• Nielioan (4/5): nit queenly at all - been meaning to review this hotel since the last time i came. it always slipped my mind. it was that unmemorable. for the design, it is antiquated. for the location, it is quite hard to find. for the service, it's obvious the staff skipped training. the food? get them elsewhere. there are other hotels nearby. we were billeted here not of our own volition. our hosts chose this hotel for us...
• H7928SNguillermoa (4/5): I wish I never booked in Queen Margarette - I searched for two rooms with two twin beds each and found the Queen Margarette in Dumoit. Upon arrival I was told that the room was only good for one person per room and that my only choice was to pay for the upgraded deluxe room with a view that included breakfast. So I paid up and when we got into the room the view was overlooking the Emerald Garden restaurant so we can not open our curtains and expose ourselves to people eating in the restaurant! To make matters worse the music in the restaurant played on quite loudly past 10 pm. Saying that it’s a deluxe room is laughable. The bathroom is quite shabby too, the grout was moldy and mildewed in some places. Some parts had cracks on grout and the vanity was sort of falling apart underneath. The shower curtain definitely should be replaced. The towels were not clean, white and fresh looking. They also need to be replaced. Breakfast Friday was plated and not worth the P495 value that they seem to think it’s worth. The following day they did have a buffet breakfast because they admitted that there were enough people checked in that they cooked more food. Our driver’s room was equally pathetic and noisy too. Mating cats sang their love song all night long. To top off the poor experience, I realized that I got ripped off because the room rate displayed for our room was only P2,499 per night and I was charged P3,150 on top of the $107 I paid online. When I complained about it the attitude was basically “Sorry for the miscommunication but there’s nothing we can do. We will discuss it with the staff”. However, I learned that a friend had a similar bad experience the year before and she also complained about it. Obviously, they didn’t do anything to improve the place or guest experience. Maybe it’s true that people don’t have much choice of hotels in Lucena but they shouldn’t rip people off. Anyway, I don’t think anyone else should suffer a couple of nights listening to cats caterwauling or nonstop music in a room with a “view” of a restaurant sold as a “deluxe” room. I hope that realize that they are in the hospitality business and we expect a certain standard of cleanliness, quality and comfort
• Aleli (2/5): - Traveled with seniors and this property was not “senior friendly”. Mold in rooms including bathroom which were in need of updates. Staff was trying to be helpful but they had limited resources. Disappointing especially since we expected a comparable decent experience as QM in Downtown Lucena.

Plaster coming off the walls Blood stain on bathroom floor Part off door frame missing from bathroom door Bad odour from bed Air con very noisy In general room looked dated and very poorly maintained. Breakfast. Food stone cold staff didn't even try to keep it warm. It was unedible. Wall paper black with mold under air-conditioning and peeling off the wall. Staff There are a lot of staff doing very little. The only one we found helpful was the guard who assisted with our luggage and parking.
• gmaano (2/5): Disgusting hotel - dont believe what the website says - Please do yourself a favour - do not stay in this hotel! It advertises itself a "an exquisite taste of royalty in a boast of queenly recreational sensation right in the southern part of Luzon. Your vacation will surely expunge your worries of being away from home".... well guess what? It embarassed me to have brought my Australian friend to stay in this hotel! There was no hot water - and even the plumber cannot fix and apologies is not enough! They offered me to use hot water from kettle and a bucket... I should just have stayed home in my home village in that case. Truly embarassing hotel - no quality standard at all! Asked to speak to the Manager - cannot be found, asked us to wait! Unbelievable.

