- Alexandra (8/5): Overall, we were comfortable and the staff were friendly. - We enjoyed our breakfast and the room was all that we required for our short stay.. We ordered rib-eye steaks which were disappointing. They were tough and one of them was full of grissle. It was disappointing to pay for what we thought would be good quality meat for it not to be up to our expectations.

- EVELYN (9/5): Ideal stay - Very cosy place. Excellent food. Lovely staff. Internet not good.
- Phillip (5/5): Underwhelming and overpriced. - Breakfast was good Room was drab and the decoration needs improving. The heating was off on arrival and it took ages to warm up.
A hard floor had been laid in the corridor and this was noisy when people walked up and down. Great for keeping clean but not so great for the guests.

- Tamar Longmuir (8/5): Great stay - Very warm welcome and was taken to our room, nice clean and comfortable room with lots of little extras like shampoo, lotion, biscuits, tea, coffee and bottles of water ect. Big TV which is unusual but very appreciated. Bed was comfortable, nice big shower and everything we could need. Lovely breakfast, one full English and one vegetarian, both were well cooked and very tasty! Bit confused on where to leave the key but think that was my error!

- peter (9/5): Lovely stay! We’ll be back - Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Very friendly staff.
- Keith (10/5): Brilliant place - This pub accomodation was exceptionally well thought out and well managed. The facilties were not top luxury but everything was in good condition and everything worked properly. Even the shower was plumbed to give immediate hot water and the mirror was heated so you could use it immediately after showering. Little items that usually are overlooked were sorted. We ate at the pub and the food was good. Not high cuisine but good ingredients cooked well and all for what I believe to be unusually reasonable prices. All the staff were friendly and were efficient.
All in all I would heartily recommend this place and would be very happy to go back if I were in the area.
Well done to you all and thanks.

