Great food, live music, atmosphere in waiting area, fireplace, Great location ,free parking. Unfortunately, the hotel can't deliver the service I was offered. I was celebrating my 10th anniversary with my fiancé. I ordered a special package to the room for 50 pounds, and I didn't receive it. Very disappointed about that. Even though I received a Prosecco as a prologue, it doesn't compensate.

Stephen (9/5): Generally an excellent quality hotel with friendly and efficient staff, very enjoyable experience - Very well appointed, apparently refurbished recently with good decor and furnishings and modern fittings. Ample free private car parking on site. Good food, good choices for breakfast and dinner, freshly prepared to order and prompt service. Attentive and polite staff. A little further walking distance from the harbour front shops, restaurants etc than we had anticipated

David (9/5): Lovely relaxing weekend away in Torquay. - Breakfast was wonderful, but you need to make the request you want, and how much of it you want. If you dont specify you'll get one item of each, but you can ask for more when you order, and change it from the menu. Sauna,pool and Steam room were good for our stay, but it it was at all busy, I think there would be problems with space. The staff were lovely and inviting, including those during breakfast. Bed was good but the pillows were rock hard. The pool was too cold, even before going in the sauna. Felt more like a plunge pool really, but too cold to stay in.

DAVID (6/5): Won’t bother returning. - It was available with parking Overpriced. Rooms are tiny. Was charged extra for an espresso coffee in the morning, coffee was bitter and muddy, left a bad taste in my mouth at every level.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. An extra plus for the milk and water in the fridge, changed daily. Hoping to return to chill out.
jot75 (10/5): Excellent stay - Stayed for five days in a first floor room. Overall the hotel is excellent, staff friendly and helpful, hotel clean and welcoming, good ambience. Our room was spotlessly clean, serviced daily, had drinks facility, fresh milk, fridge etc. Really good. Only slight issue is the room is warm and windows only open a bit..too much though and noise from nearby main road. Probably could do with Aircon units especially I guess in the summer. Restaurant was good, staff efficient and mostly friendly. The food was nice and with good portions though the menu doesn't change a lot throughout the week, but there is still quite a good choice. Good range of drinks available at reasonable prices. We used the swimming pool/steam room... Very clean and accessible. Pool a little chilly (others said the same) even though the receptionist said it was warm! But it was okay and nice to be the only ones in there. Overall a lovely stay and would come back again so definitely recommended.
610gillf (10/5): Lovely stay - Fabulous stay at the hotel, the food was delicious, very relaxing with a piano playing in the background. The entertainment with the singers was lovely and took us back in time. The shower was fabulous and the rooms beautifully decorated. Staff were attractive and nothing too much trouble. Bingo and a quiz was fun. We will be back.
lyndap930 (10/5): Superb stay - What an amazing hotel. Cannot fault anything about it from the warmth of the staff to the spotless clean rooms. The food is also quite something. Dinners are superb and the breakfasts are perfect. The breakfast chef came out to ask how everything was, what a lovely man. Directed us to Totnes and Brixham to see quaint villages. We will definitely book for next year. We have found our happy place.

KatieM43 (10/5): Gem of a find! - A gem of a find! Absolutely spotless from top to bottom, smelt great, warm and extremely friendly knowledgeable staff. The room was a great size, as for the bathroom and the price, including breakfast was fantastic. 1 tiny constructive criticism....I have a shellfish and nut allergy and unfortunately they don't have an allergen fryer for say, chips.... I really fancied the skinny fries, but upon asking a staff member who checked with the kitchen, I was told everything went in the same fryer. A shame, but what i did have to eat was delicious and a good price. What's included is full use of pool and gym also, which my husband and I, as workout enthusiasts, really enjoyed the gym at 8am. Clean, well equipped. 100% will return, and will point others in their direction!

All thestaff polite and attentiv. One waitress went above and beyond to enzue we enjoyed our meal. Clenliness was outstanding. Food portions are erratic. . See above.

Simpson (10/5): Fabulous hotel - Fabulous stay in this amazing hotel, lots of little extras in the room for example oranges and apples in a fruit bowl, fresh milk in the fridge aswell as a sweet treat each and a bottle of chilled water. Great selection of herbal teas. Bed was really comfortable with firmish pillows. Massive shower in the large bathroom. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant with a very polite waitress. Breakfast was so tasty. I had an amazing back neck and shoulder massage which i would highly recommend, just what i needed. Free parking at the hotel which is very close to the sea front.I Highly recommend this lovely hotel. There are quite a few stairs.
Tan36 (9/5): Great location - The staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel was clean, nice decor, comfy seating and welcoming. The shower was good, excellent location, nice food. The little touches of milk in the fridge and mini treats, the fruit and different types of teas is really nice. I did not like the bedding as every time you moved it made a noise, reminded me of hospital bedding, also the mattress in that room, I think will need to be changed soon.

mariag868 (10/5): Social weekend - Wow where do i start..first time at this hotel,arrived as part of a group ....very impressed..staff are professional and service excellent...food was amazing ,bedroom was perfect ,would definately reccomend and cant wait to return ..well done everyone and big thank you for amazing comfortable stay .

