Guest Reviews
- Jesus (8/5): Good price overal stay was decent - Location Overall good value for price
- Guest (1/5): Didn't get to stay.. will probably not stay at another one. - We had reservations in advance of at least 3 months. When we arrived the elevator was broken and we could not stay there. There were no rooms on the lower floor. My brother in law can't climb stairs. It needed mowed pretty badly. We came over 500 miles and would have been in a serious bind had best western not had a couple of rooms.I hope they can get it together as it was a nice motel.
- Stacy (6/5): - No ice machine working. Elevators did not work. Coffee tasted old and cold. Breakfast was ok but not much I could eat..which is fine. No decaf coffee. Rooms were old. Could use updated.
- chong (8/5): - Very satisfied .
- Billie (2/5): - I DID NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I THOUGHT I WAS BOOKING COLORADO CITY, COLORADO! I WAS NOWHERE NEAR TEXAS! I CALLED THE HOTEL DIRECTLY AND THE LADY WAS VERY NICE AND SAID THAT HAPPENS OFTEN. I THEN CALLED EXPEDIA AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME. TWICE!!!!! I WILL NEVER BOOK THROUGH THEM AGAIN!!
- Michael a (6/5): Broken elevators - Clean but elevators broken. According to on-site been broken for months
- Israel (6/5): - Needs little up date
- Tatiana (2/5): - The elevator was broken for starters. Room was on the third floor was hard with 3 littles, the hallway smelt like sewer especially next to the ice machine! The room was dirty with an unmade bed and the bathroom still dirty. We were staying there for a softball tournament, the whole team checked out and asked for refunds within 20 minutes of arriving. Luckily the front desk guy was very understanding and did not give us any trouble almost like he expected it. He laughed when I told him I could hear music coming from the vents in the bathroom.
- Guest (6/5): It was ok. - The location is good. The breakfast, and the staff was friendly The elevator was out of order and had to use the stairs.
- Clarence (2/5): - I did not like the horrible conditions of this facility!! Broken elevator, ice machine, toilet paper holder, refrigerator!! The pillows were sweat stained, sheets and pillow cases were paper thin! There's no way this was a 3 star!! More like LESS than one star!! The towels looked used so we didn't even shower! If we hadn't been traveling since early we would have went somewhere else!! I'VE FELT BUGGY SINCE BEING THERE!
- Michael (10/5): - Great place
- Michael (10/5): - Great!!!
- Luz M (10/5): - Nice place
- Cynthia (4/5): - No lights at the pool. Had to leave pool by nightfall as there were no lights on.No spa that works. Could not shower due to lack of hot water. Towels appeared
old and dingy.
- Jennifer (4/5): Bad stay - The beds were not comfortable. The bathroom had toilet paper thrown under the cabinet. The rooms smelled like sewer.
- Jamila (1/5): Horrible - I came down for a wedding and I was Unsatisfied with the cleanliness of my room. Me and my husband ending up going back home that night. Because of the filth
- Eduardo (2/5): - We didn’t stay , the bed sheets & pillow cases were stained and the toilet wouldn’t flush and there was mold throughout. Staff was unprofessional and the front clerk gave us a key and we opened the door and they were doing drugs and there was people in it with dogs. Then she gave us another key to a different room and it was severely horrible. There was kids catching the trash can on fire and they were all underaged in the pool drinking alcohol and smoking meth. Then another person was reporting their toilet was stopped up and the clerk tried to give them gloves and a plunger. The gm never came out to refund us and just gave the clerk her password to do it and the clerk was charging new people different amounts to stay and in cash in was very horrible we asked for a refund and left.
- Becky (4/5): - Breakfast was a joke. Bananas rotten ran out of biscuits and gravy no eggs no juices nothing but the waffles. Would really like at least a partial refund
- Shawna (7/5): -
- Jody (3/5): Stay somewhere else, we wish we did. - I liked that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room I was given was very spacious. The hotel was quiet even though it was close to the highway. They had microwave meals for sale at the hotel shop. Gas station is a short walk to get drinks. The whole place smelled really bad and there was a really funky feet smell in my room.
There was only a sheet on the bed no blankets. Everything was unplugged in the room, it was irritating to go around and try to plug everything back in. It's very obvious they are struggling if they unplug everything to save on electricity. Couldn't even use the refrigerator because it was unplugged and took it till check out to actually get cold enough to put anything in. The carpet was very dirty, made our socks black. There was no AC on anywhere in the hotel except lobby. It was very hot. My room AC didn't cool the room below 80 degrees the whole time. The desert has taken over this place so be careful. There were rattle snakes by my car when I was trying to unload. There are a lot of bugs and scorpions here due to high brush surrounding hotel. There was no place to walk my dogs since these things were everywhere. This place is dangerous for kids. It was in the middle of nowhere and there were very limited options to get dinner. The store inside only sells diet soda, no water or juice. We had to walk to the gas station nearby to get our kids something to drink. There were no sheets or bedding provided for the pull out couch, we had to use our own. We got up and left before breakfast because it wasn't a pleasant stay. I will not stay here again. I wish we went further up the road to Midland instead. This is very far from the quality I come to expect from this brand of hotel.
