Guest Reviews
- kevinmT2316FW (2/5): Too Many homeless people - I am a platinum member with mgm and have been going there for a while now , but the amount of homeless people in there is starting to get ridiculous. I had 4 people come up to me and ask for money. Why in the world would I give someone money after losing a ton of money in slots . They let everyone in the casino. They need to clean this up or I will take my business elsewhere.
- tijanw2026 (10/5): Extremely pleased with the performance and service. - I had a great time at the Kem and Leela James concert held last night. My partner needed a wheelchair escort. Security was prompt and attentive to my partner's needs. We were escorted to the theater from the casino and back to the parking lot after the concert.
- 747claudinac (4/5): Beautiful hotel, overwhelming signature scent - We stayed at MGM National Harbor the day after New Years and although the hotel was very nice, they pump in a signature scent that is so overwhelming. As an asthmatic and a person who is chemically sensitive, I was sick from the minute I walked into the lobby, so much so that I couldn't even bear to stand there while checking in. The overpowering perfume smell wafts through the corridors of the hotel relentlessly. I don't know if they pump the smell into the rooms but being in the room, while beautiful, was not much relief. I had a constant migraine and could smell the scent on my clothes and in my hair, making me sick the entire stay. I even had to leave the casino after about 15 minutes because I could smell the scent being blown in from the vents and mixed with the heat in the casino I almost passed out. The hotel is beautiful and it's nice to not smell smoke but the overwhelming signature scent that this and many hotels use are too strong, especially for patrons who a chemically sensitive. I will not be able to stay again.
- Delores65 (4/5): Lackluster, and poor food - The lack of dining options was a major disappointment, and we had an issue with check-in. I was charged twice for one night, and no one could help me - they simply had no idea how to help me deal with this issue- it was like they had never seen such a thing happen. Thank goodness I used my Amex card and had to file a dispute about the additional charge.
The food choices were very few, and all were very heavy and greasy. The Ginger was amazing! I will give them 5 Gold Stars and recommend them to anyone who visits this hotel. We were there for 4 days, so we didn't want to eat there every night.
There seems to be a disconnect between the staff who work in the casino and the actual hotel, as if someone who worked at the hotel would struggle to tell you about the restaurants. There is a small food court area called The National where you can get burgers, fries, pizza, and sandwiches. There is a restaurant there; Diablos avoid this place. It wants to be a Mexican restaurant, but falls horribly short. The salsa is basically tomato soup with hot sauce, and the tacos were terrible.
The beds and room cleanliness were exceptional. The casino was fun, but you are quite a distance from any touristy area, so Uber or a taxi will be your best bet. I would like to add that Uber will struggle to get you to the airport in the mornings. The bellhop was super at getting us a taxi to the airport, which we shared with a lovely guest.
It was different for us; as a couple who go to Vegas several times a year and travel a lot, this was very disappointing. I hate leaving reviews like this, but as someone who does travel, I would like to know what to expect when I get there. Will I ever stay here again? Not likely. Sorry.
- 272wayned (10/5): MGM for gambling, but no gamble on comfort. - MGM offers the best amenities, I.E. SPA, dining. The rooms are very clean and organized for rest. They offer a wide variety of reataurants.
- E8559ADmichelleb (10/5): Christmas at the MGM - I enjoyed my stay, good clean room, friendly staff. Casino and restaurant great. Recommend going to Gingers. I have coming here for years and never had a bad experience. Location is great to visit the harbor.
- bobbya615 (10/5): Great Get Away - This hotel delivered an excellent overall experience from start to finish. The rooms were exceptionally clean, well maintained, and very comfortable throughout the stay. The staff stood out as genuinely friendly, professional, and eager to help at every interaction. Getting in and out of the hotel was effortless, making travel days smooth and stress-free. Check-in was completed online, yet the front desk team was still welcoming and readily available for any questions or needs. Their attentiveness added a personal touch despite the convenience of digital check-in. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, efficiency, and great service.
