- Sureshni (5/5): - Location and size There was a persistent leak in the bathroom which dripped from the basin onto the floor . There is a missing tile in the bath . The outdoor furniture did not have cushions and was untidy . The chest of drawers in tbd bedroom is precariously placed as you stub your toe easily when passing it in order to get to that side of the bed . There was no lockbox as specifically instructed in order to lace the key

- Goolam (6/5): Dissapointing - The location is great and the wrap around balcony, 3 bathrooms and the general comfort of the place The agent met me to handover the keys and I confirmed i had a car. There was no door tag to get in the building from the parking lot. I went down to the parking bay and parked and grabs my bags only to find out that i cant get in the building. This is not a great experience. I then called him to let him know, he said he will come around soon to drop a tag off. I only got a response 530pm to say that someone has tried to drop a tag off. I then told them i was out for dinner and will be back later which i then did. i returned to the apartment just before 9pm and let him know. He arrved at10 pm and says he brought the tag and tested it but it doesnt work! then apologised and said they will need to fix it or the system. I did not have a tag for the duration of my stay yet i completed the admin required. This is poor. The Aircons, Irons, kettle and the TV remote doesnt work. I had my daughter over and required a working Iron atleast. This to me is poor management and regular checks of the items and practicality of the property.
- Grantza (6/5): Nice location - room a little tired - Great location Very slow process to check in and arrange the parking. The staff at Rockwell not very helpful and security unable to help with the parking. Propr team were helpful but blocked and slowed down by reception staff.
- Angela (7/5): It was okay- it could have been better with just some small fixes - Location, clean and nicely furnished WiFi didn’t work. There were 2 irons but they leaked onto the clothes and the other didn’t work. The ironing board was outside behind the braai outside and didn’t have an over.
- Alan (2/5): Terrible stay in a run down badly managed apartment that should be avoided . - Our stay at this property which is run down and badly managed was terrible! Amongst the problems encountered were:-
1 The person doing the checking arrived 15 minutes late, was completely disinterested in what he was doing, promised to have an additional key and missing hand towels sent to the apartment but none of these ever arrived.
2 Shortly after we had checked in we realised that the apartment had not been properly cleaned ie bath and toilets dirty, plates and cups not properly washed and/or chipped, soap containers were empty and there was no dish cloth or towels in the kitchen. We phoned the management company at around 15.00hrs to complain and request that someone be sent to sort things out and a housekeeper eventually arrived the at 17.00 hrs the next day and attended to some of the issues.
We also advised that the airconditioners were not working, that we coudn't get Netflix to work on the TV and a light fitting in the one bathroom had had popped out of the ceiling and was dangling down on the cord.A maintenance person arrived about 2 hours later and pushed the light in the bathroom back into the ceiling, took a look at the aircons and TV and then left . He came back about 10 minutes later and glibly advised that he wasn't going to do anything about the aircon or the TV as his boss had advised him to tell us that the apartment wasn't advertised as having airconditioning or Netflix. This is absolute nonsense as the Booking.Com website clearly indicates that the apartment does have airconditioning and the home guide sent to me by the management company also refers to ensuring that the aircons are switched off when leaving and the home guide also specifically states that the apartment has "uncapped wifi and Netflix". The apartment is situated close to a very busy road and when its hot, as it was during our stay, one cannot simply open the windows to get some airflow as the noise in the apartment is extreme.
- Lombaard (7/5): would go back as it was worth it with the price and location. - Great flat with prince location and very homely feeling. We loved the location of the unit and how easily accessible Cape Town was. The flat was not the cleanest and the pillows on the couch weren't made upon arrival and the cleaning supplies were just left outside. The door lock broke upon arrival as well but it was repaired on the same day.
- Therese (4/5): Wont stay here again due to the security/ building staff - The amenities in the apartment like the Nespresso coffee machine was nice. There was no airconditioning, although its installed in the unit. Only fans.
The washing machine didn’t work properly.
The staff of the reception desk and security staff at the parking area was so rude and made it absolutely unpleasant staying at this apartment.
The check in process was a total nightmare.

12 to 15 min walking distance to the V&A water front.
10min walk to Bo-Kaap tourist hotspot
20min walk to city Centre tourist hotspot. Check in process was a mess.
You need to meet your 'agent' at the apartment.
We arrived 2 hours later than as anticipated.
Our agent was absent. Had to wait 15min for someone else to come from Propr.
The check-in process must be clearly communicated.