• 187glendad (2/5): honest review please - there was nice reviews for this hotel in other booking sites . I wasnt expecting much because after all this is not from a well known province with popular tourist spots. Just stayed here for a family event . We were given a room on the old building and gosh its a good thing I brought my own pillow case and blankets. Bath tub was leaking and towels are old and has holes . The bed was hard but I think I was able to sleep a little because I was too exhausted to complain and demand a transfer. The security was very lax everybody can just come and go. At least breakfast is decent . My parents from the next room says their bed smells like the bedsheet was not changed. Better stay in a new hotel along the same road for less hassle .
• E5481DEstephens (2/5): A Horror! - The W O R S T E V E R. This hotel was filthy. The entire place is in disrepair. The walls were filthy, the floors Washington, there was no shower curtain, the water took 15 minutes to get hot and we could not survive more than one night. We were happy to run away from this hotel and find a real hotel up the road. When we asked for our money back they offered us an upgrade. Upgrade from horrible is still horrible… Keep the money, no thanks. Do you have other options in the areas such as hotel Rosita which is clean and roughly the same amount of money. You don’t have to stay in this type of Turkish prison surrounding. The front staff was rude and arrogant and dismissive. I am happy never ever to go back to this hotel. I would suggest to anyone that wants to have a good night rest not to go to this disgusting, horrible place.

Should use disinfectant to make it brilliantly clean. When you shower , the water leaks to the side of the bath then to the floor. Toilet tissue holder not shiny. No hot water. Over all i am disappointed. Ome on QMHOTEL do something. Didn't took any picture i don't have a camera phone.

• Jayford Anthony (8/5): People Making a Difference - A diamond in the rough! Looks old but the service is simply awesome! There was a hiccup w/ the check-in because it should be 2pm but I explained that I sent an email and mentioned we’ll be early. They accommodated my request. The night crew for dinner was great! They accommodated us and took care of our requests. The breakfast stub was for 2 even if we booked for 3, and they had it changed, accordingly. The spa services is a must have when you visit the hotel. Very accommodating and nice people plus the amenities are better than most spas I have been in Manila. This is a classic example of people making a difference in your hotel experience. Keep it up!

The staffs are amazing and super accomodating especially the housekeeping staffs and the staff in the restaurants. Happy fun stay at the pool!!

• arlene_108 (6/5): Ok for a night's stay - The hotel is located at the back of tje function area. Stayed for a night in a deluxe room with 2 single beds. It fit 2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 and 12. Beds a bit hard for our liking but had a well rested sleep just the same. Did not quite enjoy the buffet breakfast with very limited choices and food were not warm... Staff are very nice and helpful 😊

Although they were doing some works inside the hotel the rooms were nice and clean. We went to the restaurant and had some lunch. The food were delicious. I also liked the spaciousness of the rooms, the cable channels (lots of choices), and the staff. I think the property needs a major overhaul especially in the dining area. At first the water heater was not working but the housekeeping personnel attended to it immediately. My children liked the pool although were not able to use it since the rain was hard. • 998franciss (8/5): Good place to stop and sleep while on a roadtrip - I decided to spend the night here. Took a standard room for Php 1200. I got a small single room. Bed was comfty and slept well. It was very clean. Had a strong split type airconditioner. With flat screen tv. And warm water and clean toillette. Breakfast buffet was good especially the "Langgonisang Lucban" . Not too many choices though. The lobby was decorated in a pseudo european look. They offer massage service for 600. You can smell coconut at the parking because of the Copra bussiness on the neighboring lot.
• rence2018 (6/5): Average room - Accomodating staff but the place is We stayed in Domoit Diversion Road in Lucena City and i found it kinda bit far to the city proper.We hired the hotel van in going to nearby towns and it is expensive. Going to the mall is inconvenient coz we have to wait for the public utility vehicle to passed by in front of the hotel. Dining room is not air conditioned. I would give a high regards with the customer service. The room we stayed was average, bed is comfy to sleep on. Over all, we still enjoyed our stay.