- FLINTNORTHERN (8/5): Great hotel! But……… - We attended the Earth, Wind and Fire concert on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Which of course was OUTSTANDING! Prior to the show, we had dinner at the Voltaggio Brothers Steak House. The service there is a little slow. I had the Lamb Chops with mash potatoes. The Lamb Chops were just okay. But the mash potatoes were excellent! We booked a king suite and stayed overnight. Unfortunately, there were several issues (no heat, no hot water, flashing green light on the smoke detector) with our suite. Upon checkout I did bring these issues to the attention of the front desk. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of speaking with the Hotel Operations Manager (Mr. Ronny Gedeon). Who addressed and resolved all my issues with our suite.
- O914KUcraigm (2/5): Horrible stay at MGM National Harbor-Don't do it... - We checked in and were pleased with the room until we realized that we could not store our own food and drink in the mini fridge in the room. It was stocked full of drinks from the resort with no ability to fit anything else in there. There was even a note that said that we would be charged a fee if we tried to put anything in it. This is the dumbest thing I've seen in a hotel room with a mini-fridge, in a long time. Then, at the end of the stay I wanted an hour or so longer in the room and asked for a later checkout. They said no. I am a Marriott Platinum member. Obviously Marriott members and their status do not mean anything to MGM. I realized that they have their own rewards program, but if they are partnering with Marriott, they should be prepared to offer some of the same benefits. Also, I should mention that only half of the restaurants were open when we stayed, granted it was a Tuesday night, but during the holiday season. It sure would have been nice to have a decent restaurant to eat at...we tried the Tap...it was horrible. We'll never stay here again.
- marsenal2025 (10/5): Spacious Comfortable and Courteous Staff - I had a most wonderful and peaceful stay at MGM. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, welcoming and helpful.
The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
Housekeeping did an excellent job and the overall atmosphere was quiet and pleasant.
I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and great customer service. I always look forward to staying at MGM.
- K8234RJelizabethl (10/5): Girls’ Trip celebrating a 60th birthday - We had an amazing time! The location is easy to get too. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays! The room was clean and spacious.
- travgu (8/5): Great hotel, Great Service, But...... - This is an amazing property, mainly due to the amazing staff and variety of stores and the entertainment venture. What I will say is the rooms need a lot of work. I had an entry level room and although I could see the room had the potential to be luxury, the furniture and fixings clearly showed wear and tear. Cracks, warped walls, over-used towels, stains in carpet, and unclean shower slates. The room was spacious though, had a fee for use mini bar, decent beds, and even an option to have an connecting room.
Front desk staff Pertrisha and Dreana were very polite and professional and assisted with my questions.
I may return, and see how a higher room category looks since the location is perfect for Events at the venue located inside.
- FLINTNORTHERN (8/5): Nice hotel! But............ - We attended the Earth, Wind and Fire concert on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Which of course was OUTSTANDING! We booked a king suite and stayed overnight. Prior to the show, we had dinner at the Voltaggio Brothers Steak House. The service there is a little slow. I had the Lamb Chops with mash potatoes. - Curiosity61671038874 (8/5): Fun holiday trip! Need more food options though - Great 3 nights at MGM National Harbor. The holiday decorations were beautiful and it just made the whole lobby area festive! We stayed in a corner executive room and it was large enough to have our own space. Casino is non smoking, which makes it better than Vegas. I wish the restaurants were open early in the week- would have loved to go to the Italian restaurant. We did love Voltaggio! Room service menu wasn’t great. Other than food options, this is a great resort.
- rushionm (6/5): Poor restaurants on property - The MGM National Harbor is one of my favorite places to stay. Its a nicely designed property and has an excellent concert venue. But the dining experience is terrible. Let's start with the Ginger Restaurant, where the bad Soy Sauce ruined the tasteless Pineapple Fried Rice. I ordered the curry chicken, and they should have left it in the kitchen, just bad food overall. Thank goodness the Voltaggio Brothers Steak House was closed and save people from that poor eating experience, because I had a business dinner there and the steak was tough. The National Market eating zone delivered more overpriced tasteless food and it showed because the place looked like a ghost town. If you are hungry, please stay away from Zizi's Pizza - cold, bland tough pizza. Pappas Crabcakes are stale, they are not serving what they are promoting, and Bread + Butter knows how to ruin a good breakfast. I started staying at this property on Labor Day Weekend with my family. The last three times has been on business, but I cannot take the food quality anymore.
