- Bernd (9/5): Nettes, einfaches Hotel in guter Lage. Ideal für 1-2 Nächte. - Gute, ruhige Lage, sehr gutes Bett, sehr nette Gastgeberin. Es war sehr teuer zur Zeit der Eishockey WM. Ich war nicht für die WM in Zürich, sondern geschäftlich, daher hat der Preis schon geschmerzt. Ohne Event sind die Preise vermutlich etwas günstiger.
- Eline (9/5): Heerlijk ruim en rustig appartement voor onze familie met twee volwassen kinderen. - Rustige ligging van het ruime appartement vlakbij het meer van Zürich. De basisbenodigdheden waren aanwezig, zoals handdoeken, theedoeken, n paar zakjes thee en wat koffiecapsules, water in de koelkast ( en wat chocolaatjes 😄). Aangezien we de rolluiken ‘s nachts dicht konden doen, hebben we heerlijk kunnen uitslapen… We zouden een volgende keer weer boeken! We konden de koffers langer in het appartement laten staan, omdat we een latere vlucht hadden. Alles was goed.

- lgh34609 (10/5): Very Nice Hotel and Location - I’d like to start by saying I did a lot of research on hotels in Zurich before booking. Many reviews mentioned noise at night, especially in the city center, which made me hesitant. However, after reading through feedback for Aparthotel Zurich, I found only a couple of slightly negative comments out of many, which gave me confidence to book. From the start, communication was excellent—emails were answered quickly and thoroughly. I was asked about my arrival time, and when I got there, someone greeted me right away. They even allowed us to check in early so we could rest before heading out to explore, which was greatly appreciated. The staff went above and beyond throughout our stay. They provided restaurant recommendations in the area and even helped us find alternatives when one place was fully booked. They also assisted with navigating the city, printing out routes and giving clear directions whenever we asked. The location is very convenient, with trams and buses less than a minute’s walk from the front door. It’s under 15 minutes to the train station and even closer to the city center, making it easy to get around. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Although it was noted that there would be no housekeeping on Sunday, we returned to find the beds made and towels refreshed, which was a pleasant surprise. The only minor downside for me—coming from Florida—was the lack of air conditioning. However, I was informed that the weather is typically cool this time of year (which it was), and opening the windows at night helped keep the room comfortable. Overall, I was extremely happy with my stay. I travel frequently for work, and if I return to Zurich, I will definitely be requesting to stay here again. Lee Hudson

Você é recebido pelos donos que estão interessados na sua estadia em Zurique. Recebi um up grade no quarto o que sempre te deixa muito feliz. O hotel é muito tranquilo para dormir, perto dele existem cafeterias e supermercado. Está há 5 minutos do Centro. Para um dia ensolarado é possível ir caminhando pelas margens do lago. No final, uma caixa de chocolate suiço para deixar você com gosto de quero voltar. O mais importante: hotel limpo ao extremo. Extremamente limpo e colchão confortável. Escolha a melhor suite e desfrute de Zurique.

Our two rooms were thoughtfully rearranged so that they were next to each other. There were too many extras to even mention; nightlight in the bathroom, robe and slippers, umbrella in the closet, refrigerator, microwave, and accessories, etc. and when we were checking out, the whole staff/family came and said goodbye. I love these people! There is absolutely nothing I can think of to offer as a negative critique. Only I wish we had stayed here sooner.

- bryan (10/5): Uitmuntend! - Van begin tot eind was dit een perfect verblijf. We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen zelfs gratis een upgrade qua kamer. Niks was de eigenaresse teveel. Ze gaf ons tips voor ontbijt/lunch maar ook voor avond eten en hoe we het beste konden reizen. De boot valt daar onder de tramticket, kleine zaken die je als toerist natuurlijk niet weet. Het was een verademing om hier te verblijven met mijn partner. Kortbij het centrum en alle voorzieningen ondanks het toch lekker rustig en beetje afgelegen ligt. Wij hebben enorm genoten! Ik beveel deze top locatie iedereen aan, ongeacht voor welke reden je reist. niks, absoluut niks!

