• HELEN (6/5): Faded splendour - not good value - Beautiful building in amazing location by the sea. Very traditional. Completely dead - I think that we were the ony guests. No facility for having tea or coffee in the room (at this price more comforts are to be expected) no bar snacks in room. We took tea in the restaurant and were charged €10 despite being guests. There was no bath in the room although that was pictured when I made the choice through booking.com . He room was cold during the day and too hot at night - we had to request to have the heating turned on in the afternoon - this was on a master timer despite there being controls in the room - and the air-conditioning did not work at night when we needed it. We ate in the restaurant (we were encouraged to do this by the staff) but the food was very mediocre and felt as f it had been warmed up from the freezer. It was the most expensive meal of our trip and by far the worst.

• Wilhelmina Antonia (2/5): We hebben er erg veel spijt van. - Er ging niet veel goed in dit hotel. Zie hieronder. €200,- per nacht!!! Weggegooid geld! Zeer onvriendelijke ontvangst door oudere heer. (Bij vertek was er een andere oudere heer die wel vriendelijk was.) Vergane glorie hotel, oncomfortabel. Onderhoud zeer nodig op vele fronten. Zeer oude, veel lawaai makende lift, die zo klein was dat je er met 2 koffers niet in kon. Kleine kamer, veel stof onder het bed. Werd op verzoek schoongemaakt. Lamp in de kamer en lamp in de badkamer waren kapot. Een lamp werd op verzoek gerepareerd. Zeer kleine douche wat een probleem zou zijn voor dikke mensen. Nergens haken in de badkamer waar je handdoeken of kleding op zou kunnen hangen. Handdoeken zo groot als een laken. Daarmee is het bijzonder onhandig afdrogen en de handdoek daarna ergens ophangen lukt dus niet. Ook slecht voor het milieu trouwens die véél te grote handdoeken. Je eigen strandhanddoek ergens ophangen lukt dus ook niet. Geen horren. Badkamerdeur sloot niet. Zwembadgebruik kost €15,- pp per keer zwemmen, boven op de toch al veel te hoge kamerprijs. Bijbehorend strand was helemaal verlaten. Strandbedjes en parasol huren kon nog wel (half september, stralend weer!), maar kost per dag €15,- per onderdeel, dus €45,- voor 2 personen. Er is verder niets op het zeer vieze strand (veel afval!!!), geen wc, geen bar. Het deel van de zee waar je in zou moeten zwemmen is knie-diep, dus zwemmen lukt niet. Bijzonder slecht ontbijt. Weinig en van slechte kwaliteit. Crackers en beschuit in plastic, dus lang houdbaar. Alleen een soort kingcornbrood. Eieren waren op. Geen melk. Andere gasten klaagden er ook over.

• Anna (10/5): Our second stay at Miramare Formia - The hotel is located on the beach with breathtaking views from our balcony. Our breakfast was included which was delicious and an abundance. We were greeted each morning with heartwarming staff like Pepe and Flamigna who went over and above to serve us and included warm conversations. Silvio also deserves recognition for his work.

• Benedetta (7/5): Si puo' fare di piu'! Sarebbe un 4 stelle - Una struttura d'altri tempi, ha brillato e si vede! Ospitato in un'ex residenza estiva della regina Elena di Savoia, possiede un fascino tipico di un grande albergo degli anni '80. Ambienti ampi ed eleganti. Il personale risponde prontamente alle richieste extra. Posizione ottima, se si cerca tranquillità e relax: spiaggia privata accessibile direttamente dalla struttura. Bene ma non benissimo! Il fascino della struttura è per certi versi decadente e forse richiederebbe un po' di manutenzione (anche se comprendo l'onerosità di quest'ultima in rapporto alla grandezza della struttura, degli spazi esterni e interni). Prezzo elevato in rapporto alla qualità dei servizi: - non giustifica tutti i servizi, per esempio la spiaggia è a pagamento (18 euro a persona, 10 per la mezza giornata) - le camere non sono dotate di ascensore (non segnalato in fase di prenotazione) - da un albergo a 4 stelle mi sarei aspettata una colazione con prodotti freschi e non confezionati - mancanza ordine negli spazi comuni: oggetti fuori luogo nella sala colazione, piuttosto che tavoli ancora da sparecchiare dalla sera precedente negli spazi comuni