• 159wilmac (6/5): Recommend - Although the Queen Margaret is not a 5 star hotel. I still rate it as 3.75 stars given it is located in the province. It is clean, very good service, food is good. I recommend this hotel to those who want the comfort of home. We rented the king bed with a living room and dining area. There is a pool but not maintained. There’s a jacuzzi n the en suite but water not adequate flow to fill it. Overall it was a good stay for us.
• azelad (4/5): Direly in need of a renovation - The restroom is smelly. Even the room itself smells like solignum ( chemical ised to treat termites) The bed was not comfortable and has stains. Nothing spectacular about the breakfast buffet. Quite pricey.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Probably best hotel in Lucena, but... - Rooms were clean, staff was very nice, breakfast was good and our overall stay was pleasant. Unfortunately it is the little things that stick in your mind. Parking is always questionable...if they have a party at their facilities next door, it is a mess. Hot water...it comes and goes so you never really know what the shower will be like. Towels...they charged extra for hand and face towels. Not a big thing but when paying for a room, you kind of expect that more than a bath towel comes in the deal. The smell of copra permeates the area. Probably not much they can do about that and it certainly could be a worse smell, but you should expect it. Ok...these are all little things and we will stay there in future years. Oh yeah, the pool is great.
• katrinloumagos (8/5): Comfortable for an overnight stay - Had an overnight stay here (one of our stops on a land trip fun from Metro Manila to Mindanao). Checked in very late in the evening with no reservations. Good thing the hotel was able to accommodate our family (5 pax). The hotel has a secured parking lot. We needed one because we had things at the back of a pickup truck. I love their victorian/vintage inspired interiors with all the chandeliers and wallpapers inside the rooms! If you love victorian style, you will like it here. My uncle tried their spa during our stay and he was satisfied. Didn’t have time to eat breakfast because we checked out early in the morning.

Twin room has limited space. No mini bar. No hair conditioner only shampoo. No toothpaste only toothbrush.

Although it says only 11 miles to Villa Escudero, be ready for heavy traffic going there. Otherwise, stay was pleasant. Staff was nice and attentive. Bed sheets could've been better. Breakfast options could've been better too. Overall I got my money's worth. If you can afford to go for the Margarette Suite, do get it!

• Peterxftrfgts54463 (6/5): Reasonable holiday destination - Although the decor is very dated and needs to be changed the stay was OK. Room cleanliness is OK but the absence of in room coffee and mini-bar seems strange. Booked a middle level room and was spacious enough. No in room guides either. Overall the stay was OK and if I go back to Lucena will probably stay there again. Do not use an online booking system (Expedia, Hotel.com etc). They are a rip off and is much better to contact the hotel direct.

• tintin1207 (8/5): Home in Lucena City in Early July - Cons: 1) Noisy Air conditioning - For the first night I relied on noise cancelling head ear buds to drown the sound. 2) Non working elevator - particularly inconvenient if your room was on the third floor and you were tired from walking all day. 3) No Menus/ Kimsuy Restaurant - The trouble with the room service is that they don't provide you a menu of what they serve so I had to go downstairs to see their menus then make an order. Then when I received the order the consistency of the food did not match one from a fine dining restaurant Other Tips: Unfortunately it is not safe to drink from the tap water if you are thirsty - which we were since it was quite humid and hot during our trip. Even though they do provide daily complimentary water the bottles are small and is not enough for daily needs. Therefore buy your own distilled/ Mineral water to keep hydrated if you are staying in the room for a long period of time Pros: (Addressing the Cons) 1) Despite the noisy air conditioning at least it was effective and controllable 2) Despite the lack of elevator the porters were ridiculously fast in bringing luggage up and down. 3) KimSuy Restaurant; Even though the food tasted weird during room service it actually tasted amazing when we dined in the actual restaurant itself (Other Pros) 1) Good Service from the front desk, house keeping café staff and were very responsive and thoughtful when I was asking questions or needed some service. 2) Pretty view of the mountain from the hotel window 3) Delicious breakfast 4) Good Amenities, the fridge wasn't particularly big if that matters to you. 5) Housekeeping 3.5 - The room itself was cleaned well when you go out and never smelled, however I noticed that they did not change the linens even when asked which is why I gave them a lowered rating
• gordon183 (6/5): 2 Different stays June 2017 - Our 1 st stay was nice,Front desk Pleasant,room was nice,our 2 nd stay on 2 nd floor problems with Hot water every day and switched rooms.There is a nice Karoke bar Front of hotel,food we ordered was OK.The down side to this area Very few places to eat.We ate at Shakeys a short walk away.Crossing the highway was a challenge due to the traffic.Only trycycle available to go into town and a possible 20 minute commute each way
• 480buffym (6/5): Good hotel coz its the only one in the area - Good hotel coz its the only one in the area, all the others in the area are just motels. I appreciate the hotel for upgrading its facilities. Stayed in the junior suite room which is spacious and very clean with clean beddings and towels and restroom. Staff is great, hotel lobby is great. Only downside is the dirty pool. I hope they clean it. Breakfast is buffet style (not sure if everyday is buffet style) with good choices of food and there's even Nutella served (not sure if its served everyday or just because there were a lot of foreign guests during my stay). Value for money? I cannot say that coz they did not give us a corporate discount when we asked for it. To think we did not even consume the 24hrs since were on a business trip. Wifi is poor. Overall good experience
• tina (8/5): Very peaceful & relaxing hotel. - This hotel is easy access to everything, from sightseeing, to great resort/ restaurants, malls, etc. The best part is it's so relaxing, quiet & so peaceful in this hotel after a whole day outings. The staff are very friendly, courteous, accommodating, & pays attention to the guests' needs. The hotel is a little outdated but very clean. The Filipino breakfast buffet is amazingly delicious, one of the best experiences of this trip. I wish they can provide rental cars for those out of town/ country guests.

