- Heiko (9/5): - Alles super! Nicht von den älteren Fotos täuschen lassen!
- Francisco (10/5): - La amabilidad del personal. Apartamento totalmente reformado y nuevo.
- Tinashe (9/5): - The chalet was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The cleanliness if this place l would rate it 10 out of 10. So impressed . The cushions needs to be replaced in the lounge and bath towels need to be replaced.
- Paulina (9/5): Perfect trip - Perfect location. We will be coming back Not applicable
- CHRISTIAN (10/5): -
- Doreen (10/5): - Das Haus ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber uns hat es nicht gestört. Die Betten waren gut und die Küche hatte auch alles was wir brauchten.
- Susan (8/5): Love. Glenelg. Chalet was excellent value and well equipped. - Beautiful location, great value for money. Clean and tidy. Accommodation a little cramped. Only a double bed.
- Kenneth (8/5): -
- Juliane (8/5): - Der Blick auf die grüne Weide und die Kühe, die dort grasten. Die Hunde, die dort frei herum liefen und der Kot der auf den Wiesen und Wegen lag.
- THIERRY (10/5): -
- Karel (10/5): Nečekaně skvělé ubytování! - Skvělí a milí hostitelé. Chatka měla vše potřebné pro pohodlný pobyt na několik dní/týdnů
- Eva (10/5): - Está en un valle idílico. Muy confortable y bien equipado. La dueña es encantadora.Para repetir
- wendy (10/5): Best family holiday ever - Wonderful welcoming owner and responsive to all our questions about the area. Easy parking. Nice and helpful neighbours. Host was so kind and thoughtful. Made our stay very special. Best family holiday ever! Scottish midgies like me too much!
But other than that it's just great.
- Saman (10/5): Effie is an excellent host, very friendly and helpful. The holiday home is very comfortable, and it has an extraordinary - Amazing place in the middle of paradise
- Susan (8/5): Lovely family get away - The property is in a beautiful quiet location, ideal base for exploring the beautiful Highlands. The owners were so helpful and friendly. A little dated in places but did not affect our stay.
- Stefana Andreea (10/5): Remote piece of heaven - Everything, from the warm and helpful hosts, the size and comfort of the bungalow to the deer herd that came every evening to graze by the bungalow.
- Gaile (10/5): Wonderful. So glad we found this chalet. - Fab location - the area was very secluded and quiet- surrounded by mountains and lovely drives. Amazing pub/restaurant nearby - The Glenelg Hotel. Food fab. All good
- Ruth (10/5): Little piece of heaven - Where do I start!! Stunning location with breathtaking views. Beautiful accommodation with a homely feel. Everything you need close to hand. Additional facilities on site of washing machine and drying facilities and a pool / games room. Lovely friendly people
Peace quiet and loads of fresh air 😊
Short drive to local shop and Pub. Pub dinners were amazing. Short drive to car ferry taking you over to Skye. Well worth a visit. ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️ Having to leave it all behind to come back to busy surroundings.
- Thilanka (10/5): Exceptional - Everything.
- Artur (10/5): Lovely Chalet in the beautiful valley - Location was outworldy - totally peaceful, quiet and perfect to reset. The Chalet was super spacious - 3 bedrooms and big living room with a nice kitchen. The Owner is very kin. I really recommend taking the ferry to Skye: it is the only manually operated one in Scotland! The wi-fi is also really fast and reliable. I loved observing the sheep from the window as well. Everything was perfect;)
- Allan (10/5): Very restful stay in a comfortable and well equiped chalet in a fantastic location. - Very comfortable chalet - excellent wifi. Peaceful and restful location. Friendly and helpful host.
- Clarissa (7/5): Good - Absolutely loved our chalet stay. Great location, had everything we needed and amazing value. We’ll be back!
- Zbigniew (10/5): We didn't want to leave. Marvellous place. -
- Matthews (7/5): Good - The chalet was comfortable and warm. The games room was okay. The chalet is very dated which was reflected in the price. Games room was a tad chilly.
