- Jasmin (2/5): - Leider haben wir nicht auf die vielen schlechten Bewertungen der anderen Gäste geachtet und trotzdem dieses Hotel gebucht. Das Personal bis auf eine Rezeptionsmitarbeiterin war durchgehend frech und unhöflich. Ein NoGo in der Hotellerie! Null Service . Da unser Flug am nächsten Tag ziemlich früh war, baten wir 2x darum, uns Lunchpakete bereit zu stellen. Unsere gebuchte Zimmerrate war inklusive Frühstück. Am Abreisetag waren dann keine Lunchpakete für uns vorbereitet. Die Sauberkeit im Hotel ist unter dem Niveau eines Sternehotels. Mein Sohn hat nach dem Baden im Thermalbad einen Ausschlag bekommen. Das Zimmer war ok, das Bett auch . Das Badezimmer leider schmutzig Das Frühstückspersonal total lustlos und unhöflich. Patzige Antworten bei einer einfachen Frage wegen der Milch. Dieses Hotel werden wir nicht mehr buchen und auch nicht weiterempfehlen.

- 820amert (2/5): AVOID HOTEL HILLS – Extremely Disappointing Wedding Experience - I am writing this review so that future couples can get a realistic picture of what to expect if they decide to organize their wedding at Hotel Hills. Had I known then what I know now, I would never have chosen this place for the most important day of my life. 👉 Food & Service – Far Below Standard Dinner was served cold and in waves – half the guests were eating while the other half were still waiting. The soup, which was supposed to be a proper starter, was reduced to just a few spoonfuls. Drinks, advertised as “unlimited,” often took up to 30 minutes to arrive, and some guests never received theirs at all. The mezze plate was a joke – three slices of dry meat and three pieces of cheese. Either they were cutting costs or this is their actual “standard,” but in no way is it worthy of a hotel claiming five stars. Overall, the food was tasteless, cold, and poorly presented. The only decent part was the cake. 👉 Organization – Complete Chaos On the wedding day, instead of enjoying the moment, I was called down to fix the seating plan because the hotel staff had rearranged it without asking. They had placed the parents of both the bride and groom in random corners of the hall. Had I not intervened, our families would have been scattered all over the place. 👉 Conditions in the Hall The hall was freezing cold. Guests literally asked for blankets, which is something that should never happen in a so-called luxury hotel. 👉 Hotel & Accommodation International guests, including those who traveled from Norway, arrived to find their rooms not ready. In some cases, they even walked into rooms that looked like they were already occupied, with personal belongings scattered around. When they complained, the reception staff told them they were “lying” and to go check again themselves. Absolutely unacceptable behavior for a hotel that promotes itself as five-star. Needless to say, these guests made it clear they would never return. 👉 Final Impression My wedding at Hotel Hills was marked by unprofessional staff, poor service, and total disorganization. I am not writing this expecting the hotel to improve – I doubt it will. I am writing so at least one future couple might read this and avoid making the same mistake. Sarajevo and the surrounding area offer many beautiful venues for weddings, and if I could choose again, Hotel Hills would definitely not be an option. The entire concept of this hotel falls far below what is advertised. Walking through the hallways you’ll even find shoes lined up outside rooms – something you’d expect in a hostel, not in a supposed five-star hotel. And lastly, the management deserves a mention. Ms. Mirha, in particular, left us with the impression that she simply does not care about weddings at all.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel weder die 5 sterne noch den Preis wert! - Die Zimmer sind auf dem ersten blick super, aber bei genauem betrachten sah man dass das Hotel schon etwas "älter" ist. Gebrauchsspuren an ziemlich allem sind zu sehn. Grundsätzlich hat mich das nicht gestört da ich über solche Sachen hinweg sehe, jedoch ist der Abdluftventilator im Bad (geht gleich an sobald man im Bad das Licht an hat) sehr störend laut, aber das schlimmste kamm erst nach der ersten Nacht. Wir hatten auf der Ablagefläche im Zimmer über die Nacht etwas essen/überreste vom Essen liegen gehabt, die dann eine Armee von Ameisen anzog und die dann im Zimmer blieben, und erst nach wiederholtem beschweren bei der Rezeption wurde uns erst ein neues Zimmer gegeben. Ich Persönlich finde es eine frecheit diesem Hotel 5 Sterne zu geben und vor allem bei dem Preis den mal zahlt (man zahlt in Sarajevo im zentrum einen besseren Preis für ein besseres Hotel.)