• STANLEY (2/5): A HOTEL FROM HELL - CHANGED ROOM 1ST NIGHT DUE TO COCKROACHES AND TOILET NOT FLUSHING,A MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM WAS NO DIFFERENT TO FIRST ROOM.I BOOKED OUT 3 DAYS EARLY BECAUSE OF THE BREAKFAST WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.NO CEREALS,NO FRESH MILK FOR COFFEE.BUFFET FOOD CONTAINERS DID NOT HAVE ANY HEATING THUS COLD FOOD,OFTEN THERE WAS NO CROCKERY,BREAD,HOT COFFEE.I GAVE HOTEL SEVERAL DAYS NOTICE I WAS BOOKING OUT AND WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE NO REFUND FOR THE 3 DAYS NOT USED,BUT A PROMISE OF A GIFT CARD TO USE THE 3 DAYS I DID NOT STAY AND TOLD I COULD USE THE GIFT CARD TO STAY FOR THE 3 DAYS,BUT ON BOOKING OUT I WAS TOLD THEY HAD RUN OUT OF GIFT CARDS.WHAT A JIOKE.
• Ben (2/5): Place is a dump. - HOTEL IS OLD, NEEDS SOME SERIOUS UPGRADES AND MAINTENANCE. Elevator was not operational as we were given a room on the 3rd floor. Our room was a junior suite, out dated room, for the price we paid, they could've provide toiletries.
• Jayson (4/5): Poor service - Poor service! water pressure is poor. They offered breakfast buffet but food trays were empty and only few food left(we went down before 8am). No available table, coffee glass and water cups. Fruit basket was empty too.i am not happy with my stay in this hotel. They need additional crew.
• 204gerarde (2/5): Stinky Room - Don't even bother looking at staying in this hotel. room is smelly worst as a rubbish, I asked to be transfer to any room but was never accommodated. better to stay some where else and spare yourself from the hustle that will ruin your vacation.
• 680dinnas (4/5): Not too good for the largest hotel in the vicinity - Being the largest hotel in Lucena City, Queen Margarette Hotel definitely needs renovation! The exhaust fan in the toilet was too noisy. The carpet in the main dining room is simply too old with some portions torn. The furniture have tinges of stain and some needs repainting. There is wi-fi connection but not accessible. The courteous staff and cleanliness may compensate for these shortcoming but they may not be enough to make it a premiere hotel in the vicinity.

• Aaron (8/5): Quick Getaway - Was a quick getaway to this location to meet friends. Staff truly Excellent. Hotel probably best in the area. Give it a 4-stars.
• Tore (2/5): Moldy dungeon - We arrived there around 10 pm, and was given a moldy room without a window. When we asked for a room with a window, the guy at the front desk called his boss, and the bosd said we could have a room with a window for an additional 1000 pesos. We declined. The whole room was moist and smelling badly. When using the aircondition, the floor would turn into a wet surface.
• Charlie (2/5): For the price I expected more - Rooms were not clean. We didn't use the towels because they looked like rags. For the price about $50 U.S. dollars I expected more.