- Mike (10/5): Fantastic as usual : will be back ! - If you're looking for a nice place in a very beautiful and quiet spot of the highlands : there's no much better value for money than the Lamont Chalets. The owner is really nice, the location near Glenelg is fantastic and the Chalets are definitely comfy and functional, for a very reasonnable price. Shared facilities have everything to do laundry and provide as a bonus a nice Pool table (it's seen better days but we enjoyed it nonetheless).
We were there for the second time (family of 4) and will be back for sure. Our Chalet this time could use a touch up of renovation and mostly better matresses...
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional - We came to place for 2 weeks over xmas time and it has created very positive vibes on arrival and stayed whole time as that. Fantastic views from the cabin and good point for explorations of Scotland. Owner is very friendly lady. Overall we did not want to go back home after stay. It is located slightly outside of main civilization( large town) but it is fantastic place to calm and slow down from busy day to day life. At some point we were able to see Aurora Borealis with the beautiful night sky.
- Eddie (10/5): Best stay ever - Absolutely amazing. Everything was amazing. I was away working for here but I am now looking to get my family for a getaway here. I loved this place.wifi was amazing too Nothing. Everything was perfect
- Spencer (10/5): Beautiful home stunning scenery just don’t go in snow as roads are bad - Very good location
- Jodiew52 (7/5): Good - The chalet had everything we needed in it was a little small and cramped had a separate laundry facility which was great the host was very sweet kind Needed warning about the road going to the chalets the chalets were double wide mobile or modular homes. When you entered the appearance was nice and clean but there were spider webs everywhere inside the chalet.
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (8/5): Very good - We stayed in the Bungalow and it was great value for money. 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom. Kitchen was great. Effie was nice and helpful. Only thing I could think of is a freezer in the kitchen wud make it perfect.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Location and value for money Just a bit dated but still good value
- Lukena (10/5): Amazing! - We stayed here for a couple of nights enjoyed it so much. The manager Effie was so friendly, the Chalet was well equipped, we were even able to do laundry. The surroundings are stunning, there are sheep, cows and deer as well as some friendly dogs.
It is the perfect place to relax and also to go on daytrips like Isle of Skye or Glenfinnan.
I'd recommend doing some grocery shopping on the way here, since there is only a little store in town.
We wish we could have stayed much longer!
- Alina (10/5): Wonderful stay - Quiet, remote location. The house is clean, well equipped, beautiful views outside, the quiet, the stars. It was a wonderful stay. We stayed there to travel to the Isle of sky. It was about 40 minutes drive every day to the island but it's an affordable option. Everything was great
- Naomi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (9/5): Lovely little hideaway - Great value for money. The recently refurbished chalet was lovely and in a great location. Missing a few buts of kitchen equipment like a tin opener.
- Taxiarchis (10/5): Great lodge! -
- Romualdas (8/5): Very good - I liked everything.
- Karen (10/5): Brilliant - Clean and the area Nothing
- Brian (8/5): Tranquil and relaxing - This was our second time staying at Lamont chalets, we used it as a base for motorcycling around Skye and the western highlands. Ideally situated for the Glenelg ferry over to Skye too. Peaceful location with a local shop a couple of miles away and a pub where you can get an excellent evening meal. Chalet has everything you need for catering for yourself, DVD player and some discs, all the usual TV channels and the Wi-Fi was great. It was mentioned more than once by other members of our party that as you drive through the gate its like all your stresses melt away. Although we were there for a motorcycling holiday it would also suit young families and i would have no problem taking my wife and grandkids too. Only thing that wasn't perfect was the unpredictable Scottish weather, but its what you expect.
- Naomi (10/5): Cosy and clean - Incredibly comfortable, with a very well kitted out kitchen - everything we needed for self catering. There was salt, pepper, tea - but we brought our own cooking oil and all the rest.
It's quite a cosy place, but perfect for two people, and nice and warm with the radiators going. We loved the location - easy to get to Skye, great pub in the village, and incredible walks in Kintail just over the hill. Nothing, very happy to find affordable accommodation!