- WEModelUSA (10/5): Living your best life - You can't be an establishment with entertainment, fine dining, and then come up to a serene sleep in a beautiful corner suite!
- johnbY3345VW (2/5): Awful, tired hotel. Great staff. No dining. - The entire staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful. The facility was awful - stained furniture, no restaurants open
- Travel581166 (8/5): Miss B - Location was convenient, especially with free parking. The atmosphere was great, the rooms were Amazing. The only rude person was the parking guy... maybe he was just feeling to cold to be courteous (it was cold outside), everyone else was kind and helpful. I would recommend MGM 👌 😌 🙂
- I6755KKmichaelj (10/5): Christmas Party 2025 UIC Bowhead - Had a wonderful stay and the ease of check-in. The staff through out the entire Hotel was very courtesous to me and my wife.
- B1911VHannf (10/5): Holiday Christmas party for MFA - The rooms were beautiful, friendly staff, and very professional. I had a great time at the MGM and would definitely stay again. Also recommend this hotel
- christophermT2194WS (2/5): Shooting at MGM?! - I stayed at MGM National Harbor and was very disappointed with the experience. The room I was upgraded to was not clean — there was hair in the shower and what appeared to be urine on the toilet. The food I ordered from the food court was poorly made. To make things worse, on the day I left there was a shooting, which showed serious safety concerns. Overall, I did not feel comfortable or well cared for during my stay. I would not return based on this experience.
- Explorer04863444608 (10/5): Great Food, Amazing Show, and Excellent Service - We attended the Christmas Concert featuring Amy Grant, CeCe Winans, and Michael W. Smith, and decided to enjoy dinner beforehand and spend the night at the MGM Resort.
Renee checked us in at the front desk and was outstanding—she answered all our questions about updating MGM Rewards cards, finding a light lunch before dinner, and how points connect with Marriott Rewards. She went above and beyond, sharing helpful tips that made our stay even smoother.
Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and the concert itself was absolutely wonderful. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish and are already looking forward to our next visit!
- V6468BDmichaelj (10/5): Great - Great experience both in and out of the hotel and Casino. I would highly recommend recommend MGM National Harbor to Family and Friends
- K2357MMstevea (2/5): I was not impressed with place. This place sucks for social gatherings. - The casino sucks. And the dealers like to cheat. Harrington's Raceway casino in DE is way better than this. I rather go there.
- Camper11987379478 (10/5): Standup show here was great - Went to see Joey Diaz and had a great time. Darius gave us better seats and I’m ashamed of myself for not catching the bartender’s name because she was wonderful as well. The casino was nice and the food smelled great.
- Curious707157 (10/5): MGM was Marvelous - MGM was marvelous. Very classy and cozy all wrapped up in one. Took my granddaughter to celebrate her bday. We had a fabulous dinner at the Italian restaurant and continental breakfast at the VIP lounge.
- Sparty0323 (6/5): Nice hotel, below avg staff and casino - Customer service is not consistent. Some staff are amazing while others could care less you even exist. Casino high limit staff are horrible unless you just hit a jackpot. Hotel rooms are great.
- emilyeT1571CV (6/5): Motel not luxury hotel vibes. - The staff was amazing. Kind courteous and attentive. The room had an awesome view. I was disappointed in the quality of the room, especially after paying over $550 for one night. The comforter was ripped, the paint was peeling, the carpet was stained, the room was covered in dust, the grout in looked like it had never been cleaned. Even the toilet paper sucked. The room was designed for appearance not form and function but the appearance was definitely lacking.
- tammysB3396FL (10/5): A must stay - Extremely clean hotel and casino. They were coming around wiping off the machines and picking up! The hotel itself is lovely and smelled amazing. Staff couldn’t do enough for you.