- Karen (1/5): The apartments are ok and I am not sure the one we had was representative. I spoke to other guests who had a far better - It is central to the Cape Quarter and within walking distance of the city and waterfront The agent operates remotely and getting assistance was a challenge as there was a reluctance to send someone to assist, their preference being to communicate via what’s app. The checking in system was a disaster taking over 45mins to get someone to come to attend to, and a further day to get access to the garage. This was despite having pre checked in on line. The manager of the agent was abrupt and ignored repeated calls and texts. The apartment was tired and definitely not luxury. Although the advert offered access to a pool, aircon and streaming services these were not available to us but present, the aircon and streaming service having being disabled. The apartment was a little grubby in places - bathroom showers etc and did not have sufficient matching crockery and cutlery being an assortment of odds and bits. There was no table covering for the outside table which was very dirty and dusty. Although the location was convenient we were on the second floor which meant we overlooked the petrol station and the compressor machine was extremely loud making conversation sitting outside impossible. For anyone planning staying here, try to get a modernised unit higher than. The second floor and through an agent which operates on site.
They were also undertaking building on several floors so the building was very dusty and dirty in areas including the lifts which were being monopolised by the builders do we generally had to wait 5-10 mins to get a lift.

- Pragin (7/5): Good - Apartment is very nice. The managing agents Propr use Uber drivers to. Check you in, does not attend to the buildings check in procedures for the guest and the whole experience was very frustrating. Mr Le Rouw, take note....
No pillow cases on the pillows, however, I must state that the apartment is very nice

- Trevor (5/5): I would try The Rockwell again but would be sure to book a harbour facing room. - The property is superbly located. The interior is modern and spacious. The apartment Rockwell 213 looks onto a filling station and you hear the loud sound of the air compressor incessantly. There is no attention to detail from the management - one bed was missing pillow covers. In the second bedroom the second twin bed was not even made up. Bath mats are not provided so you are always stepping out of the shower on a wet floor. Although we were two travellers - only one set of keys was provided. Communications with Propr (the management/host) was frustrating.

It's in the middle of the tourist attraction places If only like other places your apartment could be cleaned everyday and your sheets and towels replaced daily,then I would give it a 100% rating. - Zolani (7/5): Staying at Rockwell - The foyer was clean. Very easy to access the place. Parking was perfect. Security personnel was very friendly. The extra blanket was dirty, had stains oll over. We ended up not using it. The admission staff was not well organised.

Our booking was not found even though it was booked weeks before and the online check-in and verification was done. Even though we requested a check in time of 15:00 we were told that the apartment will only be ready at 17:00, upon our arrival. It was all very frustrating.

- Zublifier (10/5): Alluringly Charming - The apartment had fresh feel and alluringly charming appeal that made a perfect and pleasant stay. The apartment was tastefully decorated , comfortable, conveniently located and provided some stunning theatre like views of the Table Mountain facade. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Our tags was not registered so we couldn't use the elevators, parking area.

- Zublifier (10/5): Home away from home - The personal engagement meeting in person handover the keys. The explanation of everything about the apartment. The accesss to whatsapp communication. The attentive detail to every request and satisfying every need: Extra blanket, late checkout.
The place was spotless , location great and lovely view of the mountain.
- Suyash (7/5): leaky tub & unusable appliances - the only noteworthy mention about apartment 104 @ the Rockwell is it’s location Apartment 104 is quite disappointing @ the Rockwell. The bathtub is in need of urgent maintenance. It peels ??! and leaks. So much so that the wooden bath room door has begun to get water logged. The leaky tub was annoying as I had to mop up after each shower to avoid the entire apartment getting soaked. There is no daily housekeeping either although a cleaning fee of ZAR800 was additionally billed over and above the price stated here as a ‘cleaning fee’. Upon personal enquiry The Rockwell itself only charges ZAR300 for this. The Tumble dryer does not work!! It’s just a shell of the machine. Parts inside are missing. I enquired and feedback received was that the part is being replaced ‘next week’ … let’s hope that happens. I won’t to returning to 104 and urge Booking.com to de-list this space.
