• dietmar (8/5): Wir würden gerne wiederkommen. - Wir bekamen wie gewünscht ein ruhiges Zimmer, das auch im Haupthaus war. Das Frühstück war lecker. Das Hotel liegt zentral im Ort zu Geschäften, direkt neben dem (kleinen) Kurpark und mit nur kurzem Fußweg zum Bahnhof.

• Klaus (9/5): Es war wieder einmal gut! - Die attraktive Lage des Hotels, insbesondere in der Nähe des Ottenhöfener Bahnhofs, war mir bekannt - und ist für mich unverändert ein entscheidendes Argument für dieses Haus. Angenehm war und ist die freundliche und sehr um persönliche Zuwendung bemühte Atmosphäre im "Pflug". Das Frühstück gestaltete sich wie gewohnt, also nicht übertrieben üppig, jedoch gediegen: Hochwertige Produkte aus regionaler Landwirtschaft. Man hat offenbar verstanden, dass nicht überall "alles" geliefert werden muss, dass vielmehr das Echte seine Echtheit bewahren muss und entsprechend seinen Wert besitzt. Gut so! Schon früher kritisiert habe ich die durch hohes Verkehrsaufkommen der anliegenden Durchgangsstraße verursachte Lärmkulisse. Das Hotel "kann" dafür natürlich unmittelbar "nichts" - zu überlegen wäre indes, wenn man den ökologischen Anspruch des Hauses konzeptionell ernst nehmen will, ob nicht auch bei den Gästen dadurch gesteuert werden könnte, dass die ökologisch rücksichtsvolle Anreise per Bahn etwa durch einen kräftigen Preisnachlass honoriert werden könnte. Jeder, der dem Schwarzwald sein eigenes Verbrenner-Auto erspart, tut schließlich etwas für den nachhaltigen Bestand dieser schönen Region. Zum eigenen Charakter des Hotels gehört die immer wieder beeindruckende extrem sparsame "Maßarbeit" im Badezimmer. Zwischen dem Schwingbereich der Tür und dem Waschbecken ist wahrlich kein Millimeter verschenkt worden (und Finger sollte keiner versehentlich dazwischen kommen!) . In dem Zimmer, das ich - übrigens durch ein freundliches Upgrade - diesmal erhielt, stand nun auch die Toilettenschüssel auf den Millimeter passgenau vor der Duschkabine. Das Entern und vor allem das Verlassen der Letzteren geriet dadurch zu einer kleinen akrobatischen Herausforderung. Diese heute etwas skurril wirkenden Dinge sind freilich ein Ausdruck dessen, dass das Haus in einer Zeit gebaut wurde, in der Sparen und wirtschaftlicher Einsatz aller Ressourcen oberstes Gebot war. Sich darauf gelegentlich zu besinnen, ist gewiss kein Schaden. Es war wieder ein schöner Aufenthalt!

Il manque un chargeur pour véhicules électriques. Il n'y en a pas du tout dans le village.

• schlich (9/5): Spontan gebucht und voll zufrieden 😀 - Wir haben sehr kurzfristig gebucht und waren 15 Minuten später im Hotel…. man war schon auf uns vorbereitet 👍 und wir wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen (obwohl wir patschnass waren 🙈) Unsere Motorräder bekamen einen Platz in der Garage. Wir wurden vor dem Schließen der Küche auf dem Zimmer angerufen und wurden gefragt ob wir noch essen wollen. Sehr aufmerksam! Das Frühstück war sehr sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Hier gibt es nix zu meckern! Vielleicht könnte das Bad mal neu gemacht werden, der Einstieg in die Badewannen-Dusche klappt bei uns noch, aber nicht mehr allzu viele Jahre 🙈🙈🙈

• Klaus (9/5): Wie gewohnt: Gut! - Das Hotel war in der Ausstattung des Zimmers, im Service und beim Frühstück - wie bekannt - sehr gut. Die unnatürliche Hitze - selbstverständlich nicht in Verantwortung des Hotels. Dieses sorgte vielmehr vor; man zog im Zimmer vor meiner Ankunft den Vorhang zu, um die Sonneneinstrahlung etwas zu mindern. Gut mitgedacht!

Staff molto ospitale e gentile.

Il manquait une petite étagère pour poser le shampoing et le savon dans la douche L'ascenseur fait énormément de bruit, on l'entend dans la chambre à chaque utilisation. Peu de places de parking devant l'hôtel.

We were there to hike in the mountains and they helped prepare hiking guides before we even got there and arranged bus passes for us! The view was breathtaking and we would definitely recommend getting the room with a balcony with a Mountain View because it was beautiful! Breakfast was great from local venders and they even had a table reserved for us each morning. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

I liked the location of the hotel in the center of small town, 5 minutes from the train station and surrounded by beautiful nature. Many hiking tours start directly from this town. Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with regional products from local farmers. There was gluten free bread availble upon request, which I highly appreciate! Hotel restaurant is also very good, therefore highly recommended. I will definitely come back. Equipment of the bathroom was not very modern, which was the only small disadvantage, but the general impression is still very positive.

Nice balcony - views do surrounding mountains and a couple of rocking chairs and a low table.Very welcoming staff. We are at the hotel the two evenings that we stayed - great choice on the menu (3 vegetarian options) and food was delicious. Nice big shady terrace for outdoor dining and drinks. Plenty of parking. Hotel had a lift. Nothing.

The helpfullness, the breakfast, the dinner, the room size, the location (start of black forest and still close to Strassbourg), the parking on the spot. Temperature in the room. It was at the limit at first but got better after a while. Not for people that are easily too cold.

Das Bett war bequem, alles war sauber und wir hatten alles was wir brauchten. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls top. Das Hotel ist für meinen Geschmack etwas zu alt und könnte ein Update vertragen aber das gehört wahrscheinlich zum charm des Schwarzwaldes. Wir waren trotzdem zufrieden und würde es definitiv weiterempfehlen wenn man nicht nach Luxus und einem super modernem Hotel sucht.

Ich hatte eine hervorragende Kürbisrahmsuppe und einen leckeren, großer Wurstsalat. Sehr günstiges Frühstücksbuffet (4,50 €) mit dafür sehr ordentlicher Auswahl. Das günstige, ruhige Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick über die Stadt war mit hochwertigen Möbeln ausgestattet, das Bett weich. Das kleine Bad ist renoviert.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Lovely people and meals - On arrival we were upgraded to a room in the main building. There was a lift to take our bags up. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was really nice. The room was comfortable with lovely views, however we were plagued by noisy traffic both late into the evening and from very early in the morning. We were really surprised as we thought this location was remote. As we were up so early (6am) we decided to go for breakfast at 7am and we had one of the nicest that we have had compared to other hotels we have stayed in in Germany. We would recommend this because of the overall impression, but only for people who can sleep through the noise!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Wonderful hotel. Although furnishings are a dated, your receive excellent service by the hardworking owner. We dined at their restaurant and their food was excellent. They offer a full buffet breakfast which is also absolutely great. The location is also perfect if you plan to explore the Black Forest.

Ronny made us feel so welcome when we arrived and the room was made up with an special cartoon duvet for our youngest which went down well. The breakfast was perfect with a nice selection and the waiting staff for both dinner and breakfast were very friendly and efficient. We have been travelling across Europe and America for the last 3 months and we really felt the service we received here was the best yet. We will be sure to return. Thank you all.