- 637guyh (2/5): Never Again nothing like a MGM experience - I responded to a mgm email offering complimentary rooms for 4 nights, 250 free play and 125 food credit. I booked national harbor and was told they don’t honor the free rooms . I paid and was later offered an upgraded room for 70 more a night, got there and the tv didn’t work properly. If you move anything in the fridge for longer than 60 second you are charged. You can’t keep anything cold in it and if you try to use it for personal food or drink they charge you 50$! No way to heat food either. If you don’t park valet you have a 10-15 min walk to the hotel thru the casino. It was a 30 min wait to see the single host available on a weekend, where I was then told they would also not honor the free play or food credit! Saturday night I went to the atm and it sent me to the cashier to redeem the money where there was over a hour wait. On top of all of this the slots were disgustingly tight in every section I played, out of all the resorts I have been this was the worst. Not to mention the food was overpriced and unseasoned every place I tried…. Best part of the trip was the view of DC!
- D5889XVdavidc (8/5): Awesome place and experience for my first timer visiting. - Great place to stay! Rooms are spacious and clean! Overall, everything you need is in this location. Good resturants, fast food, coffee, shops and not to forget the Casino! Staff very friendly and helpful. Only concern I had was everything came at a cost. If you wanted to relax and watch a sports game, there was a minimum fee ( advised of 3 drink minimum per person in once place, $250 minimum in another). I just felt like that was not needed for someone already paying a premium for staying at a higher end resort.
- Nomad481037 (10/5): Great place for get away - Best place for get away!! Go enjoy the stay. Ginger, shake shack, bread and butter are my favourite restaurants. Food is expensive, but you get good quantity to share with your friends and family. At the end of the day your final bill will be same as outside restaurants.
- Joe4lo (2/5): TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE OVERALL! - Multiple discrepancies for a stay on August 29 - 30, 2025 on Labor Day Holiday weekend:
Short staffed on a holiday weekend for a $600+/night stay
Cigarette desk burn & smell for a advertised “Stay Well” room
Return from 12th floor for a room change
Italian restaurant food not good - plate sent back
NO RUNNING HOT WATER @ midnight - hotel addressed this issue w/ a service tech visit in the middle of the night then a manager call with a incidental charge reimbursement
Smoke detector light flickering prevent us from a restful night sleep
Self park EV charging NOT working & an extremely long walk from the lobby
Air purifier inop/ probably due to dirty filter change required
NOT AT ALL WORTH THE PRICE FOR A SO CALLED UPSCALE HOTEL - SEVERELY UNDER MANAGED
- johnsonl951 (2/5): Extremely poor service, long waits, terrible odds. Why go? - Service has gone extremely downhill with complete trash games. Don’t get scammed here.
Is it fun driving through DC traffic, navigating a parking garage with unsavory characters, waiting 45 min for a bartender to serve 3 people, and sitting down to play games you have a 45% chance of winning at best? Or playing with unprofessional dealers and pit bosses like Vernell and Lucky that threaten you for calling out a dealers mistake?
- D6754BHphiliph (10/5): Starting the Weekend at MGM - The hotel resort is very well appointed with modern amenities in the room. The restaurants are very nice but quite busy. We enjoyed the variety of slot machines modern functional and quite fun
- Willie (10/5): - Wonderful place to enjoy a concert and casino. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Sopheria (10/5): - Yes
- Lakeisha (10/5): - I had a amazing time @MGM from checking in with shanill , we were upgraded to a suite look at god, she has a great spirit she is a great asset to your customer service team, i seen my favorite basketball player in the casino ,i won some money, our room was cleaned rate at 1million
- 516tiffaneya (2/5): No hot water - Come to this hotel mainly for the convenience at the casino, but this is the second time we’ve had an issue with not having hot water. Even after her contact and guest services, it did not get fixed and you’re forced to take a freezing shower.
- 39matthewe (2/5): Mixed experince - Excellent Rooms, But Urgent Food Safety Concerns and Unconcerned Staff
My recent stay at MGM National Harbor, while attending a professional meeting, had two very different sides.
