Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (10/5): Fabulous Hotel - Staff were really accommodating and food was delicious. Nothing.
- Justin (10/5): Memorable weekend in heavenly spot - Beautiful! Lovely staff, room and service Nothing, it’s a gem
- Louise (10/5): Decadent gorgeous period building! Would stay again! - Beautifully kept building, loads of character and excellent service! Nothing
- darren (10/5): - Outstanding hotel.
- Steven (9/5): Great relaxing stat - Beautiful property , great grounds It was a shame the Orangery was closed for repairs
- Simon (10/5): Perfect. - Perfect. Beautiful place. Not that we watch much TV but the tech was very old & small.

- Justin (9/5): A lovely weekend break in the lap of luxury, we will definitely return - Magnificent. A truly beautiful setting and a real sense of luxury and comfort pervades Kilworth House Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff at all times, the peace and serenity of the hotel will stay with us. There was a problem with the boiler the night we arrived, so the water was not hot enough. Kilworth House staff kindly offered to move us into another room, which we did. This made for a lovely weekend, the tepid water soon forgotten, we enjoyed our stay very much indeed.
- christine (9/5): Everything catered for, lovely relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings - Stunning location, probably the finest staff i have encountered from groundsmen, house keeping to reception every member of staff was friendly discreet and professional. Quality breakfast. Corridors where a little dim but it was a dull day so looking forward to our next visit being a sunny day
- Kristen (6/5): a good start: for this price point staff must do better. - I was very disappointed as i struggled to open the front door with bags and briefcases staff stood chatting at the front desk and did not come to help. indeed, two of them watched me struggle then walked away.
No offer to help then or even after check in, no offer to help with bags to the room. Poor directions to the room.
Dinner was slightly disorganised; i was never told the soup or fish of the day. Had to ask. Food was fine but under seasoned. Expected better quality and bread: i had just returned from France and it was jarring that bread was not offered.
Room lovely.
Breakfast -hello???? No one was around. Seated myself. very slow service and i was headed to a meeting so my timetable was tight. unhelpful i had to ask several times for toast and water (oddly no water on the buffet, just juice). I noticed several other guests asking for missing items and unsure where to sit i.e. no staffing
Overall a lovely hotel trying hard but staffing let it down. Not worth the 185£ night i paid even on an expense account.
And they forgot my wake up call: thank goodness i set my own alarm! all above
- Linda (10/5): A great three night break in a very comfortable hotel. - The selection at breakfast time was very good and the evening meals were delicious. I couldn't fault any of the meals. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our room was extremely comfortable with good facilities. Parking at the hotel was easy. We were overlooking the most beautiful grounds. If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the hotel for you. Nothing.

- Damon (6/5): Well located, but my goodness it is dated. - A very well located hotel just a few miles from the M1. Lovely looking building externally and beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Very clean rooms and well appointed ensuites. Comfy bed. I think it is best to describe this place internally as dated and at times, I felt like I was a 1970's sitcom. At this price point, and when comparing to other similar priced hotels I have recently stayed in, I would expect the bedrooms to have a coffee machine (Nespresso), smart TV's, fresh milk in the room (in a flask or in a fridge) and other modern touches like a DAB radio. The decor would make your grandma happy, but for me, it all felt a little dated and chintzy.
The lounge area lacks any kind of atmosphere and it would be nice to have some background music playing. Even when the gas fire was lit, the atmosphere didn't change.

- Caroline (10/5): A stunning English country house in Spring what else could you need? - So beautiful and in amazing location. All was wonderful nothing to dislike.
- Charles (10/5): Very nice! - Very nice furnishings and property. Hi quality rooms. Good value.

