Stop knocking at a guest room 3-4 hours before checking out what time they will be checking out. Your guests have the rights to stay in thier room peacefully as long as they abide by the hotel rules.

• Susann (8/5): Das Personal und die gute Ausstattung des Zimmers war toll - vielen Dank! - Personal war sehr freundlich, Zimmer sauber und alles was man braucht da, sogar kostenlos Trinkwasser und Kaffee, WELAN auch frei, Bitten wurden ermöglicht. Es ist gut, dass das Hotel so nah am Flughafen liegt für kurze Zwischenstopps aber wenn man was unternehmen will, ist man sehr weit ab jeglicher Möglichkeiten, zu Fuß geht nichts. Ich konnte sogar ohne Aufpreis bis 16 Uhr da bleibe 👍sehr super und ich war sehr dankbar dafür Das Frühstück war jetzt Werder umfangreich noch gab es eine Auswahl aber es hat geschmeckt 😀

• Steele (7/5): - I didnt stay for breakfast or any meals. I was please to note there is a restaurant on the property that I will try next time. It was closed the day I was there. I like the proximity to the airport and that was why i chose it. The room was small but comfortable for a short stay /overnight visit. I will stay again in future. Didnt stay long enough to say there was anything i didnt like. It was more than adequate.

It is close to airport, they include a shuttle to and from airport, have breakfast included in room price, although we had to leave earlier than it was offered. The restaurant on 3rd floor provided a delicious Indian meal. The room comfy. For myself, the room was booked/confirmed on booking.com, for a 2 bedded room. When we got there, there was no reservation. They had a room, with one bed, which was fine, however we were charged for the bigger room. I contacted the manager who was to send the refund difference via pay pal, but never received it.

It was excellent food- authentic Indian and Thai food. My daughter and granddaughter who live in Trinidad joined us for dinner and also said it was excellent. The water in the shower was barely warm rather than hot.

Netflix available on TV, comfortable mattress Ate in the top floor restaurant which was good. No toiletries provided except soap, no hairdryer. possible could have asked reception but closed by time I washed hair. Could not see out window as small and stained glass, a few of the fittings needed tightening . No Artwork. Milk to go with the tea and coffee.

• Shenell (4/5): Disappointing - location, not too far from airport. The hotel advertised amenities that they do not offer. Unfortunately, the actual condition of the room was far below what was advertised. The toilet had visible stains, the shower holder was rusty, and the faucet was dirty and mouldy. The room smelled stuffy and unclean. There was no breakfast included, no slippers or robe, and the towels were washed out and worn. The minibar was misleadingly advertised—there was no minibar service, only two small bottles of water placed haphazardly in the fridge. The electric kettle appeared dirty and unhygienic. The staff wasn't very friendly and there was no one stationed at reception to open the remote buzz doors and provide other assistance. I was left standing outside for 5 mins trying to get attention from anyone in the building. Overall, the facilities did not meet basic cleanliness standards nor match the advertised description, which was disappointing and misleading.

• Lasse (1/5): Trotz Buchung zu 110,38 € wurden mir 117,03 € abgebucht, das Hotel verweigert die Rechnung und erklärt den überhöhten Pr - Der Airport-Shuttle hat gut funktioniert. Ich habe ein Deluxe-Doppelzimmer über Booking.com gebucht. Der angezeigte Preis betrug 110,38 €, tatsächlich wurden mir jedoch 117,03 € abgebucht. Auf meine Nachfrage hin teilte das Hotel mit, dies liege an einem extra hoch festgesetzten Wechselkurs von Trinidad-Dollar zu US-Dollar. Für mich wirkt dies wie vorsätzliche Täuschung, da der Kunde im Vorfeld nicht transparent informiert wird – ein Verhalten, das ich als absolut inakzeptabel empfinde. Darüber hinaus weigert sich das Hotel trotz zweifacher Aufforderung, eine ordentliche Rechnung auszustellen. Als Gast erwarte ich, dass Buchungen korrekt abgerechnet werden und dass Rechnungen bei Bedarf bereitgestellt werden. Die mangelnde Kooperation des Hotels in diesem Punkt ist sehr enttäuschend und entspricht keineswegs professionellem Kundenservice. Insgesamt waren Preisgestaltung und Service extrem unprofessionell und kundenunfreundlich, weshalb ich nur 1 Stern vergeben kann. Ich kann dieses Hotel unter diesen Umständen nicht empfehlen.

• Majestic Sol (5/5): - The receptionist was pleasant. It was clean. The reception area is visually appealing. Airport transport didn't disappoint as it arrived quickly. Not sure if it was other guests but there was continuous talking and activity that can be heard in the hallway in the middle of the night and early morning. Also the bed sheets had stains here and there. So I think they should get new sheets instead of washing and reusing.

