Guest Reviews
- Cecilia (10/5): - Good communication, clean room, very helpful hosts
- Claire (8/5): - This is a nice option for a brief stay. There was a corner store with good selections, a small kitchen and a great restaurant a 5 minute walk down the road. The host is quite helpful if a taxi is needed or for any information.
The drawback is no air conditioning and barking dogs.
- Santi (6/5): - The staff was unfriendly. Attention, there are additional costs.
- Mark (10/5): - We stayed last minute at the property and it turned out being a great choice. It was central to downtown and an easy walk to most everything. The owners are great and the room itself was exactly what we needed.
- Forest Ray (8/5): Don’t Go Here! - Not a hotel, a backyard room in some terrible neighborhood. Wanted to leave before check in but no where to go.
I would take this off your list. If I ever get a place like this from you It will be our last!!!
- Brian (10/5): Great Location - Great location with friendly hosts, conveniently located close to town, and free kayaks to explore the area with.
The host arranged a 50cc scooter rental with pick-up service by the rental company at the lodge.
- Bruce (10/5): - It was a real pleasure to stay here. Baptise was an excellent guide
- Arwen (10/5): - Well stocked kitchen, shared bathroom was spacious and very clean. No AC, but always a nice breeze and ceiling fan was all you needed. The pool was a great place to chill. Perfect location just outside of town and our host was very helpful. Recommend renting a car best price for getting around.
- Jean (10/5): Charmant lodge - Court mais sympathique séjour au Te Ava Piti Lodge. Excellent rapport qualité prix, idéalement situé et vélos à disposition.
- Andreas (2/5): - This review is NOT based on any stay at this lodge. I had to cancel one week before arrival due to the explosive rise in Delta variant COVID infections. The owner refused any refund, not even meeting me half way. I realize COVID affects businesses as well as tourists, still, this lack of flexibility and generosity is appalling.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Strange location. Tiny and basic but clean.
- Carlo (6/5): Simple pension run by very kind owners - This is a pension managed by a family in a good location. The place is quite basic and the room is not equipped with upscale comforts. There is no A/C and the room is very simple. The owners are truly friendly and kind and nearby there is a very good restaurant and a decent supermarket. Probably I would consider this for a short stay or for low-budget travelers. If you are looking for an upscale solution, this might not be your best choice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Only for last minute, short, cheap overnight stay - Affordable accommodation, a bit runned down. Simple small bedroom, uncomfortable bedding, with separate bathroom, not very clean. Very noisy and full of mosquitoes could barely sleep with open windows as air conditioning was not working. The kitchen and common area is outside in the sort of open garage... really not inviting. Not much to do in the area as well, there are much better places in Polynesia. We only stayed one night to catch an early morning flight the next day as fairly close to the airport and barely other options left. Would not recommend nor go back.
- Gerry (6/5): Nice, small, hostel-like lodge. - This lodge was very nice but only had the bare minimum essentials. The PROS were that owners were very nice and charming. There were bikes and kayaks at your disposal. The CONS were that the AC was an extra fee. You were basically staying in a room beside the owners. There wasn’t much to do around there. And there was an extra $60 fee we had to pay for taxes or something. All in all it was a fine place to stay considering the price, but just expect the bare necessities.
