- ALLAN (8/5): it met our needs, great location, friendly staff, good quite room, nice breakfast and good priced - Fresh fruit, hard boiled egg, OJ and coffee - life is good! Not a fan of the new style blankets - prefer cotton base.
- Colette (8/5): Very pleasant and unexceptional. - The breakfast was fine. Nothing special. The granola was soggy. I found it annoying that there is no public restroom and that I had to go all the way back to my room after breakfast to use the bathroom.
- Gillian (8/5): A very nice BnB but a bit of a drive to restaurants and shops - This is a very nice BnB between Kent and Cornwall CT. The room was large and comfortable. The BnB has limited facilities -it does have a pool but it was closing for the season on the day we arrived. The surrounding area is lovely countryside and hills. We found the 15 minute winding drive back and forth to Kent all the time for meals and shops was rather tiring after a while. There is nothing in the immediate vicinity of the BnB although there are also limited shops and restaurants in Cornwall about 10 mins in the other direction.

- Richard (10/5): - Overall our stay at the Inn was very good, the Inn is conveniently located just outside the town of Kent in the center of the Litchfield Hills Region of Northwestern Connecticut. Beautiful area, lots to see and do. Enjoyed an excellent complementary continental breakfast buffet each morning. There is a slightly irregular outside stairway to a couple of upper level rooms which might require a little extra caution

- Jared (4/5): - Overall, I was disappointed with my stay. Neither WiFi network worked and cell service was terrible in the area. Shower pressure was way too high. The room was pretty clean, but seeing a collection of bugs in the bathroom light as well as dust on the air conditioner was a bit of a turn-off.

- Ginger (4/5): Deeply disappointed. - It was in a good location to see family. I was offered a refund for the last night if I wanted to check out early, which I did. I could not sleep on that old mattress one more night. The BEDS were OLD AND UNCOMFORTABLE. They tried to gas-light me insisting the mattresses had just been replaced. Then changed their story when I questioned them. The room smelled old like an old boat smell.
- Sheila (8/5): - We loved our stay at the Cornwall Inn. The staff was excellent and always ready to be of help. However, there were two problems: in the entryway between the buffet breakfast area and the sign-in area I fell on the raised area of the floor (I was not hurt). We asked that the area be marked, and it was immediately, But perhaps something more permanent should be done to prevent any further falls. Secondly, the stairs up to Lodge 7 were very difficult to navigate. Anything you could do to make them smoother and the handrails better would really be a help.

The owners were over the top friendly and helpful. The recommended things to do and great places to eat in the area. The pool was sparkling and the breakfast was tasty and did the job. Great place. While on a busy road it was not noisy in our room. Place had few faults.

Also received a complimentary continental breakfast and glass of wine in the evening. Ideal location fir tour of New England. Short trip to find a good restaurant for an evening meal as suggested by the host. Having a kettle in the room would be good but we had free access to the breakfast room where we could heat water for a cup of tea!

- Monica (2/5): Disappointing - The property is in a good location The room we got, listed as a double room, had a single bed. The room had a musty smell and was dark. The price of 457 for two nights was unreasonable. There are no staff manning the place at the lobby at any time. It’s a help yourself and call us if you need anything type of situation. I had to rent another room at another hotel as the staff were not willing to help and they don’t have extra beds. The bed they call a queen is no bigger than a full size bed. They told me they had actually upgraded me bc the room I booked did not have a bathroom which is also not stated in Booking.com. They did send an email confirming with font that was so small it was not legible. Read the fine print if you can! Terrible experience and not worth the money.

Location near Kent center, West Cornwall covered bridge, and Kent Falls State Park was very good. Room was cozy with two chairs. Breakfast could have been a bit more plentiful. Email had asked if we planned to have breakfast which was scheduled for 8:30 to 10. We arrived at 8:45 and only one hard boiled egg left. We asked if any more available. At first they said no sorry, but later found one.

TV required 2 remotes, no big deal, and bathroom could use a place for personal items like a small mounted tray or stand. Continental breakfast was not cookie cutter like commercial places, but homemade goodies.

A beautiful covered bridge was a few miles one way from the Inn and Kent State Park with its glorious waterfall was a couple of miles in the other direction. Breakfast was nice with fruit and toast. There was facility to come into the dining room at anytime to make hot drinks. Parking was plentiful. There was an outdoor pool that was understandably closed when we were there as it was out of season. The bathroom was small and outdated. We know this is an old property but the shower cubicle was very small and the shower head immovable which was awkward. The pillows were not comfortable at all. We are used to old properties, being from the UK, but for the price this was even too rustic for us.

- Douglas (2/5): Beware - Unethical people unworthy of your patronage. I booked a mid-week stay several months in advance. Then, I was sent by my employer to China for a month, arriving home 5 days before my scheduled reservation. I cancelled immediately my reservation, providing 5 days notice, but was nonetheless charged. I sent an email explaining the situation. They did not respond. I called them and was told they wouldn't refund the charge. I disputed the bill with my credit card company. They lied in their response, stating I never explained the situation and that I cancelled with only two days notice. Their cancellation policy may be legal, but their actions and behavior fall short of the ethics of a respectable business.
- Marty (5/5): Great location; disappointing hotel - Location Breakfast was disappointing. The room is very small…too small for us. Not enough electrical outlets.
- Diane (8/5): Very good - This old-school lodge had gorgeous landscaping and our room was very quiet, especially given it's proximity to the road. The bed was comfortable, though the sheets could have been softer. The room had a sitting area with two comfortable chairs. In the evenings we were invited to enjoy a glass of wine free of charge. The breakfast spread was lovely, with choices of local baked goods, cereal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, and fresh fruit. The air conditioning unit was very loud even on the lowest fan setting.

For us, the drive to Norfolk for the Yale Music Festival was a bit too long - especially late at night and in thunderstomrs.