• luisa (5/5): Location e personale le uniche cose positive. Impossibile riposare. - Abbiamo soggiornato cn una bambina di 4 anni a fine Agosto. Camera spaziosa e tinteggiata di recente con aria condizionata e balconcino vista mare dotato di tavolino e sedie in ferro battuto (che devono essere ritinteggiate). Bagno ampio e location con vista incredibile e fatta di vari complessi/villette con vista mare e immerso nel verde. Personale gentilissimo, sempre disponibile a fornire aiuto e spiegazioni. Questo non è un vero 4 stelle, soprattutto considerata la manutenzione. Le camere hanno finestre a vetro singolo e dunque qualunque rumore diventa un disastro, anche il tagliaerba della struttura del CONI che è dall altro lato della strada. Il ristorante è aperto ad eventi per esterni (matrimoni, celebrazioni) e dunque almeno 2 volte a settimana fino alle 1 di notte è praticamente impossibile dormire. Tra taglia erba e musica a tutto volume avremo dormito 5/6 ore a notte. Bagno datato, doccia con sportello rotto che ho letto anche in un'altra recenzione di agosto e confermo ancora rotto come la tavoletta del water. Per un asciuga capelli 1800watt bisogna chiedere alla reception su necessità altrimenti c e l asciuga capelli anni 70. Colazione mediocre: a parte dei cornetti e della frutta per il resto sn tutti prodotti confezionati. Il costo è eccessivo perché la struttura è davvero datata e anche i prezzi del ristornate non sono cosi convenienti con primi a 18/22 eur e secondi a 25/28. Infine alla mia insofferenza rispetto alla musica da stadio fin dopo mezzanotte, mi è stato risposto che i locali pubblici possono mettere musica fino all 1 del mattino....peccato che il locale pubblico è il ristorante che è parte dell'hotel ma evidentemente i guadagni da matrimoni ed eventi sono prioritari rispetto al soggiorno degli ospiti dell'hotel. Quindi pagate per non dormire.

E non c'era privacy, si sentiva tutto da una camera all'altra. E la vista mare era ridotta a poco spazio perché davanti al balcone c'erano tutti alberi. E il letto matrimoniale era con due materassi (comodi, ma separati)
• Emanuela (10/5): Stilvolles, elegantes Haus in Traumlocation! Romantik pur! Personal toll! - Das Zimmer hatte einen traumhaften Balkon mit Blick auf die Bucht! (Unbedingt Meerblick buchen!) Der Garten mit den riesigen Palmen zwischen den Pinien ist einzigartig schön. Lädt zum Verweilen und Genießen ein! Sehr romantischer Ort! Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in Kampanien! Die Parkplatzsituation in Kampanien ist im August natürlich ein Drama! Das Restaurant des Hauses ist doch etwas überteuert und bietet eher wenig Auswahl an Speisen an. Auch hier: der Blick ist dafür umwerfend schön und einmal geht das natürlich okay! Personal ist ganz bezaubernd !

Mi sono ritrovata una rotella smontata del box doccia...l'ho avvitata e riassemblata da sola...lo scarico doccia perennemente otturato...pur non vedendo capelli...bisogna interrompere doccia per far defluire scarico prima di ritrovarsi allagati eppure ero al secondo piano, anche solo x gravità doveva poter andare veloce.. La privacy dei balconcini delle stanze è inesistente...vai per uscire a mirare il mare e ti vedi un uomo in mutande(no costume!) che x giunta stende la sua biancheria sulla ringhiera divisoria...forse basterebbe fornire di stendibiancheria le camere ed apporre delle pagliarelle per non farsi guardare sin sul letto!!!!!! Mi sono limitata dall'uscire per non creare imbarazzi!!! Assurdo!!! Poi ...il pappagallo di nome ...da solo in una gabbia verde di ferro (sulla destra recandosi alla sala ristorante) spoglia di tutto e di qualsivoglia elemento arricchente per il suo benessere...ma tanto... "almeno aveva acqua e qualche seme di girasole" ...ma è una dieta del tutto inappropriata e povera !!! Il Servizio Veterinario Asl ne è a conoscenza? È esmplare registrato? E se piove come in questi giorni?? Resta sotto i fulmini a dimostrarne la sopravvivenza come per la gabbia di faraday ???!!! Non è affatto un bel vedere signori ..come non lo è più la piazzola proprio di fronte (ponendosi di spalle al pappagallo sfortunato) che sta franando sulla piscina sottostante!!!?? Lì vanno fatti subito lavori di contenimento!!!! Sul lato destro vi è una grande lesione che parte a terra dal calpestio e sale dapprima sul muretto di destra e continua sulla ringhiera di muratura che è del tutto distaccata ed inclinata!!!! Da paura!!! Se uno ci si appoggia come stavo x fare stamane x fare una foto, rischi di frenare di sotto!!! Va subito puntellata e chiusa al pubblico almeno quel semicerchio!!! • Marion (7/5): Décevant - Hôtel de charme, propre et sympathique, petit-déj’ copieux avec vue sympa. Les gens sont compétents mais le service rendu n’est pas si exceptionnel que ça compte tenu du prix payé. Aujourd’hui bon nombre d’hôtels à bon marché proposent notamment des navettes entre le Port et l’hôtel. Ce n’est pas le cas ici. La Climatisation dans la chambre n’était pas très efficace, et les dalles de carrelage étaient bouillantes à certains endroits. Hotel propre mais très moyennement confortable. Rapport qualité prix cher contenu du fait que si vous voulez aller à la piscine -qui est petite-, vous devez payer un supplément-ce qui est bien indiqué d’ailleurs- Idem pour la plage privée. Si vous n’avez pas de voiture, vous êtes loin de tout.

