• Steven (6/5): - Stayed in their executive suite for few days. Location is central, accessible. Breakfast buffet very good and delicious. But the room looks very outdated, air conditioning is very loud. Me and my partner had to turn it off just so we can hear each other talking. We could also hear the jeepneys and vehicles outside -day and night. Water in the shower does not go warm enough. Limescales visible all over the bathroom. We can hear the room attendants chatter from our suite.
• Minerva (4/5): Location - yes. Overall comfort - NO. - Second time to stay and again underwhelmed. The room we got had no windows, there was a kettle with 2 cups and saucers but no coffee or tea, no face towels, no facial tissue, we had to ask for hand towels, there’s what appears to be water damage to the floor near the bathroom, hallways always dark during the day, we had to pay a deposit to get a second room card, the elevator buttons are frustrating to use. The only improvements from the last time were the wifi connection and the water heater in the bathroom. Yes the location is great as it is downtown but its flaws leave you disappointed. This property needs updating and improvements in the way they provide comfort for the guests.

• Heidi (6/5): - The property is clean but not to my standards. Unit needs renovation especially the bathroom. Noisy because it’s in a commercial area. Once you leave the room, the AC is turned off. When you return the room is hot & needs time to get cool by the AC. Staff are very pleasant, & helpful. Reception desk didn’t orient us there is a “ make up room” switch you have to turn on. Emergency didn’t know do our room was not cleaned for that day. I was very disappointed. The one I like is the breakfast with yummy Filipino dishes.

Main complain is broken showerhead and there's always puddle of water inside shower. If I can only get a refund. The place is not worth the price I paid. Not coming back.

There is a night market just outside the hotel, so that does add some noise and traffic (but great food options). The breakfast is a mix of plated main entrees and buffet sides.

• Gregory (8/5): Not bad - staff was the highlight. - Location was perfect for what we needed. Staff was incredibly friendly and quick to respond to any needs. Breakfast buffet was good, not great but I don’t expect it to be anything other than what it was. Chinese Restaurant on 2nd Floor was a great place for lunch and dinner with a wide selection of delicious food in their menu. The only down part - cockroach got caught in the in-room hot water pot (pour spout) so we passed on making any morning coffee.

Our online reservation record wasn't updated on their end, so we had the time to clarify. We came from a far place, with children and an elderly so and we were tired. So we really would've appreciate it if we didn't have to deal with these things.
• Lester (8/5): - My overall stay is good. Staff is very friend and they're easy to reach out to. The only issue is the WiFi service is down. I was advised that it will be up by 7 PM but it is still not working. They provided another WiFi to connect to but I guess there's too many people using the WiFi since I am unable to connect. That's the only issue. The rest of my experience is really good. Looking forward to stay again at the hotel.

• Camper778756 (4/5): Horrible experience - Booked hotel for 6 nights. On the second day, the toilet was clogged and I asked front desk to send someone to fix it. We didn’t plan to sleep there that night and we came back the following day with water outside the bathroom and toilet still not fixed. I had to demand to be transferred to another room which they did after I made a big deal about it. Hotel refused to make any other accommodation for their inefficiency.

• artfrommanila (6/5): Central Location - An overnight stop on way home from our trip to Quezon Province. Nice Hotel and good location.. The Hotel has basement parking a very good asset. Room was ok but although on 5th floor it was noisy due to passing traffic below. Aircon was also very noisy. The restaurant serves mainly Chinese Cuisine so we had dinner elsewhere. Breakfast was buffet style and very limited choice (8.30 am) when we were there. The Staff we encountered were efficient and friendly. Overall our visit was ok and the +'s more than offset the - 's