- Joss (10/5): Beautiful scenery, comfortable cottage and reasonably priced - We had a lovely stay! The cottage was clean, comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed. Note that there's only a little shop nearby so bring all the food you'll need for your stay - the kitchen is fully equipped and we knew to bring everything so we're able to cook our usual meals. We appreciated use of communal washing machine and drier available for all cottages (bring detergent) and my kids enjoyed the pool table. The location is perfect - set on a farm (with gorgeous baby coos!) in a beautiful valley and a very short drive to the ferry to Skye. We happily did multiple day trips across on the ferry, but the mainland is also beautiful! Also an easy day trip to Loch Ness. Friendly host who was very patient when we checked out late (thank you!). Nothing
- Nichola (9/5): Superb - Lovely setting and Effie was very accommodating with our later than expected arrival. The single track road to the property is spectacular and the proximity to the Skye ferry was perfect. We were in chalet No 1 and saw red deer in the field opposite every night and also saw eagles, pine martens and fox cubs nearby. The chalets are well spaced out and very comfortable with lots of storage space. They are traditionally decorated and had everything we needed with good local tourist information available. The village is just a five minute drive away and the Pictish brochs and micro brewery are great nearby attractions. A lovely stay in a beautiful quiet setting at a very reasonable price. It would have been useful to know that the owners dogs were free roaming at the chalets. They were lovely but we have a reactive rescue dog so it would have been helpful to know there might be dogs visiting each morning and sleeping on our veranda.
- Emmanuel (9/5): Home away from home. Excellent facilities. - It was exactly home away from home with all facilities in excellent conditions, meeting all our needs. The caretaker/receptionist was kind and very helpful. Will visit again. Nil
- Alan (10/5): We were very fortunate to find Glenelg and such reasonably priced accommodation. - The location is exceptional and the chalet gave us privacy and plenty of space.
- Jack (10/5): Great views and very peaceful. Car needed to stay here as pretty remote. - Fantastic views, very quiet location.
- Linda (10/5): Beautiful area, chalet spacious, clean and comfortable. - Beautiful quiet area. Chalet was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. Host was charming even though it was a last minute booking and I arrived late in the evening. Would recommend.
- Lena (10/5): Excellent location - Location. In the bungalow you have everything you need. Midges, Mosquitoes
- Andelcb24 (10/5): Exceptional - Good accommodation. Fully equipped chalet. Everything you need is there. Comfortable bed. Nice fully equipped kitchen. Could do with a new toilet seat.
- Jenny (8/5): I had a lovely time in Glenelg. It’s a beautiful place. Very quiet, very friendly. Scary road going in and out but other - Beautiful location, clean, great facilities Slightly lumpy bed
- Lenka (10/5): Exceptional - Only affordable accomodatin i could find in the Highlands. The location is lovely, located in the valley between hills and farmlands near very quiet village with nice shop, caffe and a pub. Not very turisty, lot of opportunities for hiking, nice partly sandy beach nearby. The lady in charge is very nice. Accomodation is quite outdated, except the kitchen, which is new. But everyting was clean and there was everything we needed, so it was very comfortable. Nothing.
- Krzysztof (8/5): Very pleasant. - Excellent location and beautiful views. Luck of contact with owner.
- Sahan (8/5): Very good -
- Liz (8/5): Very good - Stunning location, very affordable
- Clive (8/5): Very good -
- Showaddy (10/5): Exceptional - Everything perfect stop place while touring around the views where fantastic ✨️ and no one bothered us at all will we go back definitely Get new frying pan .
- Neeta (8/5): Had an amazing stay thank you Effie! - The location was superb. Though a bit away from other attractions. The Wi-Fi connection was strong. Very friendly host. Everything was good
- Alyshia (10/5): Exceptional - Another brilliant stay at lamont chalets, Great location with brilliant views.
Already booked again for another stay.
- Petr (9/5): Peaceful location, friendly host, well equipped property - great base to explore Kintail and Skye ! - Great peaceful location surrounded by mountains, close to Isle of Skye, Torridon and all the beautiful places of Kintail. Friendly and helpful host , the property was clean and included all we needed for our stay. Despite the cold weather outside, heating was working well and kept us warm inside even if used partly / economically only. Well equipped kitchen, Wifi was working very well. Parking next to the Chalet.