- Chris (10/5): Delightful Haven of Peace & Quiet, with Exceptional Service - If you like attention to detail, you'll love this hotel. The attention paid by each member of staff was a joy to observe. The lounge offers a haven of peace and quiet (no laptops or phones allowed). Dinner was excellent - a simple menu, with a few choices, all well done. Breakfast was excellent: best scrambled eggs I've had in a long time. Room was comfortable and spotless. Grounds immaculate. (Nothing)
- Martin (10/5): Best hotel room ever. - Cleanliness and staff. Hotel grounds and building were just so beautiful. Nothing.
- James (9/5): -
- ward (8/5): Slightly faded elegance set in fantastic grounds - Location is fantastic with beautiful grounds. The hotel is elegant.Food was very good. The lighting in the dining room was poor - I had to download a torch to read the menu. The room was a little hot and even adjusting the temperature after a 19.00 arrival had no impact.
- Belinda (9/5): Lovely hotel - We stayed for one night at this beautiful hotel. The hotel is set in stunning grounds and is beautiful inside and out. Its great to stay somewhere so clean and everything in a good state of repair. Breakfast was a buffet plus hot dishes cooked to order with a good choice. Bedroom was a good size with a large bathroom and comfy beds.
- Julian (9/5): Thank you all for all your hard work and helping us feel so at home- we will definitely be back ! - Very special breakfast with right degree of freedom buffet/service. A v personal approach to our needs and who we actually were and what the occasion was, rather than corporate appproach, we felt valued and included in the system of overall management. We absolutely adored the grounds, they were incredibly special and are hoping to return for a whole weekend and a show in the theatre in the future. We also liked the thoughtful themed naming of the rooms, authors etc, any clues as to the history and decor of the place. Just wished that there was a message on the website that the orangery was currently closed as that was a big drawer as to why I selected it, it turned out alright as the place wasn't too crowded which made the stay more intimate as a result but at no point were we informed of this, even on arrival or even on a note in our room, which would have been considerate. We had a welcome note which we did appreciate, but it could have had this important info added. I guess a garden room should also have had a slightly better view of the grounds/garden for the price, it was rather on a corner. The noise of the radiator in the bathroom was also rather noisy at first, it didn't last more than an hour I don't think, which ensured overall the night's sleep was entirely satisfactory, or fine.
- Sally (9/5): A truly lovely stay! - A beautiful Hotel, it was immaculate & very tastefully decorated & so clean! I liked everything
- Pete (9/5): Excellent hotel! - Lovely location whilst not far from the M1. Garden rooms were on the first floor of the building overlooking the grounds. They were nicely proportioned with very comfortable beds and pretty much everything needed for a comfortable stay. Food was excellent. Staff were exceedingly polite, helpful and friendly. Whilst the internet was available in the room, the TV did not connect to the internet so impossible to access apps or cast to it from our personal mainstream devices..Signage to rooms could be a little more obvious but in an odd way adds to the charm of this hotel.

- Ruth (9/5): A thoroughly enjoyable stay, with country charm, great ambience, staff and cuisine. - The ambience of the hotel, the bedroom was extremely comfortable and the turn down service was a very nice touch. The staff were welcoming and more than happy to help and advise as necessary. The food was of a high quality and beautifully served. The breakfast offerings were excellent. A fridge in the bedroom would be a welcome addition. The bedroom door has a wicked opening mechanism and as you open it to exit it quite fiercly snaps back, takes you by surprise and hurts your wrist.
- Hazel (10/5): A fantastic stay with excellent staff - Kilworth House Hotel is a beautiful building located in a fantastic setting. Lovely comfortable room and beds! Excellent customer service by very professional and friendly staff. Definitely recommended. Nothing at all!
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful hotel - Beautiful setting, very grand. Comfortable bed and pillows. Old school luxury

- Clare (8/5): Just magical - The location is wonderful and all the Christmas decorations made it a truly magical stay .Couldn't fault the food and the service as always was incredible, cant wait to return, hopefully soon. nothing really only my choice at breakfast, but that was down to me.
- Naomi (10/5): Family stay - Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location Breakfast could be quicker to take the orders but we were in a family group so happy to chat while waiting
- Peter (8/5): Relaxing atmosphere friendly staff . - Location Entrance road and car park poorly light
- Anne (9/5): - Beautiful hotel. Lovely room. Good parking. Lovely food. It was perfect.
- ADAM (7/5): - Friendly staff.
Restaurant is very limited, in terms of food options, but satisfactory. The hotel ideally needs a bar menu for more casual dining, within the "bar" area.
The communal areas of the hotel are delightful. However; be aware that some rooms have a single bed and a separator door. This is fairly unacceptable in a £200+/night hotel; except in central London. It's not a hostel guys. Being subject to a separator door and "communal" room occupier. You can hear everything. And, to be fair; I'd rather not hear this in a hotel with about 45 "empty" rooms at the time; simply for your convenience of cleaning in the morning.
- Lesley (10/5): We were so well looked after. Highly recommended - The style and the quality of the furnishings. Very clean and polished, well maintained. Set in lovely grounds. It was almost perfect. Maybe a fridge in the room.
- Susan (10/5): Loved our stay in this magnificent property. - A truly magnificent property, wow. Superb room so comfortable and with all facilities, even treats, and a good bathroom ( shower above bathtub ), very good breakfast, and delightful helpful reception staff. Good parking available. Nothing.
- Mark (7/5): The hotel is beautiful, but the General Manager needs to improve service and food standards - A truly stunning building with well maintained gardens. The interior of the hotel was beautiful, with a good layout and a excellent outdoor courtyard. The rooms were extremely clean and the chamber staff were super helpful and friendly. The food and service were very inconsistent. You could wait 15 min for someone to take your drinks order in the study or when waiting to be seated for breakfast. Starters were poor and extremely small and some of the more complexed main course missed the mark (although the steaks were great).
- Lorraine (10/5): Stayed for one night, very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The only thing that we thought would be beneficial is an - Great hotel, very clean and in beautiful grounds, lovely walks from the hotel.
Staff were all excellent - very helpful
- Catherine (10/5): A special treat and a lovely relaxing weekend away. - Very friendly, beautiful setting, luxury feel All very good
- Alan (10/5): A venue with a real feeling of history, high standards and a welcoming atmosphere - Stunning property, outstanding comfortable luxury rooms and facilities that will impress for a night away. Really great staff right across the board. Beautiful grounds even for just a stroll.
- Michele (9/5): A lovely luxurious stay with goid food and very pleasant staff - The decor and the gardens were beautiful with lots of lovely and areas to sit quietly
- Lupin (10/5): Excellent stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Will be recommending to friends. - Extremely clean, exceptional staff, excellent food. The chairs in the dining room are rather uncomfortable/worn. Maybe update them for more comfortable ones.
- Helen (10/5): Lovely hotel with lots of attention to detail and welcoming team - Staff were very friendly and our room was stunning. We enjoyed walking around the grounds Perhaps the food could have been a little less elaborate. There were lots of different competing tastes
- JACK (10/5): -
- Nick (10/5): -
- HPHN (9/5): - Sehr gut gelegen.
- Richard (9/5): -
- peter (10/5): - A short but relaxing stay while moving house, a very welcome retreat from chaos. It helped with our sanity and preserved our marriage!! No complaint
- Sohaib (7/5): - Great location beautiful venue There was no bar only a lounge, there are no places in the hotel to sit apart from the lounge. The Whole hotel was rented out for a wedding and I had to either stay in my room or leave.
- Alison (7/5): -
- Alison (7/5): -
- David (6/5): Lovely hotel, food not up to scratch, unhappy looking staff. As always though, the Theatre was brilliant - Beautiful house in a wonderful setting. The theatre was amazing 🤩 brilliant cast The food quality, very small portions and huge cost of drinks
- paul (10/5): - Lovely up together property.