On the positive side, the rooms were absolutely fantastic—spacious, modern, and truly luxurious accommodations.
However, a major and concerning incident occurred with the food service. At the event buffet, I found that an item explicitly labeled as "Vegan" contained pork. When this serious mislabeling was brought to the attention of the staff, their response was surprisingly unconcerned and dismissive.
Beware: This lack of attention to accurate food labeling and the subsequent indifference from staff presents a critical safety risk. I urge anyone with severe food allergies, or strict dietary requirements, to be extremely cautious when dining at the MGM National Harbor until management addresses this serious lapse in food preparation and service protocol.
- 977tedo (4/5): No good reason to stay there - NOT SAFE for guests taller than 5’8”. Low protruding ceiling over beds anyone over 5’8” will bash their head on. Many other service and facility shortfalls. Location of the hotel terrible unless you like view and noise of Beltway.
- V4785UBcindyw (10/5): Helpful, friendly and efficient - I was at the MGM for business, my company was holding our annual summit for partners and end users, and all of the staff was very helpful and friendly.
- chadk191 (4/5): Not the Level of Quality I Expected - During my stay, I encountered several issues that impacted my overall experience. The room temperature would not cool below 73 degrees, which made it uncomfortable. The blackout curtains did not fully close, so the room stayed bright at night. In addition, the cleaning was not thorough, as there were clear signs the room had not been fully refreshed after the prior guest.
- Kenneth F (8/5): - Everything was great except the room would not get as cool as we wanted it and the hot water took forever to get hot. Had to run both bathroom faucets for 10 minutes for the water to get hot
- OnAir03299914048 (10/5): Great event venue! - Beautiful property and event staff was fantastic. Every employee we interacted with was great. Room was clean and well appointed.
- Victoria (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms had a great view and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel!
- Michelle (10/5): - Nice stay after watching a show in the theater.
- douglasjV4989PB (10/5): Top Level Service at a Great Value!!! - excellent experience, great job from a very attentive staff!!
Every interaction with the staff here was top notch.
amenities were excellent!!
- bradgW6015CK (2/5): Muddy Water!! - One of the worst experiences I have had in my 30 years of travel. The hotel is beautiful, but the management and front desk staff did not follow through on their promises to make accommodations for the fact that I had water issues throughout my entire stay. The worst came when I woke up, brushed my teeth and discovered the water was the color of chocolate milk.
They did maintenance on the system in the middle of the night, knew it was going to push muddy water and didn't alert anyone on the floor. When I called the front desk I was told "no one else is complaining about their water". Was told to continue running the water till it cleared.
I did for a straight hour! Missed my morning meetings and set my entire schedule back the entire day. I was made grand promises by the management, but none of them EVER followed through....... They just wanted me out of the hotel and had no intentions of making it right as they told me they would.
- I425LHmartinh (10/5): A great location for a business conference - I visited this location for a yearly business conference. Although I don't gamble, I found enough to do around the facility to keep me entertained. All staff I interacted with were very polite and helpful. The common areas and rooms are kept clean, and the rooms were well furnished and ample. Fitness facility had enough equipment for my needs and the food (in the convention hall and restaurants we tried) was suitable to a good experience.
- WillingToTraveler (10/5): MGM National Harbour offers a great experience! - Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! We have no complaints only praises. The staff made sure we felt at home. Thank you for a great experience.
- danielpI1056ID (4/5): Way too loud for me! - Stayed at this hotel for a conference. It is loud and noisy to the point where you can’t think straight. The only peace is in your bedroom. It was too much for me. Having said this, the bedrooms are comfy.
- W5542QAtamarag (2/5): Terrible service and will charge you for minibar! - Absolutely terrible service all around! And they don’t care. Got charged for items from the minibar, even though I never even touched the items! Took me over a month to get reimbursed and several emails and phone calls. They told me I would get a refund of my points that I had used due to my horrible stay and then never gave them back and refused. Steer clear they clearly don’t care about their customers. I will never go back to Mgm Natl Harbor.