Great place to explore Kintail and Isle of Skye, also no far to visit Torridon mountains etc. This is our family favourite part of Scotland and we are often visiting the places nearby: Kintail's mountains, Eilean Donan Castle, Plockton, Arnisdale...Elgol, Sligachan, Cuillin Mountains, Fairy Pools, Portree, The Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, The Fairy Glen, Dunvegan, Neist Point, Talisker etc. The local shop was very nice, incl. basic stuff, fresh vegetables and also local beer -DUN BREWING which I can recommend to try, friendly staff. The matress was quite old and uncomfortable - feeling every spring. But despite that we had a great time there - great stay !
- Gothmother (10/5): Relaxing week - The location was stunning, very quiet, most of the sounds heard were either wildlife or local farm animals.
Glenelg is a small but welcoming community, both the Glenelg Inn & Dun Inn had lovely staff.
The views from Glenelg across to the Isle of Skye were glorious & the wildlife, especially bird varieties, was what made our stay more special. There wasn't really anything to dislike.
The mostly single track road down to the area was challenging but very picturesque. It did make visiting the wider area a challenge as it's the only road in & out of the community.
- Trevor (7/5): Good location, but chalet is a bit tired in terms of decor. - Proximity to Glenelg village with its fantastic pub, historic ferry to Skye and beautiful views Provide the absolute basics in the kitchen - sat and pepper for a start. We were promised a river view, not sure where we had to go to see the river!
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful scenery, lovely people, cosy but roomy property. A little outdated but that was OK needed a bit more TLC
- Rafal (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the cottages is great! The lady who manages the place is very friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time there. Everything was super! Highly recommend the place!
- Sylvia (8/5): Enjoyable - Warm, clean and good location though too safe to walk to the village Dated furnishings
- Kalman (7/5): Good -
- Kaz (9/5): Incredible location, incredible price - It was a home from home, everything you need for a comfortable stay is there, the furnishings are a bit dated, but so what, the price reflects what you’re getting.. towels, toilet rolls are supplied ,with the usual soap dispensers..the site is located next to a working farm, so working dogs are there(I fell in love with one of them) they don’t bother anyone..I enjoyed the walk to the village of Glenelg,40 mins at a stroll to the village shop, (it’s a single track road all the way,it didn’t bother me,but you have to be aware of traffic)the waterfront is lovely, there are tracks up the hills in front of Lamont chalets.. Zero phone signal…but the Wi-Fi is good..shower water pressure isn’t great,a bit cramped on the actual toilet..
- Marelin (10/5): Exceptional - Its very close to the isle of skye
Super spacious 3 bedroom
Very comfortable bed
- Philippa (9/5): Superb - Lovely space and great facilities. Wonderful location.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Izabela (10/5): Stunning location and very clean chalet! - It’s absolutely beautiful location, although bit scary narrow roads to get there, but breathtaking. There is no mobile phone signal which I actually enjoyed ☺️ but there is wifi. chalet was very clean and well equipped. There is about 30min walk to the village with the shop, pub and play park for kids. Only thing we didn’t like was that was too short stay. Wish to stay there forever!!
- Michala (10/5): Exceptional - The chalets are at quiet location, overall it is clean and comfortable place to stay .
- Tomomi (9/5): Superb - The cottage is located in very quiet area, very spacious, clean, the kitchen had kitchenware you need for self catering. The basic stuff such as salt & pepper, cooking oil, tea, coffee were not in the kitchen. The bed could be better with a mattress topper.