• attyn (4/5): Great 301 Room but terrible costumer service - We stayed at the hotel from August 24 to 27, 2019. With the exception of one receptionist, all hotel staff terribly need to learn about customer service. 1st night, we stayed at Room 401. It was old and needs few renovation and cleaning. Our 2nd and 3rd night was at Room 301. The good receptionist informed us that it is a very good room because it is newly renovated. First two days’ buffet breakfast was plain. I even saw a small cockroach inside the pineapple juice pitcher. Third day breakfast is ala carte. All restaurant staff NEEEDS TO BE TAUGHT WHAT AT LEAST GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE MEAN. Reason being, they do not pause to talk with me to answer about my inquiry about the juice. There was loud music playing that gave an ambiance of a cheap hotel. I know for a fact that this is not a four or five star rated hotel. But still, all staff must act like they are working in a hotel and not just regular fastfood place.
• TopNotchHongKong (6/5): RE: Queen Margette Hotel Downtown - We were travelling to the Lucena Provinces and we found Queen Margrette Hotel. No 5 star hotels here. So we had to find what was considered the better ones available. We originally chose the one outside of town, but the check in desk staff was not very friendly so decided to choose the one downtown of which the staff were super great! A decent hotel with some food offering i.e. a Chinese Resturant. It's fairly basic like a Travelodge in the UK. Decor is also decent and not as old as the one outside of town. Rooms were okay. Basic but our AC was quite noisy and bathroom had some sewer smells coming through. One of our other rooms had no windows...... It's right smack back down in the middle of town! There is a Mall called SM Mall nearby. Overall for somewhere to call 'base' it was acceptable.
• tinamK6304AW (2/5): Wouldn’t recommend - Our family booked this hotel for us Queen Margarette Downtown because its close to them. We stayed in room 423, my husband and I and our 7 month old daughter. Firstly, the room had no window - it felt like a coffin. It was horrible. The bathroom shower water pressure was the worst I have ever come across in my travels. It was so bad, I had to wait until we transferred to our hotel in Makati to wash my hair. It would have basically been impossible. This hotel overcharges for everything. There is 3 of us in the room and only 2 towels provided. They charged us for the extra towel we needed to bathe my daughter and the hand towels that weren’t supplied at check in. They said we could use the pool facilities at the sister hotel Queen Margarette Domoit. However, we had to pay to use the pool, the tables and chairs next to the pool and towels again for the pool. It was ridiculous. There was also no shuttle service between hotels. Overall, I found this lacked the basic facilities that a hotel requires and the customer service was hopeless.

• rainiel06 (2/5): Slow Service - If you guys want to check in at this hotel let me just tell you my experience because to be honest this hotel I think has the slowest service and the most annoying service I think. I dont blame them because i dont know if this hotel has stars or what. Its just annoying that I called for something at the front office and what they tell me is that the staff or what im requesting is on the way but really it took them like 30 mins for like my request to be done. Like im always calling them checking in on my request but what they always say is their staff is on the way it's just so annoying that what their staff is so slow service when it comes to their guest. And also during night time while talking to their guest i notice that the staff is playing on his mobile phone. I mean the room and everything is okay but the service on the FNB is so damn annoying. So I hope this review will be read by the management.

• richarddQ657KI (4/5): Thought it would be better - I havw stayed in the original, old Queen Margareth Hotel before. So after 3 years, i had to go back to lucena, I was glad to hear that there is a new one in the heart of the city. As usual I called for a reservation and I opted for a Junior Suite... Lo and behold when I got there I fi d out that Junior Suite os right smack in the middle of the hotel. Good? Nope. The room was a long rectangle. When you open the door you come face to face with an open closet and the door to the bath room. Oh and the room had no windows whatsoever. It is like being cooped up in a closed box. No cell signal, no internet. I had to transfer to another room. Smaller, a bit better. But unlike other hotels, no free water, no ref but the window os a definite plus.
• Mara (4/5): So So - Been here thrice as place is strategic. Near fast food chains and sm lucena. Room is a bit small and aircon has not always been in good condition everytime we go here. Ataff was very accomodating during our check in as she allowed us to occupy our room an hour earlier since we arrived early.
• adriancolborne (6/5): The Marketing info is a lie - The location and value for money is fine but what a mess of a hotel. Old reception on the 4th floor, breakfast on the 2nd floor and building work to office conversion on the 3rd. That only leaves the 5th floor where we stayed. The room was of good size but the street noise went on 24/7. I don't know if there is a maintenance department but we counted 12 faults with our room to include door chain lock missing, plate in door flame missing a screw so latching the door closed was a problem. The bathroom sink was hanging off the wall, shower head calcified, no plunger knob to change the flow from shower to faucet, toilet roll holder hanging at 30deg from the horizontal, big gap in the floorboards from bathroom to hallway. All this plus bedroom faults. Breakfast was always cold and despite a previous revue, the heaters under the food were not used the whole week we stayed. The table cloths in the breakfast room were never changed so the coffee are was black with ants running through it. Staff were pleasant and security were always there to greet us and open the door.

