisy radiator thermostat limited sleep ..
Room smelt of bad drains
- David (6/5): Pleasant - Location was ideal, with excellent parking. The heating was totally inadequate. The bedroom was very cold, the shower had a small radiator, very high on the wall, that did not heat the room. I did not see anyone from the accommodation during my overnight stay