Highly recommend it. - The location was excellent for exploring, with interesting sites reachable by foot and being very near the main tramline to the old city. The price was very good and the room was spotless and nicely appointed. We had to take our luggage up 2 flights of curving stairs. Also, the only bedding was a heavy comforter which was too warm. (But we found this to be true most places we stayed.) The sink was not by the toilet but across the room.
- knotheadusc (10/5): A fine place to spend just over a week! - My husband and I recently spent eight nights at the Aparthotel Familie Hugenschmidt. I tagged along with my husband, so he could participate in the summer intensive course at the C.G. Jung Institute. I mention this, because more than once, my husband mentioned how easy it was to get from the one room apartment we rented to the Institute every day. There's a tram that stops steps away from the hotel, making public transportation a snap. The staff at this family run apartment/hotel are very friendly, professional, and attentive. The place is immaculately clean and secure, and at least in our apartment, we had everything we needed, including an air conditioner to keep the sitting room cool, and a powerful fan in the bedroom. There were plenty of places to store things, too. I also liked the Rituals toiletries in the bathroom. The kitchenette had a microwave, dishwasher, oven, stove, and refrigerator, and all of the dishes and cookware to make eating at restaurants every day unnecessary. There are also two COOP grocery stores nearby, as well as at least one mini market. When we wanted to eat at restaurants, we found several good ones in the neighborhood. There are also a couple of excellent bakeries steps away from the apartment for morning bread. Because my husband was busy during the days, I spent my time visiting local attractions such as Lake Zurich (very short walk), the University of Zurich's botanical gardens, and the Chinagarten. There's also a public swimming area nearby, and a couple of museums within walking distance. Of course, there's also the tram for quick and easy access to other parts of the city. We were pleased that the hotel had a parking spot for our car, although be advised that if you are bringing a car to this establishment, you must book it well in advance. Parking is very limited, but secure, behind a locked gate. If you need to get in and out of the spot frequently, you may wish to find another place to park, as our car was blocked in the whole time we were there. It didn't matter to us, though, because we didn't need to drive anywhere. My only complaint was that the apartment was a bit noisy, in part because it's so close to the tram track, but also because the people in the apartment above us were "heavy walkers". I could easily hear their footsteps, and I think they had a child who was doing a lot of running around and jumping. But that's not really the proprietors' fault, as it really is just a feature of being in an apartment where walls, floors, and ceilings are shared. If you need a reasonably priced apartment for a longer stay in Zurich, I would definitely recommend Aparthotel Familie Hugenschmidt. It's in a great part of town, and the people who run it are wonderful. Thanks for a great stay!

- Jenny (9/5): Almost perfect for our needs! - Location was perfect for our needs. The apartment was reasonably priced, spotlessly clean, and had all of the comforts of home. We were also able to park our car at a reasonable price for Zürich. The property is close to the lake, the botanical gardens, the Chinagarten, and a park. There are two grocery stores within walking distance, a drug store next door, several good nearby restaurants, and a couple of great bakeries very close. The tram stops just outside. We enjoyed the proprietors, who were very friendly, attentive, helpful, and professional. I would book again. It can be a bit noisy. The area around the apartment is busy, and if there are people in an apartment over yours, you will probably hear their footsteps. Also, parking is very limited, so definitely reserve early if you need a space.

Really welcoming family hotel where nothing was too much trouble. Samantha greeted us on arrival & explained the family history of the hotel. - C (10/5): Lovely stay, Close to everything - The hotel was 15 minute walk so close to downtown and transit was steps away. Apartment was very clean and well-appointed. Staff were eager and helpful. Being close to Main Street, there was some traffic noise during the late evening.
- Swaim (10/5): Perfect Location - comforts of home! - the owner has thought of everything! there is a robe and slippers for you, there is soap and lotion, there is a tiny fridge and a microwave, along with a simple set of kitchen goods (cutting board, dish towel, dish soap, cutlery, cup, mug, corkscrew) and even a USB cord and a power adapter in case anything has been forgotten. they are so kind and the location is perfect! the room is small but that was what I had expected -- I had not expected it to be so thoughtfully designed and set up for me! the shower was also hot and powerful, bathroom clean, and they held my heavy bag for me while I explored the following day.

- Kyle (10/5): Little gem in the heart of the Seefeld neighborhood - Location, facilities, room. All perfect for a relaxing dip into all Zurich has to offer. Seefeld neighborhood has some great gems and is walking distance to many natural landmarks of the gold coast. Honestly, everything was perfect for this little city get-away. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Thank you!