- Nammy043 (8/5): One of the best hotels in Sarajevo - One of the best hotels in Sarajevo, especially if you have children due to the number of pools. I can't believe some of the negative reviews others have posted, I can only assume they've not travelled much . The hotel is perhaps not of the extravagant level of Dubai or some of the 5 star hotels in Turkey but it is better than most of the hotels in the UK. Be assured this is a very good hotel in a beautiful setting with tons of on site facilities. It's close to the airport, and the tram stop to the Old Town is quite close. There's shops and restaurants inside and nearby. Bosnia is fast developing for tourism and things are really taking off in this country. - Sandra (10/5): - Sehr schönes Hotel. Super freundliches Personal. Saubere und sehr großzügige Zimmer mit Balkon. Große Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem ruhigen Stadtteil ist aber dennoch sehr zentral gelegen. Nur zu empfehlen und ich würde es selbst auch immer wieder buchen.

- shaiaziz (6/5): Disappointing - The overall experience was underwhelming. The location is convenient, especially for travelers needing quick access to the airport. The room was spacious, which was a pleasant surprise, and the staff were friendly and efficient both check-in and check-out were smooth. But unfortunately, the room was not very clean, which took away from the comfort of the stay. The furniture was noticeably outdated and in need of refurbishment. The lobby also lacked warmth and felt more like a public shopping space than a traditional hotel entrance. There was a kettle in the room but no complimentary water. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, if you want to eat out or explore local dining options.

- suzanneaU6940KG (8/5): I had a conformable stay at Hotel Hills Sarajevo, good value for money - I had a comfortable stay at Hotel Hills Sarajevo, and I'm surprised by some of the reviews which to me appear to be hurtful. It's natural for people to have different expectations and standards, but some guests appear to be overly criticizing the hotel & its staff instead of raising points of concerns for improvement. Here's my own experience at Hotel Hills Sarajevo: 1. The hotel staff were professional, helpful, and courteous. Guests could easily and directly speak to the hotel staff if they had concerns or if they required assistance. 2. The reception/front desk provided currency exchange services. 3. The room was spacious and clean, there's a safe, toiletries and clean towels were available/restocked every day unless guests indicate not to be disturbed sign. The beds however are really high, which could be an issue for seniors/elderly or kids or people with health issues. 4. I only had breakfast at the hotel, the restaurant on the ground floor was spacious, with an abundant buffet that includes a wide variety of dishes/drinks/deserts/fruits, which could cater to all tastes. 5. There's a small souvenir and gift shop on the ground floor, near the reception/front desk, with reasonable prices and amiable staff. 6. There are on-site amenities facilities, however I did not use them. 7. The Hotel's location in my opinion is good. 8. I'm a non-smoker, I didn't have any issues in terms of smoking, guests were smoking outside the hotel.
- CarloHelmond (6/5): Not a 5 star hotel - When i make reservations for a 5 star hotel i have certain expectations. They were not met in this hotel. The biggest issue is that the hotel allows smoking in public areas and that is something that you smell throughout the hotel. Also be aware that the hotel i close to the airport. You can almost touch the planes. Having said that, Sarajevo is not a busy airport. The room is fairly large but does require some maintenance. A/C seems to be an issue in a lot of rooms. So ventilation is only done by opening the door to the balcony. Food is Ok (just ok), but during events they use a smaller menu. If you are attending an event in this hotel, there are some other hotels in the close neighborhood. The hotel is 10km from the city center. So consider to stay there to prevent transportation

- ZAHID (10/5): - Hotel has one of the best breakfast offers. They offer lunch and breakfast foods with great choices of Bosnian and International foods. Hotel has great parking space and its quick walk from popular Vrelo Bosne park. This hotel has a whole city inside the hotel, and its great spot for staycation.

Det finns mycket att göra på hotellet och stort serviceutbud, men det blir svårt att hålla hög standard över hela utbudet när det är så stort. Men det som vi hade svårast för är att man röker inomhus i navet för hotellet (baren under glaskupolen), där rök sprider sig till alla delar av hotellet. Det känns inte rent.

Don't rely too much in GPS or Google Maps, but th y will bring you close to the hotel and it is visible from afar. Staff is good and IMHO, the best part if the stay. Hotel itself has seen better days. Sky Bar, which was supposed to be on floor 11 was a horror show - pitch dark corridors with things on the floor. They also hosted some event in one of their ballrooms. It was incredibly noisy and it lasted until dawn, preventing me and my wife from having a good night's sleep. One good point goes to the breakfast buffet. Food was excellent and diverse. If you never visited Turkey this is as close as it gets in terms of good - meaning, it was tasty, diverse and plentiful. Overall, it isn't a bad place to stay but noise was a bit too much for us.

