Happy for us to check in slightly earlier. Room was exactly as I was lead to believe from pictures and based on the price. Think this would be an ideal room for a family of four to base themselves and explore the area or for groups of friends. Downstairs has a shared cooking and lounge area. Secure with CTV in appropriate areas and keypad access to enter building. Nothing based on my expectations and nightly rate.

- Catana (9/5): Being close to the beach is a big plus. - The hotel has a great location — just a five-minute walk to the beach. Easy to go for a morning stroll, come back to rest during the day, and head out again in the evening. The area is quiet, and there's a café nearby. The bathroom faucet leaked throughout the stay, and the drain clogged after every shower. I reported the issue at reception and was told it would be fixed the next day, but no repair was made during my entire visit.

The staff are amazing and so accommodating and great at communicating. I genuinely don’t have any points to add here. I’ll absolutely be back again! I haven’t been disappointed on either of my stays.

- Laura (5/5): Not great - Location Room was extremely small, beds were hard, no blind in the bedroom to keep the light out of the room, shower basin was filling up with water whilst showering, rooms wernt cleaned we stayed there for 3 nights, no parking on premises had to find somewhere to park everyday, no breakfast or food facilities on site, only if your took your own, no clean towels put in the room had to go down for them daily, never any staff in site when needed.

Reported to reception they report to manager who told me they can check it is safe, it was not , told me could remove bunk bed and daughter had to sleep with me not acceptable practical or right she is a teenager ! my daughter is a teenager , to be told school kids had stayed In The bed the night before and the teacher thought it was ok . 1. Teacher is not the child’s parent , good job no accidents occurred 2. It was not attached to anything was on stilts 3 the rudeness of manager when asked for room to be changed or refund , declined and was fully booked . Come away for weekend with daughter could not sleep with her sharing the bed with me , other people staying must have been disturbed by other people staying on that floor banging the doors cause lost keys inside and out , very loud early hours of morning for over 2 hours , had no sleep ,scared daughter no manager present or staff to deal with the situation witch ruined are stay and what we had planned .will not recommend this place to no one .

- Krista (3/5): I felt unsafe and it was unfriendly and uncomfortable - It was in a central location to Newquay and the beaches I was moved to a property I hadn’t booked without explanation, not given sufficient instructions on how to check in (there were no staff and the phone numbers I was given weren’t working). I felt unsafe, no lock on the room door, massive gap under the door, shady characters. The room looked clean to begin with but the duvet had literal mould on it and the bed topper had stains on it and the throw cushions had not been cleaned recently. There was no bedside lamp so I had to sleep with the main lights on as I felt unsafe in the complete dark.

The shower and toilet facilities were great and the beds, very comfortable. The large television, with free view built in was fantastic anad the overall experience was very enjoyable. No where to put things, a rail was above the same alcove that the kettle lives in, is that even safe to have clothes hung so near to steam/water and electrical extension lead. Extension lead as hardly any plug sockets! 1 tiny little bedside table between 3 people. The room was on the top floor up numerous flights of steps and this was a struggle for my elderly mum, my son also had a disability. The shower was so small you couldn’t bend down and the shower door did not close. When I rang the reception to tell them we were checking out early he wasn’t interested and ended the call before I had chance to explain. The room was advertised with breakfast available but they do not provide breakfast. This is misleading. All in all unsuitable and not accessible for elderly or disabilities. The Lodge should make it clear that the accommodation may not be suitable.

The back of bed head board opened to the shower . The shower room was so small. The lounge area had no fridge working when asked about the fridge to put milk in I was simply told it's not working.. No television was on. There was only water available for you to fill the kettle up. The staff were not friendly. When asked for a towel or flannel they had none left. Honestly very disappointing Would not stay their again and would not recommend it to anyone.

- Arkadiusz (4/5): place to sleep, washup and watch a bit of TV after a day out - comfy beds, nice staff who try to be helpful. but their establishment needs proper refurb The Carpet was 40 years old very tattered with many old stains, Furniture in the room is equally old, looks like something you pickup from a charity shop or a skip. the entire interior renovation was done by someone who has no style. they used rough chipboard as a wall and bedrest which looks awful, the top bunk (5th space) has a completely vertical ladder and is very difficult to access even for a fit person and the bed itself is shorter, not adult size, there is only about 0.5m gap in that hole between mattress and ceiling. there is some random pull up bar hanged on the beam. the pull up bar itself is wobbly so looks almost like an accident or dmaage claim waiting to happen should someone choose to try it. the windows had no net curtains only night blinds, which means if you want light in the room you are seen by everyone on the high street and in buildings across. the neighbourhood was very dodgy, there was arguments going on late into the night from people who are either drunk or on drugs. While there was a couple of families who ended up here like us, I don't think most stayed 5 days, it seemed a place to stop over for 1 night max just to have somewhere to lay your head. there is no breakfast, they have rules about not eating in the room but the lounge where they expect us to eat was locked on one occassion and did not have basic utensils such as bread knife or a proper cutting board. clearly the expectation is that you do not eat there, or make any sort of meal, not to mention hot meals as there is only a 'bar' - always closed , derelict with only empty beer glasses behind it. so you have to manage with one cutting board for some breakfast then wash up in a tiny bar sink and off you go. the lobby is equally shabby with decade old dirty carpets. the outer door is always open so the code is not used, which means the only thing that protects you against outside intruders is your flimsy lock on the door which is just a simple deadlock nightlatch.

Bathroom was really dirty and there were no 1 plug socket in a 'deluxe 2 double bedroom" which it had bank beds to the ceiling. Very well advertised as it tricked us. Staff were nice enough

- Rogers (9/5): - Good hotel for a short stay. Clean, quiet, Wi-Fi and fridge in the room. Close to the beach. But the shower drain is clogged — water drains slowly. Tolerable for a couple of days. Everything else — fine.

- caroline (8/5): Excellent customer service - We had 2 adults and 1 child and the room booking.com allowed us to book was much too small for us. The hotel said they don’t normally have 3 in the room. They dealt with our concern and moved us to their sister hotel which was a fantastic room. They really went above to make sure we had a good stay. The room we did have originally would have been fine for 1 max 2 people but not 3.
- Lucy (6/5): Would recommend for location, decent hotel - I loved the location of the property it was close to everything it was fantastic, room was cool as well with 3 beds in the air. The cleanliness, the food area was full of crumbs, sticky floor. Stains on half of the towels we were given. Sticky stains inside of the drawers. We also were given a room key that was for a room someone else was staying in (quickly resolved by a member of staff but miscommunication could of been avoided)