• Giordana (8/5): - The property consists of few small buildings within a lovely courtyard full of plants and trees. The hotel has a very nice patio area looking towards the sea, although sadly the view is reduced by the trees. The atmosphere is great, and certainly the perfect setting for a party. However, the facilities are really not good, as the beach has very little facilities and it is the most expensive in the area, not to mention access to it was a nightmare with many steep steps. Also, the swimming pool was not included in the price and we were asked £15 per day per person. It would have costed us a fortune, so we went elsewhere. We were very disappointed as we were hoping to station ourselves at the hotel between beach and pool and only go out in the evening. In reality we left after breakfast and returned after dinner. Also, there was no WI-fi in our room. All in all, I would recommend this hotel if you are not hoping to have a beach holiday.
• Ale (10/5): - Se avete bisogno come noi di un posto incantevole dove il relax ed il confort regnano su tutto, questa è la struttura che fa per voi! Posto magnifico gestito da una direzione e dal personale impeccabile e gentilissimo! Fantastica la piscina, la spiaggia privata e soprattutto la terrazza dove poter godere dell'ottimo cibo dalla colazione, pranzo e cena. Sicuramente torneremo!!!!

Bathroom light above mirror not working...outdoor area needed attention...no bar for sunset drink...special pastry for special guests...having to choose either pool or beach...sunbeds closed at 18.00...10am checkout too early...staying 2 days had to pay €72 for beach

• Andre (9/5): Gerne wieder, es hat uns sehr gefallen - Beste Lage, tolle Aussicht, sehr schöner Garten. Charme der alten Grandhotels spürbar. Das Restaurant bietet Raum und Platz für hohe Feiertage (Hochzeit, etc.). Etwas intransparent ist, wieviel Sonnenschirm und Liegen am Strand kosten. Eine Info vorher oder in den Unterlagen wäre schön gewesen. Die Internetseite könnte auch ein Update gebrauchen, Informationen über die einzelnen Zimmern, Preise, Verfügbarkeiten etc. sind so einfach nicht erhältlich, nur auf Anfrage. Es wird zu wenig bis garnicht das Restaurant beworben, das ist schade.
• caroline (9/5): Perfect costal retreat after visiting Rome and Naples - The hotel felt very exclusive but without a high price. The pool area and beach were beautiful and the staff very attentive. The Pastry Chef produced the most divine desserts!

• Miglė (10/5): Really worth staying at this hotel on the way to Naples - Stylish Italian hotel, as I love it! Great gardens, sea views both from the room or restaurant terraces, well kept and clean. Free parking, great breakfast and all ammenities.

La colazione varia e abbondante. Il personale dell'hotel attento e premuroso. il direttore sempre disponibile, professionale e cortese.

• Michaela (1/5): - Enttäuschender Aufenthalt – leider nicht empfehlenswert Wir waren als Ehepaar für 3 Tage in diesem Hotel und leider sehr enttäuscht. Der Poolbereich war schmutzig, und selbst die Sitzplätze bzw.Liegen dort kosteten extra und Sonnenschirme gabs keine.Der als „privat“ beworbene Strand gehört nicht zum Hotel – er kostet zusätzlich 36 € pro Tag, was vorher nirgends klar kommuniziert wurde. Für uns war das ein Hauptgrund der Buchung. Das Frühstück war schlicht eine Katastrophe: Am ersten Tag gab es altes Gebäck und ein paar Früchte vom Vortag – heute, am dritten Tag, nur noch ungeschnittenes Obst, Toastbrot und alte Croissants. Ich habe ein Video gemacht, weil es so schlimm war. Kann es aber nicht hochladen. Das billigste und schlimmste Frühstück in unserer 3-wöchigen Reise durch Italien. Auch der Lunch (Tomaten mit Mozzarella und ein Glas Wein) war extrem teuer bei miserabler Qualität. Die Zimmer sind sehr laut, man hört den Straßenverkehr, als würde man direkt an der Autobahn schlafen. Zum Abschluss hat es niemanden interessiert ob es uns gefallen hat oder nicht. Fazit: Preis-Leistung stimmt hier absolut nicht. Wir würden dieses Hotel leider nicht weiterempfehlen.
