I didnt want to travel from Defuniak Springs - traffic was awful not that it is your fault. the room was ok but clean. it smelled musty though. not to mention $200 for one night is a bit ridiculous especially in the middle of the week. I should have stayed at an Airbnb the price

Kristen (10/5): Absolutely amazing stay - we will be back. - The property was extremely clean, centrally located to everything we wanted to do and the staff was amazing! I also wanted to comment on the breakfast: Mama Mary is a very caring cook and it shows in her food. She has many gluten free options (as a celiac that is very important) and an allergen list of all food prepared. I’d have to be nit-picking, honestly, if I were to find something I didn’t like.

Joyce (10/5): Great location and stay. - I was in town for my high school class reunion. I booked Hampton in based on location and a previous visit just to scout out possible hotels to stay at for the reunion. Malcolm was very friendly and personable and talked to me about the hotel and facilities. He gave me a quick peak at one of the rooms and everything looked great. I booked the room and recommended the hotel to a friend who was also attending the reunion. Upon my arrival for the date of my stay, I was greeted by Carrie who was Amazing. Carrie was so warm , friendly and very welcoming. She got me a room very close to my friend’s room and checked on me to make sure that everything was good. My room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The room had everything I needed (hair dryer, iron, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker). We took advantage of the 24 hr coffee bar. The breakfast ,that was served every day downstairs in the lobby, was very good and had a great variety of options. Tyesha was sweet and efficient and did a wonderful job of keeping everything replenished. I enjoyed my stay very much and cannot say enough about the wonderful staff that I encountered. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thank you! There was nothing that I didn’t like.

Ein weiterer Pluspunkt war, dass das Frühstück inbegriffen war. Die Aussicht von unserem Hotelzimmer war nicht sehr schön: Man blickte direkt auf einen großen Parkplatz.

The person cleaning up the breakfast area always made sure it was clean and if the food need to be replaced she made sure there was always enough food for everyone. My overall experience was so worth my money I will definitely be staying here again!!

They're really, really lovely. We haven't come to expect much from large chain hotels, but this was hands down the cleanest we've stayed at. No weird mystery stains in the room or signs of neglect. Kuddos to the housekeeping staff. It was impressive. The room was large and well thought out. The breakfast was a pretty standard hotel breakfast. It was always fully stocked. Parking here is free and easy to access. We were visiting our son at Hurlburt Field and the location couldn't have been better for that. So impressed with this hotel. The pillows and bed are hotel standard. Pillows were super flat and the bed was bouncy. This is basically what I expected, it's just never great, and not unique to this hotel.

mikisme (10/5): Wonderful visit - My wife and I have stayed there several times. Each visit is like coming home to family. The property and rooms have always been very well maintained. Mary, the kitchen manager greets everyone with a warm smile each morning and a hearty delicious breakfast.Aicha, the general manager, is always warm and helpful , going out of her way to ensure a pleasant visit . Looking forward to our next stay.

Sreagan82 (7/5): A good choice in Mary Esther but not excellent - We stayed three nights, and they were fine. Breakfast was ok, bedding and linens were typical of Hampton - comfortable. Location was good for getting to a few places on our itinerary. The room showed lots of wear. Dents and dings and scratches on the furniture, marks on the walls.

The Breakfast staff provided excellent breakfast and the Staff was very nice. The hotel is close to local beaches, restaurants, and short drive to Destin. I would stay at this hotel again.