- Heather (2/5): Unacceptable Experience – Unsafe for Families - We stopped here on a road trip from Arizona to Florida because my six-year-old daughter needed a break. I told her she could swim—but we couldn’t use the pool because the hotel manager and her friends were throwing their own Fourth of July party. They took over the entire first floor, openly drank alcohol, and smoked marijuana near the pool. Completely inappropriate and unsafe for kids.
Despite no smoking signs, the entire hotel reeked of cigarettes and weed. The hallways, elevator, and even our room smelled terrible. The carpets were filthy, the bathroom was dirty, and the ice machines didn’t work (and were surrounded by grime). The stairwell smelled like wet carpet and smoke.
Worst of all? I overheard the manager laughing with a drunk off-duty employee about how their friends were “getting high in the elevator.”
This place is unsafe, unsanitary, and completely unprofessional. Wyndham needs to take action.
- Richard (2/5): Do better! - We booked a 3 night stay. The first night they put us in a room that had a bed that had been urinated on and smelled terrible. The breakfast they offered was awful. The towels were stained and torn. They did not give my kids the room we booked.
- Joe (4/5): - Rooms were not very clean. Had beer bottle tops on floor. Pillows were horrible. Just pieces of foam in a bag with rough pillow cases. Breakfast was good but out of coffee both mornings at 7:00 and 9:30 am. Floors and carpet dirty. Maid didn’t clean up room after 1st night. Do not recommend and won’t be back.
- Wayne E. (6/5): - Nothing and I did not care very much for the overall smell of the hotel. Elevator was and it smell like there was something stale. Staff not dressed like they were at a public business. Smoke breaks in the front of the hotel, four employees. Just didn't feel like they really care.
- Diana (1/5): Staying somewhere else next time. - Room was dirty and lots of different bugs. Ex: spiders, scorpions, big black and brown bugs.
- Jennifer (8/5): - The room was nice and quiet.
The halls and elevators needed to be cleaned.
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing - Complimentary breakfast, quick check in Entered property and was met by a horrible smell in the lobby that smelled like rotten boiled eggs. There were horse flies in the lobby everywhere and I immediately noticed guests walking around downstairs with large dogs that were breeds not suitable for lodging (pitbulls etc) . The room was subpar. Bathroom outdated, vanity was dusty and only provided 2 bath towels. The linen on the beds could be updated as well. The pillow cases are super thin that it almost looks as if the pillow has no case on it. Overall, gives Motel low budget quality when they could do so much better.
- Leon (2/5): - I did not stay in Colorado city Texas. You can check through your app. I stayed in Pablo Colorado and would love to have my money back because it was an accident when I reserve they had the wrong state and I didn’t realize it which is my fault yes but I still use your app a lot and work. Wouldn’t expect you to get my money back at least thank you
- della (10/5): - Great stay
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (2/5): - Would not recommend
- Ryan (4/5): - Hotel did not have a room that slept 5 like it advertised. Not a very clean hotel. Elevator was questionable.
- Christian (10/5): - Great stay.
- Eli (4/5): - Beds, towels, floor, pillows , sheets, all stained. Asked for new linen and towels and seems to be trend. My expectations are not that high- and this was rough. Looked like staff just made beds and threw trash before we got there. Still dog hair on floor. Thought it was just our room but family in for same event said same about room. Staff was polite and breakfast was okay.
- Tammy (2/5): Rude staff and not what we booked! - The entire facility stunk of marijuana, inside and out. The A.C in our room did not work properly. The room was suppose to sleep 5, was suppose to have 2 queen beds and a fold out couch. It had 2 full size beds only and we were not able to change rooms. Breakfast was served at 7 a.m but by 730 everything was cold, including the coffe and they had no orange juice. The pool heater was out so the kids were unable to swim. This was a family trip and we had 2 children with us, one under the age of 1. At 9:30 a.m a staff member banged on our door and told us they had complaints of loud noise and stomping coming from our room and attempted to scold us. A simple phone call from the front desk to our room would have been sufficient, instead the staff was rude and very accusing when they came to our room. We explained that there was NO stomping coming from our room but yes, the children were laughing and watching TV. Not a family friendly place to stay.
- Brandon (10/5): - K
- Brian (10/5): - great
- Jeffrey (2/5): - The 1st room they gave me was occupied and could have ended really bad.
The 2nd room they gave me was also occupied and could have ended badly as well.
When I went down to lobby to get my 3rd room and explain my frustration to the young man at front desk, He couldn’t have cared LESS.