Eric Aryee (9/5): - Very clean and hospitable hotel. Staff were very courteous, polite and helpful. They were dressed in a professional manner and seemed to have represented the hotel management well. The evening entertainment was also very nice and light hearted. My shower was so small and glassed in that I could hardly move.

237lizzier (2/5): Don't bother - As lactose intolerant 99% of the menu had something I couldn't eat so ordered the "steak" burger Theres no way this was a 5% fat steak burger as had bristle inside it The fries were straight out of a McDonald's and so salty I had trouble eating them I told the waitress who didn't offer other ones that weren't caked in salt but she said she would tell the chef Surely in 2026 I can opt out for no salt ???? The bun was awful and the salad was dosed in oil and all the leaves had turned bad All this for a whopping £18 I will never eat here again My friend had the mushroom ravioli for £18 also but only got 3 pieces of ravioli Absolute disgrace

Victoria Ann (9/5): A nice short break Rich in history and culture - The Staff The Bed The Quiet location The Food The views The coastal paths to walk After asking the Gentleman cleaning the rooms Not to come in! As we saw he had eneterd another room of a gentleman on floor 105 who was using the bathroom! We was skeptical. NO, we did not need anything NO, we are fine. Left our rubbish neatly outside our door all bagged up. WITH A PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN on the door. He still entered the room! Very uncomfortable Very .... strange:( Money on counter Handbag with passports and IDs Bank cards in Personal Medical supplies out :( Privacy invaded :(

Voyager09269103675 (10/5): We shall return! - Had a meal with friends, Sunday lunch. Could not find fault with any aspect. From the moment we walked in to leaving ( some hours later ). Food excellent, service faultless, location stunning.

Redhill1971 (10/5): Best Hotel in Torquay - We have stayed at the Belgrave Sands Hotel & Spa about 8 times now and it's still the best hotel in Torquay by far !!! The rooms are all set to a fabulous high standard with everything you require for a excellent stay. The food is delicious and presented with grace with a great choice to suit everyone, the staff make you feel welcome a soon as you walk through the front door, I would definitely recommend and return.
Clementi007 (10/5): Another Fabulous Stay! - We took a cosy winter break for seven nights - can’t fault the hotel at all, my husband’s in a wheelchair and the staff were wonderful helping him when needed. All the staff are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Tye did is delicious, amazing breakfasts and six course evening dinner with a pianist every night, plus a cabaret on some nights to enjoy a dance or two (even my husband joined in with some wheelchair dancing). In loved taking a swim in the spa every afternoon. It’s also the little things that made it fire me - the tasty bread roll served with the evening meal, plus really lovely bread in the mornings, and delicious yoghurts. The scrambled egg was perfection - never had such delicious scrambled egg anywhere. We hope to be back for another stay soon!

Janet (9/5): Quality stay at quality hotel. - The breakfast was amazing full continental including cheeses and hams..and you can order a full english from your table too. The location is just up the hill from the sea front very convenient. We hadnt booked dinner in advance but we had it on first evening. It was all very good but the dinner menu was too rich for us prefer more simple fare.

shazza1963 (10/5): 4* Hotel-2* Spa - Me and Daughter stayed for 1 night on Tuesday 6th Jan, this was our last hotel to stay at in Torquay as we have stayed at all of them that had either a spa or pool, and wow Hotel, Room, and Staff was absolutely fantastic and the cleanliness of the whole place was one of the best I have ever seen, well done to your cleaners, we really do hope they are top money because they so deserve it. The SPA???? well to be honest it will depend on what you call a spa? The pool was small and cold, I was told it was a permanent 38degrees but that just doesn't seem correct to me and I was told I was the first person in 2 years to complain about this???,As said we have stayed in a lot of spa? Pool hotels and even some of the very basic hotel the pool was warmer, maybe it was just me and daughter thought is was cold but would be interested to see what others thought. Also to get to the treatment rooms who have to walk pass the pool and I actually saw a few people walking with their outside shoes on which is totally not acceptable, Why would you let anyone walk around the pool side and sit there with your shoes it beggars belief. when I asked the lady who was giving the treatments where did I top the bucket up for water for the sauna I was told the sink in the toilet? Nope you can not fill the bucket in any sink but you can fill it in the shower cubical. Anyway 10-10 for the hotel and service but it is a hotel that offers and indoor pool with treatments not a spa.