- Serena (9/5): -
- Dee (10/5): -
- Maxine (10/5): The events manager Steve was absolutely brilliant Hey, he was very helpful and as I couldn’t climb the stairs to my thea - Lovely surroundings, and as a disabled person the ground floor room had a disabled shower room which was excellent plenty of handrails and a pull cord for assistance if needed The theatre had no handrails or a disabled area for wheelchairs
- ELZBIETA (10/5): - Everything was perfect!
- Amnon (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): - Beautiful location and surrounding. Combined the stay with a theatre ticket. Hotel accommodation was first class. Overall a special place.
- Joanna (7/5): Convenient for show but way too expensive and needs a decor refresh. - Very clean Too expensive, I really don’t see how the cost can be justified. Also rather dated in terms of room decor.
- justin (10/5): - The property is amazing, stunning location but some of the decor is a little tired in places, generally excellent throughout though.
The service was great in general, with the exception of a few times things were muddled or not quite as smooth and effortless as you'd expect with an establishment like this.
- Ruth (9/5): Lovely but a rather expensive ! - Beautiful grounds and lovely building Nothing
- Nadia (3/5): Worst stay in Scotland and England - Interesting to see a grand estate The rooms were sooo hot - no air con and you could only open the window a tiny bit. There was a small fan in the room that was absolutely useless and as hotel guests for two nights we were treated as second class citizens to the theatre guests
- Peter (9/5): Very enjoyable weekend - Excellent staff, extremely clean and wonderful food. Impossible to control temperature in bedroom
- Carrie-anne (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (7/5): Good -
- Barry (10/5): Excellent venue for our wedding anniversary - Location excellent as we're the facilities. Staff very friendly and efficient.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. The Location of Kilworth house is superb. Great relaxing atmosphere in amazing rooms in such a grand building and gardens. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Charles (9/5): Superb - Beautiful building. Spacious rooms. Great surroundings. Quite expensive
- Deborah (7/5): Lovely old hall loved white clothes on tables - Old world, clean, staff. Large room Food very expensive with no cheaper choices. Sandwiches small and expensive. Bed Ok
- Jenny (8/5): comfortable and relaxing stay - Always love this hotel, the staff are awesome, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable and make you feel special. some parts of the hotel are starting to look a little tired and could do with an update
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable night's stay - Fabulous grounds and hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived along with a load of others who'd come along for one of their music events in their Orangery (fabulous venue). We were just there for the night and had a very (lovely) quiet dinner in the Library. The bar prices were reasonable and lounge comfy. The room and whole hotel was very well maintained and clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent Dinner menu was limited and very pricey. It was very well cooked and presented but replacing the usual mushrooms in steak and chips with rubbery other varieties doesn't really justify the high cost of the meal. Deserts were great though
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- DAVID (4/5): - Great property, terrible service. Junior staff haven't been trained and management has lost its way. Too many issues to mention. The owners/P&L holders are welcome to hire me to help them turn this place around.
- Chris (10/5): An excellent day at a wonderful venue - Location food ambiance service outstanding Nothings
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