- Sandra (9/5): Lovely place for overnight or short stay in Somerset. - The accommodation was perfect for us, the bottled water, biscuits and everything was topped up daily. The staff were excellent, they couldn't do enough for us, everyone was very friendly and attentive. The location was on a fairly main road, easily reachable by road, decent sized car park. Beer was excellent. Good breakfast. I would have liked some healthier options for evening dinner, though the food was all cooked well and promptly and looked lovely.
- Geoff (8/5): Very good stopover in middle of Somerset levels. - Room smallish but very good, comfy bed, good wifi, nice tv, good tea tray, updated bathroom
Decent beer in bar
Decent pub food menu
Very good breakfast
Plenty parking
Traditional pub in quiet village. For a pub room it was slightly over budget, over £100 for B,B & EM , but it was a good stay.
If anything, mini basin was a bit annoying when it comes to filling kettle and washing.
- Robert (10/5): -
- tim (10/5): - Breakfast was amazing, room clean and very comfortable
- Carl Bolton (9/5): - friendly staff good food and beer at a good price. nothing
- Brett (9/5): We really enjoyed our visit. The venue offered good value and staff were welcoming and helpful. - Breakfast was lovely, well present and great options.
The room was very clean, neat and the bed was comfortable.
Dinner - N/A
Parking was easy and lots of space and felt secure. No dislikes
- Amos (10/5): Excellent stay to visit Cornwall, southern Wales and the southern coast of England. - We had stayed here 1 1/2 years ago and returned due to Leah's kind attention and excellent chief skills. We were served a custom cooked breakfast with many options like pancakes, full English, omelet and such every morning. Leah also served us supper in the restaurant/PUB as well. The stay is close to Cornwall and southern Wales. My wife enjoyed the prawn sandwich and I enjoyed the steak and ale pie. Everything was homemade and good food. This is one our favorite places to stay when on holiday. We saw lots of castles, Cheddar Gorge, wild goats, waterfalls, seals, white chalk cliffs, Stonehenge, Avebury Henge, Salesbury Cathedral, and many other sights in the area. Nothing bad to say about a quiet inn in a rural location with excellent food.
- Day (10/5): -
- suzanne (10/5): - Location, food and the staff were great Nothing bad at all
- Tracy (10/5): - Free parking.
Breakfast excellent.. gluten free options.
Vegetarian options...
Bed very comfortable. Bedding lovely
Quiet even though your staying at the pub.
Been 3 times now.
Great for clarks village Bath was difficult to get in and out off. ( shower in the bath)
- ray (9/5): A very friendly local pub with a relaxing ambience. Would stay again without a doubt. - Evening meal was perfect, my blue steak was the best I've eaten for a very long time. Breakfast was ideal to start the day. The locals were friendly and pleasant company and I'm sure that the staff would have gone the extra mile if asked. The room was great except that there were no electrical sockets by the desk/dressing table so was unable to connect my laptop, This is in no way a complaint but more of a minor inconvenience.
- Sheila (9/5): -
- Morian (10/5): -
- Roberts (8/5): -
- Anna (6/5): Friendly but a little tired - It’s a little tired but the staff on the whole are friendly. The food is okay and the room was comfortable although one side of the bed sloped towards the outer edge! The heating was on as well, despite the radiator set to ‘off’.
- Mike Burton (6/5): -
- hugh (8/5): Friendly and nice location and value for the money - Breakfast was excellent
View from room was ok
Staff were were lovely
We did have a nice stay and it was value for the money
- Sarah (9/5): - Great local pub with accommodation and good food. Despite an earlier power cut the pub was busy, happy staff and welcoming 3 football screens showing the same match. Keep one end for non football addicts
- David Vaughan (10/5): - Excellent food for a smallish pub.
- Louise (9/5): -
- Brian (8/5): Comfortable and value for money -
- Glanville (10/5): Excellent - Excellent food, friendly staff, clean
- Graeme (10/5): Great Village pub - Excellent hotel , friendly staff and locals with very good food . The turkey and ham pie was particularly good.
- simon (8/5): - Breakfast excellent, room satisfactory but bed very comfortable.
- wolfgang (3/5): Only for heavy sleepers.. or with earplugs!! - The room was pristine! The bed was comfortable and there were enough tea and coffee packages to last for a few days, even a few biscuits, too! The pub was good, too and the people friendly! The breakfast deserved 20 points from 10!!! Freshly made, delicious!! The best ever! We would have loved to give this place 10/10, but we had the worst nights sleep ever here.. we slept for maybe 3 hours out of sheer exhaustion! There were two extractor fans directly outside our window that were extremely loud. There was air conditoning in our room, but it was even louder than both the fans!! It sounded like a truck revving up all the time! As it was a warm summers night, we melted in our beds! According to the receptionist, there were no alternative rooms available! We will definitely never stay here again, and can only recommend this place either in winter.. or for very heavy sleepers!!
- Paul (9/5): Excellent stay which met all our requirements. - Staff were friendly and very helpful - food (evening meal & breakfast) was of good quality and value for money. We had an excellent stay which met all our requirements. On this occasion there wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- sheila (10/5): -
- michael (7/5): - Breakfast was lovely
- Ute (10/5): -
- Kartik (9/5): - Clean, comfy rooms - good value for the money
- Kylie (9/5): Beautiful village, nice old pub serving good pub grub. Staff also brilliant 🤩 - Located in a beautiful village just off the M5. Perfect for our stop off on our way home from Falmouth back to Derbyshire. We both had gammon steak and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good choice of ciders too! Not really a negative but as it’s summer the drinkers outside where quite noisy BUT this property has air con so this was our choice to keep the windows open and there wasn’t any noise after around 10.30. This is just an observation. We thought the air con option was excellent. Good to note also there’s no shop that we saw.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): perfect or our very short visit, comfy bed and great breakfast, thank you - really excellent breakfast, eggs and kippers and roasted tomaotes thank you the room really needs redecorating, black door and brown walls in 2025? really someone needs to take on this project and update the look !
