Guest Reviews
- Mark (1/5): Shower didn’t work room smelled. Like shit lumpy bed and food gave me bad stomach pains and someone damaged my car . - It was near to work Really unfriendly land lord was treated like scum
- Colin (8/5): - Good location
- DG KK (10/5): Excellent value accomodation - Lovely accomodation newly decorated and run by a lovely lady called Liz , room very comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding . A great little place to stay when going to and from the ferry port. Looking forward to staying when im back from Ireland in a couple of weeks Only a minor point would have preferred the double bed rather than a twin room as I had booked only reason was my frame is slightly larger than the bed! But thats my issue
- Mark O (8/5): The room was small but adequate. The en suite shower and toilet had new tiles. - Breakfast was fine.
Bicycles were outside. In a gated yard and semi -secure, not visible to outsiders. The evening meals should have been better for the price. My pork chop was slightly pink - undercooked.
My friends gammon was thin and chips were soggy.
With not much change from £20 you expect attention to details.
- Helene (10/5): - Friendly, clean good value Nothing. All very good
- Harry (10/5): Really enjoyed my stay and it was good to have a chat with the landlord over a few beers. - Very friend staff who had good conversation and were accommodating.
When I arrived, I missed lunch hours but they were happy to put some food on for me which was a great touch. Slight damp smell in the bedroom but fine when bathroom door was shut.
- Cath (10/5): Absolutely fantastic highly recommended - Where do I start 😊 from the moment I walked in through the door I was made to feel at home, Steve Liz their 2 boys staff and the locals are absolutely brilliant. I was staying on my own with my dog, we both had a fantastic stay, Skye was spoilt rotten by all. The food that Liz cooks is fantastic, I had the gammon, it was huge and absolutely gorgeous. The breakfasts kept me going all day, local produce and so very tasty, nothing was too much trouble. I haven’t laughed so much in ages, even when I managed to lock myself in my room 🤣
The room itself, number 4, was spotless, comfy, had everything you could want, I’ve not slept that well for ages.
I cannot recommend this pub high enough, it’s a wonderful place to stay.
Thank you to all for making a stay a wonderful happy experience. Will definitely be returning 😊 There’s nothing I didn’t like, absolutely fabulous, I really didn’t want to leave!
- Stephen (8/5): It was fine - No marmalade.
- Simon (9/5): Fantastic value for money - Great value for money family run hotel. Room was comfortable, bathroom very good, shower fantastic.
Nice bar, great breakfast, lovely beer & excellent evening meal home cooked.
Fantastic value. Close to the coast, easy to find & get to. Loads of free parking on site. Quiet in the evening. Very flexible breakfast times ; options. Highly recommended. Lighting in the corridors times out too quickly.
Not suitable for disabled (not a problem for me).
Otherwise, nothing to fault.

- Ciara (10/5): - Lovely spacious room. Friendly staff. Quick check in. Didn't hear a sound from the pub downstairs and slept like a log. Very nice breakfast in the morning. Very convenient location. Plenty parking. Absolute bargain for the price! Nothing
- Paul (10/5): enjoyed the cask ales and rump steak in the bar in the evening. The room was spotless. - Breakfast was freshly cooked . There was a choice of cereals plus fruit juice.
- Julie (6/5): Very welcoming &friendly good food - Bedroom very dated bed linen & towels quite old, bath ad tape round the corner holding it together.
Black mold on the floor round the bath. Better towels & bed linen 2 bed side tables ont just one.
- Robert (10/5): I would definitely go back - Breakfast , lovely and relaxing in the evening It was all good
- Michael (6/5): -
- Richard (9/5): -
- David (8/5): Great place to stay and would definitely book again if returning to Anglesey. - Location is ideal to tour Anglesey, if you have a car. The owners and locals are extremely friendly. Breakfast is excellent and the pub meals are very good. Really enjoyed our 3 night stay.
- Dairo (7/5): Staff was great and hotel very clean. Customers service great - No comment No comment

- Darren (10/5): - Excellent value for money , quaint little pub old and historic, I booked the quadruple room and upon first glance it seems to be very busy but this is what I loved about the room. It just had everything. The room had everything I needed.
I didn't eat or drink in the bar but I must say the breakfast was absolutely beautiful. Set me up for the four hour journey to the East Midlands.
Liz and her husband I assume we're just great, I will definately use this little hidden gem when travelling back to and from Ireland. Well done folks 20 out of 10.
- Vincent (10/5): -

- Tim (8/5): Proper old school landlord, good pub accomodation, with no frills but very respectful to accomodation guests re: pub noi -
- rosalind (8/5): Friendly welcome, good food, comfortable beds, good location. - Location perfect for our needs, near the port but quiet. The room was small but had good storage, the bathroom was well appointed. We were provided with a fan as it was a very hot night, which made sleeping comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the atmosphere homely Nothing
- Alison (9/5): Comfortable overnight stay. - Friendly small hotel and pub. Made to feel welcome as a solo traveller.
Although room fronted onto main road, there was no traffic noise in the evening and I slept well.
The room had everything for an overnight stay and bathroom was spotless.