- michaelgK6805TU (10/5): A very memorable birthday. - It's My wife's birthday and she was very happy with our accommodations, the property, the gaming was excellent, the staff is courteous, we really enjoyed ourselves at the ntl harbor MGM, I highly recommend this property if you love elegance and fun.
- rvt514 (10/5): A wonderful weekend visit! - Very accommodating staff. From check-in to housekeeping to checkout. Pool staff were very courteous and helpful. Very watchful eyes! Fatima in front desk was amazing and very cordial. Overall our experience was awesome.
- Catherine (10/5): Great stay - The bed was very comfortable, had a little trouble getting hot water for the shower.
- MICHAEL (10/5): - Staff was pleasant. Great hotel
- Traveler63539401861 (2/5): Not what I would expect from an MGM property. - The bell service team was much to be desired. A 13 minute wait for luggage as the front desk could not locate a bellman or bell services manager is unacceptable. The glasses in the guest room were covered with dust, I would imagine they haven't been touched in weeks, made me question the cleanliness of the guest room and hotel as a whole. Would not stay again.
- Arletta (8/5): - It was good
- Cheena89 (2/5): Disappointing Stay – Poor Service and Lack of Quality Control - This is only day two of my trip, and day one was already horrendous.
• The first room was not properly cleaned and the AC wasn’t working.
• An engineer came to make repairs, but the room became smoldering hot afterward. By 3 a.m., we had to request a new room because the conditions were unbearable.
• The front desk staff we dealt with were unprofessional and lacked even basic conflict resolution or problem-solving skills. It felt like they weren’t trained to handle guest issues at all.
• We had to specifically ask a manager to verify that the new room’s AC worked before we moved, which should have been standard procedure.
• Both rooms we encountered showed signs of wear and tear, and the cleaning staff clearly missed important details.
This property desperately needs a strong quality control team. MGM has the name and the reputation, but the execution here was far below standard for a luxury resort.
- Francis (10/5): - We only stayed a night for a concert
- Christopher (8/5): - Nice casino and decent rooms. Excellent dining options.
- alexissK1064AG (8/5): Nice place great shows and play - Rooms are very nice and some of the check in staff are helpful. Had some hiccups but staff fix it. Decent play, and location, must visit if you have a chance!
- Terry (10/5): - Building
- Shanteria (10/5): - Check in staff was amazing.
- Dorothy (8/5): - None
- angalitab2022 (10/5): Unforgettably BEAUTIFUL. - My husband’s 60th birthday surprise stay was amazing. View was spectacular, valet each time was prompt, front staff especially Charleston was fabulous and his restaurant recommendation was flawless. Nice win at the casino after 10 minutes…we can’t WAIT to return!!
- wswatkins2025 (10/5): Wife's 58th anniversary - very upscale hotel and plenty of gaming opportunities makes it a great place to get away and enjoy comfort clean as a pin nothing to upset your valuable time easy to get in and when you leave it was a breeze
- Connector33606909874 (6/5): Great place struggling to give great service - This is a hit and miss place. A lot of the restaurants and shops are staffed with undertrained employees that will talk to you as if they are doing you a favor. Few are amazing. It’s a shame because the location and facilities are pretty great!
- SATISH (8/5): - PUBLIC BATHROOM IN CASINO- HORRIBLY DIRTY
BATHROOM IN ROOM-OK
MAINLY SINKS GET WATER EVERYWHERE
- Mobile48372396420 (8/5): A fun time! - We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful and the staff all around were very friendly and courteous. Food was good. We plan to visit again.
- Barbara (8/5): - Enjoyed the steak house restaurant
- BoardingPass820266 (10/5): Fun - Cool place to stay. The rooms somewhat smaller than I expected it to be but very comfortable bed and pillows omg can’t wait to go again
- An hsiang (10/5): - Excellent
- M5497AYandrewg (2/5): DO NOT GO TO THE MG. GRAND AT NATIONAL HARBOR NEAR WASHINGTON DC - This hotel MGM GRAND National Harbor is TERRIBLE.