- 37LaurentiuB (4/5): Five stars? maybe in the sky, not here, poorly managed and below expectations. - I had high expectations for a five-star hotel, but sadly, my experience was far from what I would consider luxury. The room was large, which at first seemed promising, but that impression quickly faded. It was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly — not even the bathroom. There were no towels, no bathrobes, and none of the basic toiletries like shower gel or shampoo. Several light bulbs weren’t working, which made the room feel dark and neglected. On top of that, the furniture was scratched, stained, and in poor condition — definitely not what you'd expect from a place that markets itself as high-end. As for the food, I have to say it was actually very good during the first two days. We were able to enjoy our meals in the restaurant on the ground floor, which offered a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, on the last day, things went downhill. Due to some poorly organized events, we were redirected to the bar on the 11th floor. Once there, we were told it was reserved for a private event and were turned away again. Eventually, we were sent to what looked like a conference room hastily converted into a dining hall — a far cry from the experience we had the previous days. Overall, this stay was filled with disappointments — from cleanliness to basic amenities and poor management of facilities. This hotel may have five stars, but the service and attention to detail definitely don’t reflect that. I would not recommend it, and I will certainly not be returning.

- Kelly-Marie87 (6/5): Avoid if you do not smoke - If you are a non smoker do not stay here, hotel allows smoking, ignored complaint regarding the hotel room old smoke smell, we had to sleep with the door open both nights. Spa was beautiful, pool was tired. Food was reasonable in the wellness area, again smokers all around, breakfast was interesting - we only had it for one morning. Room service was extremely slow with items missing.

- JimmySumKahWai (8/5): We have a good stay here. - We stayed here for a night after traveling from Zagreb and having just completed our Sarajevo Old Town tour. Nicely located in the center of the green oasis of Sarajevo and within short distance from the International Airport Sarajevo. It is a big Hotel (some 330+ rooms and suites) and comes complete with facilities like multi-purpose Congress center, Thermal spa’s, indoor and outdoor swimming pools etc, It was very packed at the entrance and lobby during our check-in at about 6pm. Clamped spacing rather strange for a big hotel.. The front carpark was also filled fully. The rooms were large and comes with a balcony, The view is good and can see far beyond, taking in the attractive Panoramic view to the green surroundings of the Hotel is definitely a plus! But the tiles were very cold to the feet, having rained & its early-Dec. Good amenities and x2 pillow make for a sounder sleep. We keep the windows ajar to let in the chill air.. But here comes a catch, we all stayed at 9F and the dinner is at 11F. However the lift buttons all pointing downwards and we all stumbled a while before we walked up 2 levels, strange right?! The dinner buffet was good and spread extensive. However they are sticky with each table only 1 bottle of water.. Breakfast is at 1 floor, a bigger dining area. Again no complain as the bf spread was the biggest we had over past 3 Hotels in Balkans! Definitely recommends.

- 1girlwhotravels (6/5): Hotel standards need review - The front desk service provided by Ema was amazing! The room was okay but pillows lacked any substance. The biggest disappointment was being on the ninth floor on an 80° day and the air conditioning was turned off for the season. The elevators had some issues and temporarily stopped working. The meals in the restaurant were decent and very good value. The massage service was lovely. The pool & hot tub were good with an unusual changing room and unknown to us should have brought towels from the room; interestingly, enough they were referring to the bathrobes provided in the room however, there was clear instructions not to take wear the bathrobes outside of the room. Anyone else confused? There was no lock to the door inside the room for any security, so we tossed a suitcase in front of it every night. The bathroom had some interesting challenges with controlling water the faucet spurted all over the place and the toilet would never stop running or flush properly.

Salt room could be better, because you have to call worker to get there and plug the fan which will spread salt in the room, but altough she did that, I wasn't feeling that is working. Staff especially waiters could be better. They are grumpy, speaking up their chin, and arguing among each other. Outside pool is moldy and dirty. Inside pool is nice, but even if the jumoing in the pool is prohibitet, no one from the staff is reacting when teenagers are doing that. Everyone is looking in their phones. Internet connection is good. There are a lot of parking spaces.

