Guest Reviews
- Gemma (10/5): - Incredible location, beautiful views from the balcony. Spacious apartment, with decor that made us feel like we were in a different time.
- Joanne (8/5): -
- Bec (10/5): Exceptional - Wow! Felt like we were staying in our own private museum, palazzo or chateau. So much space, chandeliers in a lot of the rooms and everything was amazing. Close to Rialto, close to anything else we needed. Not disappointed. Nothing! Just amazing
- Fibrelight (5/5): situated in nice area but needs a lot of work doing to bring this up to standards that they charge for - the only positive for me and my family was the location was great ok this is my honest opinion
beds are shockingly uncomfortable
only 1 shower for 5 adults in small bathroom behind kitchen not the main bathroom
shows on pics that there is lovely balcony views onto river but there is big signs up saying do not go onto balcony its unsafe
asked could we stay a little later on check out and was charged £100 even
if could honestly say we would definitely not be staying in somewhere like this again
- Marcin (5/5): Passable - Location There should be separate beds and there werent. Problem with hot water( low water pressure). Week Wi-fi
- Anna (9/5): I would really like to stay here again especially if they have better bedding - Fantastic view, great authentic interiors and very special atmosphere of the palazzo Very bad pillows. For such price the bedding should be of better quality. One of the bedrooms does not have enough space and hangers to hang clothes . During 5 days of stay there was not a single cleaning
- Jacqui (10/5): Exceptional - It was all great - very easy check in and lovely people. Incredible view. Felt like a home from home. Hot water was a bit hit and miss and a couple of creaky doors need looking at.
- Maxwell (7/5): A great Venice experience in a generous and stylish apartment with a nice kitchen courtyard window. - The water front windows onto the Grand Canal are wonderful. A large spacious apartment with 2 Queen bed rooms and 1 single bed room and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equiped and has a lovely window out to an inner courtyard garden - very tranquil. Quaint old style furniture and furnishing enhance the very large old windows onto the canal. From the windows you can watch the Gondoliers prepare their lovely boats in the morning and even chat with them. The daily life of the Grand Canal is yours and in stylish old large rooms this is a big old liveable apartment. Very close to San Toma ferry stop and the cafes there and close to 2 small supermarkets - all very handy. The beds are on the firmer style and can be a little uncomfortable on the hips and shoulders, but some people like that. You are on the Grand Canal so be prepared for the hum of water boats most of the night. Like most accomodations in Venice the initial location of the entry gate can be tricky - but stay in mobile contact with your key hand over / entry person and they will probably meet you at one of the cafes close by.
- Hodge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (10/5): It was a wonderful 3 days and just what medically recovering customers needed - Absolutely perfect location on San Polo
good restaurants and minimarket nearby
Rooms to die for and obviously very trusting owners with all the valuables around
wonderful views of Grand Canal and quit at night
Will visit again The arrangements to meet the key holder by the Welcome team were tortuous and lengthy.Could be done better with only one contact name and address not 3
However the keyholder was delightful and exactly on time
The instructions for the WIFI need updating and clarifying
The dishwasher did not work
It would have been nice to have a welcome bottle and coffee/milk available on arrival
- Jackie (10/5): lovely stay in a beautiful apartment in perfect location with wonderful views - it was very traditional with lots of original features beautiful nothing
- Sinziana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brad (8/5): Amazing views from a historic building. - The location and views were incredible! 7 large windows looking out in the grand canal. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Ernst was awesome to work
with. He ensured everything was ready upon our arrival, answered our questions, and was just great to work with. No air conditioning. The listing said it had a/c but there wasn’t any - just fans. Of course, it’s a very old and historic building and I’m sure there are restrictions on installing a/c units. The breezes at night helped to cool the house down, but it was so warm inside that it made it hard to enjoy it during the day. My suggestion is to just make sure and state this clearly in the listing if you’re visiting during a hot month (we went in August so definitely warm). The other thing that could be improved is the beds. They were very hard and uncomfortable.