1.upon arrival via uber NO ONE HELPED WITH THE LUGGAGE
The front desk never picks up the phone
2 looking for Ice machine, because the bell hop taking our luggage to the room ran off before we could ask for ice
3, In room dining; a farce. They told us when trying to order in room breakfast “ That person is busy delivering We will call you back in 20 minutes”. They never called
THE MENU WAS ACTUALLY THE MENU FROM THE FOOD COURT THAT WAS AT THE TOTAL OPPOSITE END OF THE HOTEL The food court menu was exactly the same as the in room dining menu
4. The pitiful spa. My girlfriend had a 5pm massage appointment, which she was exactly on time for. The attendant took her on a tour of the spa got her a Rob etc.
AFTER ONLY 20 MINUTES OF MASSAGE , THEY STOPPED THE MASSAGE AND TOLD HER THE SESSION WAS OVER (they wasted her session time showing her around etc)
She notified me, in an upset state and J called down to the SPA DIRECTLY
I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE. THE REPLY “No one is in charge and he hung up on me”
Do yourself a favor GO TO ANY OTHER HOTEL AT THE NATIONAL HARBOR EXCEPT
MGM GRAND Even a comfort inn would beat the pants off of this place
- Indyah (4/5): - $1400 almost $1500 for two nights and I feel like I would’ve gotten better service at a smaller hotel (Marriott, holiday inn). The curtains in the room literally would not stay shut so the room only got dark at nig
- patadkins2 (10/5): Overpriced room and no refrigerator space to add your items - The only thing I don't like about mgm hotel is that the rooms are plain and overpriced. I would also recommend that they give you a refrigerator that you can put your things in.
- Emanuele (4/5): - Poor customer service
- Passport29894595121 (2/5): Cleaned wallet as your rooms - Vacuum cleaner, rudest people disgusting breakfast and you have to pay for your drinks!!! Unreal!!!! Extremely expensive!!!!!
But really clean rooms.
I’ve been an mgm player for about 19 years and this is a property that I would never recommend to visit this location for gambling, I tried every single slot machine I was able to since I ran out of money for one place!!! The tables,, hahahaha they were not different, we sat with $800 and left in 5 minutes totally broke and they have no low bets !!!
- TASHA (10/5): - The staff was very welcoming!
- Delois (8/5): Beautiful ambiance and comfort. Needs Hot water - The stay was great but had to have technician fix the water because the temperature was set to cold water only. Outside of that it was great!
- 35kristinea (10/5): Great Stay! - Excellent customer service at check-in and the room was clean, sleek and modern! Outside pool is nice located on 2nd floor. VIP
lounge only provides juice, water and soda.
- marciam19732021 (10/5): Great location for MGM hotel / casino - This hotel was very nice and also had great food options.
I went with a family member who signed up for the MGM card and as a new player and her birthday month was given 2 free spins at the machine.
She won $1,000 free bet and played it at the slots and walk away with $800 cash. She was so happy!!
Hotel is also close to the Harbor and there is lots of stuff to do over there with restaurants etc
Highly recommend to stay here!!
- Louis (10/5): - Maurice was very welcoming upon checking in and the room was really nice,, I would not go back to the steak restaurant,, staff was great, food was not.
- danreese2017 (10/5): A Gem in DC - Excellent location, classic design, elegant decor, fantastic service, delicious food and best Casino East of the Mississippi!!
- Vacationer813822 (2/5): AVOID. - AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.
Casino: They will let just about anyone in. Homeless vagrants with backpacks are seen aimlessly wandering around. Many individuals who go into the casino floor do not even have intentions of playing, I’ve observed many just sitting at machines on their phones creepily staring at people.
Customer service at every bar was pathetic, and you are overcharged for every drink.
“Clientele” is questionable; I’ve had unfortunate experiences where random casino patrons asked me for gas money, another instance where someone asked me to lend them $20, and another individual ask me to buy him a drink at the bar after staring down my wife. I’ve also observed individuals who aren’t even playing casino games staring down girls/women head to toe, while cat-calling and/or continuing to stare.