I arrived on the island for 1 day only to see my dying relative. No shuttle service This hotel is in a run down location and staff were rude. There was no one on reception- eventually I checked in. I left in a rush for my 4 hr drive to my visit. Arrived back at 11.30pm physically and emotionally exhausted - I was not let in a rude woman named SHERRY opened the window and said they said there was no water. She said all guests had been transferred to Piaco Palace and she said the hotel knew to expect me. She lied. Piarco palace had no notice of my arrival. Just before we left we could hear GUNSHOTS very close by(it’s in the recording). I was a lone female traveller. Thank god my taxi waited. I arrived at Piarco Palace. There were no guests that were transferred like Grand Diamond said because of no water. Sherry lied. In fact the manager there said the manager at Grand Diamond (Michael) was very rude to her when she was trying to contact him for confirmation. Piarco palace also confirmed that they were in no way linked to or had any partnership with Grand Diamond. Piarco Palace were so professional. So accommodating. Nerissa, the manager really looked after me. The rooms were lovely and felt a little more luxurious. Stay at Piaco Palace Crown Hotel. Don’t stay at Grand Diamond. The customer service is so appalling. Regardless of the good reviews here I really would suggest not staying there. They lie and they aren’t concerned with safety. Zero star rating. Zero. Not 1 but there’s no zero option. They lied about having no water There receptionist was rude They don’t care about safety Gunshots could be heard nearby They’re just rubbish. I travel all over the world and THIS has to be the worst ever experience.

• Raphael (10/5): - We would highly recommend if you are needing to stay near the airport. Have a free shuttle. They have two restaurants upstairs. That smell amazing and they have clean, affordable rooms and everyone there is super nice
• Gillian (2/5): - We were 3 in our room, we had to ask for more towels. When we would use them, they would take the dirty ones but not replace with clean ones. We had to ask for toilet paper. The air conditioning leaked. They kept asking us for money in USD when our booking was in CAD, also odd that they wouldn’t be asking for local currency. The beds were very sunken in and uneven. The shower was rusted and had heavy calcium buildup and the water smelt like bleach. After I would shower I felt my eyes would burn when I kept them open. The battery in the remote for the tv was dead and we had to go ask for a new one. We requested a shuttle from the hotel to the airport, and we had to pay for it. When the service was supposed to be included. Our booking said breakfast included, when we went to get something to eat upstairs there was no one there. Completely empty. The receptionist had to CHECK if we could get food without paying. Then SHE was the one who made the breakfast. Only thing we can say was that the breakfast she made was actually good. The dynamics of the hotel in general were very weird. We had another guest come to meet us and she stood outside for over 30 minutes at 3am waiting to get into the hotel because there was no one at the desk.

• Cristina (6/5): Disappointing hotel near the airport. Ask to see the room before you pay. - The room was large and beds comfortable. Free shuttle to and from the airport. The price on Booking.com is in usd, but the hotel charges credit cards in ttd (which is normal) AT A FICTITIOUS EXCHANGE RATE OF 7.5TTD TO 1USD!. We refused and in the end had a 7:1 rate applied. The daily rate of 121usd per double room including breakfast is too expensive. Breakfast was very limited (no options to choose from). The first day they brought us eggs, sausages and toasted bread. As for the room (13), the bathroom had no key but the lock was stuck and the door couldn't close! They couldn't repair it even if we stayed 2 nights and we weren't changed room! Finally, there is no sun terrace as mentioned in previous reviews. There were no tea bags but just cups and tea maker.

• travelduott (2/5): DISHONEST AND RUDE - AVOID THIS HOTEL LIKE THE PLAGUE! - DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked this hotel for my husband through Booking.com after he was stranded in Trinidad following a funeral. The payment went through and I received confirmation. When he showed up at the hotel, the woman there refused to let him in. She said they were full and that there was no booking and that it was impossible for Booking.com to have taken payment — which is completely false, they do when they sell for a third party like Expedia - we had paid online and my card charged. I spoke to her directly on my husbands phone and tried to explain everything while she rudely spoke over me, telling me it was impossible to have paid, I had even sent proof of payment to Booking.com to my husband’s phone via WhatsApp. She didn’t care or want to see. She treated my husband, a Rastaman, like a threat. She wouldn't let him inside and only spoke to him through a hole in the wall. It was degrading, she left him on the street. Then she suddenly decided to call a taxi, paid for it herself, and sent him to another hotel without an explanation on their part, he just knew he needed somewhere to rest his head. When he got there, the staff said he didn’t need to pay — they’d sort it out between the two hotels. That’s a private arrangement! We never booked that other place. This was dishonest and racially motivated. I’m furious and demanding a refund from Booking.com. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS AFTER BOOKING ACCOMMODATION ONLINE. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

• Aisha (10/5): - We booked this online last minute after missing our connecting flight; we needed a reasonably priced hotel close to the airport for an overnight stay. This fit the bill. Staff were very friendly and helpful; our room on the first floor was clean and spacious. We had an issue with the tv and the front desk clerk tried to assist. There’s limited food options nearby so we ate at the airport before checking in. That said, there is a restaurant on the top floor (Indian and Thai food); we ate a continental breakfast. We were assured that all meat served is halal and that was an added benefit. Nice hotel; good price; welcoming staff.