- yykong23 (10/5): A great experience and highly recommended place to stay - I travelled from Hong Kong to Zurich mainly to visit my sister's family, therefore I aim to choose a place which is closer to my sister's home, and finally booked a one bedroom suite for a stay of 2 nights at Aparthotel Familie Hugenschmidt. I mainly contacted with one of the owners Samantha, who is very friendly, helpful and makes you feel being welcomed, and she is kind to upgraded me to a two bedroom suite as she knew that I was travelling with a child, so that we can enjoy more spaces. The suite is clean, neat and tidy, which honestly speaking has exceeded my expectations and makes me feel like at home. The suite is also well equiped, especially the kitchen which most of the cooking tools are there. It also has a self laundry room which is located at the basment of the building. The location is also convenient, which is around 15 minutes by tram from the Zurich HB train station, and it is convenient to walk to the lake side. Overall speaking I have a present stay there, and I truely recommend this to all travellers and hopefully I can have the chance to visit again in the near future.

Also, the hotel is super convenient as it is next to the lake and next to the tram. Price is unbeatable. I was in the economy room and you can really hear the tram.

We learned how to use the bus and it is 10 min from the central station. There is also a train station within 7 min walking distance.

- Suresh (9/5): I will definitely stay in the same place if I visit Zürich again!! - The location was at the right place, close to city centre; and despite the rooms being smaller they had every little facility; like iron box, umbrellas, toiletries, towels, cutlery and almost every thing…which pretty much made up for the space; the family too was very accommodative; looks like every small detail of guests was thought about! Maybe couple of hooks or rods to hang towels/napkins could be provided
- chaunat (10/5): Amazing stay in the best location in Zurich - Lovely hotel in a cute neighborhood of Zurich with excellent transit and food! We went to the lake beach many times during our stay, just a few blocks away. The apartment was perfect for families with a great kitchen, bathroom, and lots of spare linens. Everything we could have hoped for and more - it even had AC. We will be back!
- Casey (9/5): Excellent value. Highly recommend. - Excellent location right by the bus stop. Away from the busy city center but within walking distance of everything. The family that greeted us is lovely and made us feel like home right away. I can tell they really love their property and their guests! Only one thing- and it’s an American thing- the A/C is a very small unit in the main area and doesn’t cool the rooms off.

I asked if I could leave my luggage so I don't have to carry it around town until check-in, and the host said I could check-in earlier. The host greeted me and was approachable and professional. - Qiang (9/5): It’s worthwhile to stay in the premise, even for a long stay - It’s located near the lake, very convenient for buying groceries and dinning out. the rooms are extremely clean and tidy, the landlord is a very nice lady., really considerable and helpful If the aircon in living room can be fine tuned, it’s quite noisy if turned on, but it won’t be a problem if you don’t use it

- Yolanda (8/5): Very good - Very well maintained for such a small family hotel. Comfortable although its renovation is a bit old. The shower cubicle is transparent and in the corner of the room, well it’s shown in the picture without ambiguity, it can be inconvenient for who wants privacy.

- Nurmukhamed (10/5): I am happy with my stay and would definitely recommend this place - Amazing helpful staff and excellent location which was close to all local amenities i.e. shops, restaurants, local bakery and tram stop is just one minute walking distance from the hotel. The hotel was spotless clean, my room was cleaned to a high standard everyday. I booked this trip for my birthday. First I was hesitant to book a single room as I thought it may be too small (thinking about the UK hotels single room size), however after arriving all my doubts vanished. It has all the facilities one person needs except toilet & shower, i.e. it has wardrobe, microwave, cutleries, kettle, sink, tv, desk & chair (where I was working in the evenings after my trip to catch up with my workload) & etc. Toilet & shower were shared, however during my stay I was the only one using the toilet just myself and regarding shower I did not even notice someone was using it either. Both were spotless clean. The hotel does not offer breakfast, however there are plenty options such as local bakery or Freytag where you can have amazing breakfast (there also make various fresh tasty sandwiches + cakes) which is less than 5 minute walking distance from the hotel. The hotel staff were super helpful, they have a good attention to detail too as they gave me a birthday card & chocolate which I did not expect - it was thoughtful of them. They take good care of their guests. I would like to thank them for hosting me and thank especially Samantha for being so helpful, giving advices, recommendations and explaining the area and places to visit in so much detailed way. I have never experienced anywhere such an excellent customer service and care of hotel staff about their guests before. I will definitely come back to this place again when I am in Zurich and recommend this place to others 😊