Customer Service: This joke of an establishment LOVES to default any service issues to “MGM Member Services.” If early check in is desired, they will charge you an extra $125 before 2pm.
Hotel rooms: Outdated, inconsistent A/C function, mini-bar grossly overpriced with no room to store personal beverages, foul “odor” in the hallways of floors, TV remote connection to control television had weak signal, STAINS found in bedsheets upon walking into the room (make sure to inspect your beds), and internet does not work
Restaurant/Services: The in-room dining service ends at 4pm (so you are unable to order anything after that, including dinner). Dined with Ginger, the Asian themed restaurant on the Casino floor. After 10 minutes, we had two different waiters who did not introduce themselves ask us what we wanted to drink (first red flag of mismanagement), drink order was partial/missing, food was mediocre and you are better off eating at Panda Express, all menu items overpriced, and service was embarrassing.
Shops: At 3pm, NEARLY EVERY SINGLE STORE IS CLOSED. Stores that have posted operating hours were closed during times indicated when they were supposed to be open.
- 183dungh (2/5): Pretty on the outside, but not very well kept on the inside. - The property is very poorly managed the rooms were dusty and dirty, and with loose fixture had to request to clean the room and fix the problem twice waste of my time the pool area had mold all around the pool and a water ring all around the water line, the umbrella were broken. The light fixtures was also broken The lounge chairs were dirty. It looked like it never had been cleaned. On top of that, there was no bath towels available for the three hours. I was in the pool had I known I would’ve taken bath towels from the room. It was a weekday and it wasn’t even that busy and they blame it on overwhelmed with Customer, which is BS.
- Fearless610259 (10/5): Another great stay - Everything was wonderful! The room was clean comfortable and had a great view! We had a lovely breakfast from the Pasterie! And the slots were fun! There were so many new Slots to choose from! I love the Buffalo and the Fire Link areas.
- aglaedg (10/5): Stay MGM National Harbor - Very comfortable room and spacious. Food was good. I was attending a conference and the experience was excellent. My only concern was that the main restaurant was closed. I still had a good time.
- Vanessa (8/5): - Loved the experience
- Ashlee (10/5): - Quick and easy stay for a show. Everything you need is available within the resort.
- Julia (8/5): - Was very disappointed the Italian restaurant was closed on a Thursday night. The steakhouse was very expensive which left us with limited options.
- Walinda (8/5): - Check in and out very fast, the room is clean and they are very friendly
- mcmikeyv (6/5): Odd smell - This is a very expensive hotel to stay in. Probably because of the Casino, the prices of everything were really high. The hallways had an odd smell to them.
- M9350HTjacqueliner (10/5): Very satisfied - The room was very clean and had the best view. The staff were friendly and informative. Perfect place for my birthday. Wonderful restaurants.
- Dreamer30998843284 (2/5): Not for families - Would not recommend staying here with a family. No door to the bathroom, shower is frosted glass and see through, and you can buy condoms in your room. We only stayed there as it was our only option for a room block at a nearby event. Would definitely not stay there again.
- Sunshine15621999756 (8/5): July family trip to Maryland - The ambience is great and hotel rooms are exceptional . The interior decoration in casino floor is great and also the view .
- Katherine (4/5): Go elsewhere - Charged me for late check out even though I called the night before and got it approved. Over charged for resort fee x2. Weird restaurants and most aren’t even open during the work week. Not a great experience here and I travel for work almost every week. Stay elsewhere in National Harbor!
- Ashaundria (8/5): - I enjoyed my stay at MGM loved that i got to experience the clean rooms.
- angelacain (2/5): Beware of dismissive host and deranged valet Brent - The room was nice, a little issue on side bed. It was the casino staff that ruined my trip. They were incompetent and some abrupt and rude. What should have been a minor fixable problem, was dismissed with me not being helped after spending a sizeable amount of money. It will not happen again. The overnight valet guy, they say his name is Brent and is some kind of supervisor. He is one obnoxious character and provocative. He kept mouthing off trying to get me to engage but I didn't. I waited for the manager came to park my car. Brent should never be driving cars. He is rough with them and dangerous from what I observed.