• Peterxftrfgts54463 (2/5): Service was terrible and cannot recommend - Booking a family stayover online was easy but once we arrived we find that the room they advertise is not suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids as it has only 1 bed. Negotiated an upgrade at extra expense which was not pleasant. The upgrade was supposed to include breakfast but they excluded the kids, had to pay extra again! The room was in poor condition and when we asked for extra towels (the room only had 2) we were informed that this was also extra. No fridge, tea/coffee making in room and the elevator regularly failed. This was a complete failure of a stay and when discussed with the staff they had no interest in making our stay any better. Awful place!!
• Katerina (6/5): Will not stay here again - The room that this hotel assigned to me was not in good condition. The ceiling was rotting, some of the floor boards are no longer attached to the floor, and the wall paper have been peeling off. The air conditioner unit doesn't cool the room and only makes loud noise. The water in the shower stops while in use. The window was fake (does not look to the outside but to some sort of utility area). Sure, the people are very nice, and the lobby makes a good first impression. However, my room was not a good one.

• Ledenita (6/5): Stay was comfortable - Location is in downtown and ideal for travelers who would like to stay close by to restaurants, stores and transportation. Breakfast is good with western and local foods. Stay was comfortable.
• chrisbC25QB (4/5): Very Basic - We stayed here for three nights whilst visiting family in the area. The hotel was very basic and old fashioned. Unfortunately the room we had didnt have a window and therefore was rather dull. The aircon unit seemed quite old fashioned and rather noisy. Although on a positive note the Wifi was very good! There were some good views from 360 floor across Lucena! The breakfast on the first morning was freshly made and was delicious, however on the next two mornings was a buffet style breakfast. Whilst there was a good food selection some of the food had clearly been there for a while and turned cold (even though they had heaters underneath) my advice would be to get to the breakfast as early as possible! The staff were friendly throughout our stay, there seemed to be some renovation work taking place on the lower floor levels so hopefully there will be some more updated rooms available in the future. That said, in other travelers pictures on this site the rooms looked of a better quality so it may just have been poor luck.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Okay for a quick stay only - It was our 2nd time to stay at this hotel, 1st stay was ok but our 2nd time is not that nice with regards to facilities. Even if I place a note on my booking to book us with a queen bed, we were given two separate solo bed. The toilet in our room is clogged, does not flush properly. The aircon leaks water causing a little flood in the room. Since were staying overnight only, we decided not to report the incident but instead put a review. Location is good as it's in the center of the city. Breakfast was okay, especially the longganisa. I hope the owner/manager checks their facilities and atleast have a monthly maintenance to preserve the hotel. I hope they do something with the issues
• Verified traveler (4/5): Dissapointef - Upoj check-in, they cannot find the reservatiion though it was confirmed and paid. Room was reserve for 4 people and was charged for additional person but towels given were only two. Room A/C was very noisy.