- Osman (4/5): - I’ll start with that some of the employees we came across during breakfast and dinner were good. The room we had has been worn a bit. It wasn’t cleaned daily and even when we asked the cleaning was not the best. The person at the pool named Kenan yelled and cursed at me and family and asked for a receipt for chairs and sun umbrella which you can’t get unless you pay for it. There is a huge food menu however most of the vegetarian stuff they didn’t have. Some of the waiters would say mean things about other guests in Bosnian which is completely unacceptable. Around the hotel is extremely dirty with trash everywhere. One night the waiter put someone’s coke at our table and our son accidentally drank from it, the waiter saw it and proceeded to pour it for someone else. Some of the guests at this hotel also touch everything- you have to almost police the table. It was better when I stayed here two years ago-never again.

- Companion61365896739 (10/5): Very good family friendly hotel - We stayed for two nights, my nine year old son and myself. We paid £173 for two nights. The swimming pool was very good. Breakfast buffet is huge and lots of food. We are at the dinner buffet one night and also had the a la carte the other night, both meals around £25 for the two of us and more than we could eat. Ice cream each was £2. Close to airport but with windows closed you don't hear anything. Lots of local attractions. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, the waiters were attentive to my son and very kind to him. Attached to the hotel is kinderland, which is a soft play and trampoline centre all in one, superb value and you pay £3 for all day and can come and go, but it's not the UK, you have to be responsible for your own child. Table football was a mark a go (50pence) Drinks and coffee at the hotel were £2 for coffee or soft fizzy drinks. The staff were so kind and made sure we had the hotel number to ring if we got into any issues in town. A good hotel for all, the rooms were massive with a balcony. Do be aware that the cafe restaurant allows smoking I'm a smoker so I was happy As a dad traveling alone with my son, they didn't ask silly questions about where his mother was, the staff simply looked after him really well. The hotel is a great price for what we had, there is sometimes a language barrier but the staff do care. The swimming pool is very strict and made it clear children are to be with parents at all times. We would come back here

I would praise the bedroom cleaners,as they were lovely and helpful.Just a pity the cafe waiters were so bad.

I did complain - but rather than react to my complaint - it took ages to be able to pay my billl. I would not eat here again.

- British_Australian (6/5): Reasonable hotel outside city centre - This hotel looks nice, however, the cleanliness levels aren't great. There is alot of mould in the bathrooms, and in one the shower head was coming away from the ceiling and leaking from the pipes in the ceiling. In the other the bath shifted alot and creaked when standing in it. The beds are large and relatively comfortable. The kettle was filthy with white gunk floating in it. There is also a bad smell outside the back of the hotel, I think coming from nearby buildings/factories. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was not always easy, unless you are willing to walk alot. There is only one disabled bay at the front which gets blocked off during some events. People often seemed to park across the closer parks, and often people sped around the drop off zone very fast. One driver came very close to hitting me as a pedestrian. The barber attached to the hotel is very friendly and polite and does a good job. The hairdresser/salon had one woman working in it who seemed very annoyed/rude when we enquired to services and prices. However, her colleague came in, and took over who had excellent customer service. Unfortunately I was quite put off by the first staff member as she made it seem like it was such an inconvenience we were there. The pools are quite nice and large, however, it is open to the public so lots of people on weekends. The slides aren't open all the time, but were on the weekend. I cannot say I recommend the massages in the hotel at all. My partner and I had 2. The first was quite enjoyable, however, the second was painful and I repeatedly told the masseuse it was too hard. She argued saying it needed to be and I would "feel better for it later". I did not, I have uploaded photos of the severe bruising on my arms that I was left with. I have been unable to sleep on my side for days and any form of touch is agony. I did go back and complain, and I was told it was because I had 2 massages in close succession. This cannot be the case as the first masseuse did not even massage my upper arms. She proceeded to rub ice up and down the bruises which did not help, and then put a peppermint oil on the bruises. I was reluctant to let her as I am not a fan of peppermint but she insisted it would help. I had been wearing a brand new dress that day and she pushed down the sleeves across the bruises on to the oil as far as she could, I think to hide how bad they were to other clientel. I have washed the dress 3 times already and still can't get the peppermint oil off it. The peppermint did not help at all. My partner has been very upset that they paid for the massage for me to be hurt so badly, and was annoyed the masseuse seemed to be full of excuses as to why it happened rather than taking responsibility. Reception staff were very helpful in providing ice for the bruising and swelling, and showed alot of empathy and kindness to the pain I have been in. Room service could be hit and miss. Some meals were fantastic. The steaks were generally perfectly cooked, I had one lot of chips/pomme fritz that were so under done they were still potatoes. One pizza was perfect, however, a different cook made the same type under done with excessive herbs. As to the location of the hotel, it is quite far from Sarajevo old town. However, the area it is in is quite nice. There are shopping malls, cafes, post office, beauticians and most of what you could need nearby. I preferred staying there and travelling into the city (by car) as it was a bit more relaxed as the old town was very crowded. The breakfast was busy but has a fair few options, including curry, Tomato soup and pasta. In all, the hotel is quite nice but I do not think its 5 star quality especially with the hygeine levels. I would still stay there again but definitely avoid getting a massage.

