• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent comfortable hotel, great location - Very clean room with spacious bathroom. Heating in both worked very well. Excellent convenient location across the road from the main ferry terminal (for the Hurtigruten and Havila coastal voyages) and Airport Express Bus stop. Local bus stops, supermarket, shopping mall with pharmacy, Tromso's pedestrian high street (Storgata) and northern lights tour meeting points are all within 5 minutes walk. My arrival was delayed by 17 hours due to the last minute cancellation of 2 long haul connections by the airline but the hotel held my room booking for me when I messaged them en route. The included buffet breakfast was excellent! Andy at the reception desk was very kind and nice when I finally made it to check-in at 12 midnight. He told me where I could walk along the waterfront to see the northern lights. After an exhausting and unexpectedly stressful 45 hour journey and 4 flights, it was a welcome relief for check-in to go so smoothly. Note: Photos on the hotels.com and official hotel website showed the double standard rooms have sea views but this is not the case. Room 728 has a slightly obstructed city view.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Good value - simple, warm, clean - Simple, warm, clean & quiet room with mini/bar fridge, kettle & hair dryer. Heating works really well including the bathroom. Good value budget hotel for the Lofoten region and Norway generally. Big window so you can look up at the night sky to check for aurora (northern lights). Conveniently located opposite the ferry terminal, Hertz car rental, and a 3 minute walk to the waterfront pier. Small parking lot is in front of the hotel - appears to be free from 7pm-8am on Monday-Friday, and 5pm-7am on the weekend. Free for first 15 minutes which is handy in case you forgot something and need to briefly dash back up to your room.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Not So Fast Hotels Svolvær - - The cleaning was terrible. Bed, Chair and Shower was visibly dirty. - The hotel beds where very thin and had hard springs in the matress. Its not the framed beds advertised in the pictures, but thin spring beds. - Coffe automat in the lobbey where not refilled so after paying 2€ you would only get hot murky water. - Water fossit leaking when brushing your theeth. - A foul smell of mold or sewage in the bathroom. Bathroom also had some spots on the roofing that looked like water damage. - To get hot water you would have to let the water run for about 8 full minutes (I took the time). In that sense i guess it's somewhat climate friendly, as it forces you to take cold showers if you are in a hurry.

Sköna sängar. Hade varit bra om det fanns åtminstone en hand-handduk för vi fick bara badlakan. Vi fick tre pappmuggar till oss tre, så det hade gärna fått vara några till. Eller diskbara muggar. Men överlag väldigt nöjda med rummet.

Måtte til tider parkere mot betaling og flyttet meg når jeg så det åpnet seg mulighet for gratis parkering. Mye måkeskrik i området så jeg anbefaler ørepropper. :) Rullegardinene på rommet dekket ikke hele vinduene så det slapp inn mye lys. Veldig sentralt og fint. Alt man trenger i nærheten.

Så förväntningarna var låga, och hotellet fyllde sin funktion då vi inte skulle vara på rummen annat än för att sova. Rummet kändes ändå sisdådär. Rent = måste, men ganska bedagat rum. Ej rengjord takventil på toaletten, duschvägg glappade och lite såna småsaker.

Ingen hylle på badet. Ingen renhold mens jeg var der. Og fikk en hånduk som jeg skulle ha i 3 dager. Mye bråk fra bakgård. Og matlukt som kom opp fra restaurant i 1.etg. Ikke verdt 2700 som jeg betalte for 2 netter. Grusom opplevelse.

Olisi ollut mukava saada ovikoodit etukäteen tai edes jälkikäteen, mutta onneksi eteiseen pääsi sateelta suojaan, ja puhelinnumero toimi niin, että sain ovikoodit puhelimitse. Peseytymistä helpottaisi, jos suihkuhuoneessa olisi toimiva valo. Pimennysverho oli varmaan ihan toimiva silloin kuin se oli uusi ja ehjä.

Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher vorhanden, aber keine Becher. Der Topper von meinem Bett ist oft verrutscht und eine Ablagefläche im Bad wäre gut. Ansonsten alles okay. Das Sushi Restaurant im Erdgeschoss super, der Kaffee aus dem Automaten ungenießbar.

• Christian (8/5): - Gemäss Bestätigung war Check-in von 16:00h an möglich und man würde am Anreisetag per E-Mail und SMS einen Zugangscode zum Hotel und Zimmer bekommen. Obschon ich schon ein paar Tage vorher über Ebookers und einen Tag vorher direkt bei Fast Hotels nachfragte, wann 'am Ankunftstag' ich denn den Code erhalten würde, kam überhaupt keine Reaktion. Den Code bekam ich dann am Anreisetag erst um 17:18h. Das finde ich inakzeptabel.

Le istruzioni per l’accesso alla struttura vengono inviate in automatico via mail o sms un Gio prima dell’arrivo. In inglese. Semplici da seguire. Camera famigliare sufficientemente grande ma con poco posto per la sistemazione e l’apertura di bagagli per 4 persone. Bagno spazioso e accessibile. Parcheggi a pagamento nelle vicinanze. Praticamente assenti parcheggi gratuiti. Località graziosa e vivace sul mare con ristoranti e bar nelle immediate vicinanze della struttura.

I emailed Fast Hotels to report our problem but we never got a response. Finally in the morning I spoke to a person cleaning rooms and they messaged maintenance but it was too by then as we were leaving. This was very disappointing to be ignored by the hotel
• Paul (4/5): - Property was in a rundown area. Worst of all, it was completely unmanned. There was no staff on the premises. You let yourself in with a code that was texted to you--no lobby staff, no one to answer questions--completely hands off. I was unaware of this at the time of booking, and will never stay there again.

This hotel has no human presence whatsoever: no check in / reception staff; nobody to speak to with a problem.They send a text with access code and room number on the afternoon of arrival.If you don't get the text you will be sleeping on the street. What happens if there is an IT failure? Everybody out on the street? What happens in an emergency ? The hotel will have nobody to help. You will be on your own, and relying on the local volunteer services.
• Shalu (8/5): - Looks like a newly built property. so its clean. convenient park in and check in facility. there is no staff its a self check-in hotel. Lift is small but available. the heater was not effective. They can do better on that. There are few restaurants nearby, for good breakfast options.
• Andrew (8/5): - This is a decent budget self-service hotel. Instructions for using the code were a little off--pad wasn't where they said it would be, but there was only one, so it wasn't hard to figure out (just make sure to step into the electric eye to get the door to open after you enter the code). Rooms are small and basic but workable. Small refrigerator can hold some drinks and fruit, several shelves to make best use of space. Didn't quite have the garbage emptied when I arrived, but it's a budget hotel, so that goes with the territory. A block or so from the Bodø ferry landing and about a ten minute walk to the ferry to Skrova, so very convenient.
• Janice (8/5): Svolvaer - Very basic hotel room but opposite ferry and small bus terminal. Fridge in the room, also an electric jug for tea and coffee. I love staying here. Walking distance to most things in Svolvaer.
• Julia (10/5): recommended. - I was very happy with my room: even though it was small it had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, good shower, and in a great location. It was quiet. Definitely a good place to stay.

• Alan (8/5): Mattress upgrade please. - I thought the no frills style was what we paid for. However, the mattress was poor. I feel, keep the no frills, but people need to sleep well to recomend to others. It would be good to replace the mattresses.