• 94joeyb (6/5): A nice hotel in town - This is my 2nd fave hotel in Lucena. Clean facility and rooms. Good room rate. Underground Parking. Downside for me here are that most rooms do not have windows. Only Executive, Bridal and Family Suites have minibar. Lower rooms do not have one. Lounge is a bit dark. Cabinet do not have hanger rod but they put one on mine when I requested. Breakfast is on buffet when they have a lot of guest but plated when they only have few They Also have a bigger branch along the diversion road.
• katkat37 (8/5): overnight business trip - I usually go to Lucena twice a month and in past visit, I decided to stay at this hotel. This hotel is the one located near the city-- near downtown. I was greeted by the friendly staff as soon as I arrived at the reception area. I purchased the room worth 2500 pesos. My room was clean, and I love the free toiletries. They are attentive specially when I asked for help in the television. The price is a bit expensive but i can say that it is worth it.
• msnurse (4/5): not worth it. - I chose this hotel since it's the newest in Lucena unfortunately there's not much to choose from. Since my in laws are visiting our town I decided to have them stay here. First the hotel itself is ont he top floor. When we checked in the hallways were hot the ac was off or something. Front desk person is not so friendly very short and look annoyed maybe because it's was hot. Time to pick the room....what a disaster. ALL OF THE ROOM had bad angle. it's noisy from the street and the room that is quiet there was no window. the back rooms had bad view of the wall next door. So again no other choice but the front rooms..a bit bigger but like i said NOISY!! No parking ...so when you are unloading you kind of have to rush to get out of your vehicle. Just inconvenient all around. Restaurant is overated and overprice. I might just have to go back to Diamond Resort
• 964allanv (6/5): Function rooms are... Functional Haha! - Our company has picked downtown twice for our Christmas party. Previously, it was Queen in Bocohan but since this one is strategically located at the center of the city, it makes sense to book the event here. Food is between fine and okay. If you are local here in Lucena, you'll know what I mean. Queen Margaret seems do not improve the taste of their food. I might be biased because I only have tasted menus they offered to large group. Not sure if it holds the same for a bit expensive choices. Underground parking is horrible and limited. I had a bad experience there the first time I tried parking at the basement. I went down and searched for the free slot that the attendant said unoccupied. I turned right but found none. I noticed that a second car went down and turned left and found a free space. I though it's just a miscommunication so I back up and expected my free parking spot at the left side but there's none.
• Thomas_5162 (4/5): Going Downhill - Badly managed and lousy maintenance let this hotel gone downhill. Hotel front desk reception on 4th floor was not properly light and have no AC or they don't open it to save cost. Room on the 5th floor were infested by cockroaches so change to 4th floor. Room looks old and gave a dirty feel. Management do nothing to improve the window insulation so you still heard everything from the street. Good part of the stayed were the front desk staff, checking in and out were fast, hot shower was hot and buffet breakfast was simple but excellent. Still at almost 2500 Pesos a night was overpriced.
• 561khaleda (2/5): Worst Hotel experience ever - I am an avid traveler and I been to different hotels in in my life, but so far this is the worst. My booking is for 3 people and it is clearly stated in the confirmation 3 adults with breakfast, First they wanted to charge me for the 3rd person and after a 30 minutes discussion they acknowledged that my reservation for 3 people means 2 beds. The fact is they had no free rooms with 2 beds. So they gave me an upgrade to a junior suite. Now they refused to give breakfast voucher for 3 they told I have to pay for the 3rd one. I told them now way the guy said he will speak to his supervisor and he will call me. After 7 hours and around 10 Pm someone calls me and tell me that I have to pay for the 3rd person extra bed charge and his breakfast or they will send the security to kick me out of the room. Extremely very very rude behavior Espically I had my one month old son with me. I went to the receptionist and I kept shouting until they put me over the phone with the Manger. The Manger acknowledged the problem but still failed to get us an apology for the very rude treatment.

• MrsTinArang (8/5): A quiet place in the city.. - Me, my husband and my grandma stayed here last on the last week of November. It's my first time in Lucena and I was amazed that there is this nice hotel right in the middle of a busy downtown area. Queen Margarette Hotel is generally good especially the rooms. Space is enough, beds are nice, comfy and clean, furniture and fixtures are also nice. The bathroom is spacious and clean. They offer a generous buffet breakfast which is really nice. One thing i think that needs a little improvement is their frontliner's hospitality and handling of customers. A little more politeness will do. On the other hand, their housekeeping guys and parking attendant/guard are really nice. Overall, this is one to recommend.