Like it was no big deal. This could have been a liability issue
- Maria (3/5): Second time there & both times the room was dirty. - I only drank the coffee, my kids enjoyed the breakfast. Wasn't clean! Filthy
- Donnie (2/5): Terrible - It was awful. Filthy is the best way to describe the room. Upon arrival there were zero towels, some left over toilet paper from the previous guest (approx 12 squares left on the roll), dust everywhere, toothpaste splatter on the bathroom mirror and running don the wall underneath it. Bed pillows are hard as a rock (not exaggerating), side door wont open unless you POP IT so hard you feel like the glass is going to shatter...... never agin in this hotel. Looks nice u til you get into your room though.
- Ronald (2/5): - The spa was not working. It literally looked like some one pooped in the pool. It waa so disgusting. We didnt even feel comfortable so we left the property after resting for only 2 hours.
- Rodriguez (8/5): Very good -
- Rodriguez (8/5): Very good -
- Blaine (10/5): - Complications with room key and they upgraded me to an executive suite for the same price.
- Larry (2/5): - I recommend you never stay at this hotel. It is dirty throughout the hotel. The hallways are dirty, the elevator was dirty and the rooms were very dirty. It is not a place you ever want to stay especially if you have kids.
- Roger (5/5): Passable - Location Room was not clean.
- Odette (7/5): Good -
- Lena (2/5): HR Supervisor - This place was dirty and the elevator would close and move by itself. I work for a bank and ride the elevator daily, it does not move before the doors close. This is the worse LaQuinta I've ever stayed at, and I'll never stay again.
- Kevin (8/5): Great rate but needs a managers touch - The ice machines were broken; my room key did not work and had to go back to the front desk and get a different room; only sweet n low or sugar for coffee; they should offer Splenda and/or stevia
- Verified traveler (2/5): Poor qulity - This was not a great stay. The rooms were not as clean as they should have been. They were all little smelly. Also, the sheets were very, very thin. and the pillow cases as well, pool was not working condition and was advertised as it was working, water cold in the Hot Tub... this facility needs to be updated.
- James (8/5): - Room was nice. Housekeeping was good. Heater in the hot tub was broken which was upsetting.
- James (8/5): - Nice place, would go back.
- Stephen (2/5): - Dirty
- Lorina (2/5): - The outside presentation of this property is nice. The rooms are run down, have a funny smell and my window had a huge crack covered by tape… the room door was open before I even had a chance to walk in. The entire second floor smelled like marijuana. Breakfast started at 6:30, I went down at 6:45 and there was only grits, toast and oranges. The young lady who checked me in was sweet and probably the only positive thing at this location.
- Mariah (2/5): - It was dirty and everything wasn’t working. *Spa and water got cut. Blanket was dirty. Had stickers in the room. Mold on pillow. Fire alarm went off at 3am
- Beverley (2/5): False advertisement - I was disappointed because the swimming pool was closed with the excercise equipment. I was traveling with three kids and booked this motel because of children . I called La
Quinta and they said they were refunding price but it goes to you , so I hope you refund when they do. I am very disappointed in the LaQuinta. It used to be one of my favorites.
- Thomas (6/5): A bit shabby for a not too old La Quinta location - water restricted in lavatory and shower/tub due to mineral build up on strainer and diverter. No wash cloths. No blanket, just a thin bedspread and top sheet. Microwave door malfunctioned. TV limited to ESPN due to remote or other tuner malfunction. Breakfast mediocre. I have stayed here multiple times and have watched it go downhill over the past decade or so since it was new to falling into disrepair. La Quinta quality can vary greatly from one location to the other--and now I find quality can vary greatly at the same location!
- Angela (4/5): - The rooms weren't as clean as expected. There was a left over shampoo or conditioner bottle under our bathroom vanity, there was a metal piece sticking out from under the bed, the pool was closed when we checked in then reopened the next day without the heat and the bathroom was dirty. One of the front desk employees wore a hoodie with the hood up, and another was literally in her pajamas every day she was there. The breakfast staff was very nice and she did a very good job keeping the breakfast area clean.
- Walter (2/5): - TV didnt work, pillows were horrible, room was unsanitary, no breakfast, and elevator is on last leg.
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shari (8/5): - My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites was awesome except for one thing, the bedding. The comforter can be mistaken for a sheet. Too thin! Otherwise, awesome stay.
- Prasad (10/5): - No exhaust fan in bathrooms
- Debra (1/5): Horrible - None No towels no staff no bacon or variety of food. We went one hour prior to close of breakfast
No water available for free or to ur chase. No housekeeping, bugs, broken tile peeling off.
- James (2/5): NOT GOOD - Some alarm went off every night at 12:30 like clock work. Told front desk and they did nothing about it the 9 nights we stayed there. The room never got cleaned, beds never made, it was overall a terrible experience.
