• primzifly (10/5): - We arrived tired in the early hours of 5AM. The guy at the reception immediately arranged a room for us to check in. We were positively surprised because we didn't expect this. The staff is very friendly and they make sure you feel at home.

• Arva (8/5): - The hotel was in good shape, and the staff were friendly, but some of the amenities mentioned on booking.com weren't available. Overall, it's a decent place to stay for the price if you're not looking for anything luxurious or relaxing.

Colazione basic ma efficente, posizione ok perché vicina al lungomare, ma la notte le stradine da percorrere per raggiungere l'hotel sono molto buie. Inoltre l'hotel è circondato da case residenziali quindi c'erano davvero pochi turisti

• Ögün (7/5): Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. - Zentrale Lage, auch wenn es etwas versteckt liegt. Keine hochwertige Einrichtung, aber alles nötige für einen kurzen Aufenthalt, wie in unserem Fall. Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und bemüht. Da wir nur einige Stunden Aufenthalt bis zu unserem Rückflug dort hatten, wurde für uns extra als Frühstücks-Ersatz ein Lunchpaket vorbereitet. Etwas versteckte Lage.

• Christopher S (6/5): Good place for backpackers, tucked away in the old quarter; not for elders with many bags! - The location is very difficult to access, being in the middle of the maze of narrow alleys in the old Stone Town. Not possible for a car to get closer than a block away (though one tuktuk driver knew how to navigate his three-wheeler to the door).

Telephone in the room to speak to the reception was very handy as the rooms go up to the 4th floor but there's no elevator. Overall good value for money. Bed has a really hard mattress. No mosquito net in my room. No safe. Unpleasant smell in the breakfast lounge the first morning I was there. Breakfast good but small portions. Fruit wasn't the best. Shower leaking so the bathroom floor was constantly wet after showering. Shower gel and shampoo were watery (seemed like they had finished and were replenished simply by putting water inside)

• Tamlynn (7/5): Value for Money and Good Location- Very Close to the Ferry station - The room was clean and bedding was comfy. They had warm water as well as wifi. The breakfast was satisfactory. Staff are helpful and friendly. Location was good in terms of being central to the night market - 5 min walk, close to many restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the Beachfront. It' is 3 minutes away from the Ferry station which makes it a very convenient place to stay. The room didn't have a balcony as advertised.. The balcony is at the end of the passage. They didn't have quite a few items on the breakfast menu. The location is walking distance to the night market and the beach as well as restaurants but it's difficult to get to if you have alot of luggage .

• Darleng (5/5): Fair stay in Stone Town - Hotel is located in the center of Stone Town. Good value but not permanent electricity when we visit No permanent power and issues to pay with credit card. Also no washing machine

• Jane (7/5): Not all facilities advertised are available - It was clean airy & peaceful. Quiet at nighttime. The majority of staff friendly and professional. Breakfast was plentiful & although busy at times, food arrived. Some facilities were not as mentioned on the booking list. We had booked a deluxe double room but initially given a family room. I had to ask to change, which was facilitated, but I'm still not convinced we had a 'deluxe room'. There was a roof terrace, but no furniture or shade to sit on. There are balconies at the front, but not accessible from the rooms & again no seats. The only safe is in reception, no room safes & rooms have showers,not the advertised " baths/ hot tub'. An iron is available from reception but no ironing board. There are other things on the facilities list that are not available but I'm not going to list them all. A staff member did take a photo of the list I showed her which is on Booking.com & she said she would look into it. I'm sure I can't be the first person to notice this.
• Andre (6/5): Ok for a night, but one might find better options for the price - Close to the ferry terminal. A/c worked well. Beds were comfortable and some staff were helpful. Some facilities, particularly the bathroom are quite old. Showering is difficult due to poor installation. Need to carefully check invoiced amount as they use unfavourable exchange rates and tried to charge us double for some taxes.

Safari Lodge was amazing, their breakfast was so much it could take you most of the day before getting hungry. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Overall, great place to be. Safari Lodge did great, no complaints.