- Gowri (10/5): Very good location, good size accomodation, had a pool table too. -
- Fabien (10/5): The most best value place to stay near Skye. - Very good place to stay, the chalet was so clean, well furnished and the woman in charge of it was soooo nice ! Loved everything there and hope we have the opportunity to come back again. nothing
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hanka (10/5): Fantastic holiday in a stunning location - We stayed here for a week in July and absolutely loved this place. The location was simply stunning, beautiful picturesque views. If you love the nature, you'll love this place. We all had an amazing time exploring surrounding beautiful areas and definitely planning to come back to see even more :-) Nothing
- Anonymous (10/5): A relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings - Absolutely beautiful location. The chalet was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We will definitely be returning Nothing at all
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Chalet was very clean and spacious, very well equipped and the views were amazing The drive over the Ratagan Pass was pretty steep. The drive from the ferry at Kylerhea was quite frightening
- Eilidh (10/5): Beautiful views and location. - We really enjoyed our stay in the chalet- the views! The Silence! The farm animals (particularly one calf and their Mother) with plenty of personality! Really loved everything about it. Up to date decor, very clean, loads of attention to detail with Kitchen facilities, great shower, comfy chairs, good size dining table etc. There is absolutely nothing I did not like. Honestly, brilliant value for money and a very peaceful, quiet escape.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Abiya (9/5): Superb - You can't have a better remote location. Eilean Donan castle is situated in a few minutes of drive and the famous manual turntable Skye ferry in Glenelg literally a few miles away. The chalet was clean and facilitated with all necessary things to enjoy a week trip.
- Bethan (7/5): Good -
- A (8/5): Very good -
- Gail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tomas (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and spacious inside. Good facilities.
Quiet location where cows and sheep are you neighbours.
Great views from chalet and patio area near it.
Parking space next to the chalet.
Good location, 2 miles from beach, pub, local shop and ferry to Isle of Skye.
- Stewart (9/5): Comfortable and relaxing in a scenic setting. - The cottage was effectively a home from home with everything you could need. Nothing
- Kris (9/5): Superb - The location was amazing, the chalet was perfect had everything we needed and was clean. The shower wasn't the best as it didn't have much pressure and didn't get to a good temperature.
- Margaret (10/5): Great accommodation in a beautiful, quiet location - Spacious chalet in a beautiful location not far from glenelg. Kitchen had been recently renewed. Very good shower. Chalet had everything we needed. Effie was very helpful.
- Deirdre (10/5): Relaxing break in Beautiful Kyke. - Wonderful, well equipped chalet with excellent shower, great kitchen, dining room, bedrooms. Perfect for our stay in Kyle. Nothing
- Melanie (9/5): A place of beauty to unwind - The view was spectacular, the chalet was basic but clean and comfortable and met all our families needs. Pool table and laundry room in separate chalet. It was quiet and relaxing. Close to Glenelg Ferry. The road to the chalets and the ferry were very narrow and winding which could be a put off for nervous drivers.
- Eva (10/5): my family and I spent 3 nights in this chalet, very quiet, really enjoyed our stay - lovely chalets , very clean and well equipped, beds comfortable, and views amazing! nothing
- Susan (8/5): Had a great stay in a lovely location. - Beautiful area. Nice chalet, and very clean. Surprisingly spacious. I'm afraid the bed was a bit hard for us. A memory foam topper would improve it.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely remote place in mountains very peaceful and amazing views. Nice location to explore Skye. Very good Glenelg inn pub just in 10 min drive. Chalet very clean, comfy and cosy. Good size kitchen.
- Drewaps (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Nothing.
- Abbey (8/5): Great value for money, would happily stay again. - The coziness of the chalet, nice beds, plus all the necessary utensils found on site with access to cleaning supplies. The location is also fantastic, not isolating due to a nice village near by, but still away from mainstream crowds. Can’t say there was anything not to like, interior could be said to be on the dated side, but everything was clean and well kept for that to be an easily overlooked issue.
- Pavel (10/5): Exceptional - perfect location next to the sheep yard
- Judy (10/5): Great private chalet; lovely views; not many tourists; loads of great walks/climbs; friendly people. - This was such a lovely find in the most beautiful surroundings with gorgeous views. It was so quiet and peaceful set in the valley at Glenelg which overlooks the Isle of Skye. The chalet was very well equipped with all kitchen facilities and 3 bedrooms one of which is a double. It was very cosy with TV and good WIFI. The shower was good also. There was a well equiped little shop in Glenelg and a lovely Inn where we had good food a couple of nights. Absolutely nothing!
- Tomix (9/5): Superb -