- René (9/5): Voor herhaling vatbaar - Uniek welch lekker eten gezellige uitstraling leuke bar lieve mensen grote parkeerplaats eventueel shop aan de overkant van de weg Alles oké
- Henry (8/5): - Very clean, great host and a nice bar. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to try the breakfast but owner tried to be very accommodating If you had a lot of suitcases with you access is definitely narrow to most the rooms. To be expected for an old building though
- Adrian (10/5): Great value - Nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good food
- RACHAEL (5/5): Unfortunately would not recommend - Location was good for the ferry to Dublin, 10 mins away. Good parking. Small park area up the road to walk the dog, but nothing more
The staff were friendly. Tatty and dated. Needs a complete renovate. Very small room with too much out of place furniture. Bathroom was ok.
- Sioux (8/5): -
- Jonny (8/5): - Nice stay The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but great value for money
- Anthony (8/5): - Very friendly staff
- Georg (6/5): -

- Alex (7/5): Glad I stopped over - Ideal place as stop over; clean, quiet, good breakfast, big car park and a nice bar downstairs. Modern bathroom. Friendly clientele enhanced my stay, so much so I asked them if they were on commission! Not the owners fault, but the stairs are narrow so kind of difficult to carry a small carry-on type suitcase (overhead locker size) up and down.
- Arkadiusz Mrozinski (10/5): do powtórzenia. - śniadanie było dobre, lokalizacja dla mnie wygodna. pokoje nad pabem, dla mnie nowe doświadczenie, nie było żle.

- Chris (7/5): Nice friendly budget hotel, our room was small but clean. - Great location to reach treadeur bay by car and other lovely beaches. There's a premier shop just across the road which was handy as we forgot to bring toothpaste!
The staff were lovely and helpful 🙂 I would have loved it if there had of been some music but understand they like to keep things quiet for the residents.
- Coops (9/5): Weekend away - comfortable, clean and excellent staff the food was good too - Location and facilities for a weekend break The room door I had needed fixing as it was stiff to closed
- joanne (10/5): - Clean, warm, cosy friendly and a bonus massive bath. What more could you ask for. Thank you
- HuwLJ (8/5): Lovely welcome and comfortable rooms. Diolch yn fawr! - Breakfast and evening meal were fine, staff were welcoming and keen to help. We were a group of 6, and there was enough accommodation for all of us. They were happy to accommodate us for just one night, in contrast to several places in the area. Room was cramped for two of us, but bed was comfortable.

- Pat_C (8/5): I will be back. - A perfect stop over:
Friendly owners.
Bedroom had all you need.
Superb evening meal and breakfast
Lots of parking space.
Spar shop oposite.
Fuel available nearby.
Ideal for Hollyhead. No password was available for the main Internet. However, a BT Internet was provided, but was almost non existent in room one upstairs. (Maybe the main password is available on the original router.)
Room one extractor fan bearings may disturb the neighbours.
Having said all that, I will be back.
- Alex (10/5): Solo Motorcycle Review - Honestly flawless, the staff were lovely and really welcoming, Including the locals. The pub was so warm and welcoming, honestly my motorcycle was allowed to be put in the beer garden away from the road and the room was amazing, clean, fresh and everything was given that was more than I paid for.
Staff were talkative and friendly, asking questions and listening to stories as well as the locals. Honestly the best pub I've been to in a while in my solo travels. Nothing it was fantastic!
- MKathy (9/5): - The beds were very comfortable, shower was really good. Rooms were warm and location was amazing for getting around Angelsey. Shop over road if you need anything. Food was good, we went half board.
- Charlotte (5/5): - The hotel is small and family run; the home cooking for supper and breakfast was good. The room was a bit tired and it doesn’t really look like the photos. It was the only place to stay on the Coast Path for 10k each way so we made the best of it.
- Hattie (10/5): - Fab place to stay! Lovely owners + staff, cozy and great food. Bed was very comfy too. Will definitely be coming back :)
- Gareth (9/5): Very ent - Very friendly, family owned Nothing, was happy

- Cathryn (8/5): - Great value at £110 for two nights with breakfast. Dog could join me for breakfast and evening meal in the bar. Staff very friendly. Food decent. good location for accessing Anglesey coastal path. Access upstairs to bedrooms is via narrow stairs. Freeview didn't get BBC.
- Michael (8/5): Place was cosy staff friendly - Staff Evening meal