- Julie (4/5): - We had to be switched around 3x to find a room to accommodate our family of 3. The second room was not cleaned yet. She finally got us in a room with enough room- the carpet was filthy, it smelled and there were roaches. The woman at the front was VERY nice and apologetic. This isn't her fault. But it was gross over all.
- jimmy (2/5): - Tried to check in at 4:30 no rooms ready. Then found out no elevator. Wife has to take inhaler everyday to breath. Can’t climb stairs requested 1st floor clerk said second floor the best he do. We come back at 8:30 and find the clerk put us on the 3rd floor said his manager told him to do so. We had to stop at every landing catch her breath wife could not make the climb again so we could not go out to eat. 8:00 next morning no food. Check out receipts had no numbers
- Aaron (4/5): awful - Elevator out of service
Hole in towels
room had an odor
only 1 working ice machine
Pool was closed
breakfast was awful and was made in the back on a residential electric skillet
- Jani (4/5): - There were bags of trash outside a room for 24 hours, bathroom doorknob fell off, at breakfast there was nothing to drink, no coffee, no juice at all. Wanted a copy of my bill at checkout, the clerk was not able to pull it up. Poorly managed property!
- Machell (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - This place was awful. Dirty, room was not clean, customer service didn’t exist, and I do not reccomend
- Robert (6/5): - No hair dryer and coffee maker broken
- Puga (3/5): Poor - Stayed for 2 nights and the fire alarm went off at 4 am both nights and woke me up first night they apologized but didn’t correct it for it to happen a second night I was done
- Victor (10/5): - Good
- Amber (4/5): Disappointing - The hotel was nice The blankets are so thin it's like your just using a sheet and the fire alarm went off at 5am and woke everyone up and many that has stay there for a while for work says it has happened before no one was given answer just that people was saying it wasn't real and happened the day before as well !!! I just checked out and left since we was awake anyway from the fore alarm !!
- Priscilla (10/5): Happy camper - When I come through Colorado City this is where I like to stay!
Comfortable relaxing and pool for my kids
- Amanda (9/5): Superb - Location close to where I needed to be
- Victor (10/5): - Good
- Victor (10/5): - Good
- Victor (10/5): - Good
- Angela (2/5): - Horrible water issues. No soap. Towels are so small. Breakfast wasn’t fresh
- Victor (10/5): - Excellent
- Tosha (4/5): - There wasn't any towels. There were pictures missing off the wall and the t v did not work
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victor (10/5): - Good
- Victor (10/5): - Good
- Jeremy (2/5): - The room was so gross that i went and got a different hotel
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional - Clean &:easy Water pressure
- Victor (10/5): - Good
- Christy (7/5): Good -
- Victor (10/5): - Excellent
- Michele (8/5): - Texting a customer at 8:01 am asking about what time I was checking out today is unacceptable. I was still asleep and the text woke me up.
- Serena (2/5): Worst experience - We didnt even get to stay because they canceled my reservation before arriving to say that they do not rent to ex employees
- Deborah (4/5): - The bed for our first night stay was made up with the dirty sheets still on the bed. After talking to the front desk the room thoroughly cleaned but the next day nothing was done. The 2nd room did not have service any of the three nights we stayed.
- Victor (10/5): - Good
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pet friendly but no grass for pets - It was clean but lobby smelled bad. It’s pet friendly but there was no where on the property for my dog to go to the restroom. All the grass was dead and full of stickers. My dog went on the grass and had a ton of stickers all over her paws we had to remove them all slowly and it was painful for her.
- Megan (8/5): Convenient traveling stay - Convenient location and price for my tracking needs.
- Andrea (10/5): Will return, have already started recommending - Dealt mainly with Desi(?)
Super attitude, very professional and friendly. Bathtub is very slick. My husband wouldn't let me shower because it is definitely a safety hazard
- Franklin (10/5): - It was very clean and comfortable.. there’s was no eggs during breakfast thou tht was disappointing bt overall it was great definitely coming back
- Cynthia (6/5): Not as clean as previous stay. Not sure if staffing was an issue, but it appeared so. - Location, price, friendliness Floors dirty in elevator the whole time, hair found in bathroom and on bedding.
- Charles (4/5): - LaQuinta used to be one of the nicest! This one, in Colorado City, Texas......SUCKED. I know it comes down to management. The management at this hotel needs to figure things out and if the staff isn't doing what needs to be done, to ensure clean rooms and necessities, there needs to be new staff! Hair in the shower, damp towels, carpets filthy, food in the floor of our room, over full trashcans sitting outside the front door, cigarette butts littering that same area, no napkins or forks with breakfast, I could go on! Suffice it to say, this LaQuinta needs help!
- Krisha (7/5): Good - Good breakfast good staff Better smoking area
