The host was not on site but was immediately available through What's App or by phone. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was just a short walk to the swimming beach entrance, a little further along the board walk to the penguin entrance (with sightings of penguins in the bushes beside the boardwalk along the way) and a little past that was the entrance to fishermans beach. Just down from the lodging was a lovely restaurant and gift shop right before the swimming beach entrance. Such a lovely location with everything you need for a short stay.

• Suzanne (10/5): To us Boulders Beach was a highlight on our South African tour. - It is a divine location overlooking False Bay. The balcony ran the whole length of the property on two levels, super for our group. There was plenty of seating in the house for our family group. It is only a short walk down to the Penguins, it was fantastic. The hotel below the house did a great breakfast. The lower rooms, accommodation for two to three is very dark the bathroom is between the two rooms and the kitchenette is in one sleeping area. For a longer stay it maybe not ideal.

• Jennifer (10/5): We so enjoyed our stay. Everything was gorgeous. We loved sitting and eating on the deck. - The whole place is gorgeous. Location is perfect. Three of us were staying, so there was more than enough space, beds, kitchen items, etc. Barbara made everything so smooth and easy for us! We happened to be there during the Cape Town Cycle Tour. We made the most of the morning while we were "stuck in" because of road closures by watching the cyclists, enjoying the pool and walking to see the penguins. Only 1 thing. The driveway...it's almost impossible not to scrape the bottom of the car driving in and out.

Alles ist stimmig und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Abende haben wir mit Braai und einem guten Glas Wein auf der großen Terrasse sehr genossen. Der Blick auf Boulders Beach mit den Pinguinen war ein weiteres Highlight. Preis-Leistung ist hier absolut stimmig. Netter und unkomplizierter Kontakt per WhatsApp mit allen Anweisungen, die wir für unseren Aufenthalt brauchten.

• Natalie (5/5): A pleasant stay - The expansive sea view was absolutely wonderful, and the welcome drink was a lovely touch. This property really has the potential to be something very special with just a few improvements. The bathrooms and toilets would benefit from a little refresh, and the bathroom windows likely affected by moisture or sea salt could use some maintenance. There was quite a strong smell of cleaning product during our stay, although the overall cleanliness didn’t quite reflect that. Updating things like dish sponges and towels would also make a lovely difference to the guest experience.

An amazing view from the balcony (you could see the penquins too!) and an easy walk down a lane to the Boulders Beach. It was in such a short walking distance to the penguin beach, and access to Cape Point Nature Reserve made our stay exceptional. Very well appointed inside with all the conveniences you need. The alarm kept going off , very little extra touches compared to other properties we have stayed at .. we had one trash bag and two tablets for the dishwasher. So much more could have been done to modernize the apartments at very little cost… and some attention to detail goes a long way.

We had the most beautiful view of the ocean and watched the sunset and sunrise which were heavenly. It’s a very short walk down to a very beautiful beach and the Boulders Beach Penguins! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. The beach house was clean and super comfortable. We had a lovely time relaxing in sun loungers by the private pool and my children and husband loved swimming in the pool. We will definitely come back! :)

The rooms were big and I liked the downstairs room for quiet. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with any of our questions. Nothing to do with the house - but it was difficult to get an uber or cab in the area! Would have rented a car if I'd known this.

• Jill (10/5): Stunning location - Great house in a stunning location with views over the ocean and of the nearby penguin beaches. Airy and spacious. Nothing to dislike. Slight walk into Simonstown for nearly amenities but easy to get local taxis.
• Janus (8/5): Proximity to penguins & stunning view - We were in the Penthouse for two nights, and the sea view is quite breathtaking. The deck is huge and you can eat out there. The walking location to both the AMAZING Penguins and the wonderful coastal walks Boulders Bay offers is just amazing! The penthouse is efficient and fully functioning though ageing a bit; bathrooms / blinds could do with an upgrade. When windy the windows rattle and noisy. Can’t walk to anywhere to eat (hotel below - only option - shut early when we were there early April). Noisy from our deck when kids in pool down below. The incredible view, the close proximity (short walk) to the penguins and the amazing coastal walk more than outweighs any of this.

Nice and close to Boulders beach - just a short walk away. The host was very responsive and pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay. The deck surface and stairs to the entrance could have used a good clean. The cleaning crew and agent arrived 20 minutes early on check out day and we felt rushed to vacate. The washer was old and not very good. But it’s a lovely place overall and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

• Marco (3/5): Poor - All the wooden slide doors facing balcony and all the wood windows have the be properly maintained . When is raining water come in . The guttex of the property have holes and water fall down in the entrance passage. The garage doors are wroten and they need to be changed.

We were very impressed with how accommodating Barbara was with any issues we had. I never felt that I was a nuisance. We were given the use of both garages when the other guests left. WIFI and inverter during loadshedding difficult to access the road from the parking bay and garage. The parking is just off the main road which is very busy. We did however manage. Not easy to access the beach for the elderly. Very steep from the beach to the house

• Martha (9/5): Lovely location and sorry two days was not long enough to get to enjoy the pool. I would definitely book this place agai - Excellent location for our planned adventures. The view of the ocean was wonderful from the deck. The bedrooms were comfortable. It would have been nice to have spent more than two days to fully enjoy the accommodations. During our last night, there was a rain storm. The noise was especially horrible downstairs and impossible to sleep. Thankfully, this was only one night. I wouldn’t want to stay there during the rainy season.