- Jamal (4/5): - I stayed 7 nights at hotel Hills with my family. Check in was very disappointing. They offer nothing to drink at the reception like other five stars hotels. They will keep your passport for one hour which I couldn’t understand why. No one explained. Reception was also very tiny and crowded. The Breakfast has no taste even though they have big breakfast buffet. Nothing organic which was very disappointing as they call the hotel five star. The staff was somehow nice at the restaurant. The hotel is too crowded and the staff is too busy pleasing outsider guest. There are wedding event every Saturday and Sunday night and all the staff was too busy with wedding guests. Too noisy hotel. People are allowed to Smoke everywhere not ideal place for people with asthma allergies or lungs problems. They offer kids and adults pool to hotel hills guests but keep in mind that you have to pay 7 mark pr. seat in the pool. Don’t expect Cleaning at the pool at all. We are definitely coming to Sarajevo again but will not chose this hotel. We only booked this hotel because of 5 stars. But they have are too far as a five star level. We have stayed in many five stars hotels around the world this was the biggest disappointment.

- Adnin (4/5): - Bereits beim Einchecken war das Personal sehr gestresst und gab den Stress direkt an die Kunden weiter. Im Zimmer angekommen war die Klospüle defekt und Wasser ist ganze Zeit geronnen. Die Bademäntel waren sehr abgenützt sowie die Badetücher welche Make Up Flecken hatten. Ein weiterer Minuspunkt ist das man nicht im Bademantel zum Wellnessbereich darf. Doch wenn man einmal im Wellnessbereich war will man sowieso nicht mehr hin. Der gesamte Wellnessbereich ist veraltet und Renovierungsbedürftig. Der Saunabereich ist das einzige was Potential hätte wenn man sich mehr um die Hygiene kümmern würde. In der Nacht war es fast unmöglich einzuschlafen da irgendwelche Konzerte im Hotel waren und die Musik sehr laut war so dass man den Bass im Zimmer richtig spürte. Wir waren ziemlich enttäuscht vom Hotel, denn das ist alles außer ein 5 Sterne Hotel!
- Biljana (8/5): Not so great - The hotel has a huge thermal spa complex which was the reason we picked it. However, the hotel seems to be short of staff, not able to manage crowds of guests. Most disappointing was breakfast - lots of food choices in a dark overcrowded restaurant. Food was not presented nicely, pieces of cheese and salami looked as if they were thrown on the plate. I could not find a hand sanitizer in the restaurant. Room was huge, but slightly worn our. The pools were clean and not crowded. The wifi was very slow. When asked about it, the receptionist said it works fine for him! Other receptionists were very kind. Overall, for next time I would choose another hotel.

- Christian (4/5): It's a trap - The hotel didn't live up to expectations. The outdoor pool area was closed during our stay, basically our reason for booking. Our room was located on the 10'th floor, initially a nice surprise because of the view, but the skybar was located on the floor above, which hosted a wedding that lasted until 12:30 in the night, while we were trying to sleep, complete with a band. After it was over, cleanup started and the moving around of tables kept us awake for another 90 minutes. Really bad idea to host a party above the hotel rooms. The guests for the party took up all the elevators, so we had to either wait 10 minutes for the lift or use the stairs - the stairs were filled with puke however. The room itself was very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was alright, they clearly used a bunch of leftovers for sidedishes though. The service from the staff in general was far from what you would expect from any 5 star hotel, not a very friendly atmosphere in general.

They do not serve lunch, they put wet linen on the bed, Wifi is not working, there are rubbish and cigarettes all over the swimming pool area, skybar is closed in the evening, breakfast is horrible (all coffe machines out of order, the buffet looks like a battleground, they do not clean up after breakfast, so you have to find a table and eat together with others garbage.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The ambience at the Hills is second to none. Hotel is situated close to the airport, about 8mins drive. Room is impeccable with an extended view over the city. Water parks sees a lot of people over the weekend and that makes it a very busy place, you could get lost in the midst of the swimmers. It’s a place I would like to visit again as I like to meet people. IFTDO conference was holding at the same time I was there and I got the opportunity to meet the conference President (Sanja), she was full of life as she took her time to explain the city and places to visit. I’ll definitely come back again to enjoy the ambience.
