• Valerie (7/5): Nice location just not for me - Great location to shopping in Georgetown and within walking distance to Blues Alley. This is the first time I used a hotel/inn/airbnb that you get a code to enter the establishment and a code for your room. I’m sure some people like that type of non contact with the establishment and the price was good but it was not for me as a single woman traveling alone. I didn’t like put all my information in a kiosk on the sidewalk as people were walking by. I never saw anyone except someone from housekeeping as I was entering the inn to get to the room I was staying in. A little of an uneasy feeling for me going in and out of the inn.

• Jillian (7/5): - I enjoyed my stay here. The room has everything you need. I got good rooms I stayed in 7 & 11 and would recommend. The kitchen is good to have as I used it daily. Many other guests don't so it's not busy. There are good restaurants near with a very good italian next door! Kitchen has a microvave, toaster & fridge with boxes with your room number on it, to put your food but No cooker. There was No human contact, I'm not sure if it was because of thanksgiving & thats why there were days of no one here. It would have been nice to be greeted... how is your stay etc. All contact was on booking chat which works. Overall a great place & would highly recommend.

• Lothar (9/5): Hotel ohne Rezeption - Der Stadtteil Georgetown ist ein angesagter Stadtteil mit vielen Geschäften und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Das Hotel hat zwar keinen Service, ist aber liebevoll und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Wenn man sich mit dem öffentlichen Nahverkehr auseinandergesetzt hat, ist die Busanbindung zur Regierungsmeile recht gut. Im Keller sind abschließbare Schränke für das Gepäck vorhanden. Das Hotel ist nicht Behindertengerecht, in der Beschreibung fehlt der Hinweis, das es kein Personal und keinen Aufzug gibt. Das Gepäck muss die enge Treppe hoch getragen werden.

Canal view - canal being dry & overgrown. Despite a barge being outside, it was high and dry : ( (A minor quibble - which is entirely out of owner’s control).

• Silvia (7/5): Séjour ok. - La localisation est très centrale pour Georgetown. Il y a une très bonne pizzeria juste à coté. La complimentary coffee était chouette à avoir (mais pas de lait dispo). Le check-in n'était pas intuitif mais comme je suis arrivée dans des horaires d'ouverture, le staff était rejoignable via télephone. Ma chambre était difficile à ouvrir: ce qui a marché, après conseil de la femme de ménage, c'était de bouger la poignée de la porte vers le haut et non vers le bas. Aussi, la chambre était partiellement au -1 et je pense que sans air condionnée on n'y pourrait pas rester, je déconseille les chambres à cette étage, aussi car j'entendais très fort les voisins.

• DSA (9/5): Great location, difficult bike storage - They were very centrally located to shopping and food in Georgetown. I was able to do laundry and they had kitchen facilities.The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The keypad access was nice as opposed to having to use your phone or getting cards. We arrived by bike and it is on the bike route, but storing or carrying your bike to your room is very difficult, we had to carry them up and down a very narrow flight of stairs with turns and the rooms are small. It would be great if they could provide a secure bike parking area as it appeared that a large portion of their customers were cyclists. Also, the laundry was secured under locked doors and I didn't even know it existed until later as it is also shared with the house staff and unavailable in the afternoon or evening.hours. Posting availability hours would be nice.

• JustLookAround (10/5): A Hidden Gem in Georgetown - If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Georgetown, let me recommend The Georgetown House Boutique Hotel. Its location is absolutely stunning—one of the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced. The check-in process couldn’t have been easier. Instead of waiting in a lobby, there’s a self-serve kiosk right outside the building. The whole process took less than five minutes, and once completed, I received a code that gave me access to both the main doors and my room. Inside, the hotel is charming, and my room in particular was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. It was spotless, well-ventilated, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The pillows and bedding were extremely comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. In the morning, guests have access to a shared kitchen, complete with a variety of coffee options—a thoughtful touch. This was truly one of the best stays I’ve had in years. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially cyclists riding the C&O Towpath, since it’s such a convenient and welcoming place to rest.

Porch seating overlooking the canal was nice as well. Although in the bedroom, we could keep the room cool- the kitchen area was quite warm (though it seems they were trying their best with swamp coolers, etc.) I don’t know how it would change, but having more fridge space would have been great!

Great dining options nearby and a kitchen where you could make coffee and keep milk in the fridge. I borrowed a bowl for breakfast cereal, which was nice to be able to do. Room was comfortable and clean. Dark room, there was a blind that was always down (I think it was broken), and if I had raised it then people would have been able to see in the room as it was on the ground floor. Self check in means that there is no one there to greet you - it feels more like an airbnb than a hotel.

• Patrick (10/5): - We stayed at Georgetown House for a quick weekend in D.C., and it was perfect for our trip. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Georgetown, walking distance to the canal, restaurants, and shops. Check-in was smooth, the room was clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The shared spaces were tidy, and the atmosphere felt welcoming yet private. While it’s a simple accommodation compared to big hotels, the value and convenience made it an excellent choice. Would definitely stay again when visiting Georgetown.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Self check-in was more difficult than necessary. The machine was not producing a reservation under my name and I had to ring the bell to get a person to help me. When the owner(?) came, she told me that I only should enter the last part of my last name because they thought the first part of my surname was my middle name -- this was odd because my surname is spanish and has 3 parts to it. I did as she instructed, and the reservation still did not come up, so it was clearly an error with the system and not with me. In the end, she just gave me my own access code. She could have been nicer instead of assuming I was dumb and didnt know how to use the machine!

• J8177GIpaulm (8/5): You Get What You Pay For, No More and No Less. - For the price, this hotel is good. Noise was my biggest problem. Paper thin walls and a load restaurant next door. You do not necessarily get the room you booked, either, and so I ended up even closer to the restaurant than I’d hoped. But the location is great and the price was among the very lowest I could find. So, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

No parking and no live person on the property to assist you though. Check-in through a kiosk that was not straight forward.

• Anna (8/5): - The location was nice, and the room worked out ok. It’s definitely not very sound proof though. I was staying on the bottom floor, and I heard the people above me. They weren’t being excessively loud. It was just normal talking, but I could hear them.

• tylerwR6086HK (2/5): Horrific Customer Service - I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I attempted to book over the phone. They took my card then texted me demanding that I call to pay in full after telling me that I could pay at the property. The “owner” was inexcusably rude. She would not even listen to my concerns on the phone, spoke over me, yelled at me, then cancelled my reservation. This person has no business working in any form of hospitality.
• Scott (10/5): - Check in was challenging since no one’s on site. Was able to contact host and eventually get inside. Excellent property reasonably priced and close to restaurants. Very nice experience overall.
